Great service, half the techs came to introduce themselves to, and fawn over Potato while we were waiting in the exam room. Vet was very attentive and listened well. Very helpful. Had a great most recent experience.

Good service. Veterinarian was very friendly and explained everything she did with our dog. She gave the dog treat between shots and made her comfortable. Good overall experience, will be back for grooming I. A few weeks.

Dr. Lima treats my three cats with so much kindness, she is very thorough and gentle. When Dr. Q retired he left Beattie Animal Hospital in excellent hands?

Do not put your pet in the care of this place. The doctor there is practically afraid of dogs, there website is absolutely inaccurate in regards to the service they provide, hours of operations are also incredibly inconsistent. The team or system they have they is also extremely incompetent and unreliable I have given this place multiple chances and each time I have to follow up to have somewhat of decent experience/service. All in all this is massive company that offers subpar and it’s disgusting

You may be asking what was the last straw so I have place the details below

I had booked boarding for my pet and went to drop him off at the time I had selected through their form only to find out they are closed I was able to get in contact with Claire who was still on site. Even though Claire was on site she indicated that they are not able to take my pet as they closed. I explained that I had filled out the form weeks (3 weeks) prior to the date and no one had contacted me saying the time I selected was not available for drop off. She then “offered” the option of me finding a different service provider that could take my pet or asking a family or friend to do so until Monday when they reopen. Obviously this isn’t a solution they are providing but more of a way to say “find someone else until we reopen”. Needless to say that was the last straw as any competent person or business would have reached out their client to alert of the issue prior to the date.

Staff here are very accommodating and you can tell they really want the best for your pet (s) they do their best to keep the prices low and provide the best care. Would highly recommend them

We made the very difficult decision to euthanize our elderly sick dog and called to him in and were told there was no available appointments, they were at "capacity"we ended up going elsewhere, woman at appointment desk was unsympathetic. This is where our dog went for years and for his final moments had to go elsewhere because they had no time.i will never go back there with our other dog NEVER! And to the appointment clerk.you need empathy training!

Waited for an hr, before they would see me, so I left, very abrupt and not very friendly, would not leave my pet there.

Last couple years were rough not only with COVID but because she got a little too upset about her nails. This year though! The vet took time with her and actually felt her muscles and bones AND my girl lost 12 KILO'S since our last visit!
It's a big place with lots of options like daycare, boarding, grooming, food, meds and all in one place! The pricing is amazing too, can't find anywhere else even close to what I pay here. 6 months advantix for a large dog, vaccines, and exam all just a bit over $350!

Would not recommend this vet, grateful to have found another vet that is so compassionate and cares about the health of my dogs.

We use Beattie Brantford for boarding. Their kennels are bigger than most. Cooper had a “double suite” 3.5x6ft. So much room that the staff would go in and snuggle with him! Love these people. And if he were to need it, he’s with a proper vet. We will be back in the future with our new dogs.

The front desk us so busy with early calls and check ins. A good hospital however. Wait time on hold is brutal. 15 mins I'm not Gallagher oh wrong line. 17 minutes Mary? No it's not. Hung up the line on their side. Seriously not a good impression thus the 2.

We are newer to Brantford and didnt have a local vet yet. Our boy, Yuma, had 2 seizures within 30 minutes of each other. The staff at Beattie were amazing from the first phone call. They explained everything, had estimates that were actually accurate, every staff who came in the room had a genuine love for animals. I was amazed at how easy our day was, considering the stressful situation. I am so happy we found them. It gives you peace when you know your vet team is going to love your fur babies as much as you do.

Absolutely terrible. My 15 year old dog had a heart attack in front of my son and was having seizure after seizure. She died in my arms. When I called Beattie for help on what to do.as I was holding my dog while she was still twitching, they said that it was something I had to figure out for myself. I asked "what do you mean? Like throw her out behind the shed until the ground thawed? ". They said, "that's up to you.ok.byeeeee! ". Unreal! Do not take your animals here!

We took our Mia here for the entirety of her life. As an animal parent, you want your little fur babies to be in the right hands during their troubling times. You also want to feel that the doctor and clinic you bring them to cares and is diligent to make sure that your fur baby is being taken care of by the best of the best.

First, the care and relationships between her, us, and the people who worked here were mediocre at best. The vets we saw were never consistent, we saw many.

SECOND, back in June 2022 our Mia's health declined, she was 13 years old. The vet who saw her gave us a call with the news that she was in Kidney failure. He told us that we are to give her a powder every morning to try and boost her kidney function and to have her back in for a check up in September.

THIRD and MOST IMPORTANT. I mentioned to this vet that she had discharge. We had never seen this before and I felt that something wasn't right. The only issues in the appointment were her mouth and weight loss. I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more wrong with her.

I ended up taking matters into my own hands and found another vet. THANK GOD I DID. Mia ended up having a major bacterial infection and the discharge she had was in fact due to this.

Mia passed away October 3rd. We never heard a single word from Beattie from June 2022 (month of her diagnosis) - October 2022 (AND STILL TO THIS DAY NOT A SINGLE WORD). They still to this day have no idea she has passed away, no check ins, no phone calls, no emails.

We love our Mia so much, had I known this would be the end result I would have NEVER taken her here. Do your fur babies a favour and do not bring them to this franchised establishment.

Whoever works the front desk is extremely rude. Very short. I’ve heard that from more than one person and have experienced it myself

Went in for a grooming and came out with a shaved cat. No phone call was made prior to this happening. Kristin the grooming manager who is also the groomer then continued to berate me on the phone and was VERY hostile with me explaining I should not have got a courtesy call to give me a heads up. I asked for a refund which she refused. I am now going to speak with Jen who is the clinic manager in hopes that no one else has to go through what I went through. Ps.the shave job was a hack job.very disappointed in how this was handled without empathy.

Update- nothing was handled or resolved and now I see other reviews about how poor of a grooming job others have had and experienced here. I do not recommend at all— please don’t make the same mistake I did in trusting them.

I have seen a lot of negative comments about Beattie and I couldn't disagree more. I have had every dog and cat I've owned seen by Beattie for over 20 years and I couldn't say enough about the staff and the vets at this place. I have never ever been left in an emergency situation without them making space to see my pet, I have never felt pressured to make a vaccination decision I didn't want to make or to do a procedure I didn't agree with. They have come through for us and our animals on countless occasions and trust me thats a lot given the size of our furry family. I think a lot of people fail to recognize what some of these people are put through by demanding customers or rude people on a daily basis (which I've seen) Yes sometimes wait times are long - because they try to help as many animals as possible constantly taking in emergency situations even when they're full - We know this because we've benefited from it in the past so we never mind having to wait. Vets and their staff have one of the hardest jobs some days and I think that everyone needs to take a step back and learn patience and kindness.

People focus on the staff turnover being a bad sign - have you looked around lately? Most places have high turnover and that isnt' always an indication of the employer - there may be some turnover but there are many many frontline staff in this place that have been there for years and years - they are like a family from every indication I've seen.

Thank you Beattie for everything you have done for our family, you will continue to be our family vet now and many years to come.

I recommend coming to Beattie Pet hospital. I brought my very ill cat to them as it was time to go. I have been calling numerous vets and they all sent us away, when I called Beatties and told them it was an emergency they got him in right away. They vet was very supportive and compassionate. Let me have time with him. I’d also like to give Melissa a shout out to. Thank you so much for coming in with me and getting me to hold him one last time.

Always attentive and compassionate, no matter how busy they get, even when booking an appointment. Not only is Beattie Animal Hospital the best veterinarian in the area, their prices cannot be beat when it comes to check ups, vaccines and spay/neuter procedures. The Staff has been amazing with my precious Zoe! They have taken great care of her, specially this last year and half with all her health issues. Zoe is now doing amazing thanks to all the awesome care from the vets and vet techs and all the staff!

You were more concerned about where I received my pet from. I came in for pet health care, not an interrogation. Providing the scheduled services seemed secondary. I was left feeling treated negatively. There's a reason I haven't been back.

I moved to Beattie because my last vet would not see my senior dog, 11 yrs old, who had a tumor impacting his ability to walk. I live out of town, and the vets here are difficult to get into if you have not already been a patient. I waited 2 weeks for a call from other my vet, to discuss options, only to be told it would take a month to get in and have our dog looked at. At that point, we had already decided he needed to be put down. I called Beattie, as a child my family dog was taken there, they were able to schedule an appointment within 3 days, gave us a prescription to keep our dog comfortable, until we could put him down; which they accommodated within days. They made a difficult time and decision less stressful and I have kept them as our vet for my other dog. They have been great!

Decent but kept asking about flea and tick meds that we already give our dog. We kept saying no and that we already have some but they continued asking. Also the vet didn't speak the greatest English and was sometimes hard to understand at times. He also seemed to prefer grabbing our dog by her collar and not her harness.

Brought our dog to Beattie and nothing but caring, compassionate staff. He had an appointment for a neuter he was received on time.no hidden costs.everything upfront
