Both my kids have been to Dr. Tan. Great customer service. Kids always comfortable when they go for apts.good reminders. Proactive about issues they arise.

The staff are always so friendly, patient, and professional. Dr. Jennifer Tan did an amazing job correcting my teeth with clear aligners. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful smile!

From the first moment I visited the office of Barrhaven Orthodontics & Periodontics, I felt I was in good hands. Dr. Tan was friendly, knowledgeable and informative; a true professional who sets the tone for the office in terms of respect and work ethic. She is very calm despite all the demands on her attention and welcomes input from the hygienists who in turn learn from her. It is just great teamwork!

Kim, my primary orthodontic hygienist, always knew exactly what was next in my treatment and was diligent in ensuring I was comfortable. Kim is such a kind, compassionate person and she was patient and encouraging throughout my visits.

Kathy taught me how to care for my braces and was always a friendly voice and face whether in person or on the phone.

Although I spent most of my visit sitting in a chair, everyone I met en route to that chair made me feel welcome. The appointment reminders via email were helpful and I liked the check in process via text message.

Of course I went to this office to correct my bite and straighten my teeth and I am very happy with the outcome of the treatment.

Some of my treatment plan involves collaboration with other dental specialists. They communicate efficiently with each other so that the entire (still ongoing) process is seamless.

I only wish I would have known about Barrhaven Orthodontics & Periodontics years ago and would recommend this practice to anyone who needs orthodontic work done.

My son went to Dr. Tan when he was 10 years to treat over crowded lower teeth. He was on brace for a couple of years. Then his upper teeth started to shift while he still had the lower brace on. We asked if it's possible to treat both at the same time, but was told no. Then we had to pay another consultation fee to get advice even though he was already her client. During the visit, her assistant Cathy was acting as a dentist, simply told us that he needs Invisalign for both upper and lower teeth which would cost more than $6600, but they couldn't guaranteed the result. Dr. Tan came in for about 5 minutes even without direct eye contact with me. Later I was trying to ask the difference between brace and Invisalign. Dr. Tan didn't even talk to me, only told her admin that it would cost even more. I was so confused and frustrated. I brought him to four other orthodontists for second opinions and two of them were free of charge. They all took time and explained clearly, and gave us very professional advice. He ended up with just brace on upper teeth with great result and much cheaper price. I would never recommend Dr. Tan to anyone.

Dental surgery is is a trying experience for most individuals and I’m certainly no exception.

My visits to Barrhaven Orthodontics & Periodontics, specifically to Dr. Martin Lin, spanned several months while I underwent the placement of an implant. During this time, I was certainly impressed by all the aspects of the operation of this clinic!

Mr. Lin and his entire staff exhibited an exemplary professional attitude while we were all enduring the restrictions of Covid, but I’m sure there were smiles behind those masks on each of my visits. Dr. Lin was reassuring and easily responded to my questions regarding implant size and complications of the procedure. At the final visit, I was given the opportunity to view the X-ray image of the final results and see the completion of a successful implant process.

I’m more than happy with this entire experience, sure, there was some discomfort, which was expected, but that’s long forgotten now.

DR. Lin was friendly and genuine and took the time to give me a thorough consultation, answered all my questions and was happy to provide as much information as I needed to feel comfortable moving forward with the procedure I needed.
All of the support staff were equally as friendly, efficient and professional.

Dr lin was amazing. He offered some great advices to my mum.not very impressed was told at last the ontario seniors dental care plan was not accepted.

This is such a well run office! The gals that work at the front office are incredibly responsive, friendly and helpful! Brianna and Dr. Lin are kind, informative, gentle and professional; they took excellent care of me during my examination and we have a care plan set out that I am very comfortable with. I have been to this office before for dental implants and Dr Lin and all associates took wonderful care of me then as well. I highly recommend this Periodontics office!

My first visit with Dr. Tan was great. I was allowed in the consultation with my 8 yr old. We had to postpone the appointment due to Covid. With the offices now are re-open I had called in and scheduled a following appointment for my child. When I had arrived I was told the my child (8yrs old) had to go in by himself, which as a parent I did not feel comfortable with. I had expressed my concerns and was told by the receptionist that "you send your child to school all the time by himself", "read our policy we had emailed you" I do not know if she was being funny, but at the time I do not appreciate being spoken to like that. My son is not going to school to get a dental/medical procedure. On their website there was not a "age specific" where your child must go in alone" When I had called in to proceed with the follow up, I was not told over the phone I had to redo the consultation all over again, we were scheduled in for an x-ray to see what would be the next step. Maybe after Covid they might change their policy but for now to save all the other parents time. I do not recommend this location. This is nothing against Dr. Tan, she was really nice during our first consultation and after reading the reviews I was happy to have her treat my son but after this afternoon's appointment I will not be returning to this office.

I recently had an implant put in by Dr. Lin. I was very impressed with the care, compassion and knowledge from the clinic team throughout the treatment. The office was clean and I felt safe coming during this pandemic. Booking was flawless and the front desk girls very helpful with my appointments.

Refused to book my appointment because they want me to pay $75 first.few months ago I canceled my appointment because I wasn't feeling well so I informed them and emailed them as well, one of the staff member said canceled my appointment at that time with no issues but now they creating problems.

Went to this particular office to have a crown lengthening procedure done and I loved every moment of it. Recovery was smooth and appreciated the staff calling to check in. 10/10 would recommend. They definitely have the patient's interest at heart

It's great having an orthodontist and periodontist that work together to optimize the results! Dr Lin and Dr Tam do a fabulous job. I just got my braces off today and love my new smile! Now on to the implant.

Dr. Tan and Dr. Lin and their staff are hands down the best around! Over the past three years, my daughter and I have received both ortho and perio treatment and the care/results have been amazing. This office is truly a team of professionals (special shout out to Danna who has made the perio treatments less scary) that make the difference!

I had my braces on for roughly 2 years but the whole experience felt so much quicker with how easy Dr. Tan made everything! Everyone was always super lovely and it felt like a little community more then just a regular Orthodontist. I highly recommend anyone get their braces done here no matter the age.
