In my over 25 years of wearing glasses, I have never had a pair of glasses break. In less than 3 months of having a pair of glasses from Bay College Optometric Centre, my new pair of frames broke. This was either because the frame was of poor quality (Tom Ford) or because my lenses were too thick for the frame since the break was in the upper corner of the frame. I immediately let them know as I rely on my glasses and needed them for an upcoming work trip. I was told that they could not be repaired and that because these frames were on sale at that time of purchase, they would likely not be able to replace them but would hold my glasses and let me know the next day as they knew time was a priority. I should also mention that at the time of purchase I was pushed to purchase the sale frames. I was having a hard time deciding between two and was told to buy these specific frames. I received an email the next day or so stating these glasses can’t be replaced and sent me 2 other frames which were not the same size, style or brand that they would offer for a cheaper cost. This was done via email. I responded asking if they could send a photo of stock similar to the existing ones and was told to come in to do so but at the time I was very sick and emailed back asking if they could please send photos due to me being sick and needing the glasses ASAP and never heard back. I followed up multiple times - this was their preferred method of contact and how they choose to contact you so I know this inbox is monitored. They were aware of the importance of my glasses and I can only assume because I did not choose a frame they were trying to get rid of, they decided to ignore me. I threw a lot of money down the drain choosing to purchase my glasses from here and I am now forced to go to another eye doctor to purchase yet another pair of glasses out of pocket. Horrible customer service and experience.
