I have gone here a few times and try Afghan cuisine as they are underrated food to try besides Italian, Japanese or Canadian food. The last time I had was their lamb rice, and I remember the person who was serving us use his bare hands without gloves to grab the lamb, and he warm up the lamb in the biryani rice cooker. It is a decent food, if you want to try Afghan food. But I would recommend the Greater Toronto Area for Afghan and other international food. London, Ontario does not have those kind of international dishes compare to Mississauga, Brampton or Toronto. It is not really authentic food, but it is nothing too special just a normal food. I don’t visit downtown often, but I will give it a try one time. At least there is a business that serves Afghan food in this city unless you want better ones in Mississauga. London, Ontario does lot have any other Afghan, Turkish, Georgian or other international restaurants than just Italian, Japanese or Canadian. This city just has East Side Mario’s that is more North Americanized Italian food and is not even real Italian food from Italy that is what this city has to offer. At least Bamyan Afghan sticks with its Afghanistan roots of their own influence. This city is a downside if you want international food. So far, this is a decent Afghan food and portion is fair.
The employee of this restaurant was seen harassing a customer based on his ethnicity despite being an asylum seeking refugee in Canada who deserted his own motherland which he loves so much. This asylum seeking refugee should be sent back to Afghanistan, he doesn’t deserve to be in Canada.
Unprofessional staff Disrespectful towards customer Pathetic customer service The bald guys working there is rude Decided never gonna visit again! (Highbury store)
The food is good and very flavourful. The people are all very warm and kind. I always get two meals out of the kofta combo. Also the waziri combo. When ever I’m in Downtown London I always get food from here love this place.
This cuisine is located near Victoria Park on Richmond Street. I ordered the food named Waziri a combination of ground beef and chicken with rice/fries. Food was tasty and heavy for a normal person.
The worst Waziri kebob I have ever had in my life. Tasteless food which was including dry overcooked meat, pile of rice, small amount of lettuce and chopped cucumber. The presentation was also very bad in a cheap takeout box. Not recommended!
The portion was good for the amount we paid for (~14/each). We ordered the sultani and the kofta kebab. Both orders were very filling and delicious. The meat was a bit dry but the flavour was tasty. The rice was moist and flavourful. I think they sprinkled some sumac over the meat and rice. The naan was different from what we expected and it tasted like a nice toasty slide of bread. On the side there was a light (and what seemed like a yoghurt?) dressing that tasted like ranch and another sauce that was sweet, sour, acidic and a little spicy. The cashier was nice and the order came quickly (~5mins)
Liars.false advertising. On their online menu the price is 16.99 for Double Chicken. However, when you go in the restaurant they say that the menu online is incorrect. I don't trust them anymore. Owner confronted me, says it's a mistake.if it's a mistake fix it, own it and honor it!
I’ve had better from a bust up cart by a subway. The staff here are racist especially toward people of Pakistan. Two servers even screamed this out loud. Honestly horrible
They have the worse customer service. Every time I order something, they don't give me what I asked for. Very very expensive for so little food. Would never ever order again
I went there for the first time, didn't know much about the place and the things they offer but, Yusuf helped me a lot with the menu, his service was also great and food was very delicious. Will visit again.
Ya i really loved their wraps but today it was like the most terrible thing to order i called them they told me that they increased their rates so I thought y not their wraps r delicious but i think higher the price and lower the thing is what that in their mind awful iil not going to order that again or recommend them really disappointed less chicken in the wrap & the bread is terrible. Really very disappointed….
I bought some food and the guy out there keep touching food with his hands ; i ask why don't you wear gloves and he said he wash his hand, And start arguing; since yesterday I'm having bad stomach pain. I can't forget that man keep touching meat ; salad and bread with his hand without wearing gloves, It was my last meal with them. Unhygienic food and rude staff.staff need go to school to learn manners
It was highly disappointing that what we received after reading the description on Uber was Day-Night. It's unnecessarily expensive in this case, I've never been so sad.
The women working there wasn't very pleasant, made me feel super uncomfortable, almost like I was a homeless person or something, (which I am not), I suggest taking a class in customer relations or something, because stereotyping isn't good for business it actually hurts it.
I dined at Bamyan restaurant for the first time and had a great and filling meal. I ordered the okra with naan dish and it was delightful. The portion sizes are very generous. The food is made with fresh ingredients. The restaurant is cozy and clean. The pieces of art in the restaurant are beautiful.
Terrible customer service.the owner is rude and doesn't know how to talk without temper which shows how the business is run. During COVID times you would think they would treat customers nice but clearly they don't care. Owner should try anger management classes.
Very disappointed with this restaurant. I am 10 kms away and ready to drive to them for pick up, but they don't have even a minute to understand what I am trying to order. Guy simply says busy and hangs up. Terrible customer service. If customers need to support local restaurants, they should also show some respect.
Yammy yammy food. Masha Allah very great people and great food.and they opened another location which I would like to visited soon. Brother Naqeeb and brother noorullah. Thank you keep up the great service. Love you guys
I always ordered on skip but when i went in for the 2nd time and the person who introduced himself as the owner was very very very very very rude, he did not even have the courtesy how to speak even decently to not just me but others as well He was discriminating between customers as to some he was okay and that made me feel just because i was an Indian he was treating me like that The 2 other boys in the store who were also Indians would agree with me Did not use gloves in these COVID times So people be aware when you order food on skip God knows how he makes them when we aren’t even watching.
We were driving from Toronto to London after this long weekend when we decided to eat at Bamiyan this location just because this is an authentic food place in Toronto. Places order for 5 dishes. The food was not fresh at all. Chops were like rubber and we had to garbage them. Kababs and rice were old. Only naan were eatable. I am not even talking about the taste coz the major issue was our health During this Covid times after eating their garbage food. We all got stomachache. Either they are not the true branch of this brand or due to lack of business these days, they are serving old food. Please be careful When you eat there.
Absolutely loved the food last night. Everything was made fresh right in front of my eyes including the chicken skewers & the beef koftka. The spices used on the chicken was exactly what we were looking for. Very friendly service as well from the staff.
Great tasting and really flavorful food. They have become my go to for a quick Sunday lunch. The chicken tandoori is always very tasty and portions are also really good. The delivery times on skipthedishes or ubereats is always good aswell. They are located in the downtown core so I prefer delivery as parking can be a hassle.
I Always found this place to be with Lovely service lovely staff lovely food BUT OUR EXPERIENCE THIS TIME WAS RIDICULOUS. THE PERSON WHO I THINK IS THE OWNER (BY HIS ATTITUDE) ASSUMED THAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HIM AND HE REFUSED TO SERVE A LOYAL CUSTOMER AS WELL AS ASKED US TO GET OUT OF HIS BUSINESS USING FOUL LANGUANGE. IF HE IS THE OWNER I FEEL PITY ON HIS BUSINESS. RUDE AS HELL. THREATNING AND PASSING IRRELEVANT COMMENTS TOWARDS SOMEONES RACE. HAD TO CHANGE MY RATING FROM 5 STAR TO 1.
Very good food. I had to meet someone for a business lunch in London. Only regret is there in the downtown core. A second location close to 401 would be great!
Ordered dinner tonight and it was excellent! Hubby and I totally enjoyed our dinner. Portion size was great. We will definitely be ordering again! Loved it!
Really awesome nice guys run this place. They put a lot of care into the food preperation. The flavour of the kebabs is exceptional, by far the best ive tried.
Pathetic service. I ordered double chicken platter. It includes 1 naan, 2 skewers chicken tikka, rice and salad. The naan was too hard and i told the staff to please replace it. But on my repeated request, he refused to do so. I literally threw that naan right there. What kind of service you provide to people. If you cannot provide a better service, then shut it down. That was my first and last visit to this restaurant. I almost paid $20 for that meal. But that was not worth a $10 meal. It's better if you try tahinis right other side of the road. Its way too better than this. This is a honest review. So please make sure you choose wisely.
Serving size was pretty good. Food tasted just okay. It was pretty bland and all the meat items were quite dry. Naans were almost burnt and quite hard. Customer service was really great and staff present was really friendly and amazing. It is a small place so it can get quite hot in there. Seems like the AC wasn't working.
Amazing restaurant to taste real authentic afghan dishes in the right way. This place is serving the best tasty Mantoo that i have ever had in years out side my own kitchen.definitely they are not sabotaging with ur trust of having delicious and tasty real deal food. I have been there few times n each time I received a good fast service. Food is delicious, place is clean n their service is quick n fast. Will recommend this tasty spot to every meat lover and tasty food lover.
Bamyan has exceptionally delicious kababs one must try! The one I loved the most is Waziri! It was really good and well prepared by the cooks! The most amazing thing about bamyan is that they have choices for vegetarians as well! ️
Ordered food and delivered by SkipTheDishes to my hotel room. Food came with no spoon, napkin or straw. Ordered pareni (desert). Can not eat without spoon. Please use common sense.
