A very nice small place to grab a snack. There were a lot of options to choose from and the staff were nice. I ordered the apple pie beaver tail and it tasted really good. The stretchy bread and warm apples were really good together. I will definitely come back for more. I recommend this place.

To preface this review I should state that I generally avoid sugar and was only trying this as a cultural experience.
But I found these overly sweet and lacking in flavour (as is often the way with overly sweet foods) and decidedly MESSY to eat - I had to eat it fast because it was falling apart AND dripping every where, go to the bathroom immediately after to clean up as best I could, then wipe down everything again once I got home. I ordered the maple one and the syrup even got on my shoes. As I say, MESSY.

Went to the Byward Market one in Ottawa. Very unorganized, there is no rope or anything to differentiate between ordering & already ordered. Once ordered there is no numbering system to let you know your order is ready. You have to listen for what you ordered being called out. Quite difficult if there are many people there at once.

It is located in the busy area of the market. The place is really busy and takes upto 10mins per order. The customer service which is provide is really good. The beavertrail is just yum yum yum. Must try and get yourself a dessert

Try the avalanche and you'll love it. It's crowded with tens of customers, but they are very quick. It's just a different pastry experience. 10/10

Very tasty. It's like a deep-fried crepe with toppings. You probably don't want one every day, but nice to try.

I love the service. The workers there are so kind and sweet the girls there are lovely. The owner gave us 1 free beaver tail because we were lost and called them and are from Windsor she’s such a nice lady! Thank you so much BeaverTails we love you and would recommend this to everybody!

Visiting Ottawa would not be complete without indulging in the iconic BeaverTail, and my recent experience with the Hazelnut BeaverTail was nothing short of amazing.

Located conveniently in the heart of the city, the BeaverTail outlet is a delight for anyone with a sweet tooth. The menu boasts a variety of flavors, but the one that stole the show for me was the Hazelnut BeaverTail.

Served warm with a generous spread of deliciously rich and creamy hazelnut spread, the BeaverTail was a true treat. The pastry itself was the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The subtle sweetness of the dough paired exceptionally well with the decadent hazelnut spread, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that had me reaching for the next bite before I’d even finished the first.

The serving size was more than satisfactory, and despite its richness, the Hazelnut BeaverTail never felt overwhelming. The pastry was consistently delicious from the first bite to the last.

The staff were friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. If you're in Ottawa and have a penchant for sweet treats, I highly recommend trying the Hazelnut BeaverTail. It’s an indulgence that's absolutely worth it!

This is an awesome stop and lovely food.fast food.just a squished flat doughnut.but so good. My only issue.so popular there is always a lineup.but that might add to why it tastes good.

Cannot visit the Byward Market and not sample a Beavertail. A must for any out of town visitor to Ottawa. Fried dough with cinnamon is the basic Beavertail, several add-on variations add to the taste and delight of sampling a Beavertail.

Delicious treat to have while walking through the market. Never had something this unique before. It’s basically a doughnut but rolled flat.

As always Beavertails is simply delicious. It’s more expensive so it’s just an occasional treat for me but I always enjoy it. Keep in mind this location is in the Byward Market so parking is not easy to get to. This is more of an ideal stop for if you’re having a day downtown in the market or Rideau Center.

There are many forms of fried dough, but this one is definitely unique tasting. I went with the og classic, cinnamon and sugar on the first night. It was delicious! It's worth trying while visiting Canada. It lives up to the hype. There are other delicious looking flavors available but I think the classic is a must! I had the Maple the next day and while still delicious, I still preferred the classic.

A true Ottawa gem. BeaverTails are always worth going to… I’m just not a huge fan of this location. I didn’t feel super safe at night. Regardless, the desserts were amazing.
