Been here a couple of times, always good. The ribs and brisket are great, Caesar salad very good too. Only downside were the fries. Seemed like they were from Cavendish Farms. Next time I'll try one of the other sides. The Charred Broccoli Salad looks interesting. Service really good, staff works as a team.

$50 take out brisket and a side. We were in the area for an art opening and after past visits to the neighbourhood I made the point of visiting. I also wanted to support the business. We tool a take out because it was late. Brisket had a nice balance of sweet and smoke, Mac and cheese abit dry but balanced flavours. The portions were adequate for one serving but the bill was around $50 basically overpriced for the amount of food, and anyone living in Toronto now. Service was great. Would I return -no because the value was not there for me to justify the price. I hope maybe they will do combos that maybe be better priced otherwise I do not see this business model sustaining- loss for neighbourhood.

Amazing smoked BBQ, with service with a smile by Barque's happy full-waged staff. Fully appreciated this restaurant in their amazing food, leadership, ownership and service! Great little BBQ place that's been around for awhile now. Amazing pulled pork, tender BBQ chicken and the sausages were a favorite. Spent my birthday here with family and the service was attentive. They pay a living wage to the staff, which is great. Prices are higher as a result. My only gripe was that the wine was $64 for a bottle that LCBO sells for $21,95. Extortionate!

Really great meal here on Monday. Kids eat free and our 16 month old loved the fries brisket and ice cream! Still dreaming about the Mac and Cheese and Ribs. Cornbread also amazing. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Fantastic cocktails, delicious food, attentive and efficient staff. This place was lovely! I went w some coworkers and we all really enjoyed everything we ordered. We ordered the platter for 4 and everything was perfect. The Mexican street corn was VERY good. All of us had the smokey margarita which was refreshing and smooth. Perfect for a warm day!

We ate here for the Ribfest, and also order a couple times a month when we cannot think of a decent dinner to cook at home. I enjoy the wings the most. I heard a rumour that Barque used to do breakfasts.please bring it back!

This is my first time ordering here and my sandwich arrived absolutely soaked and soggy! The meat resembled dog food and looked unappealing.

We were celebrating a birthday and I had enjoyed a meal here a couple of times. So we headed down to this barbecue heaven and running late but the wait staff acommated us with great aplomb we were not disappointed a small wait later and we were drinks ordered and ready to go. I had the full rack of Ribs with ceaser salad and Cuban corn with there signature sauce and a mug root beer.my friends wife had the pulled brisket sandwich with the crinkle cut fries every thing was fabulous they even gave me a thanks to for making it a memorable evening. You won't be sorry.

Great food. My husband and I sat on the patio and shared the brisket, small caesar salad, cuban corn, the onion burger and the pickle coleslaw. Everything was delicious and our server Altair was very friendly and provided great service. Definitely will be coming back here again!

Went there with my whole family and order the meat platter. I just have to say the food was much better than the picture. We will definitely be back

The barbeque is great I recommend the pulled pork and the ribs. For the sides their barbeque fries and coleslaw are a perfect match for the main dish.

Really impressed with everything from Barque. My partner and I ordered the Meet Meat Platter for 2. The meat standouts for me were the pulled pork and brisket. Both were really juicy, and not overly saucy. My partner loved the ribs. I prefer juicy ribs and less sauce, but they did taste good. The turkey was just okay. We ended up saving it for a sandwich later.

We also added the dill coleslaw, the mac and cheese and the fries. The fries had an amazing sweet spice, plus they're crinkle cut, so yum. The mac and cheese was SOOOO good. Mac and cheese at BBQ joints is always good, but this one stood out for sure. The dill coleslaw was incredibly too. Not heavy on the cream, and a ton of flavour.

A little on the pricier side, but well worth all of the delicious layers of flavour, and you certainly won't go hungry.

My review begins before I even placed my order for tonight (NYE). I missed yesterday's cut-off to pre-order by a few hours, but when I emailed Barque's, Casey was so accommodating and I was able to place my order for tonight. For our family of two adults, two teens and one pre-teen we ordered (with lots of leftovers) : 2lbs brisket, 1lb pulled lamb, one dozen chicken wings, with dry rub, a Caesar salad, a dill pickle slaw and a Carolina corn pudding. Barque's does pre-order right. My order was ready on-time for pick-up, with easy instructions for reheating (and few pots/pans to wash). The brisket was packaged into two separate bags, which I liked because one bag had thinner sliced meat. While the smokiness of the brisket might have been a tad less than other BBQ joints, I preferred it. My younger one, who I thought would only eat the Caesar, absolutely loved the dry-rub wings. The dill in the slaw is just enough, and I like the combo of traditional with more unique and untraditional menu items. The only dish that received mixed reviews in my family was the pulled lamb, not for the texture, which was awesome, but for the seasoning. I would definitely recommend Barque's for 2021 and beyond!

The ribs and wings were on point. Really good. I usually like saucy ribs but dry was so good. Staff was always checking in and friendly. I would definitely go back and recommend this spot.

One of the best barbecue joints in the city. Go for the platter if you've got 4 or more people. Otherwise, the ribs and brisket are always good picks. Service is also spot on - friendly and attentive.

Was excited to try this please since I have always heard good things about it. Tried one time a year ago for brunch but the wait time was ridiculous. Gave it a go again today. Had to wait 20 mins so not too bad. If you don't want to wait I suggesting making reservations.

Anyway, the place was nice, comfy and clean. Although busy, wait staff were friendly and service was quick, but the place gave me a bit of a "snooty" vibe.

First off when ordering our lunch/brunch, I wanted their burger option.no luck they were out. Out of burgers before 1 PM? Oh well.had my second choice instead.

There was nothing wrong with the food or the place other than maybe a tiny bit pricey. I was a little disappointed.maybe because of it being overly hyped. I may go again.but would not put it on my lists of must revisit.

Best burger in Toronto. The location on Roncesvalles, so close to High Park, is wonderful too. The service and prices are all great, but it's that delicious food that will get you in the door and keep you there. I love the burgers they serve at lunchtime, but at dinner, I usually go with a group and get the meat platter. It's the best option - because you get everything!

Meat lovers, this is the perfect place for you! We've visited this restaurant numerous times and have never been disappointed. It's not the cheapest restaurant but you can taste the quality and attention to detail. On this occasion we ordered the mac and cheese and fries on the side, as well as their ribs. This is meant for two people but the portion was quite generous so we took about half to go.

As a vegetarian, I struggled to find food that I could eat, however, almost all of their food was gluten-free.
Personally, I found the taste of anchovy to be too strong in their Cesar salad dressing, though the salad was good otherwise (amazing croutons!). It was pretty loud and hard to hear our own conversations.
I was told that their chicken wings were very good. Their beef brisket was rather dry, but the bbq sauce was good.
Overall, I’d say that the food was alright, but definitely overpriced.

Not the greatest BBQ in the world (go to Texas). But the best I have had in Toronto. The brunch menu is fantastic. I can't even describe the pancakes. Drooling just thinking about them.

First off. The service here is excellent. Went here for lunch today and the gentleman servicing us was very knowledgeable, helpful and tentative. Everything you want in a server. I would have taken points away because I thought the wings were a little under cooked and for a pound of wings it didn't seem like enough but our server brought over some more wings on the house which made up for it. We had the sampler platter which was great. But the star of the show was the ribs. Next time I am ordering a full rack. The space is very nice and the seats are comfortable.

Ordered the share plater, which was enough for 3 adults. The dusted chicken wings are juicy and moist. The brisket, ribs and BBQ chicken was delicious. Always worried that chicken from a BBQ joint will be dry but that's not the case here. This BBQ chicken was juicy. Thank you for the recommendation, Hanna.

Wss put on a waiting list because this place is really busy on a Sunday at around 7: 30pm but the hostess Roberta called us when seating was available.

Amazing Food. Friendly service. Fantastic Meat and BBQ sauce. Service was quick.portions were huge and we took home quite a bit of food. Ordered the beef brisket and the pulled lamb both were delicious.

Great food, great service. Two of us odered the sampler 1 app, 3 meats, 2 sides for $60. That's great value for great food in Toronto. We couldn't finish. We had the Korean natchos to start - so good with the crispy wanton, sticky pork and chunks of pinapple. Ribs were wonderful, so was the pork shoulder which was the special. Even the asparagus was the best I've had anywhere. I love the small touches like delicious seasoned popcorn waiting on the tables and free sparkling water. Such a great dining experience.

Always astounded by the food every time I have come here. Usually go for the Smokers Choice (40 bucks/person may seem steep, but it is WORTH IT) and never regret it - in fact the couple times I order a la carte, I wish I ordered the Smokers Choice! Friendly staff and quick service.

Ordered delivery, I really wanted to like it, because it's super close to my house. I found it was just alright. Mac and cheese was decent but not amazing, wings were fairly tasty, the brisket for me was unfortunately the part I enjoyed the least. It wasn't very tender and the fat wasn't soft, it seemed like the cooking temp was either too low or not long enough. It also didn't have much of a smoke flavour to it.

We ordered the sampler for 2 (had a 3 and a 1 year old with us). The food was amazing and really generous portion. The staff were great with my young kids (gave them a colouring book with crayons and a playdough container which kept them busy). We visited on a Monday and it was quiet with a few families with young children, a few singles and groups (different sizes). Def one of the best bbq in town

Had brunch here recently.the fried eggs with BBQ pork and smoked bacon were excellent and a great value! Highly recommend if you're in the Roncey neighbourhood. Have had dinner here as well and it was also great. Whatever the meal, it'll be excellent and you'll definitely be full!

If you like meat this is a good mid priced restaurant. There is unique flavor which I wasnt a fan of, yet i can see why people are drawn to this rustic dining experience.

The most flavourful ribs I’ve had in a long tHowever, the “three potato salad” left something to be desired: some of the segments were undercooked and IMPO, The flavour (a smoked, chipotle-like seasoning) didn’t provide the right contrast with the smoked meat; the flavours, rather than being complementary, melded together to create a lacklustre experience on the palate (unfortunately).
I will continue to come back god the ribs though:)

One of those places that i am puzzled by the high rating. Does not deserve anything over 3 stars. We had the platter for 2. Bbq is not that good and definitely not authentic. The bbq meats generally had no flavour and was not well made. Brisket was dry and pulled pork was shredded into mush with too much sauce. Ribs were dry and had no flavour and was just smoky. The Bbq chicken was the best but nothing to rave about.

Wonderful restaurant. Everything was phenomenal so i dont think there is a bad choice on the menu. The green beans are not to be missed!

Super delicious for bbq meals. Today I had come here for the first time. Reservations are a good idea! Prices are good for ribs and everything else.the baby back ribs 1/2 rack, were finger lickin’ good. I had the barque o’bama or something like that! Its ketchup based marinade that is actually super delicious! $18 plus side of potato salad which was really simple but Good, really enjoyed the crispy potato on it! So good! And the parsley! Basically everything was delicious - their fries taste like ringlos but not processed! Its good! Try it out for a date night or honouring parents! Great idea! O

Great food! But I can honestly say, me and my friends go there to look at the good looking salad maker. We’ve been there 4 times to see him, but the food is delicious. I assume he makes it all, aha. Never get rid of him. He’s your bread, butter and meat!

Last Saturday was my first time here and I definitely loved the ambiance and the friendliness when I had walked in. My fiancé and I didn’t have any reservations as we were recommended to come here by a friend so we just decided to check the place out. This isn’t our first time for bbq as we are accustomed to southern bbq as one of us is American and we have a lot of family in the south. We were served by a girl named Thalia. She was kind and I would’ve given this place a 5 star but we had a lack of customer service during our time there. We kind of felt uncomfortable at the fact that the entire time we were there she only checked on us once to see how the food was and ignored our table but kept consistently going to other tables. I counted as she walked by about 7 times to look at our table, but never asked us if we wanted our food packed after we waited 25 minutes for someone to come to us after we were finished with our food. Finally the manager Martina asked if we were okay and I told her that we just wanted our food packed and we asked for a dessert menu. It took a while to even get our dessert and Martina is the one who took our dessert order. I was highly unimpressed, as Thalia looked at us and our table several times, but kept servicing the three tables in front of us. No one asked if we wanted another drink, or to pack our food. We ordered quite a bit of food as well, and the food was good which is why I rated it a 3. We are not the type of people to ever feel or bring this up but I felt like they only catered to the Caucasian customers of the restaurant. My fiancé agreed he felt the same way and we have NEVER felt that way before, travelling anywhere in the world. Even with the lack of service we still tipped her 15 percent. It disappoints me that I had to feel that way dining in my own country. I would never come back for this reason, and I wouldn’t recommend any of my family or friends to this place due to the lack of service. I think It would’ve been better sitting at the bar.
