Sad part is that the place is open for only few months. The best icecream - texture wise- you can have. The flavour are lil eccentric. Choose the days u want to visit

Every year i wait for the ginger molasses and every year i am so delighted and impressed that it never disappoints.gelato!

First visited on Sunday October 1st, their last day before closing for 2023. Looong line up but so worth it Had a pistachio bar! Absolutely delicious Very creamy! Visitors need to bring cash $$$

I literally go here at least 2-3 per week of the 4 days they're open. Highly recommend their mango, hojicha and guava soft serve flavours when they're available. I also recommend going right when they open. There's typically a long line up the street at 7pm onwards (for days that they open at 5pm).

Got around to finally checking this spot after hearing all the hype, and while it was definitely a good, quality, product, it failed to meet my expectation- have definitely had better gelato in the city.maybe not as trendy and cool, but definitely better. I'd go again to check out some of their other products, but not out of my way or lining up.

Great Gelato, would be good if they had two sets of takeout people so it would go faster, but it's a small operation. Just be prepared for a long wait

These guys are badasses.building a loyal following by doing something unique is not an easy feat, and I’m happy to give them my money week after week through the summer months.thanks for being something to look forward to, and enjoy your time off this winter!

Smooth soft serve with flavourful toppings. The sour cherry was paticularly good. Serving size a tad on the small size. Cash only.

Nice flavours. I wish some were a little more adventurous, or that the really fun-sounding ones were vegan friendly.

Tried the niagara grape/hazlenut they currently have and loved it! Gelato is so smooth and not too sweet, it's cash only! There was a line but it moved quick!

Not your typical ice-cream shop. I really like the single-size cups for everything and the minimalistic concept - the actual Gelato options are only in pints. Otherwise, there are 3 soft-serve options, vanilla sundea with 5-6 syrup options and everything else is bars.
The bar I tried (pistachio) was excellent, the soft serve was way too sweep. The sundea's vanilla ice cream was great, but the spir-cheries topping was way too sweet. I'll definitely go back to try other bars and maybe take home some gelato in a pint.

After trying for third time, I only loved the Saffron bar. Amazing taste with glass like coating like delicate paper. Really artistic.

I discovered this spot way too late this summer. I have lived close to this spot but I am more of an ice cream than a gelato person and my wife is vice versa. My first bite of their pistachio gelato bar was magical and you can see that I forgot to take a picture and almost finished it. So far, we have tried a few of their featured items, soft serve and a pint! We got the blueberry pint and so far it is really tasty, it is like the perfect blueberry if you could ever have one. The bars are all made well, the coating of chocolate or the flavour shell around it, is just amazing. And soft serve is probably the smoothest I have had in Toronto. It has the almost perfect mouth feel as there are almost no ice crystals in their soft serves. It is truly a great spot. Lines are long but short waiting times. Sad it will be closing for the season soon, but will return when they re-open.

Normally my ice cream/gelato/soft serve reviews clearly state: go to Mizzica instead.

THIS TIME, Bar Ape nailed it with their soft serve (tried cookies & cream, and hazelnut). Perfect, smooth texture and packed with flavour.

Only complaint? Cookies and cream didn't have visible cookie crumbs/cookie texture. Still great though (amazed that they achieved that flavour).

1 more weekend until they're closed for the season. Check them out!

Cash only! Fresh, delicious, creative flavors. A Toronto summer must-visit. I haven't tried the bars yet, but they are next on the list to try!

The best gelato we've ever had. Soft serve. Incredibly intense flavours. The grape.omg. Highly recommend.

I’ve always passed here with my family and would laugh and say why are people lining up for ice cream? ! So we stopped and tried it one day. Now we are lining up for ice cream because it’s definitely worth it!

Small hole in the wall place, pretty popular but the line moves fast. Always fun to see what weekly flavours they have! Their gelato was delicious and refreshing.

Gelato is not soft serve. I like soft serve once in a while, but don't put a label on your product saying otherwise. It's false advertising. I'm not going to make a beef patty and call it a hamburger.
