Beds for Tails Kennels

We have used the services at Beds for Tails Kennels on two separate occasions recently and I felt it important I leave a review based on the service we received. One stay was approximately a week and a half and the other a week long. It’s always hard to judge how the dogs enjoy a kennel visit as they cannot talk … but Lewis’ excitement when we pulled into the kennel driveway on our second stay said everything I needed to know about Beds for Tails Kennels. His tail wagging, barking, and then pulling me into the kennel when I let him out of the car. The staff instantly recognized him, calling him by name and were friendly and courteous. They even went out of their way to give me condolences regarding a family member that passed. This was the reason for our second, unexpected, kennel visit.

From our first visit to the second … wow. What a change. You can tell there are new owners or new management as things are really on the move. There are massive new fenced in areas at the back and front of the kennel that were added for our second visit and the parking lot was expanded.

All to say, despite the drive being a bit further than our previous kennel choice, we are happy to make the extra drive knowing Lewis is well looked after.

Greg and his team took such great care of our pup Ghosty! The staff are professional and caring. Our pup came home exhausted after his fun days at Beds for Tails- evidence of an active day! I cannot recommend Beds for Tails enough. From the easy to use online booking system, to the seamless drop offs/ pickups, the whole experience could not be any better. So happy we found this place! This was our first time boarding our westie. Staff made drop off and pickup so easy, they really took care of our Cali and we didn’t worry when we were away! Staff was very informative at drop off and took all our needs as a priority. We will be back.

Highly recommend Jessica here! She always made my Pomeranian, Rosie, look and smell beautiful! She was very responsive to messages and understanding when things came up.

I found beds for tails when I moved to Ottawa, hoping it could be a new daycare for my pup. The first day I sent her, was the last.
Upon drop off, I had asked for a pic or quick video, for reassurance, to make sure my nervous pup was doing ok, and playing with the other pups.
Upon pick up, my pup was nervous, to be expected. But I never received the picture or video, and instead, got very vague feedback. “She did well”

When I asked about the pictures, I was told that they are too busy to actively attend to these requests. I worked at a kennel for over 5 years, and taking a couple minutes to give your client that peace of mind is totally worth it.

I had mentioned this kennel to a friend to check out while on vacation. When they picked their dog up, they also received very vague feedback.

Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this kennel.

Stella always has a great time here and the staff are wonderful. She comes home clean and exhausted.

We are truly grateful to everyone here for letting us bring our old granddog to this wonderful place. The grounds, the staff, are wonderful.

Such a great experience! We were gone for almost 3 weeks and I did not worry about my dog at all! Easy drop off/pick up. Excellent communication and my dog was so happy and healthy upon pick up. Thank you to the team! I’ll be back:)

I absolutely love this kennel for my little puppy. He is well looked after and loves the staff!

Great local service! Our pup has been for doggy daycare as well as long term stay. He always comes back well socialized and ready for a good nap!
