Benihana Niagara Falls

Went on a slow Sunday night but they still did a fun show. The food was delicious! The restaurant is just between Clifton Hills main stretch and Niagara Falls Casino. Enjoyed my time and loved my $40 off voucher.

Fire alarm went off and stayed on for close to 5 minutes.

Our plate warmers were not turned on, so our food was cold when it was finally served. Our server tried to blame this on the wind, despite the restaurant being on the second floor of a building completely sequestered from the outside.

Only offer 6 ounce wine glasses in order to get more wine sales.

At the end of the day, my wife and I’s bill was over $400, and I didn’t drink anything.

I expect to pay a lot to go to Beni Hana, but compared to when this was in Toronto, this is not worth the money.

We will NOT be returning. Our party of 10 was incredible dissatisfied with the whole experience.

Chef was lack luster and quiet, dropped the egg shells into the rice and seemed bored and did not want to be there. Food was cold by the time it was served and was bland, no seasoning and no salt or pepper provided. The bill came to $450 for two people with two drinks each and auto gratuity due to our group. Will not return.

Honesty, best experience at a Benihana. Arthur was our chef, Madison was our server and they were both amazing! Loved our time here!

I love this theme and the food ‘show’ was awesome but I still think the price to value is way off and the food is meh.

You have to order a meal which is this heaping plate of food of which half gets thrown away by most people (great for people with huge appetite though!)
Friends said the tuna and steak was good.
They ‘let me’ order some appetizers as I didn’t want to spend 79+ for a tuna plate most of which I’d throw away.
We had to get up and search out a waitress for drink orders yet they still added an automatic 18% gratuity.
My shiitake mushrooms and veg and shrimp tempura were meh.
Even with the show it’s still not quite worth what you pay.

Its fun, the food is good, expect to be gouged! Our party was 2 adults, 2 kids, & only 1 drink. None of us ordered steak or any other expensive meat and the bill was $550 CAD/$408 USD. That's it for me. First time/LAST time!

Food was good and a great teppanyaki chef as well - Arthur. But the final bill was ridiculously high. Being Niagara residents we saved at least the tourist tax. I believe they have to really do something about the price for customers to revisit but if the business model is about just catering to one time tourist customers I guess it works for them. I won’t go here again purely because of the price! 300 bucks for two people!

Gone here a few times and have always had a good experience. The food is always wonderful and flavor-filled, and the cooks are very funny and well trained, especially when it comes to managing guests allergies. Always entertaining to watch them cook the food with such precision. Very clean and comfortable. Definitely a good place to go eat at, especially for a special event.

Had to leave a review. The place got a 5 star strictly because of Arthur our Chef. Not only was he a great Chef but he was a stand up comedian too. Funniest entertainer and highly recommend asking for him if you go. Great experience because of him!

We had our honeymoon at the white oaks, and decided to come to benihana for dinner. Leslie gave us the best experience ever, very friendly, kind and helpful. We will definitely be coming back to this location! Romeo was an awesome cook, he entertained us the whole time, great interaction skills and customer service

Extremely overpriced and probably the worst Hibachi I’ve had. Your paying for the location, not the food.

Be aware of extremely high price! We almost walked out because of the price on the menu, but we were tired and hungry. Prepare to pay $100 per person for nothing special.

This is terrible to charge all this one just.for the meat and you have to pay for rice separately never saw this done at any other Japanese restaurant EVER

Overpriced and the cook barley put on a show. Ask to take off the NFDF tax it’s a tourist tax and goes right into owners pocket,

The website showed they have Yum Yum sauce, but they did not. They offered a spicey mayo as a replacement, but it is the opposite of Yum Yum. The location is hard to find (hidden above an arcade, with no marked entrance). The fried rice was not flavorful.

Really this was not terrible, except that the 2 of us ate for $200 (canadian $$) and it was worth more like $100.

The chef ruined our entire experience!

Having chefs that can't perform any hibachi tricks is one thing. But having a chef who can't even cook is worse. Food served was raw. The shrimp was rubber, the chicken was either over cooked or undercooked. The chef fumbled, kept dropped his spatula. Couldn't perform any tricks. I mean any tricks. He left eggshells in the rice. Kept compensating with lame humour. The table left the food as is.
Mc Donald's is a better experience than this.
And to slap a bill of $100 at the end of the night. Save your money.

They stole customers! Way too expensive for the same thing in other cities! 62$ for chicken instead of
30$, chicken half cook, they charged the fried rice when ita suposento be included, dont go there!

We had the most wonderful time here! Tyler our chef was outstanding and our boys absolutely loved the show! The food was delicious too and service was wonderful.

Pretty good place for a whole meal! Pretty expensive, but it makes sense to me because the staff work pretty hard and considering that we get a show while we wait for the food. The chef made the food great and the waitress was very nice too! The service as a whole is amazing. The place looks very nice and I'd say that the location is a bit convenient.

214 cad for two to get teriyaki chicken smh more expensive than the keg and copacabana, u can't make this up.

Slightly disappointed… the food was good but our chef was inexperienced and couldn’t perform some basic tricks.

J'ai pris l'assiette de poulet ainsi que ma femme plus une bière et un cocktail, 76 $ ch.pour le poulet et le dessert n'est pas inclus. Ce resraurant se prend automatiquement du pourboire, total 237.00 $, trop cher.

Never been to a Benihana before, so in a sense I don't have have anything to compare my experience to; the experience and process is pretty unique. The food itself was very good, and the performance from our chef Toto was brilliant. All the expected knife tricks, onion volcano, etc.were on display and our table applauded every one of them. It was fun to interact with others at the table, and overall the experience was unique.

From a service perspective, over the course of the night it became clear that our waitress had little training or experience in the service industry. She unapologetically knew little about the 30 items on the menu. For example when a guest asked about the differences between the 3 sakes on the menu, she simply said "I don't know". When a table-mate advised that they required gluten free food, she forgot to advise the kitchen several times over, then brought him a soup that contained gluten anyways. She would swear when mistakes were made, and would disappear for long stretches of time. At one point she even advised us against ordering something on the menu that wasn't personally to her taste.

This led to a surreal display that was pretty distracting from the knifeplay and solid food. It is clear they are suffering from the labour shortage that, at the time of writing, I know has left Ontario without many competent servers. But clearly something went wrong in the training process or systems here.

From a cost perspective, this was a very expensive meal: $65.00 for a prix fix chicken dinner and $99.00 for the filet minion. 355ml bottles of beer were $10. A 17% tourism tax is applied, as with all other restaurants at the falls. Comically, a 17% service fee (tip) was automatically applied to all bills. Surely for this level of cost the service should be A1.

I am not sure if our experience was an isolated one - it is very possible that we got someone on a bad night and I appreciate that. In the end, my wife and I kept a positive attitude and took in the show for what it was.

If you want chicken and vegetables for the price of a month's worth of groceries, this is your kinda place.

SERIOUSLY overpriced for just a decent enough meal. Quality and quantity was fine just overpriced.

Absolutely wonderful. Food was delicious- you must try the Filet Mignon, it was superb. The atmosphere was fantastic. The Executive Chef greeted us at the host stand and visited our table a few times to check on us, that was a nice touch.

Our server Koko and our table side chef Win were awesome. I was impressed with how attentive they were and very friendly and funny. You have to go for the experience of watching them flip eggs and catching them or for the Fire Onion Train.

All in all a great experience. I am confused with those complaining about the price- the price is for dinner and a show. Plus, the price is on the menu- if it's to pricey for you then leave but you'd miss having a great time. I know I'll be back.

Food ks WAY to expensive, for what it is. 2 of us, two alcoholic drinks (One sangria, one beer) two Steaks & 5 bucks for additional rice. 368.00.will definitely not be returning, I let my opinions be known to the manager respectfully & she tried justifying the cost so I laughed. Not worth it, not for that cost or for that experience. Will not be returning. Disappointed.

Awesome experience! Abi was our cook! Was his first show, looked like a pro flipping and cutting!
Had the filet and lobster tale, so tender, special rice was well worth the extra couple dollars, wife had the chicken and shrimp… she loved it, wasn’t able to finish it all so I got to help, which was perfect.
Drinks were never empty! Excellent service all around!
Would definitely go back

WOW! I have never been to a "Benihaha" before but have eaten teppanyaki at various Caribbean resorts. This was better by far. The quality of the steak, tuna, and lobster was top and our chef was very talented. Sorry I don't have better pictures, the food was so good I forgot!

What a great dining experience! We loved the entertainment provided by our personal Chef Toto. The food, staff, ambiance, cleanliness was top notch. I am a HUGE fan of The Keg at Embassy Suites and this Benihana restaurant in NF was also amazing. So much food that I cannot wait for my delicious lunch today.

The food was good, other than the chicken which was really dry. They were understaffed and we arrived at 830, for our reservation but didnt eat a single thing until after 9: 30. The ventilation is horrible, my eyes were watering and had to go outside several times through out the night to get fresh air. I know the "experience" is part of going to Benihana's but I shouldnt have to wait over an hr to eat.

INSANELY OVERPRICED, chef didn't perform anything but an onion volcano. $179 surf in turf for one person? Ordered $20 shrimp tempura and literally 4 pieces was served.
Everything was overly seasoned and didn't taste good at all, and portion sizes are incredibly small. You will feel hungry and unsatisfied at the end.
DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE MONEY AND EAT BAD FOOD!
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Atmosphere was nice. Food was ok. However, this place is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED!

And if you are a Canadian you need to tell them to remove tourist tax prior to paying your bill

The most amazing restaurant in the area, the whole time was an experience! Easily the best food I’ve had from the apps to the fillet mignon. The cooks and the service was impeccable, 100% recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Me and my friend went on a dinner date and made amazing friends with everyone at our table but great for a group date idea as well!

When we arrived the place was empty it took them at least 10 minutes to seat us, they looked hesitant because we had children. Looks like they wanted us to leave or put us in a place that is out of sight of the other customers. The prices are exorbitant, you expect at least a good show when cooking the food, but the chef was shaky didn't execute half the of the basic Hibachi moves. Lastly the food was under seasoned, for the price that you pay here you can go to the Keg and order two steaks and get better service and quality of food.

We had a great dining experience tonight! Staff were warm and friendly. Service was excellent. Chef Toto was very entertaining and food was great. He made our little one’s first birthday celebration extra special and unforgettable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What an amazing experience! Food was fantastic. By far one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time!
Our server, Koko, was very friendly and attentive. She was on the ball and removed our plates/refilled our drinks in a very timely manner.
Our chef, Win, was witty and very talented. And the meal was delicious!
We were greeting by the Executive Chef, Adir, who is professional and on top of everything. Thank you for going above and beyond and adding to our experience. If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would!

I don't mean to be rude or just to put a bad review cause I have nothing to do, but to be honest the food is just okay, I've taste better that costs $12.00 and the Prices is horrible if I'm going to spend $215.00 for 2 atleast make the food better. Its nothing special at ALL! No quality. I don't blame the chef we had, he's just following his executive chef, and the service was great from our server. Who ever is in control of this restaurant, c'mon.

I have been to a few Benihana locations and a few other Hibachi places including the local one.seeing a Benihana open in Niagara Falls, I was excited to try it. Made reservations via open table without any issues was a few minutes late but they still were able to accommodate us, They have been only open a week so we had the place to ourselves including the chefs table which was great, the whole staff celebrated my husbands birthday with singing and brought out ice cream. Server was attentive but I’m sure I probably knew more about Benihana original menu then she did. Right now it’s a prix fix menu with chicken and everything else is an add on. Miso soup was good slightly different from the original I think they use frenchs onion strings in it. Said was nice and fresh loved the chicken and they put a twist on it by also adding bean sprouts to the veggie mix. Price is expected for Niagara Falls and the experience, I ended up with a lot left over so portions were good.keep in mind they do charge a tourism tax of 17% which at the current menu when you add that and tax plus a tip it’s probably somewhere you will only go on special occasions. I will recommend it and will probably visit again before the end of summer because food was good service was excellent. I had an issue with my bill I noticed after sent them an email and within minutes received a call from the manager to rectify it. I know how hard it is to start a new business during a pandemic so I can’t wait to give it another try.

One of the best and most entertaining restaurants in Niagara Falls! Overall, great dining experience. We haven't been out in months, so picking Benihana felt like going on a mini-vacation! Tables are set up for 8, so going as 4 couples adds to the fun! The appetizers and main courses were delicious and Chef Toto entertained us throughout with tricks and flips and even flames. Lots of surprises and laughs! My husband learned some new moves and is expected to replicate! Enjoy!

Wow, what an amazing dining experience! Beautiful decor, nice layout, friendly staff! The food is cooked right at your table and the chefs put on a show). The food was delicious and there was so much we had leftovers for the next night.

Prices are $60 for chicken teppanyaki dinner with the sides, and $80 for filet. Plus more for fried rice, sushi, etc. Better off going to Suisha Gardens, a family business teppanyaki restaurant just a few minutes from Clifton hill.
