They have a decent variety of vegetarian Swaminarayan food and snacks. Prices are reasonable and service was good too.

Wish could give 0 stars, before the puffs and samosas used to be of outstanding quality, we went there after few months and the experience was worst. The puffs were so bad in taste and so small in size clearly noticeable. People are ok to pay more for good quality food, before they used to be out of stock for puffs and samosas but sure no one is buying them anymore that’s the reason it was fully stocked. I didn’t expect this at all. Threw away all the packets of puffs and samosa was inedible can’t even look at them so bad in taste so so bad. Also when we asked for veg pizza we were told the oven is full we cannot make it. Dude close the store then

Rude staff…average and very overpriced food!

We went in and asked whether one of the items would be spicy for our 6 and 4 year old. We were told by a very rude and abrupt man not to “keep asking” for mild food and what would we do if we went to india? And how we had to teach our children the right upbringing about food. This was highly rude, arrogant and inappropriate. Its no body’s business how our kids are raised! He needs to be taught some serious manners. This isn’t what their so called “swami” teaches them. We only asked about one dish being mild.

The counter staff are rude and dont talk or greet. We eventually opted for the Khichri, Masala Chaas and Dabeli. All of which were tasty but the Khichri was spicy and the Masala Chaas even spicier for adults.

We would not recommend this place simply because of the attitude of the people in here. I notice across the world with a lot of the BAPS movement followers that their arrogance is not really a reflection of how they are taught to behave with society. A thumbs down from us. Avoid at all costs really unless you want to be told off and spoken to rudely.

Lots of options available for Indian Gujarati snacks and sweets. Mohanthal and Shrikhand are one of the best items in taste. Made with pure ghee and blessings.
07 May 2023 10:45
Awesome place for tasty Gujarati snacks like Samosas, Lilva Kachoris, Dabeli, Fafda and many more. They also have Indian sweets. Must try!

Some of items are bit overpriced.
Range of flavors and varieties available
23 February 2023 9:37
Perfect place to find authentic gujarati sweets. Also some of the snacks like lilva kachori, khandavi were really good. I was a big fan of their puff as well, but now they are making them really small in size. Overall loved the quality they serve.

Hands down the cleanest, tastiest, best quality food made with love and devotion. Nowhere else will you find wholesome food prepared for the Gods, being made available to satiate your human hunger. Vegetarians will love the simple hearty Gujarathi good that this place offers. Simple yes, totally worth every $. Will be here again each time I am in Toronto / Etobicoke. Tumtum dhokla, Khandvi, Handvo, Dal Khaman, Lilva Kachori, Veg Puff, Samosa and all kinds of sweets for every occassion. Yummy is not the word!:)

Good for snacks. Little on the spicy side and it is expensive. They do have veg thalis in the weekend too.
13 October 2022 8:52
When it comes to traditional Indian sweets, dry snacks, ready to eat veggies, this is one of the top picks out there.
All items are always fresh, from the samosas to the paneer mutter.
The snacks are the best feature here, as you can get a hold onto to some very traditional Indian food items. They are delicious and will definitely remind you of home.
They also offer range of sweets, which are delicious too, although I haven't tried all of them. Our go to place for shrikhand in particular, which is a must try.
10 October 2022 17:58
Great place for indian sweets & snacks. Also offering fresh hot snacks, Gujarati thali & many more.
05 September 2022 12:59
Great variety of Indian snacks, all purely vegetarian and good quality. We had Samosa, puff, cheese pizza and carrot cup cakes. All were tasty and well made.

However, we ordered Swami Narayana Khichadi and it was stale and smelled when we opened the box just after 15 min of buying. I got scared as I took it for my kid. Thankfully I could smell it instantly.

The best part is, you get honey-mustard sauce, Italian dressing and thousand island spread— ALL WITHOUT EGG, that’s awesome.
We also purchased pickle and other dry snacks.

Bought Khandvi and Dabeli here. Dabeli was decent but Khandvi was rubbery and tasteless.

Place was neat and there were quite a few interesting Gujarati eatables available.

We were at the shop at noon on a Saturday. Although the Thali was supposed to be ready at noon, it wasn't available. We were told that it would take at least half an hour to be available. Basically, if you are one of those like me who planned for the Thali, make sure that you go by 12: 30 pm and not earlier.

We ordered catering for 50 people for Grahshanti puja and for 100 people for wedding. Both the quality and quantity were excellent. The food taste was exceptionally good for Gujarati wedding and events.

There was an old tilak chandlo guy who was cha se jyada kitli garam kind of guy. The only reaaon we went there was because of a satsangi family who didnt eat onion garlic. It was crazy windy outside so us and our kids ate our vada pav inside standing in the little hallway. That old khusad doso comes in and asks us if we took permission to eat in there. I was not in the mood to be rude like him so i didnt argue, but he should have realized there was no sign that said no food consumption allowed in the store. If there is no sign we are not god that we will realize that we need to ask for permission. And if we were wrong there is a way to communicate politely like teachings of swaminarayan bhagwan. I am sure any swami would agree with me that he should have approached and polotely said that we are not to consume this food here and we would have left. Instead he comes and says did you ask permission.

So bottom line guys great indian restaurant options in the vicinity and bigger bang for your buck kind of sweet shops in the area. So take your business some where else. I sure will because of that old kbusad budhho.
18 April 2022 21:21

One of the best place to have gujarati snacks or u can say india flavour test in canada. They have gujarati snacks like fafda, jalebi, samosa and also they have all type of farshan like fulvadi, gathiya, sakar para and many more. 15 January 2022 14:17
Very authentic homely snacks. Samosas we're exceptional. Hot and crispy. It is a must have. Few items are a bit overpriced but probably it's worth the taste. Dry kachori, balarwadi, muruku are few of the must haves.
10 January 2022 21:52
Quality of food is great. But downside is 2020 until, used to get 450 gm sweets now selling in 350 gms pack. Means reduce quantity and bump up the price.

While you have good quality of food. Dont reduce the quantity. Price the right amount but for right quantity.
28 December 2021 4:24
Very nice authentic snacks at well price. Must see the hot food section. Spicy samosa is highly recommended.

Shayona foods is the best Caterers in town for Gujrathi food.
We catered food from here for our puja without onions & garlic and the food was so delicious.
We also ordered 4 sweets, out of which one was Shrikhand which was scrumptious!
We had ghee sweets like Mysore park, Jalebis & Hirasali… they were so flavourful that everyone just couldn’t stop praising the food.
Their puris were so soft, Undhiyo - one of the best I had & not to forget their Fryums & Gujarathi Dal too.
Awesome & Amazing food!

This shop is a little jewel in the heart of Etobicoke. You may not be able to walk into the shop during certain pandemic restrictions but when you do, be prepared to be amazed at the WONDERFUL selection of eats which are available for you to purchase. Most of these eats are freshly-made by holy men of the temple and that says something for the quality. From daily 'Thali' specials to drinks, cookies and yummy pickles, you will find a vast selection to please every taste bud. And here's the best news: everything is priced at very reasonable costs. My favs which I usually pick up every visit are the samosas, the Papdi Masala and Mohanthal and Magas sweets, which are to die for. Yum yum. I'm getting hungry for Baps Shayona again!

It is now open for in-store shopping. Social distancing is maintained and if you want you can place order online and pick up at store. My favourite is their new line of take out “subji”!
06 June 2021 19:28

04 April 2021 3:28
Methai was very good, I got the kaju katri and peda kisar which were very good. I also got ghughra, which was ok. Service was extremely poor, the older gentleman at the window was very rude. He just stared at me when I said hello and then after a long pause asked me what I wanted. Eventually, he handed me a menu and shut the window immediately after. When I figured out what I wanted, I asked which shrikrand is good (there were multiple), he very rudely said "you are the one ordering, not me. " After I finished ordering, he just stared at me again, then after a few seconds rudely said "pay". He did not tell me my total or move the machine closer to the window, I had to reach far into the window to tap. Thinking that maybe he just does not speak english well enough, I was speaking in gujarati but he was still rude. This is incredibly unacceptable service.
22 March 2021 16:16

Convenient when need to grab a quick bite while in neighbourhood investigating people and monitoring movements of others.
27 November 2019 12:05
Visited the mandir on new year's Day. Very busy! Was very well organized and set up. They had an easy to follow path that took us through from the shoe racks to the mandir to the stalls and food. They organized it very well and the line was recently fast moving. Wish we had some more time to stand and pray at each idol however to keep the line moving we had to keep walking.
16 October 2019 3:43
Amazing food at reasonable price. Plus it's pure vegetarian. Everything here is ran by a charity. Worth a try
12 January 2019 22:27
