Drivers love to take up residential parking spot and scream at tenant's when asked to move or they take pictures to have them removed. Disgusting customer service and general human behavior! Would rather crawl through glass and salt then have a ride with these guys!

We arrived on the GO train in Barrie minutes after a severe weather and tornado warning. Barrie taxi got us safely to our hotel.

Cheated my son. Drove the long way around to our house because he had cash and was young. This company will take advantage of your youth.

On Friday past, I requested a Barrie taxi it was.driven by a man who said he was from Nigeria. I had told the dispatcher I would pay by credit card
Upon arrival at my destination when I presented my card I was told it was refused. I then scrambled together enough cash and, upset that my card did not work, I overpaid the driver.
I then attended my appointment,
presented my charge card again at the end of the appointment and it worked perfectly for a sum much much higher than the taxi ride.
Not a good experience!

If you value your car or your money, I would never trust these guys to do any kind of taxi work of driving me or my family around shady sketchy and on top of that don't know how to drive. I've seen better drivers and Brampton and Mississauga than from this company! If there's a way to give negative stars I would!

Used this company 3 nights ago. Ride home was $14. Last night scammy driver took the long route and fare came out to $16. Thats a 14% increase on the fare for no good reason. Will not be using this scammy taxi service again.

Worst cab company 2 nights in a row had barrie taxi parked the wrong way on my street with the high beams on perring in my windows!

Told me there was gonna br a wait fine, minutes late no taxi I had to call to fine then found out taxi broke down and wait time is gonna be longer

DO NOT USE for airport rides!
I booked Barrie Taxi to take me to the airport as I had an early Monday morning flight. I booked it on the Thursday before and called to confirm on Sunday for my Monday 4am pick up. On Monday at exactly 4am instead of the taxi arriving, I received a phone call cancelling saying they didn’t have anyone available and that they would maybe be able to get someone, maybe in 30 mins. He couldn’t be sure. I was so lucky to find an Uber to pick me up instead. Thanks Barrie Taxi for almost making me miss my flight. Will never use again, Uber all the way!

Driver was not stopping at stop signs
Was on his phone, and almost got t boned when he blew a stop sign
If it wasn't for the other driver who had right of way and his reaction we would've got crashed into.and also not clean

Great experience, very kind even showed up before suggested.
My only complaint was it was rainy and the cab driver never helped me load my heavy stuff.
But honestly not a huge deal.

So, I was using this company for a few months for my commute to work early in the morning to connect to my bus, and today I’m told a booking doesn’t guarantee my ride!
I call Bulls***!
Don’t use this service! The dispatcher was extremely rude and didn’t care that I had to be at downtown on time!

Pay cash! Scammy $1.50 "surcharge" for using debit. No way in hell the bank is charging them that much. Not the drivers' fault.

Their app is also very inaccurate re: projected cost. If they're trying to compete with Uber, they're failing.

Worth the read here if you want to save money. Pure hit and miss on service. First time using them in August was OK, flat rate of $180 to go from 2 locations in Barrie to YYZ at 6am, our driver was a kind woman who drove well. Wish we had that service and lady the 2nd time, my most recent time was a terrible experience. Was quoted on Nov 24 $170 to go from 2 locations in Barrie to YYZ @ 3am on Nov 28. Driver shows up, when I get in, he tells me flat rate is $220. I said you quoted me $170 3 days ago. He kept turning the car off and telling me to get out and get another cab if I wasn't going to pay $220. Driver's name was Mian, he was going on about construction and road work coming back and that was reason for extra charge. We kept going back and forth arguing but that did nothing, super vulnerable situation considering the middle of the night and flight to be made. We literally made it to the airport in no time and on the way back at 4am he would be smooth sailing. His meter seemed to be programmed super high, it showed $300.00 when we got to the airport, they use this as a tactic to justify the outrageous costs. This cab cost as much as my flight to Halifax. These guys are pure crooks wanting to make an extra buck and they don't care if that turns away repeat customers. I came back to them because the 1st experience was good. No chance I am going back to them ever again. Posting photos for proof. DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS. The funny thing is, they won't reach out to rectify this situation. This is not how you do business!

Crooks. I tool taxi for 16 kms. They charged me $54 one way and $86 for the return.
Rip off

We were picked up by Mani. Nice guy, nice car, good driver. To hospital $37. Mani could not do our return because of an accident. The next car was old and dirty. Reckless driver. $46. Same distance. Rip off for sure.

Dispatch took forever to respond…. I mean during a conversation, she took 30 seconds to answer our questions as we asked them. She sounded like she really didn’t wanna answer the call, we’ll I really didn’t wanna make the call so cheer up!

I have used the different cab companies in Barrie and I feel the safest in their fleet. When I call the operator is friendly and understanding of my needs and even explains things I didn't know before. The drivers are safe drivers, clean cars, and they have different payment methods. Overall have had a good experience but things can always be improved such as the app. I struggle using it and I'm pretty tech savvy so that part needs improvement.

I reached out for a cab this morning at 7: 20 to get to work for 8am and they told me the driver is around the corner. It’s now 7: 55 still no driver and I am now late. Now they are sending someone. I asked about calling other companies and they assured me not to and that’s he’s “close”. Brutal. I will never use this service again.

I had 25 to get to allendale go to catch the last bus home to COLLINGWOOD they promised me it would be 5 minutes 15 minutes later no cab now I have to hitchhike back home to COLLINGWOOD, thank you for ruining my day

Friendly driver. Friend forgot his phone in the car and driver returned it for free. Excellent service.

I pre-order cabs for work sometimes if I don't have time to take a bus and they've made me late for work twice, even though I pre-order it by an hour. I'm completely done with this service.

Unreliable and slow.
The app never works either.

Plus, this one time my male driver tried to pick up another male passenger while I was still in the cab. He said it was on the way to my drop off location. I told him absolutely not and that I was uncomfortable and he just laughed. He didn't end up getting the guy but I found that very sketchy and inappropriate.

Only giving a one star because there are a few drivers who are nice.

Horrible experience. Driver yelled at me in front of my kids because the handle fell off. Will not be recommending this company to anyone. Then he slammed the truck and jumped back in. This is usually my go to company. Not anymore. Sorry

Ordered and never showed up. Called back and nobody picked up the phone. Terrible and will never use again. Deluxe taxi is way better.

Nice company but usually as soon as I hang up the phone after requesting a cab they send me multiple texts saying its arrived at the pickup point. Why?

If I could rate lower than 1 I would. I call this company EVERY SINGLE DAY and I am always told I should call another company from the newest male phone operator because they are too busy. Before this guy started I had great service and now I'm being told to wait. Unacceptable when I use this service EVERY DAY.

Will be using Alliance Taxi from now on.

Not only did the cab not show up, but the dispatcher berated me for it.

I called a cab to the Casa Cappucino block of Dunlop so I could get to work. I got the dispatched text while standing outside waiting. Then, I got the arrived text. Still waiting. 5 minutes after that text, I called back. During this call, I was told that the driver was sitting outside my address for 5 minutes and noone had come out, and that they had tried to call. I was standing outside the entire time with my phone in my hand. No cab, no phone call. I said this, and then she audibly rolled her eyes, said "that's weird, we tried to call. " and put me on hold. She came back to tell me yes he was there, he was across the road from Foxx Lounge (in an entirely different part of downtown), and if I just look across the road, I'll see him. I told her that that was a different block and said that I was standing directly in front of 3 open spaces and I'd like the cab to come to the address I had requested originally. I didn't want to walk over there for a ghost cab in freezing rain only to find the driver not there or driving away. We went around like this for awhile while she continued to try to make it my fault, and she put me on hold again, and then came back and asked if I still wanted the cab-do you want him to drive around the block to come to you? Well, yes, I mean, I called because I wanted a cab. It was a block straight ahead if he was where he said he was. Here she told he he can't do a U turn on Dunlop. I reiterated the straight ahead part, and she sighed and said he'd be to me in minute. He never arrived.

All I wanted was to get to work. After 10 minutes of waiting for nothing, I called another cab company. He came within 5 minutes. While in that cab, I found a text thanking me for cancelling my cab-this had arrived during this frustrating phone call.

I get miscommunicated/misunderstood addresses. I get traffic. I get a driver getting lost. I do not get being berated and sighed at for my cab not showing up.

I have uninstalled the app, and will put another company's number in my contacts. So disappointed with this experience. Do not use if you want to be on time for work.

I will not be using Barrie Taxi again. Their treatment and lack of respect for persons with disabilities is despicable!

Prices are outrageous. This is my first time using a taxi service and while my first ride was fine the price was crazy. Tried getting a taxi back home and specifically asked to be picked up at a certain store in the plaza and the driver drove to a different store and waited for a couple minutes. I realized they weren’t going to get me at the requested location so I started walking over.just as I got to the car the driver sped off and cancelled my ride. Ordered another taxi and was cancelled a couple minutes after confirming so I ordered yet another one. This time I was actually picked up thankfully. I have severe anxiety about being in public and wanted my trip to be as short as possible but because of their horrible service I had to endure panic attacks while feeling stranded. Never taking a taxi again.

Shameful. Just a poorly run company, where it's clear that the customer is not their priority. Vehicles in terrible condition, and unskilled drivers (though not all of them), who can't communicate in a clear fashion and leave you feeling worried that you've been ripped off. Attempts to communicate with the company fall on deaf ears.
Ride-sharing companies can't put this disgusting company under fast enough.
