Bayside Inn & Waterfront Suites

L stayed here in September and our room was the king size room with the jetted tub room was small and unfortunately the room does not over look the water like it says that it does on the website our jetted tub didn't work and the shape of our room well floors where not swept under the bed and the comforter was stained and didn't look to be changed half the light bulbs didn't work and remote had dead batteries to our TV
we went to the office on this matter but was told that there was no body in too a dress this matter too.and was told that they would have someone call me when someone was in which never happened the guy {Jack}that works there he is rude and verbally abusive was actually called a lier and told that the jetted tub was Indeed working properly and I didn't know how to use it properly he will keep telling you the owner Syde will have to call you back which he never returns your calls and lm still waiting for my refund for the jetted tub not being able to use as they did finely go check it out after a very long debate and noted that l was right that it did not work but with no apology.

I'D STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

I absolutely loved everything about this place, it felt like home away from home. It had a nice relaxing, romantic feel about it. The staff was super polite and didn't interfere or bother me during my stay. Two things they could add to make it absolutely perfect would be a ladder on the docks so guests could go swimming, and a fire pit. I'm already looking forward to my next stay.

I recently stayed here while in town on business. The water views are amazing, my room was very clean and the staff was amazing. Will be back again this place is a great location and also on the water

I paid C$310 for one night. No breakfast, the pictures on trip advisor don't match reality when it comes to lobby. The person at the lobby was super nice friendly, flexible and accommodating, she's the reason I'm giving a 3 star rating instead of 2 star. The room is clean from the inside but the it's pretty old. The outside of the room is clearly untouched, the spider webs and the amount of spiders is massive. The view is stunning though. All that would've been acceptable if I paid $150 max, but 300 for this level is quite a lot.

Un beau site sur le bord du lac, mais pas propre du tout. À notre arrivé, il y avait un gros ventilateur dans la chambre – qui ventilait quoi, on se le demandais. Les draps n’étaient pas propres, il y avait des mouches dans la chambre. Nous avons préféré perdre 200$ que de couché là. On se demandais à quoi on se serait réveillé dans la nuit. C’est clair que la propreté n’était pas une priorité pour ces propriétaires – la tranquillité non plus, car il y avait un groupe de personne sur le « party ». Ils ont même sortie les speakers sur le top du véhicule. Ça n’avait pas l’aire de déranger les propriétaires. À ne pas retourner!

A beautiful place on the lakeside, but not clean at all. When we arrived, there was a big fan in the room – which ventilated what, one wondered. The sheets were not clean; there were flies in the room. We preferred to lose $200 than to sleep there. We wondered what we would have woken up to in the night. It's clear that cleanliness was not a priority for these owners – tranquillity either, as there was a group of people at the "party. ” They even took out the speakers on the top of the car. It didn't appear to disturb the owners. Not to go back – for sure!

Beds were not made, soap open and used in the bathroom. Showed us a second room, only one bed for 2 adults and 2 kids.
They insisted on allowing 5 minutes to clean the messy room, the original room. How is a room not prepared by 830pm check-in? ! Absolutely disgusted. Don't let the pictures fool you!

If I could give no stars I would. As soon as I got there, there were nothing but issues. There was a new guy at the desk, and he was kind and tried resolving all the issues the owner caused. We booked 2 rooms and they were supposed to be $129. We got there and they only gave us 1 room, so the guy at the desk made sure to get us another room BUT we were charged 163 instead. The owner made me send him a $200 deposit which is okay, but refused to give it back due to a couple towels being stained AND asked for another $75, and told me he fired the new guy for not charging us another $200 deposit… how is that his fault when the owner was the one that asked for $200, not $400. Rooms are basically closets, and definitely not worth $163 plus $200 deposit. Stay away from this place. We were not the only ones who had problems with checking in, and our stay while we were there. 3 other guest had issues as well. Terrible experience.

Owners are really sweet and helpful. We were a group of 11 and they accommodated us really well!

So when driving at 2AM and needing a place, and everything else is packed, and other places are booked, and overbooked, and you call this place at 2AM, and they say they have a room for $40, and when you get there they raise it to $55, and they show you the room, and it looks nothing like the pretty photos on Yelp, and you're really tired, and you see a spider, and you're REALLY tired, and they are nice people even though they charged you $15 more than they told you on the phone, and you take the spider outside so that you can sleep, and you sleep.great.and you sleep even better once you realize they left a window opened, then you have to give the place 5 stars.

I walked around the next day. They are on pretty grounds, and it looks like they have a motel side, and a "suites" side; so, I was in the motel side.

There were more spiders in the bathroom, but I didn't have time to set them free, although it appeared that's what they wanted (you let the other guy out.let us out too please) Maybe next time, although I felt a little bad, but I figured they'd probably just somehow end up in the bathroom again

BUT if it's not 2AM, and I just want a nice place to stay, this place probably rates at 3/5 stars. It's decent, and there's places to eat walking distance from the "suites". The rooms were clean (except for a few benign spiders)

Have stayed there a few times over the years. Had to cancel a reservation because of a storm which made travel to Kingston dangerous. Phoned early morning to cancel but it was not 48 hours notice and they charged me full cost! The event I was attending was rescheduled - do you think I'll stay there again?

Great place to stay and super friendly staff. One of the nicest boutique waterfront hotels in the 1000island area.

A NIGHTMARE that we almost COULD NOT wake up from; requested a refund and ran as fast as we could.

Arriving at Bayside Inn, it appeared to be in the midst of major construction. While checking-in, we inquired about the safety parameters of hosting guests in an active construction zone and were promptly reassured that safety is ALWAYS their HIGHEST priority.

My Girlfriend and I picked up our keys and went to our room. As we shut the door behind us, the parking lot was still visible due to the absence of a door-frame. Our bathroom was HORRIFIC; the toilet was REVOLTING, there were dead CREATURES in the bathtub and permanent brown STAINS on the walls. The bedroom was worse. The linens appeared dirty but smelt of bleach. The ceiling was decorated with a myriad of holes, exposing the ceiling ventilation system and studs, each having a unique shape and diameter. Our entire room smelt of SPOILED east Indian food and MOLD.

We returned to the front desk to raise our concerns, to which we were told that our room ‘is one of their BEST’. In utter disbelief, we followed the front desk lady to the two other unoccupied rooms that were available. The bathtub of the first room was filled with 4-inches of murky brown water. The second room’s lighting did not work.

We asked for a REFUND and were told that it needed to be approved by the manager who was overseas. We waited patiently for 30 mins. The manager eventually approved our refund request insofar as there were no damages or stolen property. The lady at the front desk then went to our room, pulled the bed-skirt off the bed, and returned, claiming that our room had been ‘used’ and therefore cannot process our refund.

Frustrated, we referenced a series of FEDERAL HOTEL FIRE-SAFETY STATUES as well as HEALTH & SAFETY VIOLATIONS that were visible to the naked eye. We explained that if we were providing a service to which a customer was unsatisfied, we would apologize for the inconvenience and issue a refund.

Further, the Inn has an internal policy that states that ‘if a guest occupies the room for longer than one hour, they cannot be issued a refund’. We were led to believe that this policy was, in part, the reason why the front desk lady had been stalling profusely over the course of issuing our refund.

As soon as we got our refund, WE GOT THE HECK OUT OF THERE, AND DIDNT LOOK BACK.

DIRTY DISHONEST BUSINESS WITH NO REGARD FOR SANITATION OR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

It's a nice place. Although, parking is a little tight. A nice place for two people who are traveling. And need a lay over for a night or two.

A wonderful place with wonderful staff: warm and friendly. The room was clean and well air conditioned, the breakfast buffet was great with freshly baked croissants and pancakes (and scrambled eggs, etc.) every morning. Opposite on the road, there is a laundrette and a gas station where you can by the washing for the machines: very handy! Lovely scenery at the lake. A great place to stay! Izra and her father.

So at first glance, you are getting what you pay for. 89$ for a clean room with a kitchenette, while in need of a makeover, is a good bargain.

I was going to give this 3/5 stars because it is a good deal, not great or excellent but good.

However, they have the single fastest internet speed I have ever used in a hotel, period and they served a hot breakfast that I got to eat outside while looking at the water.

I am writing this review extremely well rested too.

It was just awful, the room was full of mosquitos. We called room service couple of time and they said they would come, but didn’t. The manager was very nice and the wire is very nice, but it’s just very nasty the hotel

Old and in need of a facelift. Not well maintained. Our ground level suite was like being in a cavern and smelled musty. Not recommended.

Came into a room which had a garbage bag full of trash. They didn't change the bedsheets from the previous stay. The room is literally infested with mosquitos. Trains would honk every half an hour or so. What a horrendous experience. On top of that the room was like 270 dollars!

It was a last minute trip and unfortunately we had no other options.

Coffee pot had old coffee and mold floating on top. Floor was dirty -soles of bare feet were black in a few minutes.
Just nowhere worth the $160 all in.

While touring the Saint Lawrence found this hotel on Bath Road west of Kingston. Every 20 minutes like clockwork a train would go by blasting his horn at the level crossing. Not to mention the hotel is in line with the Kingston airport and planes would fly over screaming their engines. Rooms were way overpriced. Waterfront was terrible no dock no swimming no fishing way to weedy. Rooms were not that clean. Other than that the bed was reasonably comfortable.

Ziemlich runtergekommen, ist zwar nah am Wasser aber ohne echten Seeblick. Staff ist freundlich, scheint eine komplette Familie zu sein. Überall wird noch gebaut, aber nicht sehr professionell. Bad ist winzig, Zimmer sehr klein, Küchenzeile ohne Ausstattung, Farbe blättert, undefinierbare Flecken überall. Keine Fliegengitter, Klimaanlage uralt.

Probably THE WORST hotel you can possibly stay at in Canada. I've stayed in areas in remote Manitoba where you wouldn't expect much out of a hotel, and it was still better than this dump of a place. Rubbish customer service, prepare to get talked to like you're a 5 year old kid that who they're trying to brush off. Extremely rude staff, shame on you.

This is not a place I would ever book again. We had a deluxe double queen room. The beds were comfortable but that is the only good thing about our stay. The room had a coffee maker but no cups to make it and no glasses for water. No soap in the bathroom, curtains falling apart and damaged walls under the air conditioner. All this for 163.00 per night! Never again!
There were 5 other people in our party who also had similar issues. We had originally book economy rooms but through their mix up, they upgraded those rooms to apartment suites. Surely they must be joking! The upgraded rooms were nothing special. I would hate to see the economy rooms. Must be just a mat on the floor.

Recommended: this place wasn't bad. We arrived around 11 and it is a family-friendly business, so it took a while for them to even get to us. (I think they drove from home) Once we were greeted, we were checked-in and offered food (breakfast) as we would be leaving much earlier than their breakfast was served. The rooms were cozy and equipped with a kitchenette. The rooms are not only situated by the St. Lawrence bay, but also a busy trAin track. If that is the kind of thing that makes sleeping difficult, I would suggest somewhere else. Otherwise, this was a great place for the price. I also greatly enjoy supporting local businesses.
