If I could give zero star I would. Terrible food. My sister ordered food from here and when I opened up the takeout, I was in disbelief! Their rice was so bland and didn't even have flavour to it and their salad looked so old. I tried to pick out the good lettuce out to eat but at the end I threw it away and their meat portion compared to the rice was SO darn small and half of it was just the bone and it was seriously a waste of money for such bland food. I had to add my own sauce to the rice to est cause I didn't want to throw it away. Never getting food from here ever. And please use fresh lettuce!

I went to this bamiyan restaurant tonight. Before me their was a very rude lady customer, who kept swearing at the poor employee. The employee frohar who was extremely nice kept making the lady understand because she had no receipt. She could not do much about it. Frohar was full of patience, she has a excellent customer service. She managed to make her customer happy.

Next to impossible understanding the person who took my order over the phone. Foods good though.

This restaurant location and its management are terrible. I went in today after placing a phone order and gave them specific instructions on what I wanted. Not only did they take more than 20 minutes to prepare it even after I arrived but they messed up my entire order. The people working there had no idea what they were doing. There was a boy working there he looked about 16-17 and he was clueless. He had attitude and he just stood there staring at my face the entire time. You do not get paid to STAND AROUND you get paid to do things. They forgot to give me my naan and only gave me 2 sauces even though I ordered 2 chicken breast dinners and 3 barg kabob dinners. Another thing I noticed was their bathrooms had paper everywhere and the toilets were not flushed. Their garbage cans were FULL of things and not only this but their dining tables were COMPLETELY A MESS. They do not care about their customers and I had to clean my OWN table which I should not be doing after spending 70 dollars on food. NEVER COMING BACK HERE

I had a very bad experience yesterday as my salad had a tiny hair.when i called them that my food has a tiny hair she said everyone in the kitchen wears the hair net and she called someone from the kitchen area and he said it’s ok bring it back i will make you the fresh one.when i got there lady was it’s not fair cuz it’s a eyelash hair and it’s ok. I told her are you kidding me may be it’s ok for you to eat other people’s eyelash in your food.she was very rude with 0 customer service. I always go there but last night was my last visit to Bamiyan.

Smallest salad portion in the world. Food tastes amazing, but what gives?

(Yes, I took one bite of the chicken, but this is literally how much salad they gave me. Its basically enough to fit in the palm of one hand)

We keep returning to this delicious eating place for their Tandoori Chicken dinners, Cardamom Chai and their Spicy Potato Roti,

They didnot allow me dine in. I asked them why? They told because of Covid even I have both my vaccine shots and its proof is also with me. In Infront of me a woman dine in and left. I also order a chicken breast which includes also Kofta Kabob. They didnot add the Kofta Kabob. Now I have to eat it because I paid inside my car. It will be my last Bamyan Kabob. A very bad experience.

Terrible Customer service at this place. They treat you as if you are there to beg for food. One of staff dont even bother to answer and walk away as if i dont care. Never gonna go back.dont even deserve 1 star

Maantu is good and chicken is excellent but rice used is not upto the mark please use a better quality rice.

Zero consistancy. 1 day they will give you extra qabuli for no naan, next day they will say we never do it. This is the story everytime you call them. Management needs to figure out what there policy is

Nice experience there. Food, beverages and the traditionally made Ice Cream were tasty and represented well a part of Afghan cuisine. I will return there as soon as I get a chance.

First time there. I asked the server to recommend 4 kebobs and they were well cooked juicy and very flavorful. Four kebobs and 4 naan came up to $35, not cheap but worth it imo because of the quality.

Usually their food is great. This time the new lamb shank meal was VERY cold, like it was brought directly from fridge to customer. I think they assumed the hot rice would warm it up, unfortunately it didn't. It was the worst meal I have ever had there.

Been trying to order for months but they refuse to answer their phones, or even worse answer then disconnect the call immediately. I get it, you're busy, but have some respect and staff adequately. Not everyone wants to stand awkwardly in line for 30 minutes after traveling to your restaurant. Lost a loyal customer.

It's been a while since we have been here, probably pre covid, I forgot how juicy the beef and chicken is here! Glad we came back. We got the chicken breast kabob as well as the barg which is beef kabobs, so good. Love the fresh bread too. They call it naan, but it is closer to Persian bread more.

Never been disappointed by their food or staff in 14 years. You must try their beef chapli kabobs with the naan plus firni and yoghurt drink it's sooo good! And it's not oily or anything which is good

I have been enjoying the Bamiyan Kabob since many many years', when there was only one location at Overlea Blved. Almost most to dishes are delicious and in the right price. And price is still better than other Afghan foods. I would recommend please try the green tea as well after the your meal.

My husband loves their Bologne so whenever we are near, we stop & get it. All their food is great & reasonably priced.

I ordered 3 meals over the phone to pick up.at the Markham location. When I brought them home, one of the meals was not cooked properly, the Beef Chaplee. It was pink inside.gross! I immediately called the restaurant and told them that it was unacceptable to serve customers undercooked meat. I was told to take a picture of the chaplee and come back to the restaurant. Talk about an inconvenience! My kids were hungry and one of them now had to wait even more!

At the restaurant, I presented the pictures to the guy at the front counter. He dismissed the pictures by saying that is how they make the Beef Chaplee! I have had chaplee before at other restaurants and it was never pink! He then tells me that if I want it well done, I would have to wait 10 minutes. A few minutes later he offers me 2 Kofta Kabobs as a substitute stating that they take shorter time to make. I agreed. Then I noticed on the menu that the kabob dinner was $1 less than the chaplee. I pointed thst out to the employee. He insisted it was the same price, that is that the 2 kabobs costs the same as 2 chaplees (both had a value of 2.89 each). Apparently, he was only going to give me 2 kabobs instead of replacing the dinner, which included rice and salad. He reasoning was that I already have rice and salad at home! Thus, all I got was the 2 kabobs and the $1 difference between the two dinners. So, basically, I was inconvenienced with having to go back to the restaurant regarding uncooked meat and all I got was a substitute for the meat only. WOW! This restaurant does not care about providing safe food products or good customer service. I am never going back there.

Staff aren't kind at all and you have to repeat your order repeatedly. They take over 25 minutes preparing an order. They speak in their language about customers. They always burn food and forget items in orders. Very cheap with their sauces.

Bamyan is consistently good every time. I've been to this location several times and the guys are always nice and friendly. Of the several Bamyan locations I visit, this is the best one.

If you're in the neighbourhood visit these guys. Almost guaranteed you will not regret it.

I found it over rated. It is very simple food and I found it to be a bit pricey for the quality of the food. This rating is only my opinion.

Been to other Bamiyan locations and this one is just as good. A bit slow on service but they were short staffed and looking for help.
Male staffer was very friendly and asked if I would like extra rice or salad since I declined Naan bread.
Orderd 2 tandoori chicken kebab dinners, 1 kofta dinner and 1 mantoo (like dumplings). Delicious! Will drive from Stouffville to get take out anytime.

Food was not good. Wrong order. The staff was overwhelmed and I understand that this can happen but expected food to taste better. Mississauga location is better.

The food is good too but nothing crazy that you want to come back again and again. Prices are very reasonable. They do not accept credit cards

Visit this place if you like mismanagement and chaos and want to just wait for long times in a crowd of people near the counter for your order. Because when they call your number you cant hear it in the noise so everybody is crowded near the counter, periodically asking if their number was called. They probably make thousands of dollars everyday but can't even afford to install a number calling screen, like other self service places do.

Location has much improved from our last experience. Chaplee kabob and kofta kabob is awesome! If you like shredded carrots and raisins in your rice, order the Kabilee rice and order your kabob plates with just rice and salad.

We called this place on Saturday and asked if they were serving “sheer yakh” and they said yes. We drove all the way from Toronto to get some sheer yakh. We order 4 servings for take out and paid almost $27.00. When we got home we realized that what they are selling as “sheer yakh” is actually regular coconut ice cream. We were so disappointed and when I called the restaurant and the girl confirmed that they actually served cocoa ice cream instead of sheer yakh. They’re ripping people off! Disappointing service! Do NOT recommend!

Same taste as all the other bamiyans, so pretty good, a little bit stingy on the sauce tho, they don't give you the whitesauce unless you ask for it

Liked their Kabob. Rice and naan is accessory for any dishes you order and the portion was too much too. We couldn't finish the dishes so we need to ask for take out box. I would say money well spent. I would definitely bring my friends here. Place looks clean plus the service was good too.

I ordered chicken breast kabab dinner, the Rice was stick together, and the salad was only lettuce.
I ordered shir yakh or ice cream very hard pieces in it which was Frozen.

Meh. Food was okay. Service was okay. Not amazing in any way. I probably won't eat there again anytime soon.

My favorite place to eat. Love Bamiyan kabob. They make everything with their heart soul n love.perfect food n happy people.

Restaurant was very busy at 10pm but the kitchen was surely experienced at dealing with a lot of orders. Although there were 5 to 7 guests in front of us but once we placed our order it took only 15 minutes. And it was just amazing. Chicken was spicy enough for people who like spices and the kebabs were tender and juicy enough for people who love the pure taste of meat. They have plenty of seating area available so that was not a problem at all. Overall a good experience and the place is recommended for both spice loving South Asians and people with a taste for very mild spices.

Th iui s place is busy but in a good way, the wait wasnt too long and food comes out steaming. It was delicious and portion was great for the price. I will be returning.

This is second location I tried. Good food with huge amount. Price is very good compare to what you get. High chair is available for kids.

Mango & Ferini is best desert you can get and you should try it for sure.

I'm Chinese and I was very hesitant to get inside this restaurant, cause most people inside were from the middle East part of the world, the place is very spacious, lots of places to sit, the food portions are very big and can be shared by 2-3 people, prices range from 9.99~14.99 CAD. It's a fast food restaurant themed place where you don't have to pay for tips, the food are very good, and every dinner meal comes with a huge slice of bread. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the smoke inside the building due to broken ventilation on their ceiling and the bread that they gave me was burnt. Overall, amazing service and food.

EDIT (2 years later) : i asked the cashier, she said, "we use a beef broth to cook our rice".

Super good food and quantity is great to. Only issue is that it’s always packed therefore we can’t really go with friends.
