Do not come to this clinic. Although the staff are kind, my overall experience was terrible due to the doctor's behavior. I visited the clinic to get my blood test and X-ray done for my back, as I had a history of lumbar disc herniation. I also wanted to check if my kidneys were functioning properly.

When it was my turn, the doctor walked in without even greeting me, quickly glanced at my results, and dismissively told me that everything was fine. I was concerned because I had a kidney problem diagnosed in China, and I wanted to ensure there were no issues. Politely, I asked if I could see the reports since he barely spent any time reviewing them, and I wasn't sure if he had seen them at all. Unfortunately, the doctor was incredibly impatient and replied with an impatient tone, saying, 'I already told you that you have no problem. '

I still wanted to discuss my back issue and mentioned that I had lumbar disc herniation, which I had previously been diagnosed with in China. Without letting me finish my sentence, the doctor rudely said, 'Then go back to CHINA, ' repeating his words word by word, which I found incredibly offensive and disrespectful.

"GO BACK TO CHINA"

What makes this situation even more frustrating is that the doctor himself is Chinese, and I couldn't understand why he was being so condescending throughout the entire interaction. Even though he knew my English was not fluent enough to describe my issues adequately, he didn't bother to speak Chinese to me. Instead, he watched me struggle with a dictionary to communicate.

To my surprise, I later found out that this doctor could speak perfect Chinese, as he is from Hong Kong or Guangdong in China. It's disheartening to see such behavior from a medical professional.

Do not come here if you have ANY other options. I only did because the other walk-in clinic closest to me was randomly closed and I didn't want to go to emerg - and in hindsight the waiting times at Toronto General's notoriously busy emergency department would've been preferable to having to deal with Dr. Ramji. He's awful, and I don't say that lightly. He kept asking me questions without letting me finish a single sentence of my responses, he acted like my body was repulsive to him, and he misgendered me within my earshot despite knowing that I'm trans. (His nurse then tried to pretend that he hadn't misgendered me at all, but to her credit, she clearly told him he'd been in error after I politely brought it up to her.)

I agree with the other reviews that the receptionists are lovely, and I have had a good experience with another doctor at this clinic before (Dr. Al-Khaifi). But it is not worth the risk of getting Dr. Ramji.

Dr Calvin lei is the worst doctor u can ever see, so rude, not professional and don’t even communicate with patients properly. If u r visiting this hospital avoid this dr at any cost pls.

Dr Shipp is my family MD here and I've always been very happy with the care and the staff.

AVOID AT ALL COST. Dr spends less than 2 minutes with you. They are playing a numbers game to get you through the door but provide bad quality service.

Unresponsive staff. They barely answer the phone. I tried to reach them multiple times throughout the day from morning till evening and not once my call was answered.

How does this clinic consistently close to the public 5 hours before closing! The worst clinic in the downtown core by far!

Really wish this place had a water fountain or machine I could fill my bottle up when I come for urine samples rather than having to spend $ on water bottles from the pharmacy

- 'dr.calvin lei' seems to have narcissistic self obsessions, interacting with him for under 2 seconds/seeing how he treats any other human around him makes this clear.

- Their nurses are atrocious - I've met rude nurses, travelled & met rude medical personnel/it's not culture specific, but these ones take the cake.

Hope there are more doctors working here. Unfortunately, they don’t accept any new patients and appointments.

This clinic is the worst clinic that I've been to. Dr. Cassandra Shipp is by far the most greedy and uncaring physician that I've met. She met with me for less than 15 minutes (an industry standard).

She refused to book an appointment with me to review these test results, insisting that I should come during her walk in hours. This I can understand – the clinic is busy and she is unable to meet the demands of the clinic.

When I was notified that my tests had be received by her office I decided to go to a different clinic to review my results; however her office and the administration refused to send me a copy of my test results unless I payed a fee which I cannot afford.

I want to be clear – it is these physicians and clinics that are ruining Ontario's health care system. Physicians and clinic owners who want to line their own pockets with money. I'm so underwhelmed by the service I received.

I understand that people don't enjoy their work - but if you don't want to work as a health care professional please find another job. Family physicians are the gate keepers to health in this country - respect that role so that people can get the care they need.

The receptionists are very very unprofessional. If you want to wait for 2.5 hours and see doc for 2min, here is your best option.

The only place I can find after 4pm in downtown Toronto. The staffs are nice and pharmacist are quite responsitive

The doctors I saw were actually very nice, but I have to leave a bad review due to the front desk. They are rude and unhelpful. The person I spoke to on the phone would not book me an appointment because I didn’t have a family doctor but just the week before I was able to book an appointment? I don’t understand who changes the policy like that without any notice.

They lost my health card and when I call back to tell them I was never given my health card back from my appointment, she can’t find it in the lost and found. Proceeds to talk over me and interrupt me several times while I’m trying to ask questions. Terrible service.

I've been here twice for walk-in appointments. Once was for getting an X-ray for TB testing that went okay and I got the test after a virtual appointment. Second time because I had an orthopedic injury in my hand. I also got a virtual appointment where Dr. Lei just listened and without asking to see anything just said "you're probably okay just wear a splint and don't use your hand". 5 months after this advice, no improvement. As expected, I am having an in-person appointment with another Dr.

Called early afternoon if it would be an issue to come get my ankle checked out, or if I would need an appt. They said just to show up. Arrive at four to find out they’re closed because the doctor is gone… their hours say they’re open until 8. According to the person at the desk it’s common for the doctor to be gone that early. If this is the case, the hours should be updated, and at the very least communicate that when someone calls.

I was seen in the walk-in clinic by Dr Raphael Faraj today. He was very patient and compassionate. A very good doctor! Thank you!

Do not book any pre-natal appointment at this clinic. The whole process is tiresome. The doctor only visits on Friday and Monday and does not do telephone appointments. With a fixed appointment, she makes you wait for more than one hour and calls in person to discuss normal reports too. They don’t even check BP and weight for pre natal visits. No medicine refill is provided without meeting the doctor again. I had to have 4 appointments in 1 month during working hours and each took minimum 2 hours of work time.

The service in this clinic to schedule appointments with your own family doctor is terrible! I have been calling for days I have left tons of messages to see if someone can call me to schedule an appointment with my Doctor and nothing. Online you can’t schedule the appt with your own doctor is very hard to schedule the appointments unless you go there directly so If you live far or you moved get another clinic. I feel bad because I have no complaint as far as my Doctor but his staff or the booking system with him needs to improve.this is very frustrating specially when you are pregnant.

Terrible experience at this clinic - my walk-in doctor was extremely condescending, unprofessional, shaming, and did not care to assist me in any way. I walked away feeling more helpless than when I came in. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name (though I really wish I did for the sake of others), but I haven't been back since.

You would think the clinic that mistakenly cancelled appointments would take urgent initiative to resolve their own mistakes! NOT. I made appointments for X-ray and ultrasound around two weeks ago. I rushed from work to find out they are deleted! I can understand mistakes can happen BUT I don't understand nor appreciate lack of urgency to accommodate! Receptionists never apologized but more interested to see whom to blame. If anything I feel that they tried to delay the process by putting my paper at the end of the pile, even thus they saw how stressed I was, when I expressed I need to rush back to work. Your behaviour and actions were noticed and were unprofessional, hurtful, and disrespectful. The manager apologized and another staff was helpful. But it seems there is no protocol or urgency in actions in such situations, since after 45 min, when everyone before and after me left, I finally got called. Overall, the lack of urgency and compassion was appalling and stressful.

I had an appointment at the Cardiac Diagnostic with Elife Colak and due to some mishap was made to wait for an hour. Okay, things can go wrong I understand. But instead of acknowledging the error or taking any responsibility she tries to first blame me and then the receptionists. Throughout the exam she was rude and condescending. Aside from being extremely unprofessional, she is lacking basic manners and human decency.

Had an appointment with Calvin Lei, most incompetent doctor I've met. Said he would fax over my prescription, but when I got to my pharmacy, the pharmacist said he never got anything. I called the receptionist and they had me waiting around 45 mins just to tell me the doctor never prescribed my meds. Wasted my time for nothing.

I've been a patient here for years. Dr. Kara and most recently Dr Agarwal have been my Family Practice physicians. Due to my family history of Stoke, Heart Attack and diabetes, they regularly follow up with me to do blood-work, scans and renew my medications. I couldn't be more satisfied. Recently, in the midst of Covid, I had blood in my urine. Within two weeks I had all the tests, a referral to a Urologist, imaging, and a low-grade tumour removed. The followup from Dr Agarwal was prompt and appreciated. Thanks, folks.

Went for a post-surgical follow-up to see Dr. Neera Singal regarding the success of my cross-link surgery. Everything went well. A very good surgeon and doctor. Highly recommended!

It took me four times to see the doctor for stomach ache in 9 months, but I still feel pain. They don't give good medical or send you to specialists.

I've been going here for years and have had nothing short of great experiences every time. From visiting as a walk-in patient, to having more permanent attention from support staff, doctors, and specialists - most currently Dr. Agrawal and Dr. Lewis - the clinic has been instrumental in my health. With onsite labs and specialists, as well as access to other doctors at the surrounding hospitals - I will continue to look to them for care.

I had an abdominal pain that is why they refused to see me in person due to covid-19. Instead, they have scheduled a useless telephone appointment with the most unpleasant "doctor" ever, Dr. Agarwal.
I told him my symptoms and that my pain is almost gone but I still want to get an ultrasound done to see what is going on. He told me to go to the ER. I advised that it is not an emergency as I feel a lot better now (why do I have expose myself to Covid19 while waiting 8 hour to be seen by the doctor in ER and wasting resources if this is not an emergency?) and I am not able to do so, as I will not be in Toronto. He started to ask "you are leaving to do what", this is so unprofessional (even though my absence will be "essential"). Why your doctors thing that they have a right to ask people about not med related stuff? I patiently asked for the ultrasound once again, so I can have it done once I am here, he refused and told me that I should go to the hospital as he will not give me a referral. He was rude and unprofessional. PLEASE AVOID and do not waste your time waiting for the appointment with this "doctor".

Very awful clinic.no respect for patient confidentiality, i had to do my appointment over the phone in the waiting room where several other strangers could hear me.furthermore, i wasnt told that i would be doing that— i was just told to wait in the waiting room then got the call from the doctor saying this was the appointment.i was not comfortable disclosing that much personal info near so many people i didn’t know.

EDIT: i can’t reply to their response but notice how they didn’t address the fact that nobody told me i could take the phone call anywhere, and i wasn’t even told it would be over the phone, therefore forcing me to take it in the waiting room since i didn’t know that was going to happen at all.

Appreciate the duality of being able to choose whether I wanted to come see a doctor in person or through virtual consultations during this time.

I recently had a flu and I rushed to Lockwood clinic. The wait time was less and the specialist took great care of me. Highly recommended clinic.

I came to Lockwood Clinic for eye treatment. The doctor clearly explained about my eye problem. The staffs were professional, courteous and understanding.

Had an over the phone appointment at 1PM, they called 5 minutes early, only tried to get ahold of me once.

Tried calling their clinic, nobody answers and they provided no direct extension in the voicemail and told me to reschedule

There is an IDA pharmacy located on the same floor, directly across from the walk-in clinic. Extremely convenient to fill prescriptions after leaving the doc’s office.

I was having hearing issues for the past few months. So, I went to Lockwood clinic to get my ear tested. I must say the staffs were attentive and friendly.

This is definitely the right clinic that I would recommend to anyone. The doctor did a great job of understanding my knee pain and gave me physiotherapy treatments. Thank you.

Dr. Kara is the nicest human being! I have been going to him for years and never have had a bad experience with him. He is always kind and attentive.

Efficient appointment booking system made it easier to speak to a doctor during COVID-19. Virtual consultations worked well here.

Staff is too lazy to take calls, I have been trying to reach them during weekdays between 4pm - 7pm and I just got message that noone is here, please leave a message.

Dr Nevin did the initial on me years ago and then referred to others for my issues. Never met another doc like dr Nevin. Most incredible man ever. In I believe was his second year with MS. In a wheel chair doing what a doctor should do. Such an amazing man. When I left there it was with a better life ahead of me. Within hours I had totally changed from what I was when I went in. I was so amazed. Thank you to the staff and the doctors for their great hospitality.

Everyone treated me with kindess and compassion. Dr. Nevin helped me understand what was happening in my body. Im glad I was referred there

Dr. Amina Kara is judgemental, opinionated and talks down towards people and their professions. I had a terrible experience interacting with her and honestly would not suggest anyone visit this clinic simply based on her attitude. It's actually a sad practice, 100% would not recommend.

I have had excellent experiences with Dr. Daya but the negative reviews for Dr. Lei are spot-on. Highly recommend avoiding him as far as possible if you care about your health and your time.

I went in for a sinus infection but all he insisted on talking about was my period (?).

This clinic prescribed me with completely different medication from what I was suggested from the Toronto General hospital emergency service, as the former prescribed me with antibiotics and latter with simple spray. I get confused. So I went back to the general hospital, the doc who diagnosed me told me that I don’t need antibiotics.who should I trust.

I saw Dr. Daya. She is a Saint. I am very grateful to her. She would also be great with children. The clinic itself is friendly and efficient. Thank you again, Dr. Daya!

Walked in and was told it would be about 30 minute wait.one hour later and still another 30 mins to go.don't ask for estimated time because they have no idea and rather than just telling you so, they waste your time as if you have all day to spend waiting there.

DR. LEI — THE WORST DOCTOR EVER. I have never met a more rude and disrespectful human being, especially in the field of medicine and doctors. I was sitting in one of the rooms waiting for Dr. Brandin (He on the other hand, is very respectful and actually cares about figuring out what is wrong. 10/10 would recommend). I overheard the nurses saying one patient felt “uncomfortable” with Dr. Lei so I was moved to Dr. Lei’s room. Dr. Lei on the other hand, was extremely dismissive. I was experiencing persistent headaches the previous week and was told if they persisted to come back. Because of the headaches, I missed a quiz at school. Dr. Lei proceeded to insult me, insinuating that I am a liar and make poor decisions (because I didn’t take the medication prescribed). The thing was, they prescribed me Naproxen last time which is pretty much Aleve. I was taking over-the-counter medication for my headaches. I also stated that I was experiencing stomach aches but Dr. Lei didn’t even bother to ask me about that. He just accused me of wanting a doctors note because I was incapable to manage school. He asked me why I go to work and school if I can’t manage it. I started crying because I was extremely disturbed by his accusations. He was not fazed by it at all. After waiting 2 hours to be seen by a doctor, I was left extremely upset and felt violated. I wish I looked at some of the reviews before seeing him. It is a shame that doctors like Lei are still allowed to practice and really be ignorant of one’s personal issues. If you go DO NOT SEE DR. LEI! HE IS THE WORST HUMAN EVER.

Compared to other walk-in clinics in Toronto, this is by far one of the best for the simple reason that they offer appointment booking online. Over the past few times I’ve been there, I never had to wait more than 10-15 mins. The doctor will not prescribe antibiotics for everything and anything which I actually appreciate.

This is slower than ER. Go to an urgent care centre or ER. Urgent care usually are open day and late night.

If you come here, you’re fostering the worst practice in Canadian healthcare.

Appointments don’t mean anything! I’ve been to the clinic multiple times and it’s hit or miss. After sitting in the first of two waiting rooms for half an hour after my scheduled start time I was told they couldn’t provide me an expected time to see Dr Ramji because he’s busy and the people in front of me had been waiting over an hour. I tried explaining how appointments should work in a service industry, mainly that they should be on time if I’m paying full price, and they informed me “that’s not how doctor Ramji works”. Sad part is that if I was late or didn’t show up they confirmed they would have charge me! I need to find an alternative doctor. Someone who at least pretends to care about my issues and maybe values a bit of my time. With luck I will never need to return to see dr Ramji.

Just tried the online appointment system last night to book a time for this morning. Got a text msg confirmation as promised on the website and saw the doctor at the said time. Everything was very efficient. Pharmacy staff were very kind and knowledgeable too.

Saw a review about Dr. Lei on another website and it accurately represents my feeling: "Horrible. He was not helpful, and worse than that he was rude and insulting. I left feeling mistreated and extremely sad. "

For some reason, it’s not allowed for the husband to be with his wife during the ultrasound exam

I went in for a doctor's note because I was sick and I needed it for school. When I saw Dr. Kara, the doctor kept going in and out of my room to see other patients even though he started doing assessments on me; this occurred twice for about 15 minutes each time. I was kept waiting inside the room with partial assessments completed. I apologized for being impatient but the doctor said I should be thanking him that they were even open and taking patients for the long weekend. The entire visit has taken over an hour. Doctor was very rude and unprofessional, and two of the three nurses I interacted with tried to rush me out of the clinic even before my assessments were over. I would not recommend this clinic at all.

Doctor Dehghani was so rude to me, he almost waved his fist on my face and said I am wasting resources, I told him the previous doctor suggested me to do the check every 6 months so I came, then he asked me so loudly ‘who said that? Who said that? ’ He also marked on my report ‘do not need to check every time’ with heavily hitting the keyboard. So should I come to see the doctor until I really get cancer?

Conveyor belt medicine. Clinic could be better organized and staff attitudes improved for a better environment. Some of the staff forget that without the patient they would not have a job.
