Ordered a part online to which the updates were provided promptly via email by Nicole. To pick up the part at the actual dealership, the 2 gentlemen at the reception were extremely polite, professional and greeted with with a smile. I am not from the around and had to drive over an hour to pick up the part and seeing the customer service at this dealership I'd say the drive was totally worth it

I am compelled to share my utterly disheartening experience with the Nissan dealership in Barrie, dating back to June 2020. At that time, I visited the dealership to address a concerning issue with my Nissan Sentra SR 2013, purchased just a few days prior.

Shortly after the purchase, I began experiencing jerks at a speed of 100 km/h on the highway. Concerned for my safety, I promptly visited the Barrie dealership to address the issue. Initially, the staff at the counter treated me with courtesy, but the situation took a drastic turn when I explained the transmission problems with my car.

To my shock, the lady at the counter was well aware that Nissan Sentra models from 2013 to 2016 had a recurring issue with faulty transmissions. Instead of showing genuine concern for a potential safety hazard, she abruptly ceased communication with me and called her supervisor to intervene. The supervisor, who was conveniently present, not only refused to address the matter directly but insisted that I call her for an appointment, right in front of me.

Feeling humiliated, I immediately called the supervisor to schedule an appointment, only to be told that there were no available slots. This contradicted the online availability I later discovered, further amplifying the disrespectful treatment I received.

It is appalling that a dealership, aware of a known transmission issue in the specific model I purchased, failed to prioritize customer safety and address the matter with urgency. This experience has left me questioning the integrity and professionalism of your establishment.

I urge Nissan to reconsider its commitment to customer safety and satisfaction. Ignoring serious issues, denying appointments, and displaying a lack of transparency in communication are unacceptable practices that tarnish the reputation of your brand.

I sincerely hope that my concerns are taken seriously and that corrective actions are implemented promptly to prevent others from experiencing such disregard for customer safety and satisfaction.

(I came on 21 or 22 June 2020 around 4: 30pm. It was lockdown but this Barrie dealership was taking appointments. After having bad experience I went to the woodbine Nissan. They told me after diagnose that it is transmission issue. Only reason writing this review is very disappointing and humiliating experience.)

I just picked up my new Qashqai from Barrie Nissan. I dealt with Victor (sales) and Ryan (finance) for my purchase. Best experience that I've ever had. No high pressure sales tactics. Good communication and lots of patience. I've always found car shopping to be stressful, but they both eliminated it from my experience altogether. I would definitely recommend Barrie Nissan in a heartbeat.

Nissan has great sales and prices! But if you want to fix your car often listen here

My wife bought a 2019 Nissan rouge at the same time I bought a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The rogue is sub par it’s got 50,000km on it and it’s always needing repairs right from the get go brand new isn’t was a Lemon. My Chevrolet has needed no repairs. As well Nissan is double the price any local mechanic is to fix the car seems nothing is ever covered under Nissans warranty. We have to deal with service in midland and it’s very subpar compared to Chevrolet.

List of repairs needed with in 50,000km
Leak in windshield
Air conditioning leaking out of vents
Two sets to breaks before 50,000km no she is not hard on breaks. She is on TD driving app and breaks fine.
Exhaust leak
Heat shield rattle
AWD option kicking out not working properly
We get both cars oil sprayed Chevy no rust Nissan a ton of rust.
Silicone around windshield came blown out and they refused to fix it under warranty in midland because we didn’t buy the vehicle there

Over all the Nissan is a very cheap SUV product. My dad just recently bought the new pathfinder and is very unhappy. He wished he would of stuck with Toyota. Spend the little bit extra for Toyota and Chevrolet!

Had a great experience buying my new vehicle. I was interested in the Ariya, which I had seen on internet and knew that there weren’t a lot available. When I saw one model on the lot, I stopped to see it, but someone had put a deposit on it. Talked with Jesse, he answered everything he could, and I told him I was interested in the copper one. There was one in ON and the dealership did what they could to get it to me. It is now mine. Both Jesse and Graham, the finance guy, were super helpful and applied no pressure. I love it!

Absolutely unmatched service, bought a new frontier, had shaking issues. Couldn’t figure it out but they never gave up. Got engineers in, gave me a loaner and replaced transmission, engine mounts, and other parts and kept me in the loop the entire time. Have my truck back, drives like a dream. The way they took care of me they 100% have a customer for life. My 3rd Nissan … won’t be my last. Thank you Matt and company, really appreciate everything you did.

If I could give a 0 star I would.

My 2019 Nissan kicks has been giving me issues - the vehicles alarm will not stop going off. I called, explained my situation and how I am travelling for work and need this fixed.

To be fair The service folks said they would try and look at it and give me new batteries for my key fobs. After a day and a half I had not heard back from them and needed to pick up my car - they knew this as I explained my situation to them. The car was not even looked at - no key fob batteries were supplied and the service department had closed without even letting me know leaving my car in a locked lot behind the dealership. When I picked up the car they said they were too busy to look at it or even bring it around front for when I was picking it up. After a week and half of travelling I finally was able to call back to book an appt again - but they couldn’t see it for a few weeks. They did have time to ask if I needed an oil change though! No thanks, taking my business elsewhere. Thanks for nothing Barrie Nissan!

Iv taken down the original post as requested. I paid for a job that wasn't completed with a return date to complete the job.returning on date to complete the job I was told my car needed special parts to complete the job because apparently according to mechanic my car has been lowered and modified.which it's not lowered or modified. I was told it would take a few weeks to get these custom parts to complete the alignment. New winter tires were installed, I did not want to wait for custom parts apparently that were needed to complete alignment. I went to another company and had alignment completed and no special parts were needed.a refund was issued by Nissan? Why are postings and reviews more important then customer satisfaction

Barrie Nissan is top shelf when it comes to service. Last April we moved from the Barrie area to Cornwall which is about a 6 hour drive. When we had trouble with our truck we felt more comfortable dealing with the Barrie Nissan staff other than our local dealership. Nicole and the staff listen to your concerns and explain what they need to do and the time frame it would take to get the job done. Nicole was great with staying in touch with us with updates on the status of the incoming parts needed to fix the truck. Our truck was ready to pick up last Thursday so we made another 6 hour drive back to Barrie Nissan to pick up our truck. We were so happy with the service they gave us they even had our truck washed and warmed up when we arrived. I can't say enough about the great service you get at Barrie Nissan, it is well worth the drive to a dealership you can trust. We will get our oil changes and small services done here locally but when it comes to anything else we will go back to Barrie Nissan. Thank you again to the amazing staff at Barrie Nissan

For the second time in a row, we have had a great experience with Barrie Nissan. We just bought our 2017 Ford Escape here and we received outstanding service. Mitch, our sales rep, went above and beyond in making sure we had the right vehicle for us, and made the experience so easy and pleasant for us. He even went out and bought a big bow to make our new-to-us car feel extra special, and very exciting for our young son too! We also received very kind and courteous service from Ryan on the finance side of things. He walked us through all our options and made sure we had all the information we needed to make our decision, and was happy to answer any questions we had.

I have purchased numerous cars in my lifetime. Barrie Nissan by far, was the best experience.they were very efficient, helpful and accommodating.

I live in the Toronto area and I have purchased 4 previous Nissan Vehicles from the Mississauga dealership, and while looking for this new vehicle I was told that nothing was available and they were not willing to give me a value on my trade-ins.while searching through auto-trader, Barrie Nissan gave me a trade-in value within five minutes.

I was impressed with it but found hard to believe, because the value quoted was a few thousand dollars more than I had paid for it seven years ago.

Victor contacted me and quickly confirmed the offer and proceeded to give me the MSRP price listed on the new vehicle I was interested in. After further research I found out that the MSRP is actually $6,000 less than a 2 year used vehicle of the same model. Needless to say I was extremely happy with the offer.

We made arrangements for me to drive over the vehicle for an in-person evaluation and upon examination they actually increased the trade-in value.

I decided at that point to trade in a second vehicle since realizing the honest and fair team I was dealing with. They never made me feel pressured, never pushed or tried to oversell as I have experienced many times before.

In the same way I know my Vehicles and what they are worth, I know good people when I meet them and These Are Good People.from Graham who put my package together to Victor and his "boss" who added on extra discounts and were prompt and professional, I can honestly say I would never go to any other Nissan Dealership even though is 100 KMS away.

I thank you all very much and would recommend everyone to enjoy the experience.

Just picked up my new vehicle from Barrie Nissan. After going to several dealerships, Victor was by far the most helpful and knowledgeable sales associate I dealt with. He found me the perfect car and was able to get it for me in 3 days. Not only that, but he came in on his day off to ensure I’d have the car before the long weekend. This is above and beyond what I would expect and can’t say enough good things about my experience overall.

Graham was also fantastic; quick to reply to emails and made everything very smooth for me. He answered my questions promptly and was very quick in dealing with my insurance broker’s request for paperwork.

The two of them pushed to get my vehicle ready for me on the Friday before the long weekend and they delivered!

In September of 2021 I went to nissan to buy my first new car, the sales person I had was Cam, he was absolutely amazing! So helpful and made my decision easy. Then I dealt with the finance manager Ryan, he went above and beyond helping me to get the car of my dreams, and helped me get the best warranty possible for my new car, including tire and rim protection.

Now in January of 2022, I hit a massive pothole and bent one of my rims, cut the tire and broke the pressure sensor. Nancy answered my frantic phone call and helped me to get my car in the same day. The service advisor Matt was excellent, he called me same day and explained what was wrong, helped me get a loaner car for the night, and set up my warranty claim for the tire and rim. I got a new rim, tire and pressure sensor, completely covered by warranty and got my car back THE NEXT DAY! I couldn’t imagine getting better service anywhere else! Nancy and Matt even let me take a picture of my bent rim!

I’d recommend Barrie Nissan to anyone and everyone!

Can’t post a second review, so I’m editing my old one. Dropped from a 5star to a 1star. Had warranty work completed in which the whole dash had to be removed to complete. Got it back and things weren’t lining up properly along with gaps where there shouldn’t be. Brought it back again, and still wasn’t fixed properly (the mechanic gave it a good 10minute effort that time and called it fixed the best it would be able while also giving me false information). Waiting for them to open tomorrow so I can call and book in yet AGAIN to have it fixed properly. Went through thoroughly this weekend with a family member who knows vehicles and there are actually far more problem areas then I originally spotted. Will be requesting to see if I can have a new mechanic.

Worst service department in Ontario. Today was the second time I made an appointment weeks in advance for my snow tires to be put on, and when I arrived, tires had not been brought up from Concord. Same thing happened in the Spring. I received at least 5 emails and texts leading up to the appointment, reminding me I had an appointment. Wouldn’t you think that when the appointment was made that they would put your name on a list to have tires there on the day required. My tires are to be delivered to my home today and I will never go to this dealer again. My husbands tires are to be put on tomorrow and his tires weren’t there either.
We have 4 Nissan’s in my house. Only one was purchased there. After the warranty guy Adam kept trying to upsell tires and warranties I decided to buy mine elsewhere. I went to BOURGEOIS in Midland and bought 2 cars and a Frontier truck. Was treated like Royalty and the service department is fast and efficient. I will drive 40 minutes away for service I can depend on.

Finally we got our car. After many attempts and mess ups. The only reason I will go back to this dealership if VICTOR is our sales agent.
This man had to shuffle through the mess that we were first dealt.
Rating Victor would be a 10

My daughters bought their cars at Nissan 5 years ago but as they say things have really changed since.

The Barrie Nissan employees took advantage of me by charging me over $600.00 for my first maintenance service. At the Bourgeois Midland Nissan, first maintenance service only costs over $100.00. They also removed my new tires and replaced them with a set that was worn out and dangerous to be on my car. If you are getting your tires changed there, write your name on your tires or put a mark on them so you will know if it is your tires that you get back. I would never recommend the Barrie Nissan dealership.

The sales people here are very helpful and polite. The service department is an entirely different story. Within a year of buying a vehicle here, they were pushing close to $2,000.00 worth of non-warranty repairs on me. They are not forthright about what is needed vs.what is simply being recommended. Furthermore, their prices are astronomical. When my lease was up, I purchased the vehicle from the dealership. Without telling me the price beforehand, the service department went ahead and safetied the vehicle. They charged me just shy of $250.00 for the safety. 6 months ago, I safetied my wife's vehicle at another shop here in Barrie of 69.95. I do not trust the service department at this dealership and I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

My wife was looking for a new Rogue. She reached out and contacted Shelby at Orillia Nissan and they Spent time going back and forth and scheduled a test drive. They talked rough pricing and what her lease buy back would be. When my wife and I got there Shelby stated that due to the current microchip shortage there’d be absolutely no negotiating. So we decided to leave. On the way out we called Barrie Nissan and Beth told us she’d be more than happy to negotiate and help her find the Rogue she wanted. And Beth delivered. I hate dealing with car sales people but watching the way Beth worked with my wife was awesome. I highly recommend heading to Barrie Nissan and dealing with Beth and Graham.

We bought a lightly used 2018 rouge-tech through Cameron at Barrie Nissan. We was very friendly and professional through the hole experience. He was also very quick with responding to emails and when we asked him if they had any lightly used cars within our budget in stock he was prompt and courteous with his response and did everything he could to find us the perfect car for our growing family that kept us within our budget. Matt and all the service personnel where wonderful to deal with. I had 2 issues with my 2017 Rogue, an O2 sensor and 3 wheels that had very poor balancing. Matt had the car fixed up in no time and now it drives like a dream. A big thanks to Matt and all the service people at Barrie Nissan.

We bought our car through the Nissan Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program at Barrie Nissan after looking into a number of other places to see what our options were.

The good:

Although we're from downtown Toronto, I cannot stress enough how happy I am that we decided to drive out to Barrie for our car. I have never received such incredible customer service and everyone was fantastic to work with. From Beth in sales to Graham, to P. J. You actually feel like you're important as a customer.

The even better (and this is why the CPO program is an absolute MUST) :

We specifically were looking for a CPO car as they come with at least a 1-year powertrain warranty depending on the age. In this case, our car was still young enough that it has a year left on it's bumper-to-bumper warranty as well as an extended powertrain warranty (If buying a used car, I highly recommend going through a CPO program for these reasons).

As with used cars, there will always be small imperfections and ours was no different. The previous owner (rental car agency) had covered some scratches on the roof with touch up paint and we hadn't noticed them until my mechanic pointed them out over a month later, noting that the paint was bubbled in a couple of spots (a potential bad sign). I immediately contacted Barrie Nissan and within 24 hours, P. J. (the Pre-Owned Sales Manager) called me, made arrangements to drive down a loaner car for us to use while they took our car to their body shop and had all the damage spots repaired to a point where you can't tell there was ever a scratch.

Upon getting the car back, I noticed some very tiny spots along the front of the roof were still there, I called P. J.and he drove another loaner car down himself a couple of days later so he was able to see exactly what needed to be done still. He dealt directly with the body shop and they fixed every last spot, even going as far as resealing the windshield to ensure that there were no signs of rust or potential damage!

) THIS WORK WAS ALL DONE FOR FREE UNDER THE WARRANTY COVERAGE!)

Again, I can't emphasize enough how stress-free this whole process was. This is my first car and I will absolutely go back to Barrie Nissan and their FANTASTIC team when we look at getting our next vehicle.

Barrie Nissan renewed my faith in Nissan!
After a very upsetting visit to Orillia Experience Nissan
Where i bought my first ever brand new car. 2017 micra.i called Steve (service manager) at Barrie Nissan.i was told to bring my car in and they would look at it.my exhaust muffler flange was rotten and broke off at mid pipe.
They replaced it at no charge. THANK YOU!
Very happy with their customer service.from Brittney who answers the phones and greets you to almost everyone you see in dealership

Recently purchased a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle form Barrie Nissan. Our sales associate Beth, was professional and friendly, she diligently followed Covid protocols. Beth took the dreaded pressure out of purchasing a vehicle, she made us feel comfortable and relaxed. In the end we purchased a wonderful vehicle from her, within our establish price range. Financing was equally stress free, Graham secured the financing, presented additional products, but did not push the services that we were not interested in.
Finally, an unexpected nice touch upon picking up the vehicle, a product associate sat with us in the vehicle and took his time to show us all the features of the vehicle and how to operate them. We were able to connect our bluetooth and understand how to run the technology in this very technological vehicle.
Overall the experience was pleasant and painless, I highly recommend this dealership.

The sales team worked really hard to find my wife the vehicle she wanted in the colour she wanted. The service team was excellent in explaining to her how all of the different systems worked.

We recently bought a SUV from Barrie Nissan, and I have to say the customer service was second to none. Jeremie our sales associate was polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. When we had to wait due to a queue to talk with the Financing Service Manager, they made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. When I picked up our SUV, I was given a detailed tour of the new features with the SUV. This was unexpected and appreciated. Eric was very knowledgeable and friendly to deal with. He made sure I understood all the features within the vehicle. Graham the Financing Service Manager was also extremely friendly, and knowledgeable (notice a trend?).

Will I deal with them again in the future? You bet I will.

I have been going for regular service but this time I went because I had some issues with the paint and my tires. I met with Steve Ward and his detail team and was very impressed. Steve is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help me even though I didn't have an appointment. The issue I had was not an actual issue with Nissan, however, Steve was very helpful in checking and explaining what the issue was and how to deal with it. Thank you Steve & team!

WOW WOW WOW! My sister and I were looking to purchase a new vehicle. This was our first time so we were very anxious about the whole experience. We had been to numerous other car dealerships and were ignored or very pushy sales people who did not listen to what we were looking for. We came into Nissan today looking around. Cameron appraoched us and asked us what we were looking for. We can not say enough about how amazing cameron was. He listened to what we were looking for and wanted to make sure we were comfortable by answering all our questions. We then saw a gentlemen Graham who helped us out with financing. He was also amazing. Explaing everything we needed to know and also answering our questions. We have had such a great experience at Nissan Barrie. We highly recommend them for anyone looking for a vehicle. Thank you for being welcoming!

I have been looking for a car and visited a fee dealerships in the last week. I visited Barrie Nissan and tested a Rogue. Until now I have not decided which car I am going to buy but I wanted to mention that Jeremie Noel gave us an excellent service while we were at Nissan. He is very knowledgeable and hones giving us different options for us to decide. To be honest I went to Barrie Nissan when I was 95% sure I wanted another car brand but after visiting Nissan and experiencing the quality of their service I am now seriously considering getting a car from that dealership. Thank you Nissan and thank you Jeremie for the excellent service!

Beware of Diagnostic charges. Since dealer pricing for oil changes appear to becoming more cost comparative with other oil change businesses, we decided to give Barrie Nissan our business. I asked my son to take our Nissan Rogue for an oil change at the Barrie location plus have them check the sunroof. The sunroof was functioning properly except the rubber molding around the roof opening was coming off and looked like it could be reseated into the edge/grove with the proper tool to repair or replace the seal as required. The dealer performed a "diagnostic" on the car and the sunroof will cost $899.48 to repair. He said no to the repair and was informed that the diagnostic is a $141.25 (tax in) fee for the sunroof appraisal? Why a physical issue like a sunroof requires a diagnostic test with their computer is hard to understand the logic? After an interesting discussion with the service manager, he stated it took two mechanics over an hour to "water test" the roof to conclude their findings to repair this sunroof. Seriously? The service manager stated that customers are informed of the charge when booking the appointment. Okay chalk this up to a misunderstanding of dealership charges? I have been to many other Auto places and they do not charge for estimating or quoting a repair of this kind. I asked the manager if he could reduce the cost of the charge and he would not budge one cent on the "diagnostic" charge. He challenged me back stating that he wouldn't expect his mechanics to work for free if he reduced the charges? Clearly the manager doesn't get it! Nor understand good business to adjust cost for a loyal Customer. It has nothing to do with paying an employee? If he cared about Customer Service and good Customer relations, our car is a 2015 vehicle and he totally blew a chance on a repeat Customer that would spend easily 40-60K on a new vehicle all for the refusal to adjust a few dollars? Anyway, we paid the charges meaning a $60 oil change became a $200+ bad experience. Again, why was I charged a diagnostic charge to start with? I now realize that the fine print techniques to overcharge the Customer and they're reluctance to change still exist in 2020.

We had a terrible experience trying to trade in and buy a new car here 3 years ago. I wrote a review and received a vitriol laced response from the previous manager. We found out later he was canned and decided to give them another chance.

The last few times we've had our car in for service the dealership has changed dramatically for the better. I can only comment right now on the service side of the dealership at this time.

As time went on I've consistently edited my review to reflect the service received lately. And i do very much appreciate the new managers response to my concerns.

We just had the car in for an oil change last week and were very happy with the whole process this time, thus the change from a 1 star to a 4 star review. You've now earned it Barrie Nissan keep up the good work, people are just looking to be treated fairly.

My only small complaint is that they usually take 1.5 hours for an oil change, but their prices are reasonable for synthetic oil so we end up going there. This past trip we had to leave the car overnight because there was a few other things they needed to fix so the oil change time was not an issue then.

I had a horrible experience at Barrie Nissan, but in particular with a Manager named Doug Buchanan - he was arrogant, impolite and did not listen. Beth was attempting to explain something and he interrupted her constantly and actually belittled her in front of us. I asked to speak with the General Manager, however I was told he does not work a lot. Not a great dealership and hence why I bought a second vehicle from Orangeville even though I live in Barrie.

We've been to this dealership 3 times in the last 6 weeks with the same issue. The last time we went, the vehicle was returned and we were told there was nothing wrong with it, that there were no longer error codes coming up. A couple days later took it to a small town garage with the same issue (as it hadn't be revolved) and received nearly the same feedback we got the first time taking it to Nissan. All sorts of errors and issues with the car. All Barrie Nissan did was reset my dash lights so the check engine light no longer came on. POS service manager lies through her teeth and should be fired. Gave the okay to return an unfixed and UNSAFE vehicle.

We had a wonderful experience today at Barrie Nissan. Kalen was hosting their special event and was very warm and welcoming. Our salesperson Beth was very personable and helpful. She made us feel like family.

Service manager calls with upsells, then the staff call with almost the same recommendation, three hours later. Hmmmm makes me question their honesty and integrity. Gives the impression that the manager talked to the techs to provide reasons for the work he suggested. Ever since they fired the GM who sabotaged a fellow dealership and replaced him I am beginning to wonder if there are any honest people at Nissan. Their hold recording also contradicts the experiences with the new staff. Trying to earn our trust, this and the last visit have destroyed it beyond repair. They also don't change the window stickers when they do oil changes.

This dealership and it's salespeople were amazing! We told them what we needed and what our budget was. We had an idea of which car we wanted and why. They never tried to dissuade us. We test drove the KICKS
and it was love at first drive! We had to be sure and spent a few more days looking. They only called once while others bugged us constantly. Our sales person Jeremy and Finance person Graham were friendly and professional. They honestly could not have been more helpful, I had a medical condition and they made sure I was always comfortable.
My beautiful blue Kicks was ready for pick up a few days later. I drove home with a big smile on my face.

The service department went above and beyond to help my elderly parent’s with there 2010 Sentra. The AC was not working in the almost 40 Celsius weather they booked them in and had the vehicle repaired the same day. This might sound normal but in these times service departments are usually booking out one two two weeks for repairs. Thanks again for the fantastic service.

I wanted to take the time to say what a great experience I had with Majid. I always dislike car shopping because I feel as though I am being taken advantage of and I am just being looked at as a compensation cheque. But this time was completely different! Majid made me feel comfortable and relaxed and took the time to answer every question I had. He got our situation as new parents and helped us find the best vehicle within our budget and a vehicle that made sense to fit our growing family for years to come. We test drove 4 vehicles that day so I could get a real sense of what was out best fit! I never felt pressured, I felt comfortable to voice all my concerns plus he made laugh along the way. I couldnt be more grateful for my experience and will never use another sales person again! Thanks Majid!

I called Barrie Nissan today at 2PM and asked to speak to service because I could not get my hood to latch. They told me that they would have a Tech call me back as I should not drive with my hood unlatched. I am still waiting for their call at 4: 30 and just found out they are now closed. Thank you Barrie Nissan. Not!
