Surprisingly good sushi. Ordered their signature Bear roll, a Green Dragon roll, and the Thor roll. Liked the Bear roll which is topped with torched salmon a lot in particular.
It was a somewhat long wait for our food after we ordered (maybe half an hour), but that's not too much different from other sushi restaurants I've been to where they made it fresh after ordering.
The decor inside made it feel more like a cafe than a restaurant. Staff was very friendly.
I’ve eaten a lot sushi all across Ontario, and this is hands down the best sushi I have ever eaten. I wasn’t sure what to expect going to this little place on Manitoulin Island, but to my pleasant surprise I got to enjoy the most flavourful sushi I’ve had to date. It is a little pricey, but trust me, it’s well worth the price.
Great place for sushi and ramen. Ramen was decent. Guys operating the place are very nice and genuine. A little pricey for what you get but understanding the area and concept, it makes sense.
Delicious sushi in a beautiful location. The sushi is high quality, unique and a must try on the island. Staff is professional and courteous. Better than most sushi places in larger cities. We will be back. Try the salmon, apple and cream cheese sushi!
Veggie sushi roll was tasty but overpriced. Why the same price as fish rolls? More expensive than high end Toronto Shushi resto’s. 15$ for one roll? Come on! Soup was lukewarm. Service in the spring was kinda lazy with the server not bringing water, cutlery forgotten etc but maybe that’s improved…I wanted to support this business but it’s not reasonably priced. I just can’t afford this. I understand some ingredients are harder to source/ more expensive to import but if they priced things just a fraction more affordably I think they’d garner more Island business in the long run.
I completely forgot to take a photo, but the presentation was beautiful. The menu was a QR code, so that was a draw back. Nice if you are looking for sushi on the island.
I order the Pork Shoyu Ramen and it lack passion, heart, and flavour. The ramen was simply bland, clearly a lack of understanding of the Japanese culture. The ramen was missing the richness that come from days of preparation. The noodle had no chew to it or flavour and the egg was not marinated.
The sushi simple put taste like prepackage grocery store sushi.
Had a delicious sushi experience this evening. The fish was fresh and the sushi was creatively plated. We also tried the ramen and seafood soup which was equally delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will come back again the next time we are in Little Current!
