A vegetarian place with freshly made bhatura and lot of other stuff. This was my previous review Today dec 25 I placed a take out order of poori chana, at when I opened instead of poori, there are fried roties
I would not have given even 1 star if i have a option. Zero service and no menu available. When i asked for the same, they said to check online and top of that online menu prices are not updated. Even there is a message saying “out of order” in front of the washroom door and ironically only for the customers and not for the staff. I would never recommend to visit this place even to my enemies. Unhygienic and pathetic service. Total wastage of money and time.
Worst sweets. Today bought several sweets. All were stale and fore sure not fresh. Will never come here again. Dont sell sweets if you cant make fresh. I would like to return those sweets and owner should try. Worst place for sweets
Horrible food.the pav bhaji was the worst i ever had. We ordered 2 pav bhaji for take out and wen we came home one was missing. The noodles were even one disaster. Post covid its not the same would not recommend at all
Food was good, price very decent. It was crowded and I couldn't order other items I wanted. So I have reduced the overall rating. Once I make couple of visits I will update further.
I placed a catering order for 20 people for the long weekend. (Rice, Raita, Salad, Gulab Jamun, 3 Veg Dishes, Naan)
The food taste was very good and flavorful. However, I had a few issues with the quantity and quality:
Even though I ordered for 20 people, it was not enough food for 20 people except the naan. I will probably order take out face-to-face but I will not likely cater again from here.
We had Kadai Paneer and there was almost no paneer in the dish what-so-ever. It was tasty but there was literally no paneer so I was thinking what happened to this dish as this was the "premium dish". It was like a gravy of capsicum and onions.
The gulab jamun was one of the best I ever had.
Delivery was on time. Sukh took my order when I intially placed the order and she was super friendly and nice and explained the items and all to me.
Overall, its good food. Amazing sweets. However, I don't recommend for catering at all based on this experience.
Worst place to order food from…. I placed an order for something through doordash and I received something else and on top of that, the curries they send in their online order, they just add some water to it to increase the quantity…this is the worst place to order online from!
This is one of the best place to get chole Bature! The quantity and the size of the puri is amazing for the price as well. Must have once a week item from here.
Went there for the first time and I’m really amazed by this good taste in so cheap price! I got my order within a few minutes. The customer service was also very nice. I got large samosas and ras malai. The only thing I want to suggest is to give chutney with the samosas. All in all, they taste yumm! The ras malai came in really good portion and was delicious.
Bakwas food tasteless. Will never go again. It feels like the food was made by cook who just starting a cooking profession the day before joining the restaurant
I have ordered multiple times from Bengali Sweets & Restaurant via Uber Eats.
My experience over the past 3 years has always been a pleasant one. The food comes adequately packed, it is always fresh and hot and I have no complaints about the taste. The food always tastes home-like, whether it is their Chana masala, thaali, chaat, samosas or their vegetable dishes that I've ordered over this period of time.
Kudos to the restaurant for maintaining their standards and keeping consistency, it is very reassuring that every time you order something, you know that the taste and quality are going to remain the same.
ZERO service, they don't make fresh food or curry on custom request everything is pre made, specially curries. Don't bother ordering online you will get call saying they can't do your order, what kind of vegetarian restaurant is this who don't make fresh food on request. Probably they have too many customer and they don't care.
I took out noodles and dahi bhale yesterday and noodles were like full of oil and taste like okra vegetable. Dahi bhale I can’t explain in words worst ever i had. Restaurant needs to shut down without any delay
Worst food I had ever. I used it order from A1 sweets but it wasn’t open today so I ordered from them. Firstly my order was in correct secondly food wasn’t tasted good. It’s even below 1 star
Today I visited there restaurant and ordered noodle burger and gol gappa but guess what they were sold out.then i ordered spring roll and Manchurian. Manchurian was fine but spring rolls were warm from outside but i was frozen from inside …. Never returning again
I ordered food through Uber worth 65$ and they sent me soggy and rotten food. All of it are smelling really bad. The rotten item was Veg noodles, Veg manchurian and Gobi Prantha. I'm really disappointed.
Strictly okay place. The stars are higher coz hopefully there aren't any hygiene issues as people queued up to get their food. It is very reasonable as well. However on the downside the taste isn't upto the mark, the Indian spices are missing. Just too bland. Ordered chhole bhature and samosa and both lacked in the same area mentioned above
Ehn! First off let me start by saying this is not a high end, amazingly amazing, out of the world taste kind of place.
This is a small place, with a few decent options, and good prices. So if you came here expecting 5 star service and were disappointed, well, maybe introspect.
I went here the day after Diwali, I knew the chaos that reigns here on days leading upto and on the day of the festival but that chaos has more to do with the patrons than the staff. I mean there's only so much the staff could do to control a mob not ready to listen to rhyme or reason, and if you were disappointed by the chaos while also being a part of it to begin with, again, maybe introspect.
Ah well we got a bunch of sweets and all of them tasted good. The highlight was the motichoor laddoo, we had a bunch of people over so I missed taking pictures.
We bought some Samosas and Jalebi here. We loved the taste, and especially that Jalebi, it's so delicious and just the ones we had back home. We can feel the aroma and taste of ghee in it. It's awesome I'll visit there again soon.
There was a foul smell in the alu gobi in the veg thali. The alu paratha was not so tasty. Used to visit this place pre COVID and they were quite good. Disappointed.
I ordered food from them and it was so bad. Taste is gross. The bread of pav bhaji is stale and smells so bad. I will not order here again. So bad. Owner of the store should check all the stuff. We pay for food it’s not a joke.
Their Samosas are often good, sometimes stale. I bought the veggie Thali last week. All the food except the roti and rice were applied and had to throw it out. Never buying my food their.
The food quality is very poor. I ordered manchurian and it had no veggies and super oily. There was only oil floating. Also ordered the chat papri and they only put papri, dahi and potato. No other veggies and was very fake.
Nice restaurant with variety of options. I love samosa chaat and other snack food of this place and I think there should be more veggie options for the meals. Otherwise, it is perfect place for chaats and sweets.
I don't understand how done people enjoy the food from here, everything they had was a similar yet tasteless version of what A1 serves, and they're right next door. Also, can't trust anything from them after finding out they use refried samosas. Good luck to anyone getting their food.
We absolutely loved his place. From their chats, paratha and sweets- they have consistently kept the quality of the food up. My wife loves their suji ka halwa. Definitely recommended.
The food here is great, however they really need to work on order management. I had placed an order from skip the dishes for pick-up. I still had to wait in the queue outside. When my turn came up and I confirmed with the person serving if I could have skipped the line and directly pick up the order, her response was NO! You have to wait in the queue. I still don’t understand what is the benefit of ordering online (30 mins ago).
I am regular customer over here but from last few visits my experience turn out substandard. The food is so inferior quality and same for the defeat customer service. After asking the food is cold, the attitude is of high level by the cashier. I have to leave the food at restaurant. Anyways I am no more interested, never prefer and recommend this restaurant to anyone nearest and dearest.
Loved there food but sometimes some items from menu are not available like i order burgers and they told me they don’t have any available right now. Must call before you visit to confirm.
A vegetable thali under $10 which includes 3 curry and sweet makes this place a definite go. I had ordered thali here several times, do try the eggplant curry and saag. I have tried almost all sweets here but Peda and Motipak are so authentic that you won’t get in other Indian sweets shop in the locality. The staff is very kind and patient, had a very good experience.
Great Customer Service. Best place for Indian Sweets and Snacks. This Scarborough location at McNicoll Avenue. Mini Size Tasty 5 Samosas only $1. Large size 0.60¢ each or Large 5 Samosas $3. Roti & Naan also available.
A nice place where one can have Indian snacks and sweets. 100% vegetarian. Tastes fresh. Employees are good and speak in English, Hindi and Punjabi. Big and free parking space in this plaza. Attaching the detailed menu but prices may not be updated.
Samosas here are 5 for $1 comparable to Samosa King. Skin is thin and crunchy. Only gripe is that the filling (which is great) lacks a bit more spices and taste bland.
Although name is bengali, food and staff is Punjabi. Nice food with good prices. Small place due to that it's bit messy sitting area. But if you take away then it's fine. Free parking is available, never faced problem of finding a parking space.
Very clean and convenient spot. They offer large meals and for affordable rates. I loved the menu a lot and the staff were super amiable and informative. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.
Good food, great prices, very generous portions, super humble & efficient staff, neat & clean place; they stretch every dollar & give value for money. Keep up the good work fellas.setting the lead!
Really good service and the food is delicious as well as fresh. Also reasonable prices and quick services? Surely would recommend to visit there and enjoy the cozy environment with friends & Family. Sukh
I generally order food from uber eats. Whenever I receive the food it's warm, delicious and true value for money. Tried rasogulla for the first time here and I simply loved it.
Great service. Hygienic environment and friendly employees gives you a proper explanation of how a thing would taste. Highly recommend this place. Thanks Aman and Narinder. Regards, Prabh and Harsh
Poor customer service and cleanliness. Found a rat running into the kitchen. On enquiring a fat short lady with glasses yelled at us. No manners at all. Will never visit this place again
The food was stale. Found a long hair in the 10 chapatis I ordered. I feel its a very unhygienic place to have your food Everything is so stale. They need to maintain certain quality and standards.feel free to call as what i am writing is my very bad experience.
I always pick up food, never dined in. The food tastes fresh and good. I love their paranthas, samosas (small size), Channa Masala and Aaloo. This is the only 2nd restaurant i know that carries Rajma everyday. Their rajma is very delicious! Staff is friendly and nice despite being so busy. Prices are good, justifies the quantity and quality! Highly recommend this restaurant.
Because the food is in the air. Great taste, good value. 2 small portion with 2 home made rotis or 1 naan for under $5. Girls are fast and accurate in taking food order. Amazing Indian Sweets. Make sure to eat one big Russ Gulla for a dollar.
