Questionable repaires by bodyshop charged to my insurance. Hush hush explanations and ridiculous accusations about how new damages occurred. Would not trust them as far as I can throw them. Bought 5 new cars and 2 used over the last dozen years. Will not ever return to buy another from them. Mr. Bennett would be rolling in his grave if he knew how his offspring are tarnishing his good name

The worst service ever! They say they would arrange rides back home and to pick you up, which is the norm in every decent showroom now. But they literally make you wait hours for it. I was told the wait woul hardly be 15 mins, but took an entire hour to drop me off to my home. The same while picking up, had they been honest about the delays I could have arranged a ride myself. Pathetic to say the least.

I need to give a huge should out to Bennett Chevrolet Buick GMC. We’ve had Donna a month (purchased from a used dealership) and Friday she started to misfire. Bennetts was able to get her in quick and offer great service. The issue turned out to be much more than we originally thought. Aiden at the service desk was both knowledgeable and communicated well with both my husband and I while she was there and the tech was able to get her fixed and put back together in decent time. I think it’s safe to say I’ll be going there when I purchase my next truck!

It’s good to know there are still well established car dealers who know the value of personal service. Bennet Chev Buick is one of those. When I said I really needed my car back for an important appointment only a day and a half away, (replacement manifold and a new rear door) Joanne in collision took up the challenge and made it HAPPEN! What team work! Expect the best from Bennet’s. I will go nowhere else for service!

By far the best experience I've had. Mel was my sales lady and she was awesome not only with myself but with my son. She really went into details with my purchase and very detailed with everything. She walked me through all the steps before they happened. I must say Mel was the best sales lady I have ever had. This company is lucky to have such an amazing and knowledgeable person as her.

I am torn about this review because my family has had a long and up until recently wonderful relationship with Bennett. We have bought three vehicles from them and had great experiences but lately the service has been terrible. I took my car in today for an oil change, a health check and break service. I had a 9: 30 appointment and was there around 9: 20. At 3: 30 I called. I was put on hold for about ten minutes, then was told they were working on my car. Forgive me if I doubt they had started before I called. So I asked how long it would be. I got a lot of humming and hawing then I started saying 30,40 minutes. So I go there in 40 minutes and am forced to wait an hour before my car is ready. I don't feel like I got the best service, I am questioning the detail they went to and in the end I am left feeling like I was charged nearly 400$ for work that was at best half done. You have to be able to trust your mechanic and I don't think I can trust Bennett any more.

I recently had my car in for some collision work and was extremely happy with the service I received. Joanne was lovely to deal with and understood that even though my car was 12 years old I still loved it as much as the day I got it. I had THE BEST experience at Bennett! I was in an accident and my car a total loss so I had a very short timeframe which, in the current market, was quite stressful. From my first online inquiry, Jason was SO helpful and accommodating. He went above and beyond to get me information in a timely way but never felt pushy or in-genuine. Financing also went above and beyond to work with my situation and I can’t thank Matt enough! I have at least a dozen Chev dealerships closer to home than Bennett’s and I would go the extra distance any day for the service and care I received. Not only do I love my new Trailblazer, the process was was quick, stress-free, and FUN. Thank you Jason and Matt!

JoAnn helped me with my car repair. She did great communicating with me what needed to be done and how long it would take. She set up my rental and made everything so easy. My car looks great and they even cleaned the inside! I was surprised to see my car vacuumed and wiped down when I picked it up. Thanks again JoAnn!

I have been working with this dealership since 2012, there have certainly been some mistakes made here and there but the important thing is, this is a team of people who genuinely care to have you happy at the end of the day and will go above and beyond to make any mistakes right. I love coming to the dealership and saying hi to everyone as I pass by, it's like catching up with old friends, that's how they make you feel, like a long time friend.

James and Brett in sales have always been so helpful with purchasing a vehicle that is right for ME and fits MY needs, I have never felt like they are trying to convince me of anything, it's quite the opposite, they have offered me gentle reminders to steer me back in the right direction when needed.

Matt in finance is an absolute sweetheart, he's so kind and patient and will help you get into that car you love. He works quickly and efficiently to get you what you need.

Joanne and Oscar in the collision centre have been amazing time and time again, always realistic with their timelines and will make sure everything is 100% to my satisfaction, and I know I am picky.

The service department is so kind and willing to do whatever it takes to get you on your way quickly. I have had my issues with the service department in the past but at the end of the day, they have made it right, and management changes have made a huge positive impact. I haven't had any problems with the service department in years.

I moved to Brantford 3 years ago but still continue to make the trip to Cambridge for any auto needs because I trust to collection of amazing people at this dealership. I know I am good hands no matter what.

I went to this dealership to buy my first car! I expected the process to be long and stressful, but this dealership made it easy and straight-forward, especially for my first time. Rany Khushaba was my sales consultant, and he did a great job helping me get a used 2015 Chevrolet Malibu. I would recommend asking to speak to him if you plan on checking this place out!

Oscar and Joanne were so helpful with my grandparents. They came in to have a scratch on their car painted and Oscar and Joanne could not have been more helpful and kind to them. The scratch is barely visible now! They were sooo appreciative of the amazing service that was provided to them. Would definitely recommend their service to any of our friends and family!

Twice I have been to Bennett body shop for Insurance Claim work on my 2014 Equinox, both times the body shop staff have been fantastic. They communicated well through the whole process, and did high quality work on our vehicle.

Just pick my car up after waiting for 4 months on back order parts. Joanne and Oscar have gone over and beyond for me. The service from these two have been exceptional. I would definitely recommend their collision center.

Service is good and the people are nice. Way too expensive to get your vehicle serviced here though. The mark up on parts is huge and labour's rate is $150/hr.

I came in for my very first car, I did have a co_signer however my mom wanted me too do it on my own, I dealt with a lady named Liz I explained to her my situation was I had a co-signer but my mom wanted me to go on own, I explained this same situation too Hyundai in Cambridge Ontario and they went above and above too get approved for a loan and too get a brand new vehicle, a couple weeks later I got a phone call from the Bennett Chevrolet Buick GMC dealshipship and it was the same lady I sat down with and I explained too her I approved threw Hyundai so I went to thwre dealship instead. She seemed upset because she had lost a a commission and I explained too her maybe if you had worked with me a little more and realized I didnt need a co-signer you would have sold the vehicle. Very disappointing service

Contacted them to do an oil change after a horrible experience with John Bear New Hamburg. Dropped truck off in the morning, got contacted through text about a few things, and then notified when my vehicle was ready for pick up.

Everyone I dealt with was very polite.

Came in for brake service since they squeak (they just need to be cleaned and greased) and asked for a mechanical inspection as well. They took the wheels off obviously and they claim they did the inspection and everything is in "perfect" working order which obviously they didn't. 1 week later I find out 3 of my rims are cracked, 1 started leaking air badly.

GM claims these cracks happen over time and are not instantaneous due to bad roads (not true at all, it's a design failure but obviously they can't admit to it or it will be painfully expensive for them to recall the car). Based on that fact from the manufacturer themselves this dealership did not inspect my car as these cracks are visible to the naked eye from meters away. They literally touched the rims to work on the brakes and did not spot obvious cracks, cracks that literally every single model of my vehicle suffers from (because they didn't check, but gladly charged me to claim they did!).

On top of that my brakes still squeak after the "service" which I bet was just them keeping my car in the back and not doing anything for several days. I got charged money for this fake service.

I feel really bad for the other people who have to service their sports cars here, I do not recommend you let these clowns anywhere near your car, I'm surprised they managed to change my oil properly. Never will I do my business at this service location ever again, thanks for nothing.

I don't often write reviews except in the case of exceptionally great or exceptionally poor service. I have had a number of bad experiences at Bennett that I will itemize for any prospective customers looking to buy a car or take a vehicle in for service.

1. Sales: I went in to buy a vehicle and bring a trade in. Given the COVID circumstances, I was told no cars were really available but if a midsize vehicle became available, I would be contacted. I returned a week later for an unrelated matter and got talking with a different salesperson who told me that only a few days ago, they had several Equinoxes come in and they had gone as quickly as they came. I was put off by the fact that I wasn't contacted and said as much to the salesperson. This second salesperson apologized for my bad experience and then didn't even give me a card or take my information to rectify the initial bad service. That was twice now, two different sales reps that passed up an opportunity to sell a car to me. I purchased a new vehicle from another dealer the next day.

2. Service: A few days ago I took my (NOW NEW) car in for service because the sprayers for the windshield washer fluid weren't working. Not only did they not fix the problem or even address it at all, they took it upon themselves to do a semi-annual inspection of my vehicle which I didn't ask for and it ended up taking close to 2 hours FOR SERVICE I DIDN'T ASK FOR. Their techs were also unable to tell if a service on my breaks had recently been done, not confirming that they needed service or didn't need service, the tech just couldn't tell, so they suggested I get that done also while I was there. Probably my worst customer service experience I have ever had a dealership.

I just purchased a 2022 LT Trail Boss from Jason Shaw at Bennett. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Jason and the entire Bennett team were a pleasure to work with. They were welcome to all the questions I had, and gave detailed and clear answers. Thanks again Jason and team for such a seamless process and one awesome truck.

Worst mechanical service ever. TOTAL SCAMMERS. I took my vehicle in for one issue, had that fixed, but the next day there was a new issue. This happened twice in a row. I am never going back to this dealership for mechanical service ever again.

If I could rate them a 0 If I could. I had special coverage for my Chevy Cruz for an engine problem and booked an appointment to get it fixed, they told me it would take 1-2 hour to diagnose. I scheduled the appointment accordingly so I can work after. When I got there they then mentioned I had to pay 139 for a diagnosis and that they won’t have the diagnosis until the afternoon. They wouldn’t provide a rental either. Never experienced such poor customer service due to a lack of communication, and no one taking responsibility. Your phone conversations need to be recorded and employees need to take responsibility. Overall this dealership Needs better management.

Horrible customer service, manager is a joke. Service adviser lured me in for some warrenty work lied saying it wouldn't be more then two hours then tried to charge me 130$ if it didn't need any work done. Wasted 3 hours of my time! Needs better management and retrain employees to treat the customers better. I will be calling head office after my experience this is unexeptable!

There is a lady name Joanne that works in the body shop area. Well she has no manners she is very rude. When you talk to her she has to talk over you. Joanne should learn how to talk to people maybe take a lesson in communication skills.

Had the rear bumper repaired on my 2021 sierra denali. They did a great job and even detailed my vehicle inside and out. This was above and beyond to me since it was a reasonably minor repair and I didnt even purchase the truck from them.
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the pricing was in line compared to other dealerships.

Over the last 10 years, I have been dealing primarily with BennettGM for all my auto related needs and I will continue to do so.

I have purchased multiple vehicles and have had them routinely serviced here. I have also been an employee and base this review from my experiences, all of which have been very positive.

I can tell you first hand that the entire Bennett family genuinely cares about you and the importance of providing quality vehicles and service. I highly recommend using this dealership.

One of the worst experience at a Dealership today. The service Advisor (no idea) if was knowledgeable or not, didn't provide proper information about A/C servicing and just handed over a 400$ invoice. When asked question was provided a 10% discount but when asked for a Manager, that Gentleman - Service Manager, no idea what ego he had, advised cannot do anything, if cannot pay for A/C since its a expensive part will remove the A/C unit from the car and asked for the keys. When requested to speak to his Manager, he advised he is the Boss and owner of the Building. This is not customer service.finally we were done with Bennette GM - just paid the Invoice. Never are we going back to this place where they have no courtesy or manners. Happy to provide more info to anyone about our horrible experience.
Already raised a complaint with Chevrolet/GM Canada.

Jim Ross is the GM for Bennett and was very disrespectful over the phone with me inregards to an issue that our truck came back with 3 months ago after they addressed a recal. Said I didn't know what I was talking about. Very unprofessional what an insult to myself and husband. Bennett GM should be ashamed.

I recently bought a Certified Pre-Owned Sierra from Bennet GM, Craig Eccles (think I spelt the last name right) was my the salesmen who I dealt with and he was great! I originally came down for the test drive and he had to stay a bit later to wait for me, I ending up saying no to it that night and he was super understanding and not pushy at all. Glad I took his card because I ended up contacting him a couple weeks later and wanted buy it. He made things really simple. Also, when I went to the dealer to pick it up I forgot my plates. I felt bad for wasting his time but he was super understanding again and offered to drive it down to me (an hour away). We ended up meeting halfway and I have since been super happy with the truck! I would recommend Bennet, and ask for Craig if you're looking for a used vehicle.

Found my used 2019 GMC 4x4 canyon
Purchased it to find a couple of problems.
Both Craig (Sales) and Adam (Used car manager)
Were very quick to resolve and get issues corrected.
A great group as well in the service dept.to be accommodating
and informative on the repairs. Who could forget Jordan with
his vehicle pick up and drop off duties all to make the experience successful in these covid times. Thanks guys for a great purchasing experience. Looking forward to a great summer of camping, fishing, kayaking and exploring Ontario the safest way possible once restrictions are lifted. To all the Bennett Chevrolet staff. On march 16th 2021, I brought my company truck in for its yearly health inspection with some concerned (and later to be confirmed) issues with the front end steering components. The Truck passed Bennetts "vehicle health inspection" TWICE (after I requested another look on march 19th 2021) I was then denied a 3rd inspection after again raising my concerns (with no resolution). For my safety and those around me on the roadway, I took It upon myself (at my own cost) to have this situation/concern re evaluated at another Certified GM location immediately. That location confirmed (on march 22nd 2021) that my truck was infact unsafe with loose passenger side upper and lower balljoint play, unserviced brakes, and a list of other health concerns.thankfully these repairs have been made by the other dealership and have yet to receive an apology or acknowledgment for this error. 4 years ago I purchased a used 2015 Silverado from Bennett's and in 4 years I had zero problems and loved my truck.
I decided to trade it in for something brand new and decided on my 2021 Malibu LT Midnight Edition which I picked up Thursday March 25th.sounds simple right? Let me explain.
Over the past year I was always trying to upgrade to a new truck so I met with Tony for the first time and discussed the Trucks as well as the financing.we did this twice and both times I found them to be out of my budget. Tony on both occasions was happy to help and was very patient with me and when I found the Malibu there he was again going through all the test drives and trade in red tape with nothing but a smile on his face.
When I came to pick up my new car Tony had had it detailed and waiting in the Show Room for me and when i first saw it I got a bit emotional. I was completely overwhelmed.
The attention to detail of every aspect of this purchase was over and above what I expected.so satisfied and happy.

Now nobody enjoys spending money in these COVID days so being strict to a budget is essential which brings me to Suzanne.the Finance Queen with out whom I couldnt have done this deal.
Not only did she get me the financing I needed but got me the lowest interest rate Ive ever had and had it approved in hours not days.she is awesome!

I now have a personal relationship with both these people and will continue to do business with Bennett in the years to come especially with my daughter starting to drive in only a few years from now.

In closing. To Tony Zanette and Suzanne Tannous.you are a credit to your Profession as well as your Employers. Thank You so much my friends.

My finance & I just bought two Equinox's.
We both received a wicked deal as they were 2020 clear outs. This is both our second purchase with Bennett. Their sales & financing staff are amazing.
For both occasions Tony was our sales Rep. Tony is an awesome guy! He made the car buying experience so easy. Tony took the time with us explaining everything in detail without any pressure.

Many, many reasons for this 1 star rating;

1. I paid for work that was never completed on the car. How do I know this? I brought my car in because the ABS light was coming on so it was due for service, so I brought it in for a multi point vehicle inspection and oil change which would include and is on my receipt for a tire rotation. Great right? Well here is where the work not getting done was caught and cost them money and my time in the long run. I had a flat tire which was replaced with the wrong size tire which was causing the sensor to throw a code and cause ABS to fail. IF the tires were ever rotated they would have noticed the wheel speed sensor would have read a different speed wherever the tire would have been rotated to.

2. Had multiple "DEXOS" oil changes, I have a concern that it was not the correct oil being used. As my car is a Diesel it requires DEXOS 2. After completing my own oil change with DEXOS 2 oil the engine acts different as if it were new, never had that feeling after having an oil change from there.

3. Never informed about missing splash shield where changing of oil takes place or not replaced after getting an oil change. I was told this was missing by Valvoline Oil Express and seen it when I did my own oil change.

I have not had experience of buying a car from here, but if it is as shady as my experience with work not being complete that was paid for, stay clear, there are many other dealerships out there.

UPDATE - 1 Week after the "Owner" said Chris would be in touch still no contact other than to book a service appointment, for a vehicle I don't own. If you want to know how to improve your processes it starts from the top. Something is clearly broken here.

I recently picked up 2017 GMC Sierra that I purchased for my husband while he is away. Tony was my sales person and he was instrumental in helping me making the best choice, colour, options, etc.and explained why. I am so happy with the experience and highly recommend Tony Zanette and his team to guarantee a brilliant experience.
Matt was my BM and once again, very pleased with the experience.

My wife and I got a Jeep Cherokee from here 3 years ago and it has been nothing but problems. Every 3-6 months we have had to bring it in for the same problems. After the 3rd visit to Bennett when they said they fixed the problem and let my wife leave the lot in an unsafe vehicle that broke down again less then 4 blocks away we decided to try another dealership. They found multiple problems that the people at Bennett completely ignored and now I have 2 major repairs that could have been easily avoided if the service staff did what was asked instead of putting on a bandaid and price gouging customers. In short the service staff was very rude, yelling that I couldn't possibly know what was wrong with the car, put us in an unsafe vehicles where others could have been hurt, charged me 3 timea for the same problem and still didn't fix it. DO NOT go to Bennett for a vehicle. They will do everything they can to make you come back for more repairs. Never using these people again

I would just like to write how disappointed I am with how I have been dealt with today. In May of this year I purchased a used Cadillac SRX, when I test drove the car the battery needed to be boosted. In our discussion with the sales person Anthony Zanette he assured me that the car once ready to be picked up would have a new battery installed. When I picked up the vehicle I confirmed with Tony that the battery had been replaced and he assured me that it had.

Today I could not start my car as the battery was dead. I called the service department and asked if the battery had been replaced when I purchased the vehicle, I was told that the battery had never been replaced. My next conversation was with Tony the sales guy, he did remember me but conveniently had no recollection of replacing the battery. He told me to bring the vehicle in to the service department, as I couldn't start the car I asked how I was supposed to do that, he asked if I had CAA. I hung up the phone out of frustration.

I am not impressed at all with the after care and will never shop here in the future.

Sure enough, a day after writing this review we got side swept by someone. I sent a message to Craig and although the dealership was closed, he was still quick to respond and called us right away in the morning to talk about bringing it to the dealership to be repaired. I have never received such great customer service. From the sale of the truck to having it repaired, we are so thrilled to have dealt with Bennett's.

My mom bought a Traverse from Craig today and hats off to his professionalism and knowledge. With all Covid things happening all protocols were followed and we felt like it was a safe and positive environment while walking us through the vehicle set up. When we left the dealership it felt like we knew Craig as a person and not just as a salesman. When you call ask for Craig and enjoy your process of buying a vehicle instead of feeling pressured into it.

I purchased a 2020 Traverse High Country demo. Kevin from service hooked me up with Craig, a sales rep and we made the deal. Craig was fair and understood my needs (and wants), he also gave a me a great training session on all the technology in the vehicle. I'm gonna love my new SUV.

On feb 24/20
I brought in my brand new 2019 GMC Canyon for my first service which consisted of oil change and 100.point inspection. I emphasized when I made the app the week before that I needed to get it in early because I had meeting out of town. I dropped the truck off at 7: 30 am sharp to ensure it was completed in time. The service adviser said they would need it for 1.5- 2 hrs which seemed excessive for a oil change, but whatever I planned to get a shuttle back to the office and still gave myself enough time to make the meeting. I never heard back from bennett after 3 hrs and eventually called them in panic to get my truck, yes 3 hours later for a oil change only to find out that it wasn’t even in the shop yet. I called the service adviser quite upset and she said they would get it in right away but didn’t have time to complete anything other then just the oil if I wanted it ASAP. So when they finally called that the truck was ready it was 4 hrs, and I missed my meeting that was critical for my job. Keep in mind I bought this truck new from Bennett months earlier. This is by far the worst dealership that I have EVER encountered. Save yourself the grief and aggravation and shop somewhere else. Yes 4 hrs for a friggin incomplete oil change.

From first contact Rany and Matt throughly put forth exceptional service, from showing us pictures, removing unsightly decals, every aspect of vehicle info clearly explained, vehicle history, emails, text messages, phone calls, and especially delivering the Jeep to London!

A special request was to find a bow to put on it as a surprise and Rany did in fact deliver, unbeleivable!

Your standards with regard to certified pre owned  clearly show as the Jeep was a masterpiece as it arrived, clearly detailed and maintenance was evident of a vehicle dealership that does care and pride about what they sell.  

Matt & Rany are phenomenal and this must be brought to your attention. A vehicle purchase can be stressful on folks but in this case specifically was exceptional in everyway.

Brought my truck in for a recall issue. Unfortunately they dident have the parts on hand and had to ship them up from the U. S. It happens it's not the end of the world. So it was gonna take a few days to get the truck fixed so they set me up with a rental for free fixed my truck when the parts got there and left my with a big fat bill of 0 dollars. Thanks Bennet for looking after me I'll definitely be back and definitely will recommend you guys to others.

My car was side swiped back in December, took my Chevy cruze to Bennet Chevrolet. Spoke to a collision person about potentially the woman how hit my car would be paying, he proceeded outside to take pictures of my car, came in wrote up a quote and gave it to me. I got a few more quotes the next day and the woman and I mutually decided to run it through insurance. I get a call a few days later from the gentleman and he is acting stunned that I ran it through insurance and tells me that I have to come in so he can take pictures? (Even though he already did) I questioned him cause I saw him taking pictures and he repeatedly said he did not. So I tell him I finish work at 4pm and I will be in. I arrive 4: 45pm and they have gone home for the day. My fiance gets a call from a woman and he said he was in yesterday but he will come back that evening, well there was a storm and we called her an hour before to let her know we would come the next day. We receive a call at 5: 10 and the woman says "ryan, its 5: 10pm and your not here? ! ", he explains to her the situation and they set a time for the next day. We went back not once but TWICE! Both time before 5: 00pm and the woman was not there (went home early or sick we were told). We took our car else where and didnt hear anything back. Now this evening my fiance gets a call from the woman asking to come in and take pictures, he repeatedly tells her that he went 3 separate times and no one was there. She raises her voice constantly interrupting him saying "I'm always here till 5pm, that's impossible, I'm the manager, who did you speak too". I cannot believe how rude she has been and how poorly we have been treated. We were given the run around several times and wasted our time and gas.

The service department is terrible at customer service. They are rude and unhelpful.

I have no issue with the sales department or the quality of my vehicle. The shuttle service is prompt and the drivers are friendly. Which is why you are getting 2 stars instead of 1.

I works call center for impect, and I spoke with Joanne, she is so rude, I have no idea why is she so rude, she need to low her tones. If she don't like the job she better go somewhere

Gotta say they really take care of their customers from the moment you walk through sales door to the moment you leave service department. My used car I bought from them had issues with vibration, they've done an alignment, balance, road force balance, replaced rim that wasn't true. Theyve done what they could but the vibration is still there.

Edit:

On top of that there is engine vibration. The vehicle has been in service about 20 times already and I just learned to live with the issue as the service department doesn't know what the problem is. They sold me a lemon and they don't know how to fix it. I called GM and they are also useless. They keep telling me the dealership says there is no problem when I bring the vehicle in. I regret purchasing this vehicle and I am not confident in the service department. I don't drive much anymore so the vehicle will sit in my garage until it won't start one day. I reduced the star rating because I don't trust the service department's ability to fix a complicated issue.

While I have never bought a vehicle here, their parts prices are ridiculously overpriced. Staff I dealt with was lackadaisical and the "Oh well, take it or leave it" attitude forced me to look elsewhere. Too bad it's not as nice as it looks on the outside.
