I thought I'd be gouged on pricing given proximity to Down Town, but it was very comparable to the suburbs, which is awesome. Most importantly, the staff here are EXTREMELY helpful.the more junior guys check in to make sure you're finding what you need, while the more senior guys are very very informed and have great ideas to share. Ian spent a good 30 minutes (maybe even 45) with me walking through garden design principles that people use, plants to consider, design concepts to think about. They offer a design service, and I was informed of this option, but Ian was honest and didn't try to sell me on it, instead giving me his time and ideas and inspiration. I went back the next weekend (with some drawings as he'd recommended I work on) and got pointers (!) and help with grabbing the plants.
I'm a "nursery hopper" on spring/summer weekends, and absolutely no other garden center compares in the level of helpfulness and attentiveness I get from these guys on the regular basis. SO SO SO highly recommend!

Super friendly customer services. I was looking for high-end rose plants. She took time to understand my expectations and informed me to check after 7 to 10 days as they are expecting huge amounts of plants soon.

Very friendly staff! Answered all our questions and gave us some advice as very novice gardeners. Good selection of plants and trees and soil all reasonably priced.

Picked out a lovely Christmas tree with the help of the most friendly staff. Highly recommend for a variety of tree types and sizes along with good looking fresh wreaths.

We bought our Christmas tree here a couple years in a row - despite the shortages they've always had some variety of tree in stock when other places haven't.

We bought our tree (fraser fir) a little bit early this year, but sadly it seems like the tree was already quite old. It's only been 5 days and it's turned quite yellow. It hasn't drank any water since we got it which would indicate the tree was already about as dead as it gets right from the get go.

Better luck next time, I guess.

This year, we ordered a Christmas tree from here and the tree is so beautiful, it makes me a little giddy! It's perfect.

Also, everyone was so accommodating and understanding with respect to the logistics of delivery in unexpected circumstances (i.e. Timing and a broken elevator). Thank you so much!

Fantastic service with a great result. They took the empty, sad planter boxes in front of our building and made them look great! They showed up within a few days of our initial contact and installed everything. They even broom swept all of leaves that had accumulated in and around the planters *and* the sidewalk. Thank-you so much!

All garden centers sell the same plants. What differentiates them is a level of service they provide to customers. The Beech Nursery was exceptionally helpful, guiding me, explaining, and, most importantly, not trying to upsell. As a new gardener, that's exactly what I needed. Although this is already the end of the season, and I didn't buy much, I will make sure I will do all my spring purchases there.
I wish I had asked for the name of the guy who was helping me.

Visited today for some help filling a planter for my front porch. Staff walked me through many different, lovely options and I walked away with everything I needed, including advice.

My go to place in the east end of Toronto for anything for the garden. They have a very supportive staff that are willing to go the extra mile. I've been able to find whatever I've been looking for here, from mulch to plants, and if they can't find it.they'll get it for you. Great selection and great service from this outdoor nursery. Will be back the next time I need any type of landscaping.

I have to say that that the Fafard pine bark nuggets sold here are so much better than the CIL product sold everywhere, which has a lot of shredded whatever in it.

I'll be back again for some large hosta when it warms up. The perennials I have purchased here have done well.

We went today to get a couple of plants for my girls. The staff was very helpful suggesting good options for our space and Grace was very patient as she explained to my daughters how to care for their new plants. Wonderful customer service!

This is a really lovely nursery.
Their indoor section is gorgeous and a favourite spot of mine. I have gone here to pick up a new baby ok tough days and have always left feeling cheered up.
Their outdoor area is lovely too, but tight to navigate. The outdoor staff seemed less than excited about their jobs - we saw them snapping at each other and appeared exhausted.

We would not recommend this nursery, in fact, we’ll never buy from them again. We purchased a Pacific Fire and Jessica Maple in April 2021. We explained to the staff that we lived in a condo and that they would be planted in large planters on our terrace. They said it would be completely fine. We have four large trees in large planters that have lived quite happily for approx 10 years (pictures attached). As for the trees purchased from Beeches Nursery, we brought them home and noticed after about four days that both trees had been infested with some type of black bugs. When we called them to get direction how to treat the trees, we received no help. "Use Safer Soap", or “spray them with water”. That didn’t work. By the end of August one tree had completely lost all its leaves. We thought we would wait until spring to see if it would come back to life, but no. We had sent pictures of the bugs and the manager said to us “ I don’t know what they are”. I assumed she was the professional and would know. I guess not. We called and requested a credit or refund and they told us that there was no guarantee if planted in containers. The 2nd tree has so far survived, using a mix of water, dish soap and neem oil (not suggested by the nursery), spraying every week for the last three weeks. We are not happy with the service and the lack of help from this nursery. Shop at your own risk.

Christmas tree fail (s)

Typically Beech Nursery has been good to us and the trees were fresh. But this year the Tree mark up was near 50%. We had to return our first tree because the trunk was severely split up the middle and wasn't structurally sound (not sure how everyone missed it, including us). The second tree drops a dust pan full of needles a day since we got it.and at this rate I don't see it making it to Christmas. Very sad, but I don't think we'll return.

Great selection of bulbs and shrubs, friendly and helpful staff! Had a great experience and would definitely shop here again!

For a nursery, the prices are standard to plant shops not nurseries.nurseries tend to have better pricing, some of the plant prices here are even pricier than regular plant shops.what shame.these guy seem to be eating off the top more than the regular plant shop which is a big red flag to me.

I stopped in to speak with someone about issues with some of my tree's and Michaela took the time to speak with me. She made suggestions, didn't rush me and didn't try to sell me new trees. I appreciated the help and the next time I need to go to a nursery I will be going to Beech Nursey!

Very helpful place. Took time to provide advice and we are happy with purchases. We’ll be back.

Helpful staff. We only got one endless summer hydrangea but we wish got more. I wish we discovered them first. By far the best nursery we could find and so helpful.

Great spot for your outdoor garden needs. Now that they are opening an indoor option, they got it all covered.
