Normally I would give place a good rating and I do make a habit of coming to this store but after today it’s going to be a while before I darken their doorstep again here’s why…
I mistakenly purchased an incorrect item at another home hardware while away camping. I tried returning this item here or maybe even just exchange it for the correct item.
Because this was from another store a supervisor was needed which I was ok with. The problem began when he refused my return or exchange because they (the store) has recently had problems with shady people doing returns and making money?

While I was waiting on the supervisor to come to the desk I overheard him insult another customer and cover it up jokingly.

Once at the desk and after my return was refused. He tried to see if they had a product that I could exchange for.
Once at the isle, he gave me the same insult as I had just heard with another customer again coving it up jokingly. Maybe he doesn’t realize he is doing this and is thinking he is just joking around with the customers, but this is totally unacceptable!

I was unsure the product he was showing me was going to work 100% so I declined the product because now I’m thinking I don’t want to have to go through this return hassle and be insulted again.
He told me I should just go to another store to get my refund?

The next issue was with the purchase that I was making that day. On Monday that week I went in and was looking for a certain product. They didn’t have it in stock but said they would order it in for me to pick up when it came in.
Fast forward I’m now at the store picking up the item. At the cash I ask for my senior’s discount the store offers. This same supervisor now declines my discount because it was a special order. I’m sorry don’t penalize me for you not having the product on your shelf and have to order it in!

So needless to say, it will be a while before I visit this store again if ever. After being insulted twice and refused the discount they offer has left a very bad taste in my mouth with this store.

Always very helpful and friendly staff. Ken always goes out of his way to get the products we need. Today he not only came threw with a large salt order that he had to transport from the Picton store but hooked us up with 2 dehumidifiers that we needed pretty quickly. Will always recommend Bayview Home Hardware.

This store is attractive, well stocked and has someone always available to assist in finding items. The online ordering is handy also.

Have everything that you would need in order to maintain your home. Paint tools piping elbows, sandpaper etc at reasonable prices.

Great hardware store. They've only been there for 2 yrs but we just found them. Gave us a great deal on planter boxes. Very nice people. We'll be back.

Always find what I needed and I really, really appreciate the staff. They are all knowledgeable and all take the time to help me and other customers. This is good, old fashioned service!

The service we received at this location was incredible. We had to disassemble the conversation set we ordered because it wouldn't fit into the car. And the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you.

Terrible service. On two separate occasions they’ve closed early. I placed a curb side pickup this morning and the man on the phone was deadpan, short, and unhelpful. I explained that I would get there close to close and last time they closed early. He said this would not be a problem if I was here before 5: 00. I wanted to pay so I wouldn’t have to come in but he was hard to communicate with. My wife and I had to leave work early to get there before close at 5: 00. We got there at 4: 50. Immediately we phoned and were on hold for two minutes before the phone was cutoff. We found a sign saying there was a drive through pickup on the south side of the store but we found no sign of it. By the time I got back to the door he was turning the “open” sign off. It was 4: 55 by this point. He very reluctantly opened the door and explained the cash was turned off. I said it was not yet 5: 00, we had been there for some time, had called, AND tried to follow misleading signs. He said there was nothing he could do. When I explained we left work early and live in the country he told me I’d have to come back. I told him this was the second time they’d closed early and he said there was nothing he could do. About a month ago the same thing happened. We were in town and it was 4: 50 and we were about five minutes away - could they set some mulch aside. They could but they were closing as it was 5: 00. We said it was 4: 50. She said no, her clock said 5: 00 and we would have to come back tomorrow. We said we live in the country and only come to town once per week. She said it was 5: 00 and they were closed. My understanding is that cell phones all display the same time so it was not our clock that was wrong. I don’t like having to leave work early to get to a store - especially a retail store that closes as everyone is getting off work. I don’t appreciate my trip into town being wasted. Will not be shopping here ever again.

I found the service at Home Hardware Bayview Mall exceptional. The person that cut four keys for me did an amazing job The staff is very friendly The minute I walked in I was ask if I needed help. I felt very safe in the store

The store has expanded since I was last there, and it's got so much more to offer now. It's nice to visit a local hardware store with 'neighbourly' staff offering sincere smiles and exceptional service! The big box stores can't even compare.

Always an awesome experience. It was great before and they have really kept things going during and after recent renovations If they don't have it, they'll order it great people, great service. Can't say enough about how much I appreciate this store.

They were extremely rude today they would not let me get my own stuff they had someone else grab it and then when I went to pay the one lady said go back over there by the door and when I said I have to pay she gave me the dirtiest look I have ever seen so when i pulled out bills the two ladies sighed really loud and said omg cash!

Excellent hardware store which carries a wide selection of items. Service is quick and friendly.
