Benjamin Moore (Aftica Decor)

Nice people, but can’t estimate how much paint you need. Undersold so I need to go back and spend more money.

Never even made it in the store after we were told on the phone they wouldn’t help pick a trip colour that matches my cabinets undertones. I had to clarify that twice.

Great staff at this location. They are so friendly and helpful. The paint is crazy expensive but its worth it from a quality perspective

Great experience at this location. The sales staff Jessica and Eric were super helpful, extremely knowledgeable and made the shopping experience enjoyable. I was able to decide on a wallpaper I had been debating for months with the help of these lovely ladies:)

Erin was extremely kind and helpful. She put together a package of paint chips for me to pick up based on our conversation, which led to finding the perfect colour for my kitchen. I appreciate the help and excellent quality of service.

Bought paint over the phone and picked up during lockdown. Good service. Impressed by the quality of BM paint.

I do believe that they do charge more for their BM paint than other places but with this government intrusion on our rights, my usual paint vendor was not available to tint paint. So, I had to use Aftica. Pleasant enough on the phone when I ordered and quite pleasant when I picked up the paint (Erin). At least I got 10 bucks off each can as bought 5. Also, it is nice and close to my home.
EDIT: With the "whole house discount, the 3.78L cans of Benjamin Moore REGAL, eggshell finish paint was $65 a can - quite similar to the Behr Marquee paint from the Depot. Gotta say that it is A VERY GOOD PAINT. I've done a lot of painting over 4 decades and this may have been the best LATEX paint that I've ever used. Excellent coverage!
The words, "Final Sale" was printed in red on my receipt. That is to be expected with tinted paint. From reading other reviews it looks like "final sale" refers to EVERYTHING!
I don't plan on returning anything.
But just what does the word "AFTICA" mean?
My buddy told me that it's an acronym for:

I wonder if that's true?

The staff at Aftica Decor at Mohawk and Garth have always been exceptional. If I have a problem getting a colour match that is the place to go.

Love this location! Staff is always helpful at suggesting colours for the project you are working on, and that compliment other colours in your house. The quality of the paint is awesome, and thick like I like, not runny or thin coverage. I love that they keep your colours on file, so if you need an extra cans in the future, you don't need to remember the colour! I also love their decor items.will definitely continue shopping here!

Very disappointed with this location. Arrived an hour prior to their posted closing time and they were closed. I guess their posted hours means nothing. Customer service clearly isn't their forte. Since they were closed we went to Sherwin William's instead.

I have been to this location now twice. Once in the summer of 2019 -too select a door color and another time recently Jan 2020 to pick out some grey tones and get some ideas. I find the staff to be super friendly, helpful and very informative/knowledgeable about their product-not only on the different paint variety but also the different brushes they have. Even though Benjamin Moore is a little pricier than some other paint brands. I will pay the price and continue to buy from this location because of the great customer service.

I've bought paint elsewhere but regretted it because Benjamin Moore is a much superior quality and low odour (which is important to me as I did much of this pregnant!)

I have worked with over 20 Benjamin Moore stores across the area; Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga, Hamilton and even Toronto. I have never seen such horrible customer service. They always have this attitude that I don't get where it's coming from. The minute you walk in to the store, you are not welcomed. They don't pre-mix anything for you even though we have bought from them for a while now and they know us very well. All other locations always mix them ahead of time and make it ready so we can pick up and go. We even met the owners, same horrible attitude, that's why they have hired those employees. On top of everything, Everything they are selling is over priced and as a painter, I do not recommend them to anybody unless they REALLY have to go there.in response: I am in your system under my company. You should have good customer service to avoid these kind of follow ups and searches. I do not have time to waste and provide false information about your store. I am simply stating my experience and would not discuss my personal info.

Benjamin Moore paints are our first choice in paint. This store has it all, including an array of interior decorating products and ideas. Really friendly, professional, knowledgeable sales people make it the perfect mix. Watch for the concrete bumpers in the parking lot if you have a car with low ground clearance.

The Benjamin Moore paint is great. Unfortunately, the primer they sold me was awful and the colour isn’t adhering to the walls properly. The smallest touch/knick and it’s coming off my walls. Very upset as I spent a lot of money to avoid these issues and went specifically to Aftica for their expertise.

Nice store, very helpful staff. They really do have the best paint. Best to stock up when its on sale!

What can I say about the store, I went into the store yesterday May 14,2019, with my neighbor who I'm painting her house to ordered paint and while the order was getting ready I was taking pictures of the store to post on here for reviews, my neighbor this morning informs me that the store called her and was all worried about the pictures I took I guess I look suspicious and in all honesty I guess I should have informed them when I was doing at the time I just never came across this before but they called her 2 check up on her as to inquire as my relationship with her. At first I was a little upset about this put my neighbor being The Devil's advocate was like this could be part of a good review because the one on one service they were able to check up on her as opposed to a big box store were you just going get your paint and leave.

Now about the store the store is very neat very well-kept, although it was a lot more expensive than going to a big box store I strongly suggested to my neighbor to come here to get that one on one experience and knowledge, I'm sure the staff is a lot better trained in their products then just some teenager working at a paint station in a big store.
So in short if you want better knowledge more one on one service and don't mind paying a little more I would suggest the store,

I am new to faux paint, and want to try it out in my powder room using 3 different colours to make the pattern. The stuff at Aftica Decor were super helpful, and very knowledgeable. They helped me to select good colour combination, and the second day when i went back because i thought one of the light colour was too white, they had no problem, and were very patient to change and test the colour for me. I am super happy with the result turned out with my powder room (see attached photo) Thank You Very Much!
