Once again Leita has done a fantastic grooming my 120 lb Alaskan Malamute. Leita has been grooming Dawson for several years now. Always a great job. She knows both how to handle a big dog that does not like his rear end touched and shape his coat to perfection. He looks great for months and months. Thank you Leita!

Went to Barrkhaven for the first time today with my 10m old beagle. We got tired of wrestling her to trim her nails. Tyler had them done in no time and she was just as happy when she was done as when she went in. 100% returning for further needs.

Drove in from out of town today for our 1030 appointment. Was completely ignored by the front desk staff. They then told me they had no record of our appointment, When they located our appointment they told me it was for earlier in the day, which it was not (I have a record of it) and tried to charge me a no-show fee. Then let me and my pup walk away without offering any solutions whatsoever. Very disappointed not coming back.
I would also like to note that at no point was I disrespectful with the staff. It was quite the opposite. I politely took my dog and left. I’m happy to say that we found great service elsewhere!

Great family owned/run pet groomers and boutique. I bring my dog here every few months and she always comes back looking fantastic. The staff here really do care about your pet and it shows in their work.

Fantastic spot! Tyler does a great job with my not-so-enthusiastic cat’s nails every time, and makes her feel comfortable along the way. Every other staff I’ve encountered at the front desk is always personable and helpful as well.

Getting into a groomer is like finding a diamond - hard. However I found Barrkhaven awesome! While the grooming ended up being $$$$ I consider it a win because the groomer took her time to chat with me and understand the particulars of what I wanted for my very long haired cocker spaniel. She was familiar with cocker grooming and took good care of him. He came out groomed perfectly to what I had envisioned and had a calm experience. I will be going back as my experience was overall very good. Thank you!

So happy I can bring my bunny for her trims. Not many people can trim her nails but the staff here are so amazing with her. I've even noticed her temperament become better and better each time we go! Thank you again.

Very rude staff there. I think he's the owner but doesn't matter. We have been going here for years, we have 6 pets within the family and this place won't see another penny from me. We missed an appointment which isn't the problem, but telling your customer "Pay the cancellation fee or go somewhere else" I paid the cancellation fee, but I will be going elsewhere regardless.

I had taken my Golden for a grooming session this morning. They handed me my dog without mentioning anything. I noticed him licking his private parts and looked at his belly. They removed almost 10x5 cm of his beautiful golden hair from his belly! I understand cleaning up and grooming hair of the private region is part of the process, and I get that accidents to happen. But I would have felt better about it if they had mentioned it at pick up. I had to come home and brush him again as his hair was clearly not brushed well. I tried talking to the manager but he did not have the time to talk! I definitely felt like it wasnt worth the $85 plus taxes I paid. Maybe they are amazing at their jobs, but just wasnt a good experience for me and my dog!

Independent pet shop. Carries unique products and includes grooming services. I often use their $20 nail trim and grind service for my dog between groomings.

Shout out to this wonderful establishment, I am a frequent customer and always greeted with smiles and good advice. The staff have a genuine warmth for my little schnoodle Oliver and Tyler is the best groomer in town. He treats Oliver as one of his own and is so gentle and kind to him with all his grooming needs or even just comes over to say hello when we are there. This is a great place for all your pets needs.

I enjoy coming to the store on a weekly basis, staff is very friendly and customer focused. I came in this past weekend to get get my dogs nails trimmed and received a gift for there 10 year anniversary. Couldn’t ask for better service. Thank you.

Have been bringing my dog here for a year or so now, never a bad visit! The staff are extra friendly, true pet lovers who give my dog so much attention! Great selection of toys, treats, foods and excellent groomers who are super friendly, calm and professional!

Terrible customer service. Went there 8 years loyal customer and over the last year the service has declined, get comfortable with a groomer and they leave. Charged for everything even if it is their fault. Lack of communication and rude staff. Not interested in making customer happy just charge extra for everything that should be included in the service. Do not recommend this place at all.

We have our Miniature Schnauzer groomed here and the groomers do a great job! Reasonable prices and my pup looks and smells amazing after a groom. We also buy our food here too and like supporting a "mom and pop" store.

Absolutely amazing groomers who always do a great job with my anxious dog. They're very accommodating for her needs and so friendly!

Took my dog in for a shampoo and nail trimming only to come home and see dried blood on one of her nails. The groomer had cut her quick and did not bother mentioning this when I picked her up. I then spoke with the groomer and her story was just as shady as the business itself; first she denied there was any blood then went back on her word and said she treated it with septic powder. Take your pet some place else that won’t lie to their customers, I wouldn’t be surprised if this place goes out of business soon based on all the other poor reviews.

Staff was very friendly, great selection of yummy treats. BUT WORST EXPERIENCES EVER WITH GROOMING.
1. I payed over 100.00 to have a dog that was still wet in places.
2. I asked to have a sanitary shave. My seven year old could have done a better job. She shaved half of his tummy and that it! And its patchy.
3. I pointed out the mats under his armpits they where still there.
4. I have an aussie and asked for his back leg hair to be cleaned up and shortened alot, so he doesn't get stuck so much in the Bush.she took mabe an inch off. His hair is about 7 inches long and is still about 6 inches long!
5. I dont mind so much that they had him for 3 hrs but i have to ask my self.what did she do over those three hrs?
6. My dog has been to groomers before and they say he is big but good to work with. I recently moved so thought I would try this one Save your self 60 bucks and go to pet smart. Same quality of work.

Great groomers, always goid with my Golden Doodle even as she's getting older. Good selection for dog food & treats.

My daughter's dog, we got the face trimmed and a pawdicure. All good I guess as I have not been to other places to compare this to.

These guys are great. Very flexible at getting you in. The gentleman who works there was great with my puppy competitive prices. Definitely going back.

I wish I could give less than one star, the lack of concern from the groomer that clipped my dog and the owners pitiful response have left me shocked. My senior Maltichon came home covered in razor burn and cuts in areas that a razor shouldn't have even gone near. We paid $120, the highest I have ever paid for a cut, because the groomer said he was severely matted. I brush him so that his hair stays mat free and I mentioned this to her prior. I sent an email which was ignored until we called the store. The owner replied to my email essentially blaming my dog for being white and making him more prone to razor burn. He has never in all the years I've had him groomed come home with razor burn of any kind. I sent a second email and have received no response. I have never dealt with this level of horrendous customer service. Save your dog the discomfort and bring them somewhere else.
