Best experience I have had dealing with building suppliers while building our own house. Scott was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and able to help us design and supply our custom stair railings for us to Install, turned out amazing!
Highly recommend Barrie Trim and Moulding, better quality materials priced reasonably and better service than any big box store. Also shout out to Sandra for her help and knowledge as well. Definitely will be going back when we get to our trim needs.

Have had all my doors and trim orders filled from BTM covering two full basement apartments and wainscotting and decorative trim. Prices are competitive and turn around time for items not stocked is very reasonable. Scott and Matt have been wonderful reps to work with, very knowledgeable and friendly. Scott took care of an issue on one of my orders (my fault I somehow made incorrect measurements) but took back the trim and replaced it with the right one no questions asked. I highly recommend!

We are in the process of refinishing our basement and were struggling to find the right baseboard and trim. BTM came to the rescue with just what we were looking for. They were also able to supply and deliver in a timely fashion and were very professional. We will not hesitate to go through them again when we tackle the rest of the house. At 15: 43 August 25th 2022 i witnessed a BTM van almost cause a massive collision/pile up. Their driver was going northbound on Bayview about 20km/faster then everyone else and in the right turning lane. They then illegally crossed through the intersection almost striking a vehicle making a legal right turn from big bay onto North bound Bayview. Inorder avoided the collision the driver had to swerve left into the second lane where they almost struck 2 other vehicle's. Luckily those drivers were able to swerve into the oncoming lane to avoid being smashed by the BTM truck

Be very careful when near this companies trucks. I'd be worried about even allowing them on my property.

We did a complete remodel of our home. Barrie Trim and Mouldings did everything from trim to doors and door hardware. The quote process was easy, and the pricing was fair. This place has a big selection of mdf trim (sawdust and glue). So for that type of product it's great.but for real wood trim everything needs to be ordered in and that's just not my idea of a "trim & door" store.

I wanted to update my builders grade newel post, spindles & railing. I reached out to BTM for this small project. Installer Greg did a fabulous job - perfection. I got exactly what had envisioned. It still has to be stained, which will make it beautiful!

All companies have problems, but it is how they resolve them. I give good marks to BTM for this

Really disappointed with this company as it was recommended by several of our contractors, this has been such a stressful experience. Our first order with BTM earlier this year we ordered over a thousand $ worth of trim and a new closet door. The process took several phone calls to get things ordered - this is fine. The order showed up and was dropped off without our knowledge outside on our front porch. The door had several chips in it and had to be returned and the process repeated which took another several weeks (again the door showed up despite asking for a warning phone call). My second experience with BTM is still ongoing. We have ordered over 3K worth of doors. Doors arrived again without notice (despite asking for a phone call), and most of the doors are dented and chipped. See picture below, this is one of many chips in the doors. Additionally the wrong door handles have been sent to us, so now after weeks and weeks of trying to get the doors ordered they finally arrived chipped and incorrect handles. We have spoken with probably 10 different people, the communication is terrible. So now we are still waiting for the repaired doors, and correct door handles, and our custom door. Finally, we asked them while ordering the doors if they could quote us for a new railing/stairs (another 3-4K project). It took over two weeks to get a quote and at this point we will be choosing another company. I wish we would have gone with a different company in the first place who cares for their clients - especially when spending several thousand dollars with them. A very stressful and unprofessional experience. My husband who is an electrician and works on many home renovations in the area will certainly be letting customers know to stay away.

Update: We emailed BTM and cc'd the email given below by the owner. That was last Friday, almost a week ago and no one has responded to the email.

Barrie Trim and Mouldings installed these gorgeous Stairs for us last week! Sean was very helpful with putting the right combination of Newell Post, spindle and Railing together for us. Thank you to the Installation and build Team, their attention to detail and excellent service start to finish was very evident.

Having dealt with BTM a number of times over the last few years for a variety of projects, I am always pleased with their products, pricing and timing. I am always treated well over the phone and through e-mails, and whomever I am working with at BTM gets back to me in a timely manner. In all honesty one of the ways I gauge a company and their service is how they deal with all aspects of there business - problems not withstanding. Our most recent dealings had a few minor issues during the ordering phase that wasn't caught until closer to delivery. I was a little paniced at first as I was on a time crunch to complete an installation. BTM worked out a solution that was beyond my expectations and I was still able to meet my deadlines. It is experiences like this, the ability to help solve a problem versus pointing fingers and/or ignoring the issue, that will allow us to continue to work with BTM into the future.
