I have several skin issues and - as a cancer survivor, I am concerned about melanoma. Receptionist told me there was no time to look at several issues; I should pick my top two.

Dr. Skotnicki Thank you for being the dedicated, thoughtful, and compassionate doctor that you are! I highly recommend Bay Dermatology Clinic. Wonderful experience.

Waited 10 months for appointment! Receptionists are great and helped me with parking but the female doctor there is very cold and uncaring as stated by others. She gave me less than 5 mins of her time and didnt even look at my issue or ask me any questions! Just said nothing I can do about it and told me to use apple cider vinegar and gave me a prescription. Unbelievable that they can charge ohip for service like this and get rich cause that's all this doc cares about

I was worried when I read the reviews. But just went. Fast and efficient and friendly. Couldn’t ask for more. Don’t worry.

Dr. Scotniki was kind and professional. Yes there was a bit of a wait but not long at all (under half an hour both times I went but it could be a lot worse with the dr shortages). Great service - the treatment went much better than expected and I am very happy with the results!

Horrible service, apathetic, lazy entitled staff and doctors. They give no notice about critical changes to care. They do not let you know in advance if you need an updated referral. The staff lack any form of empathy and their negligence is doing real harm to their patients. STAY AWAY.

I saw the negative reviews but I went because I was referred and it is hard to get appointments.the consultation was fine and I described my problem and Dr S told me to schedule another appointment for a removal on a weekend because I would probably "feel horrible and not want to go out for a while" afterwards.so I did that. I came back for the second appointment and this was a milia removal on my eyelid so she put numbing cream and left. I wasn't told to lean my head back or anything so it melted straight into my eye and I was in pain and couldn't do anything about it until she got back. Anyway, I was told at the consultation that she was going to use a cauterizing tool to perform the removal. This means that she burned the skin on my eye so a scab would form. HOWEVER, I was not told until AFTER she had done this that I would have to go home, wait until it scabbed, and pick it off and remove it myself! At least give patients the courtesy of knowing this beforehand or offering another appointment to come back and do it.i paid for it to be removed not burnt:/ I didnt have numbing cream or anything so it was painful and i didnt get the whole thing out.i had a very noticeable scar for at least a month, this was 5 months ago and there's still a scar just faded. Most procedures id researched and seen online just cut it out then and there, but she said the reason she did it this way was because it didn't leave scarring which just seems like a lazy excuse to me (the actual procedure took maybe 10 seconds), and frankly i feel like scarring is less likely with a surface level cut than a picked scab. But i guess it is pretty much removed:

I was a bit nervous after reading some reviews but I saw Dr. Scotnicki quite close to my appointment time and she was very friendly and professional.

The worst experience ever! It's an unfortunate that the Doctors are not experienced, knowledgeable and caring in this center! I saw 2 doctors in this clinic. On my first visit, the dermatologist (SHE) gave me a judgmental look and made me so uncomfortable. She also, didn't really care about giving a proper examination and was bothered when I insisted her to check my skin condition! She was in a rush and wanted me to leave ASAP! She was also very bothered to answer my questions! On my sec appointment which was a follow up, due to the unavailability of the first Doctor who I initially saw, another dermatologist spoke to me. HE prescribed me a medicine to be taken everyday for 6 month which I later found out would be very harmful and I really didn't need to take that medicine - I 'm glad I decided to have a third opinion in another clinic with another doctor who really cured me! - I think doctors in this clinic only would be happy if you are there to buy some sunscreen or do some beauty stuff! Otherwise, you are not welcomed!

Terrible service, conduct, and general knowledge. My skin actually got worse while I was a patient here, and yet no empathy or concern expressed. When my dermatologist was on leave the one who filled in didn't read my file or history, and suggested a course of treatment that had previously triggered an adverse reaction. They had me on antibiotics for over 3 months. Multiple times a year. For scarring, I was suggested chemical peels and lasers totalling over $1000. I consulted with two other dermatologists and technicians, and they informed me that that was far too harsh a treatment for mild-moderate scarring (? !). Since seeing other doctors, I have been undoing the harmful treatments I received here. I was seen by Dr. Salsberg.

0 starts for patient experience and professionalism. I had to wait 8 months to get an appointment followed by ~30min wait before the doctor could see me and finally when I did get a chance to chat with Dr. Beach she was in an absolute rush to get done. She didn't seem knowledgeable and I was very unhappy with the explanation I received.
I would not recommend this clinic!

Saw Sandy in December 2020 after skin flare-ups for 6 months. I'm an RN working in the OR (born with eczema). Thought my skin issues were due to food allergies, stress, workplace conditions (harsh chemical scrubs, uniform laundering, lead aprons/thyroid collars). My neck looked like I had 3rd degree burns. Itchiness was unbearable.
Sandy looked at me & said I was reacting to my shampoo & other products containing MI/MCI. I followed her product elimination diet immediately & within days looked & felt better.life was finally "normal" again!
I'm relieved & amazed that something so unbearable was so easily fixed! I'm using 8 products approved on Sandy's list & can't see any reason for reverting back to my old tried & true products.
I'm 1/2 way through her book "Beyond Soap" & am riveted! It's an amazing read!
For those who are upset with appointment delays, etc. I never experienced that & can only say, it is so worth the wait!

I have been seen regularly at the clinic for some years - for treatment of stubborn sun damage that originated in my care-free sun-drenched younger days a half century ago. I respect my doctor's process and opinion, and may I say results from prescribed treatments and meds. Appointments are made and recorded reliably. I am greeted in a friendly way when I come to the clinic. I generally need wait only a few minutes to be seen.
14 November 2020 15:46
Waiting area is small and hot and they make you wait forever. Reception is not friendly, not even saying hi and bye. I'd avoid it but family doctor sends there ‍️

Just finished an appointment here. I was reading the reviews while I was waiting for the doctor and I got really nervous. But none of the bad reviews were true to my own experience today. The wait time was just a few minutes. The receptionist, Marie, was pleasant and seem to be managing a lot on her own very well. It was busy but the seating areas were clearly marked off to enforce social distance and I was pretty quickly ushered into a treatment room anyway.

I got Dr. Levy. He addressed both of my concerns and offered me a treatment option today. It was a bit of a painful procedure but he was fast and professional. I thought his bedside manner was pretty great too.

In total, I was in and out in less than an hour and everybody I encountered in the office seems professional and courteous.

My experience with Dr. Skotnicki has been quite positive, and insightful. I appreciate her thoroughness, and direct approach with handling all my inquiries and Dermis issues. Excellent services! See you in a month!

Disgusting! Multiple people booked for the same time, crowded unsanitary waiting room, dirty. 25 minutes after my appointment was due she started calling the others in. There must be better somewhere. My Dr. Informed so as not to refer there anymore.

Saw Dr Cecchini, for about 2 minutes at best, after a 35 minute wait. He is young and typical for dermatologists these days- he barely looked at my skin, said I was fine and he had to go to another room for a *surgery*. My old dermatologist retired at 90, I wish he was still around. He was very thorough and did not do Botox and fillers etc, just pure medicine. I het this newcrop who are inot making money and little more.
26 August 2020 17:56
Dr. Cecchini permanently disfigured me and then stopped answering my calls. I am still dealing from the fallout of his poor choices. I am one of many patients that have been blown away by how bad he is at his job. He also called me the wrong name.twice in one appointment, and then gave me the wrong diagnosis and I had to correct him. If I had not known my results on my own I would have been treated for the wrong thing. I can no longer feel a large section of my body from him, and I would not be surprised if he ends up with a class action lawsuit after only working a little while. Maybe this was to be expected, he does after all, gloat about being a “rookie”. Stay away from this clinic! Don’t let this guy touch you. Also Bay Derm, fire him.

I've had a great experience with Dr. Cecchini at Bay Dermatology Clinic for some stubborn dermatology issues. My skin is looking and feeling 100X better since being under his care.

I never leave reviews, but I felt the need to warn people. Bay Dermatology has awful communication, Dr's who just don't care and rush you out, INCORRECT diagnosis after taking skin scrapings. The receptionist changed my appointment, and then after begging for sooner appointment, she sent me to a different doctor. Upon arrival, I waited for Dr. Cecchini who was shocked to see me and told me "he didnt really have time for me". Apparently the appointment wasn't officially booked.he gave me a rushed 5minute checkup and became sarcastic and "short" with me as I had many questions. He then took a skin scraping of my rash and sent me away. I complained over email and heard nothing back, no apology or follow up. Finally they sent me my biopsy with what has ended up being THE WRONG DIAGNOSIS. I've been treating my rashes incorrectly spending hundreds of $ and hurting my skin even more. I had a second opinion at a different clinic who confirmed it was not what Bay derm told me. Please do yourself a favour and go ANYWHERE ELSE. I would have saved 2 months treating my actual issue and saving hundreds of dollars.

Horrible customer service. Tried to call and email but no would answer after like days.so fusturating
06 May 2020 17:12
The administrative process at this clinic is poorly handled and requires better information flow/communication. I received a referral to this clinic from my family doctor and nobody from the clinic had phoned me to inform me of my appointment. When I hadn't heard back I had followed up with my family doctor who had provided me with their contact info. So I phoned the clinic and sure enough they had received the referral from my doctor and booked me an appointment - they just never thought to inform my family doctor or myself of the appointment.

I had to wait 5 months for my appointment and when I showed up - they had told me that the doctor I was scheduled to see was not in the office. The office claimed that an automated US number called me to inform me that the doctor was not around. I check my phone regularly and I recieved nothing in my voicemail about the cancellation. The clinic failed to take responsibility and acknowledge the shortcomings of a machine call, which to me is just bad customer service practice.

As I was leaving the clinic I did overhear one of the reception staff phoning a patient to cancel their appointment. So how they decide who gets a personal call versus automated call is beyond me. Also, the fact that they have an automated calling service to cancel appointments suggests to me that this is probably a frequent occurrence.

This clinic needs to review their process and improve their communication.

Appointments are never kept. I had an appointment months ago. It's been cancelled repeatedly (probably at least four times now) and pushed further back. Still haven't seen anyone. Today, it was cancelled again. I won't even bother rescheduling.
22 March 2020 23:51
Great doctors.however the wait is VERY long.
It takes a long time to schedule an appointment as they are very busy, and when you are waiting for your appointment time in the clinic, make sure to free yourself for the rest of the day.
Each time I had been there, I waited 40+ minutes to be seen although I had an appointment. From that perspective, they are unreliable. However, the doctors are great as I already mentioned.

I just saw Dr Jane Wu a few weeks ago and my experience was awesome.
Wait time was only 5-10 minutes and Dr Wu did not take long to figure out my problem. Dr Wu might look very young, but she's definitely experienced, as I'm healing by following her instruction. Probably the best Dermatologist in Toronto. Thank you for healing me Dr Wu

I am quite disappointed with my experience here with Dr. Johnathan Levy. I didn't mind waiting 3 months to get a booking, nor did I care to wait an extra 30min in the waiting room. The front desk staff was actually very pleasant.wish is why this review is getting any stars at all. But my most disappointing experience was with Dr. Levy. I've had eczema my whole life and I was referred to Dr. Levy through my Allergist. I asked Dr. Levy how I can change my lifestyle in terms of nutrition, foods, environmental exposures to better manage my eczema. And his response was that there is ABSOLUTELY no correlation in nutrition, foods, and anything I can change in my lifestyle that will better manage my eczema.

Now, I under that I cannot get rid of eczema. I was simply asking how to manage my eczema better. And apparently there is absolutely NOTHING I can do but to use the cortizone cream he prescribed me.

How can someone that has gone through so much education give such an answer. People who goes through so much suffering from skin disease come here to get answers because a dermatologist specializes skin conditions! There is ABSOLUTELY SOMETHING you can do to help manage eczema, my Allergist proved that and spent a good amount of time educating me on how to manage my skin and it HELPED TREMENDOUSLY.

Either Dr Levy has loss the passion for why he is in the profession of dermatology to help those who are suffering from skin conditions, or that his school did not teach anything about eczema management.however, I don't believe latter is true.

I've had eczema since the age of 7 and Dr. Beach was the first in a long line of dermatologists and doctors I had seen who actually took the time to examine each individual patch of eczema and prescribe different treatments for it. She was also able to identify a rare skin condition I'd had confused with eczema and was able to get rid of that as well. She cleared up my acne which had been confusing and stubborn for me, as I never had acne until I moved to Toronto. Finally, she is now helping me treat a scar left from the biopsy she did to identify the rare skin condition, free of charge, and has taken the time to explain to me what makes my (Asian) skin different. She has helped me gain a lot more confidence back in myself, and while it took a few months to see her, I could not recommend her more. And honestly - most doctors have wait times. Most doctors worth their salt would take their patients' concerns seriously. I'd rather have a doctor who runs late and gives me time too, than one who rushes everyone out the door ASAP.

I had a terrible experience with Dr Scotnicki; she wasn’t professional at all and might as well have been a secretary the day I saw her; no listening skills or compassion or bedside manner; she was recommended to me by my dr for my chronic itch which has kept me awake all night and has been occurring for weeks without reason; when I met the dr I started to explain my itch and she stopped me midsentance and said that she isn’t here in for me to explain my problem but to book my patch test; I then proceeded to ask her if I can show her my skin and I was trying to explain my problem and she interrupted me again and said “do you understand, I am only here to book your patch test” and not to see your skin or hear your issues. I was shocked! Was she a dr or an assistant? I was there to see a dr to explain my issues but she cut me right off and interested only in booking a patch test. What a waste of OHIP billing. She billed my OHIP without even listening to my symptoms or listening to any background. She was short and rude. I won’t be going back. I saw another dermatologist after that who diagnosed me and treated me on the first visit and was confused why Scotnicki couldn’t diagnose or treat me on the first visit. She is a lazy doctor and I am considering pursuing other avenues to make sure this doesn’t happen to another patient.
