I now know why I don’t take BECK - driving on Wellington today at 2: 30pm one of your drivers had a customer and was driving in and out of the parked cars unsure of where hes going thats a huge problem - when we honked at him he gave us the finger! Very nice! He’s in the wrong and he had a customer in the cab! If you’re wrong you’re wrong! Blanket email all your drivers about etiquette and manners. He is a representative of Beck if he’s driving a Beck taxi! So ignorant!

Well after not taking taxi for over 10 years I was shock to find out they still don’t have tap for debit.driver was annoyed when he found out I didn’t have a debit card which was understandable but at the same time …. Do better and get with the times

Horrible Service. Driver charged me additional $25 to lift 7bags into the van (took less than 7min). First he called it a moving fee, then he called it a cargo fee. He spent the whole trip trying to convince me that he had done me a favor. No!

Tried to use this taxi twice. Reserved a pick up time 4 hours ahead of time. Waited 45 min after the pick up time. No taxi. Sorta sucks seeing I was on crutches and my son in a wheelchair. 39degrees out. Apparently they send out your reservation to any available taxis at the reservation time. If it’s not a long trip, no one takes it because there isn’t enough money to be made. So no one takes the job. Why take reservations then?

You should be ashamed of yourselves. A handicapped gentleman with his sons in from the U. S needed a taxi to his bank. They were going from far east one of Scarborough to just inside Pickering. Dropped off but found out after that Beck's doesn't have anyone available for a long time when done. This is Unacceptable. I am sick to my stomach to watch these men try you or anybody to pick them up. You Stink.

Kind of weird how they immediately ask how you're paying when you get in, and then always tell you that the card reader is "not working". (No, I can't stop at the bank on the way. I'm running late, that's why I flagged down a cab. It's frustrating that they've got you where they want you and they really leverage it.)

The cab guy ripped me off He saw I was out of town as he picked me up from bus station and charged me even 50 dollaars plus tip I should have known he did not have the meter machine on. I figured out he overcharged me. Because I put the same direction in Uber app and it was 25 dollars? Buyer be aware

Déjà vu! This is what my experience with Beck!

Beck denied service to ALL residents of a retirement residence due to an unsettled small amount ($14) with a single client (who is very much willing to pay afterwards - debit payment is just not an option when you call their number and pay, only CC or cash paid in person at their main office). The main number of the Residence is mostly used to book for a taxi service and denying service for other patrons would be inconsiderate and it would be a loss on their part. This was explained to an agent about the issue and seem to understand the situation and said that she will remove the block on the phone number and will only deny service on the specific client until the owing is settled. When a call for service was made the following day, service was denied again. It was frustrating as there was no note from previous agent and had to explain the whole story again and had to convince the other agent to provide service. This seems to me that they care less of the complaint that was made and doesn't take it seriously.

Several years ago, I was denied service as well after an incident when asked by a stranger to call a taxi on her behalf as she left her phone at home. The lady apparently ran away with her payment and Beck was collecting the payment from me and ended up blocking my number and denying service using my phone number when I refused to pay as I was just there to help her call a cab!

Driver switched my card with a fake one and withdrew 600 dollars. I called beck taxi to report the driver but they really weren’t concerned or interested and basically hung up on me. 10/10 would recommend

Looking to take taxi from Ontario Science Centre back downtown to our hotel. It took about 30 seconds total using the Beck app to request a cab at our location. The app said one would be dispatched and it's arrival was to be 1 min later. Depending on traffic lights, our taxi showed moments later. Took Beck both ways. Both drivers were friendly, conversed about their job, the traffic and driving in the greater Toronto area.
What more to say.

I am really disappointed as i had ordered a taxi to my pickup location and the driver didn't have a meter on the whole time he was driving.now he still charged me which was unfair considering the policies are if meter is not on its free.i called in and the customer service lady did nothing but say “we will talk to him about it “ this is unacceptable!

Tried to hail an already waiting taxi after leaving a concert at the Budweiser Stage. Upon trying to open the door it was locked. Driver had window open and asked where we were going. We hold him. He quoted a ridiculous flat rate of $50. I refused and he said $40…. This should be approximately a $13 fare….
Aren’t cabs supposed to be a meter based fare?
Uber is king. No wonder why people are gravitating towards the ride sharing services. I will never use Beck Taxi again.
Many others leaving the show had the same experience.

My daughter tried to get in two beck taxis at midnight after she got off the train. Both taxi drivers refuse to pick her up. She was alone at the time as her friends went on the Go train. One said the ride was to short to leslieville! She is young but she makes more than $30 dollars an hr in IT. I told her to use Beck but never again!

My dad's been a taxi driver since the 80s and I've being supportive of taxi drivers and make sure to tip them whenever I feel they've done a good job. He was with Beck for number of years. Uber has taken over their industry, I welcome the change. I do not have any sympathy for the current generation of taxi drivers. I live in the city and I have always been denied service or offered ridiculous rates just to get home. Today's incident involved having my wife get home safely, and as usual she was denied services because we live in the city and are not a big enough fare. This is a regular occurrence for me and people like me who live in the city and just want a safe ride home. This is UNACCEPTABLE and exactly how that poor girl died outside of music nightclub a few years back. Cabs cannot be trusted. In this latest example, it was cab A370 of Beck taxi. Thank you for pretending you have a preexisting fare to Markham then not being able answer basic questions of what their name was when you get called out for lying. I appreciate the Uber driver we managed to get to take my wife home after several Beck taxis denied her service because "we live too close" and they can only drop us off 10 minutes away for $50.

I always thought this was illegal, but I guess none of these can drivets really care about getting people home safely. Thanks for nothing Beck.

This is a mixed review, and it doesn't apply only to Beck, but somebody's got to call this out.
1'st of all, when you call the Beck dispatch, their reps are super cool, nice, and ready to help you get to where you need to be. They retain your name in their system, so the service is nicely personalized, and the drivers who have picked me up have been great 5 Stars to Beck for that!

However. I had a very discouraging experience this past Saturday night at Ontario Place. The Honda Indy was on, so there were big road closures in effect for the whole weekend, and getting into the Ontario Place grounds was slightly - only slightly - more complicated than usual. You could access via Rememberance Drive which enters into the eastern parking lot of Ontario Place from east of Strachan Avenue.

Many cabs - some with Beck banners, others with Coop etc. When I tried to flag them as they were entering the grounds, when I asked them if they were available, and their lights were on - so I assumed they were - they asked me where I was going and demanded a flat rate, then drove away when I asked them why not just use the meter?

I was so angry after about ten of these scammers refused me that I wanted to start yelling at them and calling them criminals.

Finally - thanks to Beck's dispatcher, one cab came in specifically to pick me up - I tipped him 20%.

I have been making the effort to use Taxis and have sympathized with them in light of the threat Uber poses to their livelihood; however, this past Saturday night left me bitter, wishing I had video taped and recorded every single one of these extortionistic cabbies who refused me a ride because I wouldn't pay their ridiculous flat rates.

Thanks to those guys, I am going back to Uber - wow - talk about treating a potential customer like a piece of $hit.go ahead cabbies - shoot yourselves in the feet - you've eviscerated my sympathy for your plight.

Thank you Beck Dispatch for helping me and MAJOR thank you to the Beck cabbie who DID get me home - a true gentleman and scholar.

The driver tried to scam me. I ordered a taxi to Pearson Airport and was told that it was a flat fare of $63. When the driver arrived be nad the meter running and then tried to charge me $98 for the ride. Even the Beck screen with the GPS and the order had the flat fare. When confronted he corrected the fare. He also ran a red light and drove like a maniac. Never again.

Last night we grabbed a cab after the TFC game back to Mississauga. The driver, sadly we didn't get his name, was so much fun to talk to. He had a great sense of humour and massive driving skills, had us home in no time, safe and sound. Somehow my wallet had dropped out of my purse and he hadn't gone very far when he realized this. He came back to our place to return it! Totally made our day complete. I'd give 10 stars if I could, thanks so much for this top notch service, wish we got hi name

Beck taxi has always been a great service. The driver I had picked me up quickly which was great since I was taking my car home from the vet. He asked how my cat was doing and made sure the ride was smooth

I'd recommend Beck Taxi to everyone.

It's been years since I took a Beck taxi. Forgot how much better they are than Uber. My taxi to the airport cost $40 less than Uber's estimate and the taxi was clean, spacious and the driver was great and knowledgeable. Even when calling to request the taxi, the dispatch guy was super nice and friendly. I think I'm honestly done with Uber and their lousy fleet of unskilled drivers with junk cars and reprehensible, non-existent customer service. Beck Taxi for the win.

I always look both ways before crossing the street even when I have the green light. Today was no different; I get half way through the cross walk and the Beck Taxi Cab thinks he has enough time from a dead stop to run the red and turn left in front of 2 full northbound lanes of cars nearly running me over in the process. He ALSO had a passenger in the vehicle.

I was mere inches from the vehicle and was nearly hit. THIS is how accidents happen, careless drivers being allowed to ferry all across the city unchecked.

Waited for 45 minutes in the cold. Ended up calling another taxi service.when I ordered said it would be there in 4 1/2 minutes. Then I noticed on the app that the driver was driving further away til he was about 8 min away on the map. When taxi was supposed to be around 3 minutes away, the app had told me that the taxi was here but he wasn't. Finally after like half an hour, the cab pulls into the parking lot (about 60-70 feet away from where I requested pick-up. He parked his car, but does not come to the entrance of store. I tried waving to see if he would notice but to no avail. So then he pulls out of the parking lot and drives away my app then tells me to have a nice trip in my beck taxi. Gee thanks for making me stand outside in the cold for almost 45 minutes!

The driver couldn't even open the door as I had to walk down the block to get in the vehicle with a baby in a carseat, he was being lazy to drive around the block since it was a one way street. Didn't have my car for a few days.

Just had an awful experience and almost missed my appointment. Despite having called over an hour in advance to book a van cab to take my dog and I to our vet appointment.
No one called to tell me they weren't coming. No customer service to speak of.
I would think that calling an hour ahead of time, on a regular weekday afternoon (called at 1: 15pm to be picked up at 2: 15pm) would be plenty of time to get a cab. No cab ended up coming but I was assured twice while I was waiting that it would. I ended up walking up the street and hailing a car from a different company and just making it to my emergency appointment in the nick of time.
I had requested a van and when I called the third and last time I was told "sorry but there's just not that many vans. " That's fine, is what it is, but someone could have asked me if a car would work if no vans were available. Or do the bare minimum of telling me a van is not on the way when I communicate that I now have 15 minutes to get to my destination.
Really bad communication and service from dispatch. If I didn't live next to a major street with regular cab traffic I would have completely missed an extremely important appointment (My dog hurt his paw and was limping, he needed to see the vet asap) despite having called in with plenty of notice. Pretty frustrating experience.

The company said there isn't anything they can do about it. I called the company and the man on the other line said there isn't anything they can do about it.

My wallet fell out of my pocket in a Beck Taxi and I was afraid all was lost. I hailed the Taxi so I was unable to track my driver. The friendly dispatcher helped me find him using my debit info. Thank you to Shanice for doing an amazing job and the honest Taxi driver for holding on to my wallet for 2 days and bringing it back to me. Best Taxi company in Toronto that truly cares about their riders.

Worse taxi service and drives who drives the van always try to Rip you off I call they sent a van a small kitchen rug the driver is asking for 10$ extra that's ridiculous.they call me back saying I need a van how the hell is it possible for beck to tell me what I need. For the last year I've been using beck at least once a week. They have my number on file so the know locations, name and everything else! Last time I got a taxi I ordered a van because I had a double stroller that needed to be fitted in the back. Upony arrival the taxi driver asked for $10 extra for the stroller. I said there must be a mistake because I usually pay $3 or $4 for it but he insisted so I had to call the head office. The person on the phone told me that legally I don't have to pay the fee because he didn't inform me before entering the car and there wasn't an agreement. When I told the driver that his whole psychology changed, he acted crazy and started yelling. He said don't pay anything and he got into the car. I asked him to pay for my ride which was 20 dollars, he closed the window and drove away! Now Beck isn't sending me a taxi because I didn't pay my ride? Like what? I'm not a thief and I always pay my rides. That taxi driver needs to be out of business

Called to ask for a taxi. After a long wait outside, got a call saying they “were still trying to find a taxi”. If there was going to be a long wait, they should tell customers beforehand so they make alternative arrangements. Ubers are expensive, but they at least show up on time.

I take Beck taxi several times a week and find them to be very prompt and very polite. They often ask me mt choice of route. Occasionally they don't seem to know where they are going or are unwilling to use their gps which can feel a little shifty since they only let me know they don't know the route several minutes into the ride. I often use a taxi because I myself am unsure of how to get to a certain location. But for the most part I find the company to be solid.

Called Beck, they said it wasn’t one of their cars. Which is odd since I called a Beck cab, and the cab that arrived said “Beck” on it.

Driver's are dishonest. One of them backed into my daughter's car in a Tim Hortons parking lot on Lawrence Avenue East and took off after causing over $5000 damage. If you see one of their cars with white paint and damage to the rear of the vehicle, please report it.

The last three times I contacted Beck Taxi they were at my door within 10 minutes. When it comes to taxis, I find the less to talk about them, the better. My short drive in all three instances was uneventful, safe and efficient. And of course, comfortable. Exactly what I would expect from a taxi ride!

Two terrible rides in one week. New to Toronto and will avoid this company at all cost. Could elaborate but would be a waste of my time.
Using Lyft or Uber is a much better idea. Cheaper and better capabilities for consumer and provider. All my driver cared about was his profit and not my personal safety. Perhaps it was just situational with my driver but hard to swollow.

I use Beck Taxi a lot and have no complaints. Their drivers are not only held to a high standard for safety and behaviour, I always seem to get genuinely nice people with interesting stories. Uber isn't an option for me, since I don't feel safe and don't find the drivers have enough knowledge or experience.
I'm currently in another company's cab and the driver is clearly inexperienced and nervous. It's fine and we all start somewhere, but it's not what makes me feel comfortable as a passenger.
If I want a reliable, on-time and safe driver, I always call Beck.

Very poor service, wound give zero stars if I could. I called for a cab and waited over 20 minutes in the cold while my driver was “5 minutes away”. Kept calling as I had a company taxi chit but they kept saying the same thing. Why is it so difficult to create an organized pick up system? Uber and Lyft have done it. If my company didn’t mandate us using them I would never have used them. I take Uber and Lyft for person trips. They are more organized and efficient.

Hailed a cab from Spadina and College, after exiting the cab, I realized the driver had swapped my Debit card for a fake. By the time I cancelled my card he had maxed out my withdrawals for the day. I called Beck immediately and they refused to provide assistance stating there was no possible way they could determine which diver was responsible and that they were not responsible for the actions of their staff.
This is not the first time Beck's customer service has been worse than useless when it came to their drivers commiting a criminal offense to me, but it will be the last time I get in a Beck taxi.

This Driver is a Thug he was blocking my driveway & I couldn't get access to my garage, to add insult to injury he insulted me in abusive language & threatened to assault me, refused to move his van. I called Beck Taxi & complained to Two people & a supervisor, they just couldn't get the Driver to move the van, they said that they are helpless in this situation. He blocked my entry for over 55 minutes until his Customer came. He even went on to say that the owners are just puppets & that he is an owner Driver & they cannot do anything to him. I told him that I will call the Police & he said go ahead that nobody can do anything to him. He was extremely uncouth spitting whilst using abusive language & kept mocking me. I wonder if he was impaired in some way.
I have used Beck Taxi over the years however I will Never use them again because they employ Thugs. To everyone that uses their service be careful!

Writing this review in the back of a Beck Taxi (taken not by personal choice). As a business owner, if I owner Beck Taxi I would be very concerned with the lack of control and governance exhibited by the drivers. Every time I get into one of these taxis for a trip over 5 minutes I expect to witness a variety of driving infractions and general displeasure and discomfort of riding in the back of one.

Booked a taxi for 4.45am to airport, nothing came. At 4.55am, I called, she asked to call again to check, I called at 5.05, she said unfortunately no taxi is assigned to you but I will make it priority though. Seriously? After 20 mins of booking time, you have nothing assigned when the booking was confirmed. Then, I used Uber, it came in 2 mins and charged less money. I still had the courtesy to call back to cancel my booking and that person was not even apologetic. With this service, they are going downhill. I always used their taxu to stay old school, the times have changed.

I'm at a wedding in concord and called for a wheelchair accessable cab. They confirmed my address and said 20 minutes. They called me 20 minutes later only to tell me that a) they didnt have a cab for me, and b) that they dont pick up from this location.

So why wouldn't you tell me that in the first place instead of confirming and giving us false hope? We are stranded now trying to find a way home and the subway is no longer in service. You have ruined what was an amazing event for us and have deeply impacted a family in such a negative way.

Thank you for leaving a quadriplegic and his parents stranded. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I keep trying to give Beck a chance however, I keep getting the worst possible experience. When I call it at times it takes more than 10 minutes to get a taxi and some times it never shows up! When I use the app, the driver gets confused on the pick up location and keeps going around in circles and still takes 10 minutes or more. Most of my rides I have a grumpy/angry drivers for no reason who don’t even say hello or get out to help. One driver yelled at me for only putting an intersection and not the actual address. This is my last time ever using beck taxi. Uber and lyft both are faster and have better customer service. I suggest to download uber or lyft to avoid a taxi.

I am on disability since July 10 2018 and interacting with W. S. I. B and Beck. And Honestly the dispatchs need to wake up. Today October 4 2018, they called me back to asked me the adress destination. Seriously we are doing the same itinerary for months now. They called me 5 minutes later for asking me again the destination adress. Common Fuc&^%g wake up! The real problem is not Drivers, 95% of time the service is excellent. The real problem is the Dispatchs and bad customers. Beck surely need a Union to helped them follow Ontario Rules!

Reviews here are quite accurate about this taxi company. Called a cab to take me and my family to the airport this evening and told extra $10 for the luggage’s which I accepted. Arrived Pearson and the driver said it was an extra $20! Totally inept and Shylock cab company. Avoid if you can!

If I could give a negative number that would too good.at a gas pump station, cab #800 decided to queue jump.didn't happen the way he originally wanted, but left me with 2 inches of hose to fill my tank.

'next time leave some space for another car' he could stopped 1 foot back.then he tells me to talk to station owners about his parking.when he comes back he's arguing more.total disrespect for other drivers.makes me wonder if any taxi driver, beck or other, have valid licenses and if they care about anyone else besides themselves.

I tried to pre-arrange a cab as I was right for time between appointments and the dispatcher refused my request as I asked to be picked up at a restaurant.

Took a trip from Distillery District to Habourfront Center. The meter showed $10.50. We gave the driver (an old man with a beard) $15 and he didn’t want to return the left-over. We had no luggage at all, simply a short hop-on and he required almost 40% tip? We do not mind to tip him but this is greedy and money hungry. Tip should be voluntarily decided by customers, not by stealing it!

When I ask for the change, he turned to be very rude “you want some change? OK! ” And throw to me 1 loonie, 1 25cent and 1 10cent, I mean whatever he picked up from his wallet and did not forget to make sure that it was not too much before THROW them to my hand. So from a customer now I am a begger to him.

You can tell how angry I was but because I have guests with me. I will never use Beck Taxi again by any chances.

Just had a most disgusting experience with the supervisor name Amanda.

Iam sorry, but when I ask "what's the additional charge for extra lagedge? " She says I don't know. She argues with me when I ask "how much money should I have with me? " She says I don't know.speak with the driver. How do I know how much money do I prepare?

Baciclay i was gona go to the airport and i don't know if will use that horrable service.
Most likely I will order UBER or LYFT

She sounded soo bad on the phone, I wish she gets fired. She is no one to speak to me the way she did. Considering iam ordering your services for long time.
