The Beattie Team is serious about animal care and treatment.
They are not pushy with their recommendations which is great as things are very very expensive nowadays.
Palmer is a true professional as they helped me from start to finish. Without them I would have signed up, so kudos.

2.9 rate is way higher than what this hospital deserve. My cousin bought her cat here few month ago. The vet.she met is Dr. Matt who does not have any kind of bedside manner. The cat was 16 years old and was itchy, he gave two injections, one was anti-biotic and one was long acting steroid. He did not offer any blood work for the cat and the appointment was only 3 minutes. The cat deteriorated after 3 days and we took him to the ER of Hamilton and they figured out that the cat has liver failure and kidney failure. This cat should not have had steroids at all. Dr. Mat was reluctant to ask for blood work and he pushed this cat to the edge and we had to put him down. Dr. Mat is very arrogant.not recommended

Our little Boston terrier was attacked by a larger dog. We brought her in on a holiday. She had to have surgery. Dr. Baskin and the whole team were amazing with our Ariella. With a couple weekly visits to make sure her wound was healing nicely.
Thank you all

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! MONEY GRABBERS AND DONT CARE AT ALL ABOUT YOUR PETS! BRING IN FOR A PROBLEM GET TOLD MY PET IS FINE ALL I NEED TO DO IS BUY THEIR $70 A BAG OF FOOD. 5 HOURS LATER I HAD TO RUSH HER TO AN EMERGENCY VET! ZERO STARS IF I COULD. WHEN I ALERTED STAFF ABOUT RUSHING MY CAT TO EMERGENCY AFTER BEING THERE THEY SHRUGGED THEIR SHOULDERS AND SAID “sorry”. DISGUSTING PLACE!

Beattie's have always been our vet for our dogs. We started in Brantford and now come here as it is closer. Prices are reasonable and they are excellent at explaining what is happening with our dogs when they're sick. Good at sending reminders for vaccination. Sometimes the wait can be a little long but thats because if how busy they are.
30 May 2023 18:16
It's hit and miss here. Sometimes you get a really good vet, sometimes you don't. Everyone is friendly enough though. Not sure about the prices anymore. They used to be very, very reasonable, but I think all the expansions may have something to do with the increase in their prices.

Dr. PJ was excellent when he was treating my poor cat that was attacked by another cat. The vet tech was super awesome! They discovered all the puncture wounds. I'm thankful for their support

I took my puppy for his flea and tick medicine today as I was instructed by his vet to wait due to his age until now. My puppy was weighed and then a receptionist called me to the desk to pay for the medication. I inquired as to the instructions and was told just give it to him I said once a month and she stated it’s only for a month. I stated I was instructed by the vet to wait until now so I could get all the meds to last flea season. She stated I’ll check with the tech and left she came back and said my puppy can have 2 months. So disappointed left without your generous 2 months of medication and will not ever return! I guess they can make more money selling it by the month stay away and read reviews there is a reason for 2.8.

If I could give a Zero I would Never had such a bad experience with this clinic as I have today with this one particularVet she was nasty. Horrible, the Vet today over the phone called me a lier & that I should find another clinic all over an ear infection for my pet that just needed drops. Instead or doing that she recommended i change his diet instead of treating the cause first then food later. Horrible money grab & I wish no one goes there for their own sanity especially with that female vet she has no respect

The staff is amazing. They treat our Bully as if he was one of their own. Our dog loves going there and visiting the staff there.

Got our puppy in early morning today due to an injury. They got us in quick, and calmed us down immediately over the phone prior to the appointment. We were happy with the service provided.

Beattie was recommended to me by another animal hospital. I really respect the staff here.

They were profesional, polite, thoughtful and very straightforward. Answered all the questions I had and were clearly animal lovers to the core.

While I hope I don't need Beattie's help in the future, if I do, I know I'll be in good hands

Dr. Mellish at Beattie Stoney creek is hands down the best vet we have ever had. We had a very sick 15 week old puppy, she was very hesitant to operate and explained it would do more harm then good in such a young puppy. We had our puppy stay a night at the hospital for monitoring and to investigate the cause of what was making her so sick. We left a down payment and not only was our puppy better with no surgery, they actually gave us money back! I truly feel like Dr. Mellish cares about the animal and wants to be as least invasive as possible without taking advantage of the owner and taking all their money. Well done Stoney Creek Beattie, we will definitely be back for all our pet care needs.

I think these people (some of them unknowingly) (Other's Knowingly) will put you Dog Down on Order's from a Certain Someone or Database (Stating Cancers & Untreatable Situations) Because they have a Certain Rules that they can make More Money from in Certain Shituations.
They may make you Wait as Long as Possible (because time waisted is money spent) then they'll say "Hey We Got a Second Opinion" & your Dog is Operable"
Sincerely:
Not a Happy Man.

Pretty simple, they care about milking you for your money rather then helping the animal resulting in them killing my dog!

Cat passed away because of their negligence. Diagnosed with diabetes and they refused to believe their own results of blood work. They refused to give insulin. Or any kind of life saving procedures or medications. We were forced to bring him elsewhere after hours and at that time they couldn't save him.he was again diagnosed with diabetes and ketoacidosis shock. He could have lived. They were rude and unprofessional. My cat

These people don't care about anyone's time other then their own. Been there 20 times for appointments being left in a room for over a hour with my sick dog who's not being treated because they are to busy for the appointment they made for us. Literally walked out this time. Taking our dog somewhere else.

Time to find a new vet.
I have been taking my two cats and one dog here for years. Had it's ups and downs but I have had enough.
My cat has a skin condition that results in sores on his face that bleed. He is on a steroid to help control it. On two occasions I have driven 40 minutes one way to pick up his medication (after being told it was ready for pick up) and it has not been ready. One of those times was today - I was told this morning that I would receive a call when it's ready (even though my email from them said it would be ready yesterday). It's now over 12 hours later and I have not received a call.

When he had a bladder infection I was told I would receive a call the night I brought him in to see if I could give him his steroids. Didn't receive a call. I called the following morning. Couldn't give me an answer. Called in the afternoon. Still no answer for me. Reached out again in the evening. Nothing. It wasn't until two days after I brought him in that I received an answer for this. His poor eyes and face were so raw/bloody but they told me to wait until they reviewed his x-rays and blood work in case there was something more going on than the bladder infection. The steroids can cause issues with his kidneys so it is concerning. Turns out they were fine and I could have given him the pills avoided his face flaring up so horribly.

We brought Chester our cat to animal hospital on Dec 27,2021. We received good care, exactly 21 days later I noticed Chester was losing hair on his ears. We thought it was behaviour due to being home alone for 2 days. He continued to lose hair, we took him to our vet only to discover he has ringworm. I called the hosputal with my concern, explaining Chester is a stay at home cat with n orher pets. They told me that he couldnot have caught it thete yet that is the only pace he was at. No offer for help. We have been dealing wirh this now for 6months, constant treatment. Not happy with the lack of assistance

Not good a person that works for Beattie had my dog in a choke hold my big dog was weak and had trouble walking and when the girls tried to take MY DOG BACK TO HIS GAGE SHE WAS CHOCKING HIM BY TRYING TO HOLD HIM UP, WHY NOT JUST GET A STREACHER TO MOVE HIM ON, ONE MINUTE THEIR TELLING ME HE IS GETTING BETTER THEN THEY TOLD ME WE SHOULD SEND HIM TO TORONTO TO ANOTHER VET THAT COULD COST UP TO FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS, WHEN WE SAID NO THE VET SAID HE WON'T SURVIVE MUCH LONGER, WHEN I SAW MY DOG HE LOOKED STONED HE WAS IN A DAZE I HAD TO PUT HIM TO SLEEP HE WAS 13 MY HEART AND Soul THE FULL AMOUNT TRYING TO SAVE MY best friend was six thousand five hundred and that was four months ago and I'm still grieving over him,

I can't say enough good things about Beattie Pet Hospital - Stoney Creek. We were originally referred there back in November when our dog Wellington needed emergency foreign body surgery. They were informative with all of my questions re: surgery, and Welly ended up needing a lot of care the following week because he wasn't recovering well. Dr. Baskin was unbelievably patient, seeing us at the last minute many times that week, taking time to answer questions and give honest advice. With his attentive care and help, Wellington made a full recovery. More recently (this past weekend), we ended up there again, because Wellington had become suddenly quite sick. Again, Dr. Baskin and Dr. Matt were both straightforward, honest and informative about the options available for treatment. The front desk staff were also incredibly patient - when Wellington was hospitalized, I called multiple times to check on him or ask questions. I was often distraught or upset and they took the time to reassure me, ask the doctor questions if needed and I really appreciated their kindness. In the end, Wellington crossed the rainbow bridge on Saturday evening. Dr. Matt made time for us and a room was prepared for us and our daughters to visit and spend some time with him. It is not an easy thing to say goodbye to a beloved family member, but we truly felt like Wellington was in good hands. Overall, I just really felt like the staff at Beattie Stoney Creek cared about Wellington, the vets were straightforward and honest about treatment and care, and they went above and beyond for our family multiple times when we needed their help and guidance. Thankyou to all of the staff for their tremendous care of Welly in his final days and thank you for your kindness to our family during such a difficult time. We will return to Beattie Stoney Creek and Dr. Baskin/Dr. Matt when we are ready for a new beloved family member.

Took my cat in for 2 vaccines and a nail trim.the 2 vaccines went by super fast and my cat Nico was great. They brought him back to the examination room and then came back later to take him to the back room for the nail trim and only were able to trim the nails on 3/4 paws due to my cat freaking out because he was next to a random dog.they also ended up cutting 1 nail too short which started bleeding. It does not make ANY sense as to why they thought it was a good idea to do a quick nail trim in the back room when the examination room is usually where they trim nails because it’s nice and quiet. My total was $145.77 and I asked for a discount on the $20 + tax nail trim since they didn’t finish their job and made him bleed and the employees laughed at me. So unprofessional and outright pathetic. The lack of common sense really triggers me. Definitely do not recommend this place.

I do not have any pets on file at this hospital and I never will.

My partners family dog Luna lived a happy healthy life of 15 years and this week passed away in my partners arms. It was tragic to say the least. I sat there beside them for as long as they needed to be fair it will never be long enough. What happens next is atrocious.

We are informed by their dad to take Luna to Beaties as it was her vet and that they would be able to take care of cremation. We do this and are met with cold demeanor and zero empathy. After we watch beaties take Luna into the back never to he seen again we are told to come around the front to sign papers and pay. They gotta get that money right.

My partners name was not on the file but she was able to sign the paper work and give them $380 for the cremation service that we were told would end with us having Luna's ashes returned. But we had to have their dad call beaties to confirm as he was the only one on the file.

He called, and was asked if he wanted the cremation and if he wanted the ashes returned. Why would he be asked that. We payed for the service already. All they they had to was tell him what was paid for and he would have said sounds good. (It is vastly cheaper if you don't get the ashes back important to note as we paid the most expensive cost)
He unfortunately said no. However he later told us that beatties NEVER EVEN TOLD HIM about my partners wishes, AND PAYMENT, which was on file.

Today we got into contact with beaties asking what was going on as we, the ones who physically paid, who physically dropped off Luna were not updated in anything. Again met with cold blank statements of ignorance. Finally after an entire heart wrenching week and long day of waiting for a phone call that never came my partner called one last time where she finally found out that Luna was comuneally cremated and that they would not be getting any thing to commemorate Luna's memory. There was no apologies no sympathy. Just excuses. They also said that we could go to a different company for other memorial products, and they would not help with that.

We will be moving all of our other animals to a more loving and caring vetinary hospital. I suggest any one who are clients of beaties reading this to do the same.

Very professional, understanding and compassionate when I was in dealing with having to put my dog down. The vet was very honest with diagnostic and chances of survival. No sugar coating to get more money. Thank you all for every thing you did to make that decision easier.

Honestly where do I start, this place is ridiculous. They took my dog about 1 hour after the appointment, they didn't even call me once they were done. Then today, march 21, they took her in to spay her, they called us around 10 minutes later saying she is on her period, then when they brought her out they had the leash around her neck, they said they would book another appointment on the phone but they never did in-person, they were straight up absolutely rude. Never will recommend this place EVER, most disgusting thing I seen.
30 April 2022 5:37
I brought my dog to Beaties around 7 pm march 13.
He was hit by a truck and in bad condition. I asked if they could take him at the door and the lady refused (maybe no vet available). This clinic he is a patient at and closest to where we were.
Holding my dog close to death in my arms I asked if she can tell me where nearest emergency is or if she could call for help. The lady said I can’t. …….
couldn’t provide me any other help? HOW do you not know any other emergency vet locations and you work at an animal hospital? How could u not help someone and you work ther? Wow never will I send my animals to Beaties again. My dog passed that night. You can now write MoMO Contursi is deceased in ur files.

Worst treatment I have ever had at any Vet. My feelings are they only want to make money and have no interest in an animals welfare. I asked if I could be in the room while examining my pet, I was told yes on the phone but she was taken to the back after we entered the examining room? The "so called" Vet did not even correctly diagnose my cat. The "visual examination" with a quote of 4 to 5 thousand dollars before he even took blood, which he took three attempts to get the price right. I requested blood tests to help with a proper diagnoses and there for decision on a treatment plan. But instead I was told I could not take her home unless I made a plan, there and then, with only his visual examination. The only options were to follow his advice or I will have Animal Service called on me (Which they did). I am extremally glad I did not fall for their money grabbing tactics. When I insisted to take her to a different vet (which I did right after I left) she seemed in a worst state then before she went in their back room (Not sure what he actually did to her but it did not help). There was only one receptionist that was kind enough to lend me clean towels as I paid my $96.05 examination fee for a absolutely horrible experience, waste of time, money and worst of all extra stress on my cat and myself. Will advise anyone not to take there pet to this location unless you want a wrong diagnosis, threats, and large amounts of money taken for nothing. Or worse, inaccurate diagnosis of a pet you are trying to get or keep healthy.

My 10 week old Boxer puppy was thowing up and had diarrhea. It was a Saturday afternoon when he was showing signs of getting worse. I called every after hour clinic I could not find any clinic within a reasonable distance to me. Finally the Beatie Clinic told me to call first thing in the morning for an appointment. I arrived on Sunday with Dexter and the staff performed a Parvovirus test that came back positive. He sadly had a very poor chance. The Doctor said with the right medications and dedication he had a chance. They gave him IV fluids and sent me home with all the medication to nurse him at home. It's 11 days now and he's doing great.
Thankyou so much to all the caring staff at Beaties. I would recommend them to anyone.

My family and I have been bringing our beautiful flame tipped Ragdoll Kitty here for years now. We visit frequently as our kitty is long haired and will often matt causing issues for her. Her lion cuts are done very nicely and always make her so adorable!

My family and I are very satisfied with Beattie's and always recommend them to other pet owners. The prices are great and services fantastic. The vet's, groomers, and other service providers here are very kind and explain the services as well as options for the needs of our kitty in detail. We never feel that anything unrequired is being pushed on us.

Beattie Pet Hospital is open 24hrs and handles emergencies as well (without the high emergency fees that other Pet Hospitals charge!). They have made us feel very safe during these Covid times with curbside drop/pick ups. The vet will then call us as they examine and for follow ups afterwards.

Our kitty is our life and love and we trust Beattie to care for her. If you are like us give them a try and I am sure you will not be disappointed

Sometimes the wait can be a little long but thats because if how busy they are.

Everything went fine, I know the cost of everything is going up, so we were expecting the approximate amount that the appointment would cost.
13 March 2022 16:24
I've been going to Beattie since 2015. From when we lost our first cat and had to out her down, the staff were so compassionate and empathetic. To our now three pets. Excellent service. Staff are always friendly and professional. My dog is never anxious when we go inside or when she sees the vet. Same with our cats as well. Just a great atmosphere and very clean. The prices are great too. As a pet owner I just feel my furbabies are getting the best.

They sent my brother's cat home with a dangerous amount of medication for a one year old cat. My brother paid them over $3,000 and it seems like they really don't care and they take the funds! Thank God we were smart enough to question his medication, especially the 5kg amount they had given for one of his pills. Thank God they are on it and double checking everything. The horror story goes on but I will leave it at that.

I'll add, The review from a few days ago from the man who had the 14-year-old dog was also extremely scary! Cannot believe the vet put the dog at risk because he was called out for overcharging. My heart goes out to that family!
23 February 2022 21:12
Called to make an emergency appointment but couldn’t because “their computers are down” so much for emergency services….
21 February 2022 13:09
I have been with them for 10 years the staff is amazing it's amazing my dog loves everybody there hes excited to go in and he gets baby
19 February 2022 8:47
My sister recently put her pet down and Beatties was the only place I could go at this time of need as our vet wasn't available.
From the time he was brought in to putting him down was a very heartless and disgusting experience.
I paid for the bill as my sister had lost another dog the week prior to old age. All that was provided was a debit slip. No detailed bill no nothing.
She was in a state and just paid. When I got home and saw the receipt I almost died at the bill.
I was over charged almost $500 and when I confronted them about it the staff said well I have to check with a manager. I said check his file. And the employee confirmed xrays and blood work were NOT DONE. So how did I get charged. And if I didn't check they would have gotten away with it.
When I demanded my refund they said a debit refund was NOT and option. I had to wait until they generated enough money to get it back. Took them 2 visits to pay in full.
DISGUSTING PLACE. DONT GO THERE
19 February 2022 2:22
One of the worst veterinarians in Hamilton just canceled my 14 year old dog surgery that she was supposed to have on Friday they don't care about the animals they "d me $400 more than they did 2 weeks ago so I lost my mind and they did malpractice on my dog months ago when I got 1 lump removed and they were supposed to remove both but they only removed once so they could make more money and then I called them out on it and then the doctor says that we're gonna cancel your surgery Friday for my dog who is in pain and agony and suffering because I was standing up for myself they don't care about your animal or your dogs they only care about putting money in their pocket if they cared about the animals they wouldn't cancel my surgery
13 February 2022 3:14
After euthanizing our 12 yr old Golden (I am her breeder/past owner) without confirming a diagnosis the vet refused to have an autopsy done when requested. Owners were told they would have to take the body themselves to Guelph when in fact the vet could have removed the organs and sent them to IDEXX or Histovet for necropsy. Vet was obviously too lazy. As this girl was used for breeding, cause of death would have been helpful.
This would never happen at my vet clinic my vets are professional and have always done this with my dogs when requested.
13 February 2022 1:02
What a joke. Our computers are down so we can't see your pet for a emergency. Can't book a appointment. Just curious what part of the computer does that use on a dog. What a useless generation. Without a computer can't do nothing. Guess they never herd of a pen and paper
10 February 2022 4:57
My kitten got spayed a week ago and an infection began.as soon as i noticed i started calling around to emergency vets.they were the only vet that would take her on such short notice.i called at 5 pm and got her for an appointment the next day at 11am.they were quick, very helpful and polite while answering all the questions i had.amazing service.i’ll definitely recommend this animal hospital to friends and family if need be!

Very sad excuse for customer service for how many staff work there. Called two days in advance for meds. No one knew anything some how when i went to pick up.want endless testing to give meds that work (3different one’s) to find one that works to change it after they see improvement. This place is a cash grabbing waste. Do not bring your fur family here

Our dog Slim was not herself and needed an emergency appointment. We were seen within 30 minutes. The dr was very good with her, as a senior pet she is nervous. He was very reeassuring with us as the fur parents as well. Thanks to Dr Salib!

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. I hope no one in need of emergency vet services has to use this disgrace of a facility.
I called because our regular vet was closed and my 165lb great dane was unable to use her back legs. I made it clear on the phone she needed xrays and an exam. I also told them I would be emailing over her vet records because she was at the vet less than a month ago for her annual shots and I wanted to ensure they had her complete history. Upon arrival the clinic was running 10 minutes behind schedule; as someone that works in private practice I understand that happens. However, it then turned into 20 minutes behind schedule and upon entering the facility which required two of my family members (grown men) to carry her, the vet technician asked for them to put her on the scale to be weighed. I had to explain to her that what she was seeing was true, the dog cannot stand on her own and cannot be weighed however I emailed over her records with her current weight since it has not fluctuated since her last vet appointment. Despite this clear urgency and physical struggle to carry in a stressed out 165lb great dane, she still continued to ask to put her on the scale. I again declined her being weighed and asked her to use the weight on her current/up to date medical record. The vet who entered the room was not only extremely late, he was extremely fearful of the inmobile dog and would not go near her. He informed us that their xray machine is too small for her and she would need to see a specialist. On top of the emotional aspect of trying to get your loved one help and having to wait, you are now told they can't even take an xray that you requested and that is necessary in diagnosising the problem; even though when calling you provided the details of the size of the dog and the issue. Then the clinic had audacity to charge $84.75 despite being too fearful to complete a proper physical exam AND not being equipped to diagnose the problem with xrays. We paid $84.75 to leave essentially. Our dog suffered additional hours while we waited to get into the clinic, waited for the vet and then we had to find a proper vet who was able to diagnose the problem.all because the administration team is not knowledgeable enough about their own clinic and they have vets who aren't willing to help out larger bread animals. Such a disgrace and beyond disappointing. I will NEVER recommend or return to this facility.

I was recently at this Beatties with an after hours emergency and I couldn’t have better things to say about Dr. Shawn Baskin. He was personable, reasonable, and easily communicated his findings and treatment options with us. You can tell Dr. Baskin really cares about his patients and he even stayed nearly 3 hours past his shift to ensure my dogs were well cared for and we were fully informed with what was going on.

Amazing and professional staff, they are great with pets. I’ve never had an issue and I’ve been going here since 2014! And amazing prices to!

Previously my visits at Beattie's have been fine. My cat is a usual patient at the Ancaster location. They tell you if you have an emergency that the Stoney Creek location is available 24/7. I have used this service in the past and while not my most favourite visit to the vet, it went fine. My cat had a urinary blockage and stayed there for a few days and was fine.

However, yesterday my cat showed early signs of another urinary blockage which I acted quickly on. I called the Stoney Creek location and told them how much pain my cat was in and they told me they were unfortunately super full at the moment and I could call another emergency vet service. After some thinking, I didn’t feel comfortable sending my cat, who has been treated by this Beattie’s for the exact same thing, to a different location so I called them back. I told them this and that I am willing to wait or make an appointment ASAP to get my cat there and checked out. Mind you, my cat is now screaming in pain and has now not urinated in a long time. When I called they now informed me there are absolutely no doctors working anymore!? !?

I understand that because of Covid, vet services have been overworked since reopening. I understand long wait times because of this as well. But not one single doctor available at a 24/7 emergency location? That really upset me.

I have since called another emergency centre that got me in as quickly as possible as they realized how severe this was.

Again, I understand the insane strain on vets and vet services but please update your location and website if you can no longer be an emergency service to your loyal patients.

Bad experience every time.always late for appointments. Pushing for extra services not necessary

Dr. Singh was great with my cat and gave very honest real opinions on what our options were.
He took his time to explain in detail any questions I had.
Great experience taking my old cat to what is generally a dreaded trip to a vet.

I have been with Beattie for 6 years now and I thought the service I had today was a rip off. Now I understand because of covid things will be different but was not professional at all. Took my dog for blood work for heart worm and to get tick medication and to look over the dog to see if the dogs in good health. They come outside to get the dog and then the vet calls and says my dog looks good. They then go do the blood work. Another clerk comes outside to get payment. She ask how I was paying and I say debit. I put payment through and thats when I find out how much my charge was. No paperwork to show me what was done and tick med is on order as they were out of stock. After I realize my bill was $296. I think after this experience I will take my dog to a vet that I actually meet. I know my dogs medical needs should be more than this.

Dr Mellish sees my cat Rupert for his hyperthyroidism. She's been amazing! He used to be terrified of the vet due to a previous experience from out west. She is knowledgeable and has been helping his hyperthyroidism through diet and medication. The entire staff is friendly and hard working despite the volume of people that go in and out of the place. 10/10 recommend.

Will not go back ever again! Went for a simple check up and flea & tick medication. Not even 5 minutes our dog was inside and they call that he’s needing blood work to the tune of $600 to determine hypothyroidism, not to mention that he needs to stay another 2 hours at least, and the possibility of medication (so the cost will keep racking up). There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG with my pooch. This is not the first time I’ve heard them pulling some B/S like this, they pulled the same thing with a friend of mine I work with.

Update: All it takes is a phone call. Further
to my angry rant below, I have now been contacted by Dr. Salib who explained the findings of the ultrasounds and was happy to clarify should I not understand any terminology. Dr Salib also offered diet restrictions, etc.for going forward and is sending the ultrasounds and report to me. I am now satisfied and have accepted his apology on behalf of Beatties. Will I continue to be a client, The answer is Yes.

Well Beattie Pet Hosp. You have made a very long standing client very, very angry. I have been a client at Beatties since the early 70's. Have sent numerous people, even my kids to you. But what I have experienced at this location this past week, since Sunday night admittance, is well, I have no words. $2300.00 later for less than 24 hours, no diagnosis. Charges that I am not sure if some of the procedures were actually completed. Today is Thursday and absolutely no communication since Monday to the findings of the 2 ultra sounds that you said/billed for on top of the xray.firstly my Lucy had an infected uterus, then a heart murmur and enlarged heart, spaying off the table as she might not make it through surgery, hence the ultrasound of both abdomen and chest. Is the neglect because I brought her home Monday because she was stressed and I was worried about a heart attack, oh I forgot heart attacks can happen anytime. Is it because you couldn't charge me another 135.00 for hospital care? Plus charges for all the meds you were giving to her that really didn't seem to be working. I'm at a loss.

I spent today 300 at that clinic and got nothing other than confused worried about my dog
I am a nurse and I can tell the medical advice was not clear the veterinarian had no straight diagnosis the same male veterinarian spayed my other dog 4 years ago left big scar

I agree with others here the prices are insane. Every 2 months a simple cat nail trim goes up $2 to $3. The days of $15 are a thing of the past. Was $22 six weeks ago. I phoned tonight its now $25. Not a bad payday for a ten minute trim.
19 April 2021 3:18
The waiting is very long eventhough you have an appointment. They are not giving you recommendations on the need of your animal. The only thing good is for emergency. They are open 24 hrs.
13 April 2021 7:30
Attended an appointment and was required to wait in the parking lot for 50min. Don’t plan anything around your appointment time as you will probably have to cancel.

I am flabbergasted that when I took my dog for a follow-up appointment with symptoms of Congestive Heart Failure, Doctor Haidy Habib at Beatties Stoney Creek decides to give my dog vaccinations without my knowledge and consent. So unprofessional! They also kept her for 3 long hours. Ridiculous!
I have switched Vets

Always professional and helpful. Covid protocols in place and easily followed.
Overall positive experience.

Just heads-up parents, think twice,
A friend of friend of mine booked check up for her dog because she felt her dog is not Allright, female vet old her everything is alright and no worries looks healthy she went home and after few hours almost 5 hours collapsed and died by heart attack, same as my cousin's dog died second day of exam that is really sounds so scary, I already transferred my dog and my cat medical record to another veterinarian clinic.

I must say this is the first time I had a positive experience with Beattie's in Stoney Creek. I always go to Ancaster to see only one vet but I must say Dr. Haidy Habib was absolutely wonderful! Care was extraordinary, her follow up amazing and the compassion outstanding! I will definitely bring my boy back to seek her care. Thank you Dr. Habib for helping my boy! I am truly grateful!

Called at 730 pm on a Tuesday for my dog in awful pain. Was told there night vet had retired and they hadn't replaced him? Why are you still calling yourself a 24 hour vet. So frustrated

I am so impressed at how helpful beatties staff was in fitting my pearl in for emergency surgery. One lady Jen went above and beyond for me even when my regular ancaster location wasn't willing to do anything. I will be switching to this location from now on. Thank you beatties!

The staff has always been caring about all our pets we've brought even when it was time to say good bye we can't say enough good things about you regardless of what other people say thank you for all you do and the care you give to the animals

My cat was sick. Wife dropped him off for an overnight stay. They gave him back covered in urine (can only hope that it is his own). What kind of vet gives a cat back in this condition? $1000 later and they just hand him back covered in urine and who knows how long he was like that before she picked him up. Sickening. If you’re going to go anywhere, go to the one in Ancaster. Much more professional and they actually look after your pet. No animal should be treated like this.

I came here to buy cat food but due to covid you can't go in so I stood outside and called. I could see a few girls at the desk but no one answered. Called two more times with no answer. During this time I had two different girls come out looking for pets, not one acknowledged that I was standing there. No one greeted me or even gave me eye contact. Finally a third girl comes out, doesn't look at me so I say excuse me, could I please get a bag of cat food, she turns and looks at me with a super mean look and says you have to call, I can't help you. I said I called 3 times and she says you're gonna have to keep trying so I just left. Horrible customer service.

In September, I brought my 4 month old kitten into Beatties on Upper Centennial after an unfortunate accident at our home. The vet told me she definitely required stitches as soon as possible - but wouldn’t be able to get her stitches until the morning (this was at 8: 30pm) because they didn’t have an oncall surgeon to complete stitches. He also suggested that she get an xray of her mouth “just in case”. The vet made it sound like the X-ray was just to rule out any further injury, but didn’t press any urgency. He also said that they didn’t have the equipment for the xray. At this point, I reached out to a different vet in Brantford and explained the situation and asked if they could take my kitten in for stitches. The vet from Brantford wanted to speak to the vet at Beatties. After the vet met with another patient, he spoke to the vet in Brantford privately. While I’m still in the room waiting, the Brantford vet calls me and tells me that my kitten has a fractured jaw! The vet from Beatties never told me anything past he “might suggest a xray of her mouth just in case”. I was devastated. I’ve heard good things about Beatties and horrible things about Beatties. Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience and vow to never return to Beatties. Why have Emergency hours but not be able to provide emergency services?

Shoutout to Brant Norfolk Vet Clinic on Lynden Rd in Brantford. This is where I typically go for any after hour services but recently moved so thought I would go somewhere closer. What a mistake.

I called Beatties Pet Hospital as my parents dog needed to see ASAP. We managed to get an appointment 2 hours after I called which was extremely helpful. They were very courteous, kind and very good even with Covid rules. I know some people complain about wait time, even the people that manage to get in early before their scheduled appointment time. How they can complain about wait time when they were taken early is beyond me. Some people are just not happy unless they're complaining. Again 5 Stars for Beatties Pet Hospital and staff. Thank you so much for your great service!

Worst vet I have ever visited in Hamilton. Had to take my cat to emergency vet two days later. Dr. Salib Mansour was rough with my very sick animal during the examination and lectured my cat that he should know that he is trying to help him when my cat was crying out. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough. The only thing he got straight was that my cat had an infection.which was obvious.

Great staff! Very nice and willing to help.
Very comfortable with my pets going here. So much cheaper than the vet we used for the last 8 years.
Also they have safe practices in place during Covid.
Totally recommend trying them out.

Took my cat in because he was showing signs of distress. The vet didn't take a urine sample, he just felt around, and prescribed antibiotics and pain killers without even knowing what the problem was. Then charged an outrageous amount for 15 minutes. Still not sure if my cat has crystals or a UTI. Maybe put some time and money into actually caring for the animals.
