This is a great place. Friendly service, friendly surroundings, and a very wide selection of used books.

This bookstore started in their old location as one of my favourite used bookstores mainly because it was decent and the only game in town. Over the years, they’ve grown much larger and much greater in my estimation. They’re a great bookstore. Period. A visit to Parry Sound isn’t complete unless you’ve spent time wandering their many rooms searching for treasures. The staff are friendly and the selection is huge. If you’re a book lover (or even a book liker), you owe it to yourself to visit (and visit often).

Amazing bookstore! Stunning collection of a wide range of books that appeal to a wide range of audience. Visited Parry Sound with my family for a cabin stay and ferry ride when we found this hidden gem! Highly recommend for book lovers!

Set aside at least an hour to browse:) It’s fun. They don’t keep an up-to-date inventory but they are quick to help find what you’re looking for.

So many books! And reasonable prices. Make sure you check out all the different rooms. Each have their own content.

These people know their books and their stock! I was looking for a specific children’s book which is out of print; they were initially going to put me on a waiting list, but emailed back later that day that they had it on hand. They mailed it to me, and even were able to use letter mail (cheaper), and all in less than a week! Great, personal, small business-type service at its best! We always try to get to their physical store when near Parry Sound, and recommend to our friends to pop by and check them out too!

If u love books, all I can say is u should GO! It's not a library, so have some patience & get ready 2 hunt! Very cool place!

This is my favorite second hand bookstore! You can trade in your own used books for store credit. There are many rooms filled with books at very affordable prices! The staff are great and they have very nice washrooms and the water front is near by.

Favourite used book store. They have books EVERYWHERE of all kinds. I could spend hours in this place. The people are very kind and the books are also well priced. 10/10 will go again when I can!

There was a line up at the cash at 11am on a Tuesday morning. It's that popular. This is one of the best places to stock up for your vacation reading!

A lot of books, but so chaotic that it's practically hard to find anything. The place needs more space and more stuff working there.

Excellent selection. Never seen a used book store this big. Found lots of books at $1. Some newer books in excellent condition are more like $9.

This is a very interesting place, literally full of books from floor to ceiling. We exchanged a bunch our books and got a discount on the purchases we made. Prices are very fair, and the selection is pretty amazing as long as you're willing to do a bit of browsing through the vast stacks of books.

Magical place, the kind that I didn't think existed any more. Piles of books everywhere, so much to look at!

Always like to stop in here on our way through. Thought I would check it out again. Prices have become a little too steep for me for used books. Perhaps like most businesses that have suffered through the past two years they're trying to make up for it. Drop the prices and you may get more customers again.

I visited this store yesterday and I had a great experience here. Everything is well organized. The woman with red shirt (her name is Alex maybe) cares about customers. Someone needs to give her a promotion.

If you like books you will love this place. It feels more like library than a store, but service is fast, friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is a treasure trove. You could get lost for days, browsing all the nooks and crannies. You're bound to find something, and if you can't, just ask any of the staff who are so willing to help. Happy browsing!

There is an amazing variety of books. I always find something. Very handy for the books I don't want anymore. Maybe too many books around, maybe reduce a bit and make more space.

Massive! Nice and knowledgeable staff and dog friendly. Also some music sheets. You can get lost in those books. Conditions of books vary of course. There are some great condition finds in there as well.

I was blown away by this place! It just kept going and going, split up into obscure sub-genres that all made sense. I was looking for a good cottage book to read on the dock and found something within minutes. The staff were chatty and helpful as well. I'll be back for more.

An amazing huge used bookstore. It's more like a library than a bookstore. Wide variety of fiction and non-fiction for children, young adults and adults. Very friendly and helpful staff. As of February 3 2021 they are open for curbside pick-up. They will also take your gently used books for donation, trade or possibly cash. And they will order new books for you. Best used book store for miles around.

Bearly Used Books is a great place to purchase books and I would recommend them to anyone who enjoys reading. The owner is a very special lady with a wealth of knowledge. I needed some books during COVID and she worked hard to get them delivered in a few days. We have been buying books off of her for years and will continue to be a loyal customer.

Staff very very helpfull in helping locate books l was looking for. Especially with their large inventory which was somewhat overwhelming when u enter for the 1st time.

Called them asking for i spy books and other find and search words they went and got them and set them aside for me. My daughter asked for another book but they didn't have it lady said she would keep an eye out for it and call me when it comes In. Very helpful and so kind. I give it a A+

Better than Chapters! Books new and old and in between. We have been going here for a few years and watched it grow from one room to the whole building. Staff are fantastic, knowledgable and happy to help. If you only go that far north once in a while, it is fantastic to browse, or best to be prepared with a list! Either way, set aside at least an hour to enjoy. If you are after a popular new release, call ahead and get your name on a wait list. I come back with a bagful every time!

I love this store, Melissa and her staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. I telephoned them telling them what i was looking for and the wrote down the information and call me to let me know when the books come in that i want and have them at the desk when I get there.

Moved here recently, so I brought my kids over the Christmas break. Had no idea how big it was inside. We spent 45 minutes there, and went back 2 days later to find more books. So charming, tons of books, great staff. Will go again soon. So much better than buying new. Love this store!

Hard to describe how magical this place feels. Floor to ceiling books on every wall and in every nook and cranny. If you are a book lover, your friends and family may have to file a missing person report for you. It feels like an endless maze of books in the best way possible. If not for a book or two (though they almost definitely have what you're looking for) go here for the sheer experience of being in such a unique place.

By far my favorite store in Parry Sound. Could get lost for hours in there and still spend less than $20. Staff is super friendly and helpful!
