I recently had the opportunity to visit Basil Box, and it was an absolutely delightful experience, largely thanks to the outstanding service provided by Chris. His welcoming approach and friendly attitude made a great first impression. Chris's in-depth knowledge of Basil Box's offerings was immediately apparent. He took the time to educate me on their promotions, explaining the details in a way that was both informative and easy to understand. This educational aspect of my visit was incredibly helpful and enhanced my decision-making process. What stood out most was Chris's dedication to ensuring I received the best possible deals. He carefully walked me through the current promotions, helping me take full advantage of them. This not only resulted in significant savings but also added to the overall positive experience. The level of professionalism and genuine care Chris exhibited is a true asset to Basil Box. It's refreshing to see such dedication to customer satisfaction. The food is absolutely delicious. It's gluten free and dairy free which is amazing if you have food allergies. Highly recommend.

Service quality and taste are not as good. Just a small average place. But they are trying to be slightly different. I didn't like the gravy or sauces they have, no taste and very less choice. Not much of options, though they try to do their best. They have a nice fire oven baked pizza place and freshii next door. So you can get a bit of something from all the places.

Ordered the basil chicken with rice! It was like everything was warmed up and slapped on the rice! The fried onions were like eating rubber! Inedible! The chicken also was chewy and tasteless. Total waste of money. Will not be eating here again!

The lemongrass bao bun we tried was good.
The tapsilog was not tasty at all. I had high hopes for the latter as it was rice, egg, and meat - it should be hard to mess up. I took one bite and didn't take more.

The girl who took my order looked absolutely miserable on a Saturday morning. Hope she's alright.

The Staff and service is Friendly and welcoming. I am writing this review due to the lack of portion and unnecessary price change. Basil box before when they had the bowl style serving. But now they have this miniature size box style that it's like 1 inch height it was miniscule compared to what they had before. Supervisor inform me that their portion did not change but they changed the design of the box. In my opinion they raised the price and decrease the portion. About the basil chicken on rice and to be honest it felt like a snack size. And I spent $15. If you want a generous size and reasonable price, you should go to bamiyan kebab. Is the last time I'll be going to Basil box again.

Food is great, customizable to your preferences and healthy. Chris the store manager is also a pleasure to be served by. Thank you Chris:)

Great portions and the box was delicious! I requested them to do half greens and half noodles in the notes on UberEats and they accommodated my request.

Their new menu is absolutely fantastic! So much flavour and comfort! Love their portions size and quality of their food! Coconut Chicken Curry and make it your own box is our go to…

One of our favourite quick meals. I love the choice and way you can personalize your bowl.

Overall I had a great experience ordering there.

The way to order food is to choose ingredients, or they have their signature meal to call. All of the elements look fresh and smell good.
I chose rice noodles as the base; the taste was okay, just a little bit dry at the end. My colleague ordered brown rice, and she said it was very delicious! I will try it next time.
I love their chicken, which is well-seasoned and tender.
The service was significant, and the staff was very patient.

The food I ordered stir fry chicken has a lot of flavours but it could have been better if I tasted more meat in there than green bell peppers. My son thinks the garlic rice is little sour for his taste. Though everyone liked the fried chicken with all the dipping sauces on the sides. Overall, it could still improve it’s quality given there’s a lot of competition around the area that will give you more for less.

I make the trip to this location as I’ve always had issues with Square 1. Staff is friendly, and this location is always stocked in all of their ingredients.

Absolutely love that I can rely on them for a lunch or dinner option as my husband and I are both gluten and dairy free and with how delicious the ingredients are, I always feel great and never bloated.

The food is very tasty! There is a bit of a wait if you don't "Build your own box. " So if it's lunch hour, plan ahead of time. The staff is very friendly.

Taste was pretty good but I have to give it 3 stars simply because of portions. I went to pick up dinner for me and my partner. We ordered a chicken bowl and beef bowl. It’s healthy, ingredients tasted fresh for the most part - rice was on the dry-end though. For the price you don’t get a good portion size for dinner. Seemed like something we would be maybe satisfied with for lunch definitely not for dinner. For that we are disappointed. We ordered a pizza shortly after.

I didn't enjoy the food. There's something missing, either barely any sauce, barely any flavor/salt.overcooked rice & noodles.usually that's not an issue with Thai type of food so I'm a bit disappointed.

This location is my favorite in the Mississauga/Oakville locations.

Great food, great service and an overall great atmosphere.

It's a bit out of the way for me but whenever I want Basil Box this is the location I go to!

I’ve been a weekly customer here since September. Amazing staff. You can tell they are passionate about what they do. I’m not sure how they don’t get stressed when there is a line up, because I do. But they never crack under pressure. I think they are lead by Chris. He’s really knowledgeable about the menu and the food and great with the customers along with the rest of the staff. I love that they make my chicken pad Thai fresh for me. It’s always so tasty. The owner of this basil box should be very very happy with this staff. I love going here.

I know everyone makes mistakes here and there. But I drove 35 mins to eat here and I'm a little annoyed because the shrimp was overcooked pretty bad. I hope this is the only time I'm not satisfied with the food/service every other time it was great and I really hope it doesn't happen again.

Chris (the manager) saved my dinner party. He really listened to my issue and found a solution for me. The food is flavorful and it's made fast. Their service is also marvelous.

Pretty disappointed! Was looking for a healthy option and thought I would give this a try but I wish I didn't get it. Got the pad Thai and it had no flavor, to much salt and tasted nothing like Pad Thai. The spring rolls were more doughy not really filled with much and again no flavor! For $20 for one person I expected it to be alot better. I will not be going back. I rather take the time to make it at home and it will take more like Thai then what I just had.

The service I received today (Thursday, November 11th) was fantastic, the lady was super helpful, I'm so sorry I didn't get her name, but since the moment we got in she greeted us and asked if we needed any help, when we said it was our first time she was so patient and explained everything very well.

She had such a great energy and was so helpful that I am so looking forward to go back, my husband and I were both so tired after a long day of running errands and once we left the restaurant we both left with smiles and said: this is the best service we've had.

The food was good, the regular box is well enough for 2 people, I definitely have leftovers.

We both created our own boxes, the beef was made to order (not sure if it was because they had just run out or if it's always the case) but it was nice, she said it might take 5-7 mins but took less than that. We will be back soon to try more.

Tasteless and bland, this place advertises authenticity but there's nothing authentic about the food.

This place has a major fruit fly problem. Not sure why they can’t do something about that. Usually they are laying eggs in sinks so maybe they are not cleaning properly the drainage holes (?)

I like the way you can build your own bowl or order something to be made infront of you! Really yummy coconut curry! The pad thai could've been spicier but it was yummy either way.

So many delicious choices! My favourites so far are the coconut curry tofu box, and the satay mac & cheese with braised beef - but everything else I've tried has been soooo good too. Great eco-friendly packaging too.

I was in the area so I stopped by for a meal. I've eaten at the Square One location many times and I have also ordered from the Yonge-Dundas location on a few occasions. Unfortunately the ingredients at this location didn't taste quite as fresh. I will acknowledge that this was after the first Covid lockdown ended and so quality could have been impacted during that time. I would gladly still come back when I am in the area again and hopefully I'll be proven incorrect.

The most healthy & delicious flavorsome meal in a while. Staff is so so courteous & genuinely concerned. Must visit, again & again.

This place is so good i went with my family and they even allowed to dine in. Eve tho we had a baby with us who made a little mess while eating, the workers attitude was still very good and he was humble. I don't remember the workers' name but i highly recommend this place. Might visit again this week. Highly recommended

Wow, what an amazing meal I had, I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and the fried chicken on uberEats. It was packed nicely, tasted amazing, it was so fresh and also the portion size was pretty good, it might seem a lil pricey but its all worth it because its so tasty.

It was our first take out. Had good experience. People were nice and helpful. Will recommend it

This is the goods right here. If you're on a diet, trying to eat healthier or just really like tasty food this is the spot. Food is great, a little pricey but you certainly get your moneys worth and the employee I dealt with was great too. Definitely recommend this spot.

Basically a Thai/Viet Chipotle but not as tasty. Newly opened a few weeks ago beside Best Buy. The food is good, freshly made, and well laid out in front of you like Chipotle with a straight forward menu design, but I found it lacking in flavour vs.the Thai/Vietnamese food we're used to at those non-chain establishments at comparable prices. I wouldn't say this is cheap for fast food, although it is trying to exude a healthier fast food vibe. The place is new and expectedly clean and modern with pleasant decor with lots of glass and natural lighting. Friendly staff. I probably wouldn't go back and would choose the Chipotle around the corner, or some of the other Thai/Viet places within a 5 min drive.

The food quality is amazing and the ingredients work very well together! I just wished that they had more options to choose from.

In loveeeee with their food. The quality is absolutely amazing. I actually ordered the wrong thing. I am vegan and accidentally ordered meat as my protein. I went back to explain them and they were so nice and gave me a new box with extra tofu. Would 10/10 recommend this place.

Basil Box has really fresh vegan and "meatatarian" options to satisfy all cravings. They tend to serve food catering to health conscious folks with an emphasis on flavor via their various choices of sauces. Similar to Freshii, their staff is friendly and the vibe is vibrant. Give this place a shot for your next healthy fix!

How stoned was the person that wrote your food descriptions on skip the dishes? Pure young thai coconut water? Flow water - gluten free, dairy free, vegan? Stop this.

Great flavours and a lot of "replayability" to use a gaming review term. Healthy choices, modern atmosphere. I will go back.

Nice to get an option like this in Oakville where fast and fresh/healthy options are limited.

I wish they would make pre-arranged combinations to make things easier to order or for inspiration.

Warning: the spicy sauce is super spicy.

Food is very consistent within locations. Almost always order the same food and is always good. Love their ropings and the pickle veggies. Their sauces are also very tasty. Their portions are satisfying. I’m happy that this location is closer to me.

We have gone a few times now to this location and we have both really enjoyed it.

Another reviewer complained about the price not being shown; and I'll admit that I didn't see it right away either. I just asked and they pointed it out to me. (I'm not sure why the other guy didn't just ask as well).

The staff were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Because I'd never been before, I asked for their recommendations. They let me split my protein half of one and half of another. And the sauce mix they suggested was peanut and chili lime I think. It was very tasty. Also, fresh chilis give a nice kick.

IMO, the portions are a good size. I think that any more than what they served me would've been too much. It is a good balance of protein, carb, and veggies. If I wanted more of anything, it would probably be veggies (and i'm sure they would add more if I asked).

As well, even though it's an assembly line, you can see they are regularly cooking and prepping new batches to keep the food in the line fresh. (Ie - no old meat or veg)

I highly recommend this place for the good, simple and wholesome food; the friendly and quick service; and the ambiance of the space.

This is a place where you can build your own “box”. Delicious, fast, healthy, and flavorful. My favorite is the Penang Curry sauce (spice level: 4 sniffles out of 5). I also love the lemongrass chicken and the variety of toppings.

Service: nice, clean, and friendly. They also let me sample the sauces so I could choose the best option.

Take-out, dine in, order through the app.

Been here three times in February. The food and service is just excellent. I wish there were more seating as the place gets pretty pact during the lunch rush.

So YUMMY! Great service and clean spot! All ingredients are fresh and nothing spilled onto each other. The sauces are so good. Loved the curry mixed with peanut sauce, and the tamarind sauce too. Definitely a repeat!

Love Basil Box! So glad that they opened this location. Always delicious, but they lost a star because the portions are not as generous as the Square One location, especially with the sauce. Although I know that they are portioned scoops, I didn’t find this place comparable to square one which is the location I usually eat at.

Clean and bright location, you can go in, eat your meal, and walk out without smelling like you spent a day in their kitchen. Food is delicious, prep is also very clean and organized. But the service is by far the best I've had in any take-out/dine-in/fast food restaurant. I wish I got the young lady's name, but she was very welcoming and accommodating, as well as thorough when she learned it was my first time. I'll be sure to get her name next time, Great experience!

Food is amazing and the sustainable option for the boxes is outstanding. Great service.
Highly recommend it.
Just need to get sustainable cutlery.
