I have never see such a huge outdoor store like this one. Totally not a store, feel like I’m walking into a forest with their outstanding interior. Highly recommend to those who camping or outdoor activities. Since, I’m too old for such adventure activities but I’m so fascinating with all their boats displayed in store. It’s so cheap, why our fugitive Jlow spend millions for a yacht? Btw, no one looking for him and family in this country
2 hour drive to stand in line for 25 min at the gun counter just to be ignored. I’m 6.1 230lbs but apparently I’m invisible. Called the manager while standing in line and he was dismissive, at least I know where his staff get their work ethic from. If you’re planning on shopping here pack a lunch and download a movie first
If you are looking for camping gears and outdoor gear, it's the best place for you to look it's perfect, and it has all that we need for camping and outdoors.
I have been multiple times and will come back many more despite it being a bit of a drive to get to.
That said, the staff are hit and miss. Stephen in hunting has been amazing to deal with on several occasions, going above and beyond what I'd expect, but some of the other staff are rough around the edged and have made it a negative experience, which is why this is a 4 star review.
Prices are great if you find a sale and the atmosphere in the place is worth a visit even if you don't buy anything.
Basically, if you need something for the outdoors, this is a great place to go, just be sure to find one of the more helpful staff if you have questions.
Come on, what is there to say. It's a Bass Pro Shop! It is the mecca of all things outdoors. If you do anything outside you need to shop here. If you don't go outside.well that a whole other problem. Start by going outside and touching grass!
Waited over an hour at the hunting counter to buy a case of ammo to no avail & it's the only spot in the store where you purchase it. Even had a # as per their instructions, waiting patiently in line to see employees walk out of behind the counter to help others.
Excellent store, staff was super friendly and helpful. Lots of new things to look at. If you like the outdoors this is the place to go for all your outdoor needs from hunting, camping, fishing etc. They have it all.
This place is awesome. The staff take great care of the inventory. People mess up the shelves all day and you couldn't tell. I watched an employee take huge initiative to clean up puke in one of the isles after some slob yaked and didn't tell anyone. Big respect to that young man, he must value his position and Bass Pro likely values him too. The men behind the gun counter are amazing as well. They are professional and knowledgeable. They are passionate about their product line and take pride in their work. Bass Pro has a really amazing culture and its very appreciated. Thanks!
Very dissatisfied. I went in to buy airgun pellets, which understandably are kept locked away. After 10 minutes of trying unsuccessfully to attract the attention of a staff member to assist me, I left. I can get better service at Cabelas in Barrie, or at a Canadian Tire. This was at around 1pm on a Thursday afternoon - not exactly a high traffic time.
Is it a store or a log cabin? Who cares it's great! Not only can you find good deals at times it's fun for the family. My fiancé was in his glory here. Instead of getting bored & annoyed with looking at his hunting stuff the kids & I played an arcade target practice, watched the fish in the giant aquarium, and sat by the fireplace.
I would like to thank Brandon for bringing me a mobility scooter to the mall Customer service and walking back to bass pro and I would also like to thank the assistant manager on duty to authorize such service. Bass pro must be proud to have such employees whom put customers needs ahead of their duties.
Its such a big store with so much to offer but for some reason never has what I'm looking for and always has the more expensive version of the deal I read in the flyers (hunting boots in this case) so spent mich more than anticipated. But alas its like toys R us for adults
Had a great experience with archery shop expert Rocky at Vaughan store the other day. She was an absolute expert and freely shared her vast experience with us. When we got there, there was already a lineup waiting to be served by her (now I know why). We needed help with adjustments to compound bow and recommendations for arrows and broadheads. Before recommending arrows, she took us back to basics by first measuring arm span, then rechecking bow draw weight. She adjusted draw weight for us, checked and realigned the arrow rest. She installed and aligned the peep sight. After all this, then she cut the selected arrows to size, and then watched our form when drawing back on the adjusted bow. We will never go anywhere else for advise or supplies for our bow hunting needs. We will always call ahead to make sure Rocky is working that day before going to Bass Pro.
I came here a few years ago with my grandmother to buy binoculars and the employees were really helpful at first… but then just left us hanging? Once we picked out which ones we wanted the guy put them down on the other side of the till or whatever and started helping other people right in front of us - while we were standing there waiting. Waited 25 minutes before I was able to flagged down another employee to just hand over the box. I’ve seen some posts of people feeling racially discriminated against and maybe that’s why we were treated that way? My grandmother is visibly native and I was helping her as her translator.
Love your store but why do I have to pay for my purchase in the return lane when using my status card. It feels like your centering me out because I'm native
The absolute worst customer service. Specifically in the hunting section. Insane wait times while help stands around mostly chatting. Frustrated always when shopping there.
This place is one of the best features of Vaughn Mills! Huge store that sells everything but the kitchen sink! I love this place and would live here if I could. The employees are amazing, the store is packed with all the delightful adult toys you could ever want (Dune buggies, boats, archery equipment, hunting gear etc) (never said they were all SAFE toys. Just adult toys) and amazing clothing for the hunter and non-hunter alike. I always go to the fish to watch them swim. Big Catfish blew my mind first time I saw it!
Minoo was an amazing help getting shoes and Sandals she exceeded all expectations for help; having driven hours to come to the store… it left a 5 star impression.
I’ll be buying everything from bass pro that’s outdoor related and will be coming again and again.
Horrible service, took 2 months to get my order after calling them 10+ times, and when I went to pick it up I had to wait an hour for two teenagers to look through a warehouse to find it
Lot of good reviews here pertaining to the size of the store, the large selection of inventory and the novelty of the overall experience. Absolutely god awful service though. Before Covid, workers would ignore me when I asked for help with items, folks working here have all kinds of attitude as in any question about fishing, hunting, firearms or just general advice was met with dismay. There’s no semblance of a personal experience either it really feels like the workers want to spend minimal time helping customers. Some kind of “professionals”. I’ve had better help from a dollar store employee regarding fishing than any interaction with a bass pro employee. Even during covid I’ve make a curb side order just to show up and have my calls sent to voicemail and never received my products. I’ve shopped at this store for years and each time I regret it, real shame
You know, I never usually post bad reviews but this is ABSOLUTELY DESERVING. I went into the store to buy a kayak. The kid inside was fantastic, but their system due to COVID is an absolute joke. I literally had the object I intended to purchase infront of me. I had my hands on it infact. Rather than just carrying it out like any normal store they sent me around the back to the "Customer Pickup" section. This is where the joke begins. I stood in like for over an hour waiting for something I literally JUST had in my hands.in the rain. The warehouse staff seemed like they had ABSOLUTELY no clue what they were doing. Their system is a complete joke, they asked the customers in line multiple times what their orders were, the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing and I personally will not return. If I could give this review 0 stars I would.
Great selection of fishing gear. Not a hunter so I can't comment. Camping stuff is ok, but not as good as Sail imo. Tons of parking and Vaughan Mills is just outside the door. Kids love the giant fish tank!
Never bought a single thing here, but the place is a great - it almost feels more like a museum than a store. Heck, you could just stare at the panoramas of mountains and goats on the wall and you wouldn't get bored, and that is not even counting all the other oddities they have displayed around the place. It is large too, so you could spend quite some time looking around.even if you are not looking to buy anything gear here, I highly recommend one to check this "store" out - it truly is a museum-like experience.
The store was good. The web site sucks. Keeps telling me to narrow my search. Down to 1 word and still keeps telling me to narrow down my search. Reallly?
Great selection of underarmour gear, boots, socks, hunting supplies, fishing equipment, great selection of firearms and ammunition. Great section for paintings and pictures with lazy boys to take a load off your feet. Staff knowledgeable and courteous. Cabela's is affiliated to Bass Pro. Fun store with the airplane and taxidermy animals on display. They seem to have a good selection of boats and ATVs and a lot of great clothing. My favourite store is a must stop when visiting Vaughan Mills Mall. This covid ruins the experience for now.
Love it.has everything you need from fishing gears to tshirt, mugs and bbq to smoke, guns and knives as well as hunting boots and jackets also candy! Lol
As a mother like me, you need to think also for entertainment for your baby while you're buying stuffs. I am glad that there's amazing shop here at Vaughan Mills. She loves the surrounding, with lots of variety. They preserve the real animals and I thankful because I can show it to my baby.
I love to shop at Bass Pro Shops for camping bearings, as they usually have a wide selection of products to choose from. They also do a great job displaying products and providing help as needed.
Quite the experience.for a person that hunts, fishes, camps or just likes the outdoors this store will not disapoint. Clothes of high quality for the serious outdoors person or the weekend backyard person. Take your time to enjoy all the store offers.well worth a visit.
I found the staff was over worked and under staffed. Waited for over 40 minutes before I got help.and even then it was a one liner from the staff member.no one seemed to be interested in taking there time. I was one of the first of many that shopped at Bass Pro when it first opened It's very sad that the service has gone down hill.
Wonderful, super and excellent, I've never seen any store like this. So beautiful and nice design, i love it, i took many good pictures and I really enjoyed this. And absolutely I've planned to go back and see many new things here so trust me and visit this beautiful place
I shop mainly in the firearms section. And they have good prices and friendly and knowledgable staff. They only sell nonrestricted firearms which is the only downfall for me. But the product and service quality is efficient.
I don't buy anything here really but I like visiting this store every now and then! It has a cool atmosphere and the way they did it all up is fun for kids!
Good. Busy but helpful staff. Customer asked my son about a product purchase as a present to her husband. No staff around. My son being helpful & knowledgable & experienced with that product made several suggestions towards the purchase. We met again at the cashiers and all of my sons suggestions were purchased. A $200.00+ sale.
I could spend hours in here and be content. Great selection of rifles and shotguns, archery equipment, camping and hunting supplies, everything you need for camp or cottage life. It is a very enjoyable store with lots of stuffed and mounted animals, great decor, and large fish tank. Great quality, everything from camp mugs to ATVs
Website only for USA customers Lots of product LEM company been removed from shelves and not been replaced by another supplier Poor selection Usedless store, shame on management
Whatever you want, if its fishing or hunting related, they have it, knowledgeable staff make this a very positive shopping experience, lots of gear, apparel and boats too, this is the go-to place
Came to buy fishing equipment for a gift. Burj from the fishing department was a great help. Very friendly, knowledgeable and great customer service. He was helping myself and other customers same time and he is great at multitasking. Hope he receives recognition he deserves. Overall great store with very very large selection of outdoor needs, could truly spend hours in there.
This place has what you're looking for when it comes to hunting and fishing. If you keep your eyes on the gun shop you could get great deals from time to time. I got a Savage. 223 with a scope mounted for about 479.00 plus tax. I've only had one bad experience there. They were holding a Muzzleloader for me but when I got there they had sold it. My back was against the wall and I really needed a black powder gun. I ended up spending a lot more on a better quality gun because their selection of in stock guns was limited at the time
Horrible customer service in the Gun dept. Employees make you feel like they're doing you a favour and not their job. Other depts are much better at this. New to skeet shooting and employee that helped me was terrible.
Will not shop again. SAIL is far better in terms of customer service.
Awesome place with lots of choice. However, if your buying a boat, please don't pay full board for the new models. The new boats that sit around for a year are just as good and 1/2 the price.
Good selection and very organized. Staff could be a bit welcoming however with the size of the store, one could spend hours browsing and making a wish list.
AMAZING! Who knew this store had so much to offer? So much more than just hunting and fishing gear. Their clothing is great quality and at a fair price. Great selection with lots of inventory.all sizes including PLUS sizes.
Great Selection, prices tend to be a bit higher at this location probably because its attached to the mall, super friendly staff who arn't out to make the sale just there to give you knowledge and advice
Yesterday evening I went to Bass Pro at Vaughan Mill, Vaughan Ontario. I had the worst customer experience thanks to an employee named Gary. I came ready to buy a shotgun yesterday evening. I was the only customer by the gun rack so I was even more excited to purchase a new firearm. After standing there for 5 minutes staring at the different guns I was finally greeted by Gary who was obviously doing everything in his power to ignore us and hoping we went away.
We were greeted by, “what do you want” From there it is was 10 minutes of an uncomfortable situation. From grilling my firearms license, to undermining my knowledge, all the way to moaning and groaning when I asked him to take a firearm off the rack so I could get a feel for it. Gary was highly irritated and was obviously not in the helping mood.
It wasn’t until Gary started dropping ignorant, sarcastic, and basic knowledge remarks at me that I realized me being young was the reason for this mistreatment. As a 22 year old, I have been around firearms for 10 years. That tied with my years in the Canadian Army, I would say I am pretty well versed on firearms. So when I ask a sales rep to see a second firearm that was a Remington and he tells me “its the same as the moss berg” and not let me see it, that is pretty damn insulting. The safeties are in different locations, the stock is different. This insulting false remarks went on for 5 minutes, then I decided to walk away. Needless to say I didn’t buy a shotgun because to get my hands on one, it was like pulling teeth.
Great store, great brands, excellent selection. Poor poor customer service in an area that is literally impossible, due to Canadian Laws to get a feel for on your own.
There just is no comparison. Beautiful store, amazing decorations the real outdoor feel. Great deals and awesome staff.product line ups are also very good but that's all preference. For the kids a day at this store would be so cool. See the fish tank close to the Fishing rods Kayaks and so much more. Well done.
Obviously based on staffing levels they couldn’t care less about their customers. During hunting season having a single guy working the archery department with 4 other people waiting. Having to wait for 45 mins to try and spend a $1000 is embarrassing
