Bapbo Korean Restaurant

Ordered army tteokbokki from here containing rice cakes, sausage, spam, fish cakes, glass noodles, etc. The portion size was so big and the food so good that I decided to reorder it…but this time the portion size was much less, the rice cakes too difficult to chew, barely any sauce or food like rice cakes, noodles, or meat in the bowl. I feel ripped off. Almost 30 dollars and maybe good for a meal and half for a single person. Won’t be ordering from here again.

First timer here - they have a $12 bulgogi lunch special and it's a lot of food. Great value and awesome taste!

Food is amazing! This is our go to place for the past two years. Food can take a little long to come when it’s busy, but other than that the service and atmosphere is awesome! Highly recommend

I went to this place and ordered veg kimchi stew this morning and they give pork instead (i don't eat pork) when my friend told the server she just said sorry took our food no one from the kitchen came to say anything they asked if we want replacement we said no we just paid the bill for other stuff and left. Very bad experience.

Great spot for Korean food! The place is quite small so if you're walking along Dundas, you might just miss it. Overall, the service was great, the food came out really fast and it was very delicious as well. The fried chicken was juicy on the inside and super crispy on the outside. I do recommend getting the ones with sauces on them since the original can be a bit dry when you bite into it. The side dishes were great as well. I would come back here again!

Amazing customer service. The order arrived quickly. They maintained the cleanliness of the area and the washroom is immaculate. Recommended.

LOVEE THIS PLACE. I ordered on Uber eats and got the Korean army stew and the beef bulgogi bibimbap. Both dishes tasted amazing however my only complaint is that they gave me the wrong sides but besides that I really recommend trying this place 10/10

I ordered the kamponggi chicken and it was really bad. From the first taste, it was obvious that it was refried and I could only taste the oil. The batter wasn't crispy and was actually really chewy. The chicken inside tasted really weird as well more like it was boiled. I am by no means a picky eater but I refused to eat this dish. The other bulgogi dish was passable. I asked them to consider not charging us for the chicken since it was awful but the manager refused. So here's an honest review of the food. I will add this to my list of Toronto places to never go back to. The waiter was empathetic but had to bow to the demands of the manager who didn't even have the decency to address our concerns in person.

Mediocre review. Food is expensive compared to Koreatown as its in the main downtown core probably with a higher demand. Not terrible but not blown away.

The kindness of the server was moderate. But the food was terrible. I ordered seafood pancake, but I couldn't see any seafood, and it was just a lump of flour. Tteokbokki was delicious, It was too expensive. Food is generally expensive. You have to improve the taste.

Placed an order online and was told the order would be ready at 6: 30. It is 7PM, I am still waiting there and the staff has no clue when the food will be available.

I highly recommend the pork bone soup. It’s the best I’ve had in the city. For $15, the portion is very big too.

Food was very filling. Would recommend the rose tteokbokki. Service was fast and staff were very friendly.

It's my first time eating at this Korean restaurant and wanted to experience a change. So I ordered the pork gyōza for starters and the Don katsu. I also ordered the bibimbap with mushrooms, vermicelli stew.
The gyōza was good so full marks for that. The Don katsu for one didn't have any seasoning and was bland which was masked by breading around it and the sweet sauce. A few shredded cabbage was piled on the plate with a dollop of thousand island sauce which looked like a mini haystack followed by a bowl of rice.
The bibimbap mushroom stew was alright as it had chunky slices of beef, scallions, topoki, mushrooms, in a small hot pot filled with the sweet soy soup based. Personally I found the beef to be ok as I had better and the soup base was like drinking a pot of diluted soya molasses. The consolation were the side dishes which was nice but small and didn't have much variety. Usually there would be at least 6 side dishes in any Korean food establishment.
Overall, a nice Korean restaurant and the staff are friendly.but the meat for the Don katsu needs more work as it lacks if any seasoning. The bibimbap stew needs the soup base to be slightly toned down so it is not so overpowering sweet.

Bimbimbap is trying too hard to be fancy and ends up just being boring and dull. Large slices of meat and veggies instead of nicely diced pieces like most places. Rice was brown not white, and was old/cold. A bunch of uncooked lettuce leaves as well. The bowl was very small as well, not very filling. Much better Bimbimbap's in the city for better prices as well.

Service was great and staff was super friendly! A lot of menu items weren't available but food was decent — would *highly* recommend the rose tteokbokki.bulgogi japchae has a very generous amount of bulgogi.

This place is interesting. We’ve been about 5 times and never been disappointed. The service is incredibly hit and miss… sometimes they bring the little apps, sometimes they don’t. Getting a water refill is like pulling teeth. If the service was a little better this would be a 5 star for sure. We’ll still go back, but man is it frustrating sometimes

Very nice staff, clean and spacious tables, reasonable priced, took 1 star for the taste, i got the kimchi stew and its a little sour, the side dishes are good

I recommend the food is super good the attention is good, they serve you super fast, The prices are not bad, if you pay cash you have a 10% discount

Place is small but nice. The food and presentation was good. I recommend their tteokbokki. I forgot the name but there was a tteokbokki without sauce and it was fried instead. It was sweet and crunchy!

We wanted to try something new and go nd this place DT Toronto by Eaton centre. I didn't know what I was eating but it was very good I had the beef bibimpap calamari and Squid Bokkeum plus the free vegetable dishes to start

The middle age waitress give the worst service ever. I try to ask for normal temperature coke politely because the weather was so cold. That’s just a normal request if you guys don’t have it just let me know. The middle aged lady waitress mumbled “she is such a different customer.why she asked for normal temperature coke” in Korean when she goes away. I was being nice all the time…Horrible experience. Never gonna go there ever again

We ordered the Bulbogi dinner which was supposed to be chicken on a creamy sauce but ended up getting Bulgogi Tteokbokki which was beef. When we pointed out their response was that the menu was wron and actually was beef. We kept the meal as we didn't want to go wasted.

Ordered a side of vegetarian dumplings and got the pork ones when we realized their response was to say it was "beyond meat".

Lied to us twice, never accepted their mistakes.

If there is a 0 star option. I would not give them 1 star. The pictures are all I wanna say. And no customer service at all. OMG. The rice seems to be from yesterday? And overcooked LA RIBs cost me 34.95 cad plus tax. Request them replace the beef but it seems they only remove a few pieces heavy overcooked ones and re-served the rest. Cuz freshly cooked one is supposed to be hot rather than be warm. Worst Korean restaurant I ever had in Canada.

If you're looking for a Korean restaurant this pretty much fits the bill. Nothing particularly notable here in my opinion aside from the service which is pretty decent. Not my favourite place but hits the spot when I get a craving.
