Bamiyan Kabob

The chicken kabob dinner was fantastic! The chicken was beautifully grilled and amazingly juicy! My daughter and I loved it.

These employees need some training on how to clean table and floors properly and assist customers rather than texting on the phone.

Food taste has been great as always so far.

Food doesnt tase the same as it always, anymore. Will try different location may be. If that doesnt work out than its time to say bye to bamiyan. Wish me luck!

I love the tandori chicken here. And my wife loves the lamb. This is good stuff. Price is good, portions are good.

Not impressed by the food. We ordered Chapli kebab, lamb shank and chicken kebob (boneless). Though the serving size was good, everything tasted like cardboard. Lamb shank was well done and we liked that, but it lacked spices and the sauces were not able to elevate the flavours. Chicken kabob tasted ok with the bread they included in the package but only when paired with the tomato sauce.

I doubt I will recommend this place to anyone I like!

Delicious, in a word! The tandoori is so good and so tender. I personally don't order the rice, but my family says it's good. The naan is delicious, and so is the red and white sauce!

I’m not sure what happened to this place, but since Covid it has gone downhill. The chicken is rubber, the beef is chewy and there is Zero taste to the rice. The naan is the best thing about this place now.

Honestly I have came here before and I left a 4 star review for this place because at the time it was a 4 star place. Now I can’t say that unfortunately… just left right now. First off place was extremely dirty. I came to originally dine in with my family but no body asked me for vaccine status! I saw their staff take another 8-10 orders and no one was asked of vaccine status. Another issue was the fact the staff themselves don’t wear the mask or if they are they have it below their mouth to of which at that point it’s useless even having it on. Final straw was the lack of hospitality by the staff. No one was rude to me thankgod. Never have I personally had a bad experience with their staff but over the span of the 15 mins I was there I witnessed 4 arguments between customers and staff. All the staff did was literally laugh at the customer to of which I was in shock. Never have I seen staff with such disrespect to their customers. This place used to be one of my top favourite places. Food still is great no complaint there but they do need to have a change in management and find more hospitable staff. I will try again after the pandemic and see if they have gotten any better and then I will change my rating.

Been a regular here for a very very long time have not gone here since the pandemic. Was my moms birthday and wanted to give her something special. This was not what I had in mind. Did Take out $80 worth of Kebabs all different kinds.including the new Lamb Shank.the Lamb chops have been cut down so thin there is very little chance of not having it overcooked. Everything was dry and overcooked.the beef Tenderloin was so tough. I have done take out before and I was not far from my house. The only good thing was the Lamb Shank.so disappointed as I loved this place and reading the latest reviews you can see this is not one off. The customer service was decent. I did call after the meal to give feedback. All I was told the lady that picked the call would give the feedback to the manager. Really disappointed. Please take this feedback seriously, I know you guys at your best. I hope in the future to try your food again and hope you get back to your five stars I gave you over 5 years ago!

OLD-They have multiple locations, what I like is they are all consistent. That's what matters have eaten here several times and so per other reviews definitely recommend the Kofta dinner but please remember to ask for no rice unless you enjoy a huge plate of rice with your meal! Also recommend the Firnee desert if you tried one of their spicy offering!

They use to be number 1 on my list but now they're going down the hill, for both quality and customer service. I ordered Chicken kofta kabobs but received beaf kofta kabobs. Secondly, even for dine in you have to use low quality disposable containers which they normally use for takeout. So convenient but environmentally unfriendly.

Been here so many times I've lost count and I honestly can say this is the best place to eat.anywhere, anytime, anyplace. This place is consistent, always fresh, always the same good food.keep it up. If anyone tells you they got a better spot, give them a good shake, they need to come back to reality.

This location is the worst, second time they’ve done this. Giving my order away to someone else and then trying to blame me for the order. The customer service is disgusting. They made me wait for 20 mins and then asked me to wait for another 20 mins. They didn’t even apologize. If I could give them a smaller score, I would have. If you want a real Afghan experience avoid this location.

Excellent food only complain is the lack of plates and the fact that I had to eat in takeout containers even tho we dined in

I’m really tempted to stop eating here not because the food is bad the food is AMAZING! It’s consistent, big portions and always tastes the same.you can’t go wrong with Bamiyan when you’re hungry. HOWEVER, this review is specifically for the amount of plastic wastage that I’ve noticed over the span of 6 years of ordering from here. I don’t use plastic utensils and I’m sure most people who do take out don’t as well and these plastic utensils end up in the garbage and in our oceans and highly impacts our environment negatively. Please I ask you to become more cognizant of the plastic utensils and napkins that go to waste.make it an option to ask people if they require these utensils (for pickup and online orders). Please ‘like’ this review so they can change and save our planet earth!

All restaurants now are back in business and even they allow minimum seating, but this place would let you dine in but they do not provide table ware or proper cutlery, instead they serve you food in a "to go" plastic bags and then you take it to a table, which is most probably not clean.
It is another way to save money by not hiring staff or pay wages.
Even food was not that great at all, very standard basic BBQ skewers, nothing special, if anyone would eat this food and say wow, then they do not know the real taste of Kabab (The real name of it).

Honestly I have been to many places similiar to Bamiyan but nothing really is as good. The meat here is always very juicy and flavourful. The rice and naan is always fresh and never stale.

The only downside to this place is that it does get extremely busy and becomes a bit chaotic inside which takes away from the pleasure of enjoying your food inside.

Overall great food and very authentic and tasty. However, I come here so often and find the waziri dinner is given to me with smaller skewer portion and at other times with a generous amount you expect from a skewer. Not sure why this is. It should be consistent every time. I hope the portions are not changing slowly as you’ve got your customer base. If that’s the case, I can’t be returning here as this is what majority of business do - start off with generous portions and in time, lose that aspect as well as customers.changing review to three stars as my latest waziri dinner chicken cubes weren’t cooked well and ended up in the garbage.

It's always busy and reliable source of delicious Afghan food! Pre-, during and post-covid, this restaurant has been consistently dishing out the same food quality, quantity of food, and consistent speedy service.

We stop by every few months just to get a reliable source of dinner. We usually get the Sultani Kebab Dinners with Rice and Salad. All meals come with a delicious naan and two sauces! Quality of food has not dropped at all!

Service is a bit spotty in terms of the interaction but that's due to the constant high-volume of customers and the pressure the staff constantly gets. They're very fast at taking your order and repeating it back to you to triple check. They take debit for the contactless interaction.

Tip: If you're close by, try and call ahead to see if you can get through the phone. Otherwise, a quick 15min wait ordering in person works too.

Great food marred by constant mistakes when picking up orders. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER or be prepared to be missing or having wrong items.

Delicious food at good price. Worth driving to enjoy meal with family.

Bamiyan is the original Afghan kabob joint here in Mississauga. It's absolutely packed a lot of the time and for good reason. In recent years Watan and pamier have been giving it a run but honestly I would eat in all 3 places, just depends on which one is less busy for me. Recommended dishes:

Beef- sultani kabob

Chicken- tandoori special

Vegetarian - Bolanee

Mango juice and shakes are pretty good too.

Consistency is key for a good restaurant, add in good portions and amazing taste that never fails and you have a recipe for a good thing, I can say that this location (Dixie) is hands down one of the best Afghan cuisine restaurants you can go to, cant beat the value.

Went to get take out for mother's day dinner. It has been several years since the last time I've been here and I've finally decided to write a review.

I am really happy and satisfied with what we got tonight. My mother had the grilled salmon dinner, my wife had the Kofta Kebab Dinner and I had the Barg Kebab dinner with an extra kofta added to it.

The food was delicious.my mother who was trying this place for the first time really enjoyed her salmon and I was blown away by how juicy and tender my Barg Kebab (filet migon) dinner was.

The amount of food that you get for what you pay is insane. It's been 3 hours since I had dinner, and I'm still stuffed. I think next time I will just get the meat and salad with no rice as it is a LOT of food.but then again, the rice is just so wonderfully fluffy and flavourful that I think I'd miss it.

I'm already salivating over the thought of going here again soon.

We had takeout for 6ppl today and wooow. That was more than for 6 ppl. Hugeee servings. Super fresssh salad, the rice is so smooth, meat so tender and juicyy. Naan, sooo soft! So happy to try it! Highly recommended for parties or even just satisfying your kebab cravings!

I had their Tandoori Kabob wrap which delicious! The kabobs were succulent and the wrap was very filling! For 9.50 after tax, I would say it's good value as well! Please keep in mind it is cash or debit only, no credit cards.

Food is excellent as usual, no complaints. Fresh, hot and delicious. Friendly staff. Have been going thete since years. My whole family loves their food. Recomend to everyone.

I got the tandoori chicken caeser salad (cos I'm trying not to eat rice, sadly) and it Made my day. It was so delicious. And packaged properly, really good portion.

There was a hair in my food waste of 35$ when i called them about it they said "its just hair its ok" stay away from this place went for years now I will never come back! They did not apologize and blamed me!

First time coming here and the food is amazing! I ordered the Sultani kabob and it is 10/10! Definitely coming back so delicious!

This is my all time favourite restaurant for kebabs and rice with salad. They do have other options available on their menus as well as side orders. A must try place for every one.

Absolutely amazing! There’s a reason why this is the OG Afghan spot in the GTA. Bread was piping hot, fresh out of the oven. The rice, salad, sauces were all fresh and delicious. The kebab and filet mignon pieces were cooked to perfection and delicious. Even when I ate the leftover a few hours later, it still tasted amazing. Highly highly highly recommend this place if you’ve never been. It’s as good as it gets!

I placed the order on the phone was told that it will be ready in 10mins got there in 10mins and food wasn't ready had to wait 30mins more for the food

This is our GTA must have spot! The mantu, kabobs, rice are delicious! The white sauce is amazing! Oh and that mango juice.yum!

Used to come here all the time. Food is very tasty; naan is great; barg & half chicken dinners superb; tandoori chicken nice and flavourful. Often the service doesn’t give out the correct food. Not always friendly service.

Terrible customer service. Placed a take out order and it took a full hour to get my food. Server was very rude and tried to give me someone else's REJECTED NAAN! I saw it with my own eyes! Some customer randomly came to the counter and gave his naan back and said he wanted a new naan. So she took his old naan and put it in MY food bag! Unbelievable! Disgusting and a total public health violation! I scolded her and told her to take it out of my bag and put in a fresh naan. She argued with me saying that he didn't touch it and it is fine. I insisted that I do not want anyone else's food - I want a fresh naan. So she angrily asked for another naan and I waited even longer for my order to be ready. No apology at all. Shameless people. I will never go to this place again.

Terrible customer service. Staff is unapologetic and lack basic customer service skills. Word of caution to anyone attending, make sure you clearly ask what the specific order contains, otherwise you will be surprised like we were. Placed an order for a chicken kabob dinner, instead what was given to us was beef and chicken kabob mix. When confronting the staff, this person got defensive and instead of apologizing for the mistake, this person said, "I did not take the order, don't tell me about this, we don't have chicken kabob dinner in our menu". Some people may have dietary concerns and may not eat beef. However, this person was adamant and kept going on, "I did not take the order, don't tell me about this, we don't have chicken kabob dinner in our menu".
100% will never be going to Bamiyan Kabob - Staff is rude, unapologetic, lack basic customer service skills, and they have zero issues in lying. Beware!

So my review of this place is based off of years of actually coming to this restaurant and supporting the business owners. As of the past 2 years, I would say this place has become some what of a circus inside. A lot of the customers who go there with their families treat the place as if it’s the back yard of their own house. They have absolutely no respect for their surroundings or fellow customers, not to mention the owners themselves are doing nothing about the circus that goes on in this establishment but rather enabling it. From extreme loud screaming of kids to disgusting left over pieces of meat and other leftovers that appear to be on the ground more often, it’s become an embarrassment. This place is supposed to be a place where they present traditional Food from Afghanistan, and for anyone who knows of the people from that region they would know hospitality and respect and cleanliness is a priority. When coming to this establishment I do not feel like I’m in a clean established restaurant anymore. I rather feel like its become a very unprofessional establishment with low class service. They lack customer service to the extreme, the workers all look like they hate their jobs and don’t care to serve you other than one girl who wears a hijab, she smiles and serves you with kindness. They don’t clean the restaurant often, hence every time I and others that I’ve known go there, the chairs are all over the place, food on the ground, food on the tables, and just overall unappealing to any customer who gives a damn about good dining. I would highly recommend a place like Mazar on Westmall instead as they have customer service and care for their customers. Another note, the servings at Bamiyan Kabob, particularly the Kofta Kabob also known as Koobideh has decreased by a large amount and yet the prices stay at a high rate and their traditional Persian drink of Dookh is in such a small cup when it is inexpensive to make, yet they charge a extremely high amount for the small amount. Overall this is very disappointing and I am very disappointed in the owners for not caring enough about their business.

Food is alright, service is questionable.
Price and taste of food is the reason for the stars but the service isn’t really the greatest could use some work

We ordered a Sultani kabob and a Chapli Kabob. The quantities were generous. The chicken tasted awesome and the beef was deliciously filled with flavour. The rice was well cooked but lacked any real spice. The Naans were really good. The dips were really strong compared to else where. Coming to desserts we ordered Firni and woah what a decision it turned out to be, for the price I didn't expect the quantity to be so generous. And the taste it was on a different scale, I couldn't stop until I finished even though I thought I was full from the kababs.

5/5 highly recommend bamiyan kebab and must try their new ice cream shake (its exactly like the peshawari ice milk icecream) very yummy with khoya rabri on top of ice cream scoop.
Tried almost everything at bamiyan and believe me every bbq item is soo mouth watering and juicy meat that i feel myself in meaty bbq heaven:) Chappali kebab, vazeri kebab, sultani kebab, aalo potato filled paratha- so yummiest.reasonable price and quality and quantity is extremely high. I wish they open atleast one of the branch in Alberta.

Extremely bad customer service.
Spent $30 on two plates of food, female staff at the counter with dyed hair wouldn't even give me some additional garlic sauce since they only gave us 1 garlic sauce for two dishes.

Right after I sit down, they put up a sign saying you need to pay $0.50C for garlic sauce. I would have gladly payed $0.50C for sauce, put the sign out earlier instead of letting your untrained staff rob you of customers. I felt like I was treated like a criminal for asking for sauce. If I were this franchise, I'd work on retraining that staff member, she gave me some extremely poor customer service, giving me attitude and lying to me outright.

Food quality was mediocre.
Beef Kofta was overcooked, too hard compared to some of the afghan restaurants I've been to. Chicken breast was too salty, dry and tuff.

Seriously wasted my $30.

Very good quality food, Huge portions, freshly cooked and grilled kabobs, family Friendly place, reasonable price and wait times.

I'm very new To Afghan cusine, any kind of middle Eastern actually but I quite enjoyed the spices in the meat and how flavourful and juicy it was, I wouldn't really call this a sit-down restaurant but I was in and out in maybe 40m so a great place to go for lunch, their Afghan naan is to die for, very different from my preconceptions having only known the Indian variety but just as good. Pictured the Chicken Kofta dinner combo with Naan, Mantu (beef dumplings covered in herbs garlic sauce and lentils, I think), and tandoori kabob

In my opinion, definitely not the best place to visit. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and waited up to an hour until I received it. When it comes, I see a piece of hair in it. At this point, I am like they make me wait so long to get served food that is contaminated. I go up to one of the clerks, tell them and even show them the piece of hair in my food. 5 seconds later, the cook whoever it is removes the piece of hair, put's THE SAME SALAD in another bowl. The clerk brings me my SAME SALAD within a FEW MINUTES. The guy is like "here you go" and I just go with the flow expecting some change. Later that day, I got food poisoning and I still have it the morning I am writing this. Clearly, not the best place to go. Note for Inspection Agency of Canada: Make sure they are wearing plastic gloves and such, hair nets and other required material and to visit them more often. And if possible, to check if they follow specific food preparation guide's such as ones thought when taking the food handling guide book. From what we may know, non of the cooks even took the food handling course.
