Amazing! Thank you for having us at your Halloween event. Half of my group got denied entry to Club Lux so we went here. Extremely nice staff, clean washrooms and friendly atmosphere. Cheap drinks too! Stayed under budget the entire night it was nice to be able to afford to tip well.

If as a girl you wanna be assaulted by guys it's the best place ever.
The club is full of weird men and the security doesn't seem to care. The music could be better.

One of the worst bars in Toronto. To attract customers they put out a sign saying free cover all night and then security charges you and pockets the money. False advertisement. Stay away

Wouldn’t recommend this spot, uncomfortable vibe, insanely loud and muffled music, bouncers pick and choose who they’re taking money from at the door, staff are put off by simple asks. This place is in dire need of a revamp.

The bar is nice and everything, my only problem is with this bartender, a guy in a pony tail and a big hipster beard. I have never met someone so rude like this, I was asking him about this drink the seltzer and its price, and he just responded very arrogantly and rudely saying I don't know, and he started asking me in an aggressive way if i wanted this drink. And then I asked him how are you doing, to which he answered very rudely and aggressively saying " I prefer if you don't ask me how am i doing"!

Everyone in the bar last night from the customers where saying that this man is very rude, needless to say I told him I am not gonna take this drink.

This bartender has serious issues and he needs to have control of his behavior, its a massive attitude problem.

Terrible and unsafe.

Went for New Years Eve, which was supposed to be a ticketed event. Purchased 6 tickets on club crawlers before and got to the club around 11. Line was on wrongside and wasted 20 minutes after they made everyone shift to the other side. Bought tickets thinking that it would be better than a place which was open access and could get crowded. But in line they were letting mostly everyone in (with and without tickets) and the place was filled to the point that you couldn't move freely upstairs. People were packed so tightly that it was definitely a fire/stampede risk environment and certain men took advantage of the zero personal space situation (grabbing and touching my female friends and I inappropriately). Coat check was full so we had to carry our jackets and we wasted time after midnight waiting for drinks downstairs that we never got because they ran out of glasses. Bought two shots of rum at the other bar upstairs for $15 and left asap when it reached the most crowded that you couldn't even dance or breathe.

Overall, it was a horrible first experience at bar 244 and hated the hour we spent there. They were still letting people in as we left. Extremely unsafe environment and do not recommend women to go here, especially for NYE.

Drinks are overpriced (I suspect they add tip into the price). I don't think that's legal. Was told bartender holds employee tips. Owner very rude. Dirty environment. Definitely underage drinking going on.

Smells nice. If you like febreezed over terminal patient diapers

Music not really attractive, we asked for bottle service than took long to be served despite the place been almost empty, the only staff smiling and attentive was the security manager at the door and girl at the coat rack, the guy from the bar than got us the bottle drop the bill an hr after we sat because than "the system" doesn't allow him to keep it open, so we went somewhere else to buy the next bottles.

Drinks not even that cheap.worst dj ever - playing constant jamaican songs.overselling tickets and creating a dangerous environment.one loud muffled speaker upstairs and thats it.really need to renovate the place.

This is a local watering hole with a dance club downstairs. Upstairs there is no cover with music. Good service at the bar.

Zero star for DJ. Very rude and refused to play songs. Seriously they need to change DJ. Not forget to mention we were charged $10 cover which is not usual.

I had a fantastic Night Dancing The Night Away. I believe there was some sort of show that night. But the drinks are fabulous the ones I remember lol haven't been down to Toronto in a while but I'm still glad to see that people of my city are non-judgemental and absolutely fabulous. I had an awesome time thanks. Highly recommended

Don't bother. We tried to come here when the bars nearby had closed and when we approached the door the bouncer shoved me out of the way and was incredibly rude. There was a fight going on that we had nothing to do with and we heard him using slurs to refer to other people as well. Perhaps I was saved from a terrible bar experience as well but those bouncers are toxic masculinity at its worst - especially "Chris". I definitely would not feel safe leaving my girlfriend in their care, as they did not seem to want to protect any of the patrons.

Came early and was on the guest list, everything worked smooth had fun and enjoyed the 3$ drinks

Only nice thing I can think of is $3 drinks and nice bartenders.
I'm not a club crawler, but the music downstairs was dreadful.
I'm surprised that it's 2019 and the DJ still goes off of 2010 music. Requesting music wont work either since he only had an offline playlist.

If I could give zero stars I would. This is a horrible bar that employs some of the rudest, most aggressive staff I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They definitely get a kick out of yelling at and man-handling drunk people. Will not be returning

Me and my friend went there in good faith, first drink tipped 25%, but then I went to pay for one beer with a 20 and they decided I paid with a 10 imediatly, when I argued she called over three bouncers to fight me, despite the fact I just wanted my money back and would have tipped on it, moral of the story, if your a reasonable human being who doesn't like being robbed don't come here

1. My friends got yelled at soon as we entered and were trying to pay cover ($10) by a sleazy, grayish long hair man on the left.

2. Downstairs it was so packed that we were by the door-frame we couldn't go anywhere else. This bald bouncer literally yelled at us and said we couldn't stand near the door but there was no where to go. On top of that I caught him drinking a beer while working. Lol.

3. Drinks were cheap. That's about the only good thing.

Absolute terrible. The bald security guy is aggressive and consistently power trips for no reason. The vibe also sucks. Hopefully this places goes under.

Pretty small area to dance, most people were talking in small groups and not really dancing at all. My bf stepped out of the club the first time to get my jacket from the car and the second time he stepped out to smoke a cig. The security would not let him in cause he was “clearly intoxicated” although he wasn’t. Bald security at the front door is incredibly rude, would not explain anything to me.

Went to this place while we were walking by. My friend and I didn’t have cash so we asked them if there was an ATM inside, they told us yes. When we got inside my friend was ahead of me and said she needed to take out money and they let her go up. When I walked up I tried to tell them my friend was taking out the money for me they told me I had to go outside or leave my ID with them to take out the money myself. As I was getting my ID out they started yelling at me to get out and I was grabbed by 3 different men and they pulled me out of the club. It was the worst club experience I have ever had and it was literally within the course of 2 minutes. I don’t know if it was an ego thing where these men need to feel tough roughing up a girl or a race thing. Either way, I won’t be returning there.

Complete joke. Bouncers are a collective group of power trippers that go out of their way on a nightly basis to flex what little authority they have. The fact they still work there really reflects poorly all the way up to upper management. This place is by far the worst in the city and it's a shame because staff can be replaced, but they seem to turn a blind eye.

All of these comments about the staff are accurate and I believe all of them. You could put these guys in charge of a kindergarten class and they would be punching children in the face for looking at them the wrong way. Avoid at all costs, there are plenty of better places around

We have gone here twice for a work function. Cheap drinks and a big dance floor aways fun. The reason I would not give 5 stars is for some of the staff. They were very rude and arrogant. One example is speaker stand beside dj both. The security guard was not there and a couple of young girls tripped over it. I slid it over a bit when another set of girls went by so they would not trip (it was in way of walkway). Security guard came back and glared at me for moving his stand. I said can you see kids tripping over it? Again just glare. Another example is front door. We were a large work group as I said and one person went to bank machine for few min. When they came back to join like staff stopped them. We explained they had gone to get everyone cash and the staff said he heard story before we were not special vip very rudely. Not necessary at all. Over use of power.

For $3 drinks it's a great deal!

We signed up for the guest list a few days in advance and got free cover if you go before 11pm. You can sign up for the guest list on their website and do so up until 8: 45 pm on the day of.

The bar area opens around 8 and the downstairs dance floor opens at 11pm.

Went on a Friday night and music was decent. Bartenders were also super friendly and washroom was decently clean. There's one near the bar area and another beside the DJ in the basement.

Had a blast and would definitely go again.

I am SO disappointed. I’m from Buffalo and my friends and I drove all the way to Toronto for my birthday. Over the summer we came here and loved it but on Friday night (12/14/18) we tried to go and the security guard was a complete jerk. He denied me and my friend saying that my friend was too drunk when she was completely sober! She was wearing heels so she was just struggling walking. Then our other friends got in so we tried again saying that we don’t want to split up with our friends. Our one girl friend met us outside to try to talk to them and the security guard grabbed her and pushed her out! Complete disappointment. I will NEVER go back. It’s not worth it.

Security kicked my boyfriend out for no reason, and were extremely aggressive when he wanted to go back inside to get his jacket. What a joke.

It's not a bad place, good music, a little hot just because of how small the place is. The only thing that sucked was the girl at coat check. She was possibly the rudest person I've ever encountered. Before putting my jacket in the coat check table I watched her give attitude to the customer that was before me, grabbing his jacket away from him and throwing it on the floor. I saw this happen and wasn't to happy but let it go. She greeted us very nicely and I handed her my coat. I didn't have anything smaller then $20 on me so my friend said she would pay for me. She was going through her purse when the coat check lady rudley said she wouldn't take anything under 25 cents (which I guess is understandable) but then she started to make fun of the fact that we were having trouble finding our change. She proceeded to make faces at the security guard because we were taking a while. I wasn't sure why she was acting the way she was acting when we had been nothing but nice to her. I get it if there would have been people behind us but there was nobody in line. After we gave her our $3 she grabbed my coat out of my hand and walked away. When that happened I was honestly astonished that someone could hire/keep such rude employees. It's literally a customer based industry. I get you cant make everybody happy but this is just so wrong, if your employees don't know how to handle people then they really shouldn't work there.

I was very surprised with this place. When we walked in we thought for sure it was gonna be lame and a bunch of weirdos there. We went the first night and it was fine and the drinks were cheap and it was an all around good time with no problems. The second night was New Years Eve. We bought our tickets an hour prior online so we expected it to be lame since they were still selling tickets so close to the doors opening. We did not wait in a line to get in which was a blessing because it was so cold. The place was pretty busy, but just the perfect amount, just right between too busy and not busy enough. The thing I loved most about this place is the customer service. When you check your coat they give you a ticket to retrieve it, which my girlfriend lost. Most other places would have told us to piss off and taken her coat, but the staff all the way from the coat check girl, to the bouncer, to the manager were all friendly and extremely helpful. The bartenders are also very friendly which is also pretty rare for a place like this.

The music is okay, the venue is decent, and the crowd is very young but the drinks are cheap and the staff is great for a club of this nature so 5/5 in my book.
