BATL The Backyard Axe Throwing League

Amazing experience and such a fun time at BATL Axe Throwing. Our guide Lucas was awesome and I highly recommend booking your night with a coach. They help with your form to make sure your axe is thrown properly, and they really pump up the drama and excitement as they yell out the scores after each throw. The big "F" axe is also a huge highlight of the night! Great bar, great atmosphere, 5 stars!

Great night out with friends. Lucas was a great coach and kept things organized. Gave great tips to improve and kept this fun.

Went there with my work team event. We had a blast and the coaches there were very helpful and good sport. Drinks and snacks were good too. The boards were a little worn off which could be a little better. It's a great place to hangout with friends and colleagues.

Great and friendly atmosphere! Nate was super fun and informative and great at giving tips for optimal axe throwage! 10/10 would recommend!

First time throwing last night with some friends. Thanks coach Lucas for showing us the ropes, we had a great time.

Always a great time at BATL. The staff are SUPER helpful and supportive! Good for any experience level all staff have their different way of teaching so you are guaranteed to walk out a pro! Only down side it is pretty pricy for getting your rage out! However they were super accommodating when our group was late they let us stay as long as we wanted even though we only paid for the hour.

So much fun learning to axe throw in very safe and protocol-approved conditions. Thank so much to Nate for training us and to Ashley for guiding the process We will definitely be back for more laughs ️

Great service! My coach was super friendly. He doesn't speak much French, but he was trying. He also makes sure we understand the game and how to through the axe properly. The team was welcoming and caring.

Awesome staff! Had never been to BATL and when we walked in, it seemed they were short staffed but the friendly girl seemed like she was doing everything from serving drinks, signing in customers, checking vaccination info. Made us feel welcome and was a fun night!

Had an awesome time here. It was my first experience axe throwing, and our instructor Jenna took the time to explain everything clearly, she was patient and friendly. Skittles also took good care of us by checking in frequently. Would definitely go back again!

We tried this activity as a group on a stag party, it was a great way to start the evening. Our instructors (Lucas and Skittles) were excellent. It's harder than it looks but great fun and something you should be able to say you have done! Gary UK.

Piers was a wonderful instructor. Very patient as it was our first time throwing axes. Great sense of humor and super funny. We loved our night.

Came here for a birthday experience and it was so much fun! This was the first time for majority of the group, and our coach Lucas was so informative and helpful.

Props to Cameron and his colleagues that worked on November 1st around 4-6pm. What an absolute blast. I came with my company and even though I sucked, I had a great time. Absolute recommend. Tons of fun.

Thank you Piers and Jenna for an awesome experience! This was my first time going axe throwing and I think I may be hooked. I especially loved the way that Piers took the time to thoughtfully explain the rules and techniques of the game and really gave useful feedback. What a great coach!

This was our first experience with axe throwing. The staff were very good with the instruction and friendly! Jackie was terrific! We look forward to making it a regular thing!

Lucas and Jenna took the time to teach us first timers how to throw the axes. We had a blast having a friendly competition

A group of us decided to try this out as a fun birthday outing and it was so awesome! Nate was our coach and he fit right into our group, while providing lots of tips and feedback to help us along the way. Everything from checking in and ordering drinks to paying at the end was efficiently run while keeping all COVID protocols in place to minimize risk.
We will definitely be planning more events at this location and look forward to defending my title!

Omg, i had just the best time. All the coaches were very friendly and knowledgable, to the point i got multiple bullseyes on my first day ever throwing.
The food we had ordered from their partner was delicious.
I can't remember all the names (piers, i think jackie, and there was one more) but the coaches that helped my sister in law and i were simply incredible. 10/5 stars. Would recommend to everyone.

I've been involved in the league play, as well as attended the "open house" events in the past, but hadn't been there for walk in play.
My friend and I were looking for somthing fun to do on a Monday evening, that we could still maintain "social distance"
Lucky for us BATL had time slots avalable for throwing.
Loads of fun,
beer/wine is avalable.

Jackie was phenomenal! She was the best! Honestly I messed up my time reservation by 1 day and I put in the wrong day but showed up during what I thought was my timeslot anyways. Jackie was helpful and let us fix this during our time! So we were still able to go:) Very helpful in teaching us to throw (first time ever doing this) and very awesome! She made the experience great and we really recommend this place because it is super fun (you get to throw axes at walls how can this not be fun?). Thank you!

Amazing place. Went there for a work Xmas "party" this past xmas. The gm (who was the only one working), I forget her name: (was wonderful, very helpful and awesome!

Great family fun. We felt very safe with all the Covid protocols in place. Ashley and Jenna made us feel very welcome and provided great training and tips to get the most out of our time. Highly recommended

It was our first time there and we had a blast! We booked a small party group for Father's Day and had Keith as our coach. Keith was great and very patient and helpful, giving us lots of tips and support. Will definitely be going back again.

Super fun time out for a bachelor party group this past weekend. Coach Nate was awesome and very helpful and encouraging. Was very impressed with the facility and the technology that organized our rounds. Definitely recommended and hope to be back again sometime

Went for a bachelor party and had a blast. The coaches/refs (pierce and cap) were very high energy and kept everything fun and exciting. The fact they keep score and everyone can see it on a big screen makes even the non competitive players bring their A game.

I had an amazing time with my girl throwing axes. A great place to enjoy the time and they approved me even though i called last minute. Our coach was Aerock and this guy was AMAZING and kept us entertain with the challenge. He was cool and very observant to the details. I'm going back for sure! Keep up the great work!

FUN EXPERIENCE! Our host for the night Sean was great at teaching us how to throw an ax. He made the whole experience safe and exciting. Would highly recommend this for a night out with some friends.

Had a great time for a friend's birthday party. Our host Andy was great, helped coach everyone in the warm ups as well as while we were playing a mini tourney. Facilities are clean, music is good and the axes are sharp!

Great place for parties! The referees are always with you counting the point, which makes it even better when you had a few drinks in you system. Lucas our referee was very cool while maintaining a professional demeanor. I had a blast and will definitely come back. I recommend!

Didn't expect axe throwing is gonna be such a fun time. One of our hosts was just amazing. I believe he goes by name cappuccino. So good at his job, give him a raise!

Went here with friends for a girl's day out and was not disappointed. Shauna was an amazing coach and we all had a great time:)

Also a shout out to the lovely individual who was behind the bar. I don't quite remember their name but they had great hair
