Dinner was delicious, Kay our server was a delight. He smiled at every table, literally ran to get to his customers, don’t see someone working this hard these days
We will go back because of him!

Positive:
- The service was fast.

Negatives:
- A vegetarian soup was the worst that a guest had ever eaten at a restaurant for a soup in general. It had large pieces of tomato, chopped in different shapes, and tofu in a broth. This was it!
- The fresh rolls were also the worst that I had ever eaten at a restaurant. They had the bare minimum of ingredients.

Food was brutal lol. Used to go here all the time years ago but clearly things have changed. Restaurant was quite dirty and food was barely edible.

I never get disappointed with this restaurant, food always taste so good with very reasonable prices, keep the great job

Waited 50 minutes no food waiter finally came by said sorry cook was on his lunch if we wanted to wait he would now cook our meal

From bubble/bobba teas, quick bites to eat to a full menu of delicious options, this place has become one of our favorites in the area.
After visiting for several years, we have never had issues with products or services from this branch. Fresh and very well presented every single time.

I wish they could partner up with Uber Eats for delivery. I'd rather pick up than letting Doordash literally spill, spoil and destroy the good products and service from Ben Tanh.

Ben Thanh used to be one of my favourite Thai restaurants in KW but the Pad Thai I ordered for delivery last night was the worst I've ever had. The taste and texture reminded me of canned pasta and barely tasted like Pad Thai. Super disappointed.

Placed a take out order, could barely hear what the girl was saying over the phone. Went in to place the order instead, and she spent more time apologizing than working on the order. Had to pay multiple times because she forgot to enter the whole order all at once.
My chicken fried rice had seafood in it (squid).
This place used to be good.maybe only for dine in?

Pad Thai was the worst I have ever had. The sauce like ketchup and Siracha. Noodles were all glutinous and stuck together. I make my own and have had pad Thai all over the world and this was by far the worst! We couldn’t eat it, paid for an uneaten meal and went somewhere else. At no time did the staff off an alternative. The manager was angry that we didn’t like it!

Years ago, they made great fresh rolls and vermicelli bowls.

Today, the sauces were gross for both the bbq pork rolls and the vermicelli bowls.

Blubber in my rolls and little pork.

Not sure what their other dishes were like.

Vermicelli noodle bowls really lack meat. You will find a couple slices of pork and beef and one chicken thigh chopped up. Pho broth have been bland lately and not rich in flavour.

Love the food here and the prices are pretty good. Although I was pretty disappointed to get a soup that was half made. There was actually no flavor to the broth and some of the ingredients normally in it were missing. Since this was for pickup, I couldn’t exactly take it back easily, so I guess stick to dine in in case you get a whiff

Poor quality for a vietnamese restaurant.
BBQ pork rolls were made from who knew when. Asked to be re-made because I expect them to be fresh, not half a day in advance.

We were a large group which can be very difficult for servers, but I was impressed with the service quality and speed even with a group our size. We had made a mistake on our menu when filling out a part of our order, but it wasn’t an issue and was easily corrected by our servers.
The variety of food was overwhelming but mostly understandable. But with so much to try, you have to go a few times before you can get comfortable and confident with everything or enough of everything on the menu.
We will definitely be back again and will try completely different things on the menu.

Got some Chicken pad Thai and for some reason they gave me “extra spice”. I was in a rush so I wasn’t going to complain but it was practically inedible

I really enjoy the ben thanh in Cambridge and made the mistake of thinking the franchises were similar. Ordered chicken pad tai with tofu and beef pad siew. The noodles looked like they tossed it in some sauce and microwaved it. No work flavor at all.

There is no gluten free menu, no legend on the menu, and this is the first Thai restaurant I've ever been to where the staff do not understand allergies!
I ordered cashew chicken, which I was informed eventually by the staff had no wheat, and put GLUTEN FREE in all caps beside it on the paper. When it arrived, it was swimming in soy sauce. They made a new dish and the waiter mumbled sorry as he placed a new dish in front of me. No compensation was offered.
If you are looking for good Thai food where the staff actually care about allergens, go to Bangkok Cuisine down the street or Red Ginger, or even Thai Express in the mall!

I love this restaurant but yesterday's lunch made me reconsider. I got the vermicelli platter with BBQ pork and Vietnamese spring rolls. The Vietnamese spring rolls were really good but they forgot the sauce. However, the vermicelli platter didn't have half the ingredients on the dish as advertised, they forgot the sauce (which is the most important part) and the noodles were rock solid. Plus you used to get a lot of BBQ Pork like 6-8 months ago but now you barely get any. It's definitely not worth the price anymore, but if you do get it, please check to make sure all the sauces and ingredients are there.
