Been going to this clinic for over 10 years now. Fantastic physiotherapy services where the physiotherapist works with you the entire time and doesn't just hook you up to a machine and walk away. It's also a no frills clinic that isn't a glorified spa like other places nearby.
I've been seeing Nick Antaya for the most recent recovery, and the experience has been second to none. Although I don't want to get injured again, I'll be coming back if I do!

I was in a ski accident many many years ago which was not diagnosed properly therefore, it didn’t heal properly which led to having chronic pain and Fibromyalgia.

After trying close to a dozen of different physio places, I’ve decided to try Barrhaven Physiotherapy as my last resort.

I’ve been seeing Nick Antaya for the past 13 years now and we both have learned a lot as a team and not always easy as I wasn’t responding very well to treatments as it was irritating me.

After many different treatments, Nick finally found something that seems to help.
Nick is really good at trying to understand and finding solutions to help control the pain.
We also both learned with the years that I will never be healed at 100% but for now the pain is under control by going once every two weeks.
The longer you wait on an injury that’s not addressed and the more the pain intensifies and takes longer to heal.

So for anyone feeling skeptical, for me physio has helped a lot but you also need to do your homework (exercises)

I have worked with many physiotherapists over the past 40+ years, but never with someone as high calibre as Nick Antaya. High energy, totally engaged and someone who listens carefully, he excels at getting to the core of a problem and quickly suggesting a solution. He will also tell you when his skills cannot help and you need to seek another form of medical assistance.

I have been to the Barrhaven and Kanata locations and both are clean and well-managed. I recommend this practice without any reservations.

I was very hesitant to go to physio after a bad experience with a different company. After one session with Matt he made me very comfortable and brought my anxiety right down. I’ve had a couple of sessions now and feel comfortable and trust he will combine the right amount of push I need while understanding my fear of re-injury and pain.

Have gone here for the past five years when I have problems, always get a quick and accurate diagnosis and excellent therapy. Can’t recommend these guys high enough - simply excellent service!

Jayson Le at Barrhaven Physio was amazing. He immediately and correctly diagnosed my issue and provided me with exercises and therapy that got me back to health. Prior to seeing him, I thought I would be living with chronic constraints on my mobility. Very, very pleased to have had his help.

Is an extraordinarily well run clinic with excellent administrative and reception staff, as well as absolutely top-notch care. Nick is at the very top of my list, although I absolutely know that his colleagues are also extremely gifted and competent. Because of the open concept, I cannot help but overhear and sometimes see interactions with other patients. This is the only clinic I ever recommend to friends and colleagues. You will receive high quality and compassionate care and you will be warmly greeted by the receptionist.

Mat provided expert help to heal my knee. He has excellent bedside manner and is very knowledgeable about the body musculoskeletal systems. I would recommend his services to anyone requiring physiotherapy.

The most knowledgeable and expert massage therapy service provided in the 30 years of going to massage therapists. Luke knows how to treat huge trigger points of rock solid hardened muscles that take up a large portion of my legs, buttocks, and hips. No other therapist could relieve the pain and break up the trigger points but him.

I first visited Nick back in 2012 for sports/football related injuries and used to trust him with my life. Since, I have returned to Ottawa and will not go elsewhere in the city when it comes to Physio related needs. I recommend Nick and his team every day of the week to get you back to feeling 100%. It's awesome being treated like a friend/family member each time I go in for treatment and I often look forward to my visits. 10/10!

Barrhaven Physiotherapy Clinic is my go to facility. For several years Nick has been my therapist for various injuries or ailments. Nick is so knowledgeable, very friendly and develops a great rappore with his patients. He listens to and educates his patients so they have a better understanding of their injury. He has always provided me with accurate assessments, and formulates quality treatment plans at the highest possible level, including "homework exercises". This past year my husband experienced Vertigo, and was referred to Matt, and Matt was able to provide great treatment and had my husband fixed up in 3 sessions. I have been on and off Nick's patient for my knee treatment for three times. Nick every time has diagnosed the pain reasons and treated with appropriate exercises. He and his colleagues are friendly, courteous and diligent. All staff take precautions in cleaning and disinfecting the material used by all people. Next time, if I need to, I will get again treatment from Nick.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this clinic.professional, well staffed, everyone is very pleasant. Excellent measures have been taken to assure that the work area is Covid cleaned. Nick takes time spent with his patients to educate them, first about their particular disability (anatomically) and, second, the best route to gaining mobility and pain reduction. I would definitely return if there was a need.

I’ve been coming here for better part of 10 years (I’m accident prone) and I’ve sent family and friends here too. Ideally, I go see Nick but if he’s unavailable I strongly recommend Matt C.and Patrick. They have a kanata location too which I’ve been to as well! Well versed staff and they really listen to the complaints/concerns regarding whatever condition/situation that brought you in. All around very great experience and efficient care:)

Patrick has been a great help in rehabilitation. My back has been bad for years and my knee within the last year or so. Started off on a good solid plan to "fix" me up. So far, so good. Just remember, results only happen when you put in the time and effort.

This is by far the clinic with the most knowledgeable physiotherapists in Ottawa. I have had physio here overs the years for different injuries and do recommend family and friends to come here for physio and massage. The care received is exceptional and all the therapists do everything they can to make you feel calm and confident that you will receive the best treatment.

I've gone to the clinic twice now with 2 different issues. I've had an amazing experience and it was certainly worth the drive out to Barrhaven (I'm closer to downtown). Highly recommend Nick Antaya; he was great in helping me figure out stretches to manage running pain and then to help relieve a high ankle pain.

Really excellent experience. My physiotherapist was Kevin and for the the assessment he listened and considered my own experience with my body, which was refreshing after some my experiences elsewhere. He has great instincts, and over the course of our appointments, connected ailments to a root source that had been overlooked in the past. I also appreciated that although his instincts were excellent, he made sure to try different exercises to triple check that his diagnosis was correct.

Overall, Kevin was very friendly, compassionate, and focused. I would definitely recommend him and this clinic to others looking for physiotherapy.

Nick Antaya and the team at Barrhaven Physiotherapy are an incredible group of health-care professionals. When I had surgery just days before the COVID lockdown in March, Nick worked with me to make sure my recovery was on track and progressing as it should. Nick's team transitioned seamlessly between in-person and virtual appointments as the guidelines changed, and Nick personally ensured that I was supported at all times post surgery. I highly recommend Barrhaven Physiotherapy Clinic. The service, support and care my family has received, over the years, has always been exceptional. The Clinic is always clean, organized and runs on time. I am always greeted with a smile, and my schedule is always accommodated.

The Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and work as a team to ensure optimal care for patients. I am a very active person and cannot speak more highly of the skilled physiotherapists. I have seen both Nick and Olivia through running and cycling injuries and have always been impressed (and relieved) by their ability to speed up my recovery. They have been instrumental in supporting me through the healing process.

Moreover, the Clinic's physiotherapists are always learning and upgrading their skills to ensure their patients have access to the most up to date practices and techniques. The Clinic is also fabulous with young children. Nick has seen my son twice - once, as a very young boy, for a broken foot, and recently, for a sports related injury. He always puts my son (and me) at ease, talks to my son on his level, jokes with him and encourages him to "do his homework" to help his recovery.

My husband and my mother have been treated by Nick and the results were nothing short of awesome. My mother broke her wrist and Nick was able to bring her to a full recovery. My husband had issues for several months with shoulder pain. After several other physiotherapists and chiropractor misdiagnosing him and giving poor treatment he had almost given up trying to get better. After seeing the results from my mother he decided to give Nick a try. Just a month later he has fully recovered.
