Very races server, I don't like the way that she deals with us comparing to her culture.
I will never come back to this place.

If you want your business to grow then teach your workers to respect everyone.

Garbage! Ordered seafood pad Thai…huge mistake. Barely any seafood, no peanut or lime? ! Dripping in ketchup sauce. Need I say more…disgusting disaster.

One of my favorites in town! The food is always so fresh and delicious and the staff are always so polite. Usually not overcrowded.

I personally love the pho, the grilled chicken skewers or the fried salt and chili fish.

I recently had a disappointing dine-in experience that served the worst green curry I have ever had. The dish lacked flavor, with a watered-down taste and a lack of spices and herbs. The overcooked and mushy vegetables added to the disappointment leaving me unsatisfied. I approached the management and they said that this is the way this establishment cooks it. The service was disinterested and inattentive. I would not recommend ordering the green curry at this restaurant. Seek out a different establishment for an authentic and satisfying dining experience.

I'm really not the kind of person who leaves a place waiting to do a review - whether it's positive or negative.
But in cases as being EXTREMELY positive I do. And when EXTREMELY negative, I do it too.
And in this case I need to notify: because I had a bad experience in this place tonight!
The food was pleasant to my taste buds. But the guy hostess me in the door and a old woman who serves the table are extremely unpleasant.
This same woman who serves the tables had the audacity not to want to change my coke that was already watery and there was less than a finger left. And look, I only had 2 glasses. Her seemed uncomfortable with my presence. I'm visiting the city and I confess that I've been to this restaurant before. I believe the woman is the same, but over time she is getting worse. The guy has never seen it before (Maybe he’s the owner’s son to treat people so bad like that). Or it must be the case of getting together and taking a vacation, maybe they are overloaded - and in this case I have empathy in understanding. But when we leave home to fulfill a job we must exercise it in an integral and excellent way! Even more so with the service to the public.
I've had dinner in this same place with two friends; alone; I didn't go countless times… but when I pass through the city I visit. So to make it clear that, this review is coming today because I felt like I was asking them for a favor. Or that it was a homeless person. And even if it was a homeless person that I'm not; I'm an elegant, kind, traveled person - you don't treat ANYONE this way!
I'm passionate about Asian culture, and the funny thing is that I never have bad experiences with them. I think people are cheerful, smiling, very receptive. Culturally they are wonderful and the food is a unique delicacy!
But that was not the case last night.
Of course 2 bad people will not make me think differently, but it is important to record my disappointment. In the end the guy even sighed deeply when I was paying as if to say: "Get out of here soon! "
I really don't know why this happened, I just wanted to have dinner alone, calm and happy. I’m leaves sad and more than sad - disappointed! Maybe one day I'll come back, maybe not. There are great Asian restaurant options next to them too. Suddenly it's my time to change. Asian religion teaches us to smile even with our hearts, I think these people lack that! Smile with your heart. After all, we are all passing through here. And life is short for so much antipathy!

Favourite Thai place in town by far! The lime soda with sugar cane and the vermicelli dishes are amazing.

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. They've changed a lot of things i.e. Sauces that used to come with food are not the same (and much worse), the bubble tea and smoothies are no longer any good, and the drinks came about half an hour after the food. Very difficult to catch the eye of the wait staff. Sadly just due to the decline in quality of the food we'll probably never go back.

It's deceiving how big the portions are compared to other restaurants. Make sure you know how much you're ordering so you don't feel nauseous.

Don’t bother coming here if you’re not of Asian descent. Came in for a pick up order that was on the counter and was ignored while 3 other people came in and were helped right away. Half of the time the pho is stale

Absolutely grossed out. The person making the bubble tea picked his nose and ears and never washed his hands. Thank god they didn’t have the flavour of bubble tea I wanted. I didn’t want him making it. I am disgusted and I’m not sure I want to order from here again.

Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Cambridge. Their pho is absolutely delicious, and the service is quick and friendly.

We have been going to Ben Thanh in this Cambridge location for years. The quality and service are excellent. We also love the option of getting Chinese Dim Sum items during the opening hours. The shrimp dumplings (Har-Gau) are large and delicious. Although the selections of the Dim Sum have been scaled down since pandemic, but the quality of the food is always good and consistent. The Vietnamese items are also wonderfully prepared. I liked the Bubble Tea there and would love to try all of them. Will highly recommend this restaurant!

Pretty solid, if not a little bland for what dish i ordered (chap chae w/ chicken). The sides with pepper, bean sprouts, pickled carrots and thai basil were awesome though.

We were here for the Easter Saturday lunch - all 11 of us. Nice dine-in place. Feels like you’re in a family setting. The decor is neat and eclectic options to choose in the menu.

The food was a bit spicy for most of us but I liked it. I liked the punch I felt that hit close to home. We all had a good time here that day.
Fresh edibles. Reasonable prices. Tasty lunch. Staff was friendly. They didn’t take much time to serve us which is great. Keep up the great work.

This is the best viet-thai place I have ever been. When I go I usually get the appetiser platter and the beef pho. This in my opinion is the greatest pair I've ever tasted. The waits are always short, food is always delectable, and the place is always calming and good smelling. If you want some good food do yourself a favor and get Ben Thanh.

Worse restaurant i ever been in the food was cold the dishes were dirty the tables were dirty not even wiped and there behavior was horrible not even helpful and the best thing about it all they steal money from people and the food is so expensive and they're that not okay you pay for expensive food probably for a recite that aint even yours and at the end they say there own tips thats 30 percent from the cost DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR and for the money u spend there u could js buy food at a diffrent restaurant maybe even twice

Looks like this place is under new management. Food is as good as before, and the staff are serving better and friendly.

Quite an unexpected experience with the Pad-Thais I had ordered for take out today. The dishes had tons of noodles and pretty tasteless. Other than that tofus and shrimps on them were really stale which made the dishes had smell like they were leftovers.
Still I am coming back to this place for other dishes especially their amazing vermicelli bowls. But not for the PadThai again!

Great team work. Staff can work under pressure. Friendly. Serving with gladness and joyful attitude. Pleasant and polite. Keep them, they are an asset at Ben Thanh.
Delicious food. Perfectly prepared and handled.

We went here for Mother's Day. The food was fine, but mom got the pineapple chicken fried rice. It was bland, very meh, and she wanted to send it back. We waited a half an hour for our server to return to even be able to ask that he take it away. There had only been a few bites taken, so we asked to have it removed from the bill. The server went to get the manager, and the manager asked if he and the staff could try it. So, we said sure, thinking that it would to test if it was bad. The manager returned and said that was how it was made and it was fine. Then they returned the rice they'd all eaten out of to us. So yeah, not so sure we'll be eating at this location again lmao.

Take out and dine in options are great! I may have over ordered but this delicious, large variety, meal for 6 people cost about $200. We also had left overs for two days. Well worth the value. Must try, their menu is very long and has so many great picks.

Good quality pho and complimentary foods. Great pricing. Went at night, able to get seating right away.

Review update- I don't like the fact you guys are putting less noodles and stale chicken. I was there 2 Saturdays ago and I was not pleased. Fix it!

I recommend the fish portion with rice served

I came for takeout. The lady at the front wasn't that friendly but let me tell you the food was amazing. I did takeout order, spicy fish and beef fried rice, and I ate the entire order in one sitting. Couldn't stop myself! Whenever I come back to these ends, I'll definitely come here.

We were starving so we ordered 2 pho and lamb skewer. But depite the fact we were starving, we couldnt finish our orders. They have no sriracha sauce at all not even similar ones and also they r not using proper hoisin sauce (dark brown sauce) either. The lamb skewer was terrible. It was not grilled. It was boiled lamb meat in skewer. It was so tough zero juicyness.
Most important part of all is pho. Pho soup was full of MSG, u can just taste all that in ur throat. I do not understand how they have such a high ratings. Everything was fake. I can see all their milkshakes and all are from powder. U can simply see them all behind the bar anyways. Terrible terrible
