Battle of Beaverdams Park

It used to be okay but, of late, it appears to have become a gathering place for all of the alcoholics and drug users in town. They gather here daily to partake of their chosen poison. They continue on until 3 or 4 in the morning, fighting, arguing, cursing loudly. Washrooms are open to the public but 100 feet is too far for these guys to walk. They urinate on the park bushes in plain view of seniors living in neighbouring residences and children passing through on their way to the adjacent elementary school. They seem to have trouble locating the garbage bin that's 10 feet from the tables they've commandeered. Whenever they leave a table their garbage stays behind. It's truly a sad development. This place is noteworthy only to make a note to avoid it.

Nice little park with a playground. It has a swing for wheelchairs as well. Recently updated the whole park.

We took the kids to the Canada day event today and right away we're stopped by security wanting to check our baby's bag with diapers. When I asked what he's searching for he looked at me with a nasty look at said 'knifes'. Like really? Your searching baby's bags for knifes? Why not say, we're looking for anything that shouldn't be at the park/ event. The security has bad attitude and should not be security. These are the 2 security at the playground entrance if anyone cares.

Definitely need more parking options. 2nd time attending a summer time event, good turn out!

A great local park with a new playground, free parking and picnic tables.
Washrooms are available during open hrs.
Market on Wednesday nights and varies bands and entertainment throughout the sumer.

Lovely place, quaint little market! We watched figure four there and it was a great venue

We loved the park. There is a lot of parking spaces and also a trail to walk.
