I walked into Best Buy store few days ago to check some appliances.beautiful store, well organized. However, when walk into appliance department nobody acknowledge me so I go through the department having a whole bunch of questions on my appliance purchase but nobody to assist me. After 15 minutes as I was walking out I bumped into a young guy who was scrolling through his cell phone.he look at me, just said "Hi", and continued to going through his cell phone. If this is future of service we getting in the store, then we're all in trouble. I understand those kids are al over the cell phones, but at work? Good luck Best buy!

When you order an electronic off the Best Buy website and they forget to include the free item that's supposed to come with the item and you talk to 11 different Best Buy employees both in-person and on the phone to help correct the situation and none of them don't know a single thing but when you contact the actual product's company all the way in Europe and the first person there has to apologize on Best Buy's behalf (which they shouldn't have) but gets the request done on the first go.you get this kind of rating. Oh and the ordered item had a dent and rip on the box to add insult.

I bought a lop top there last week.
I find that the manager were a bit pushy to sell me a the Waranty, membership and many other things.
The time that I was there I felt that I was like buying a car, it took me more-than an hour they didn’t have the lop top that I want because there out of stock, I ended buying a $1600 loptop?

The manager on duty was not at all helpful and doesn't value time. Be ready to waste 2 hrs if you went to buy a new phone.

After swearing off best buy from my past experiences at the Kanata location I found a tablet that they only had at the barhaven location so I decided I will try as my son really wants this tablet. I was blown away it is like night and day between Kanata and barhaven. Fast service pleasant employees that look like they don't mind being there! Will be going here from now on!

At this Best Buy, management and staff are clueless and are not helpful. Instead of finding solutions to the problem, they kept sending team leaders to discuss the problem over and over. When they had no solution to offer, she (the person I was dealing with) refused to give me her name.
I contacted Best Buy Canada and I was told that the management at this location (3777 Strandherd Rd) will reach out to discuss this issue with you. However, it has been 6 weeks with no response from Best Buy!
Avoid shopping here if you can!

This store could not beat competitors in terms of price, warranty options and free delivery.
Customer service at it's worse except by the actual salesman.

I have ordered a NEW Roku device online, and picked up in store, at 3777 Strandherd. They provided me with a device which was already used (damaged wrapping inside). I noticed that when I opened the box at home. Very disappointed (an understatement) with this store, I would give them 0 stars if possible.

Furthermore, although the store eventually exchanged the device with a new one, their staff were not so helpful, and did not acknowledge that something was wrong in the first place. But hey, my mistake to buy something from Best Buy (better named Worst Buy)

I have found their online order / curbside pickup a huge disappointment. I waited for 10 minutes, after checking, and finally gave up and went into the store to get my online purchase. The frustration far outweighed the convenience of the online purchase.

Purchased a Toshiba 43" Smart TV Sept 2020, so not yet 2 yrs old, and the TV no longer works! Unfortunately the manufactures warranty is only for 1 year, so there is nothing Toshiba will do, they suggested calling Best Buy, which I did, and since we don't have an extended warranty there is nothing they can do either, other than give us a 3rd parties number for repair, which we will have to pay for. I have purchased extended warranties in the past for my TV but the warranty expired long before the TV did, so didn't bother this time around, didn't expect the TV to die after less than 2 yrs.won't be buying another Smart TV that's for sure.

Usually Best Buy employees get on my nerves but the ones at the Barrhaven location are soooo amazing. 10/10 Josh and Kaha deserve all the promotions and raises! They really helped me out with buying a new Macbook Pro despite some issues with a return/ repurchase I did. They were also so nice and sweet:) Thank you guys so much!

Wow, so many staff, and they are all on their phones. I went through the store for about 30 minutes, saw at least a dozen staff on floor, and wasn't greeted by a single one. There were two I saw nestled away in the store in a corner on the floor, texting.

There was another group of staff, clearly friends just screaming, laughing, and pushing each other like they were at a playground.

When I got to the cash, it was apparent nothing was going g to be different. Two staff talking, even as they were checking me out. Had the most half-effort upsell on the warranty (basically "do you want the warranty? "). Before I was finished getting the receipt they turned away from me and started chatting again.

Store is clean, but cluttered.

Shocked to see the behaviour of the leadership team. Sent multiple emails to the store leader and Assistant store leader but there was no response. Tried several times to connect to discuss about an issue but there was no success to speak with someone.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! It’s insane the things these guys put me through but lemme explain.
I ordered a monitor for my school and it didn’t show up.
I went on live chat support they told me I can pick it up and the Barrhaven Location has it in stock. So I drove 40 minutes over for them to tell me the notes hasn’t processed yet and it can take a few days, BUT they can put it on hold for me, I agreed. 2 days later I get the confirmation, I drove AGAIN to this location for them to tell me they are sold out and don’t have any on order. I told them I was promised it would be held for me and basically they couldn’t do anything about it. These guys don’t care at all

Horrible service, every single time! I feel stupid for going back. Better off shopping online. Staff just sit behind the counter and don't come out to help. I finally flagged down one staff member who didn't want to get an iPad because it was up on a ladder so he called another co worker, after 5 minutes of waiting I tracked down a third person, who found spent the two minutes to get the iPad and run my card so I was on my way.

Would recommend setting of security sensor on the product you want for faster service

Historically years ago I had my worst retail experience ever at this best buy location. Since what I can only imagine is new management this location is run very well, I was approached by multiple staff looking to help, I was given good information and helped with my purchase.

If you are visible minority you might want to go to a different store if you can.

I recently went to this store for the first time on Thursday July 22nd at around 3pm, upon entering I was asked to take my backpack (one of the small Targus ones for business use) off and leave it on the floor by the entrance which is not the cleanest. I have never been asked to do it at literally any other store (not just talking about Best Buys), and the location wasn't busy, probably had about 30 customers inside tops. And there were no tags provided to me to claim my bag, so if the guy at the entrance went on break or finished his shift, the replacement person wouldn’t know who that bag belongs to and anyone could just claim it, doesn’t seem like a well thought out system.

I naturally complied, even though I question the request I understand businesses have the right to do so. But when I was walking around in the store I saw a white guy (I am Asian myself) with his backpack on, which made me feel uneasy. I recall that my backpack was the only one on the floor by the entrance.

Some of the staff have zero human relationship skills not sure if it's the age difference or cultural difference, or just being born with a cellphone in your hands, but if I'm shopping there I expect to be treated with some common human courtesy. Say "thank you" to a customer when they pay your salary. Maybe even force a smile. If you hate your job so much why not end it? Never thought I'd say this but i can't wait for machines to replace staff that so clearly hate their job and customers.

Jacob in the mobile section went above and beyond for us. We had trouble with our mobile providers and he solved everything for us and even gave us a free phone case for our troubles that he wasnt responsible for. 11 stars for Jacob.

Unfortunately I spilled my tea on my laptop a couple weeks ago now - my laptop that had both my kids photos since birth. It was absolutely dead - there were a LOT of tears.

We went to Best Buy right away, it was still dripping and met a wonderful man named Moses at the Geek Squad counter. He spent the next 24 hours trying to extract and save all my documents including my kid's photos. The computer apparently was already starting to malfunction even before the tea accident so he had a hard time and often had to move files individually. Successfully he saved everything I needed and I could not be more thankful! The laptop is dead but those photos are priceless and I am forever grateful. In my moment of panic, Moses was so lovely and I wanted to share my wonderful experience with him. We also met the manager before we left and he also had a big smile and was very nice to deal with.:)

Son went and bought a big screen tv, Loui was amazing. He took his time, went over and beyond in helping my son. In about 3 different times while purchasing something at Best Buy. Your the Best Loui

I wanted to purchase 9 laptops for my company and after speaking with an associate briefly, I was left alone with no help or assistance. I left and went to canada computers where I was given excellent service and got the computers I needed

The prices are not competitive and you can't make it down 2 ailes without someone asking to help you find something, which becomes annoying after the 7th time.

This Best Buy has ample parking. Has good displays for appliances and tvs. Only issue is the home theatre audio display is a little lacking.

Went in to buy a tablet. Guy that 'helped' us was not helpful at all. When asked a couple questions, he couldn't be bothered to find out the answers. His answer was simply I don't know.

It’s your typical Best Buy. Smaller in comparison to other locations, but they still have lots of inventory. They have frequent sales, and staff are great. They aren’t as demanding of you to buy stuff which I like.

This place has gone downhill. Literally all Somalians working in home theatre, don't know anything about any products, not personable, don't help carry the TV I bought into my car and they all look grimey as well. One guy wanted to ask me more questions about myself, the car I drive, how much I make at work etc, rather than me buying the TV, and wanted a job.

They fixed my Rogers PVR. The hard drive on my PVR stopped working - I could no longer record or watch previously recorded shows. When I phoned Rogers they confirmed that a "HdEr" message on the PVR meant the hard drive was no longer functioning. Since I own the PVR, the best fix was to replace the hard drive. According to Rogers, they are aware of only one store in Toronto that will do this. I phoned a number of computer stores in Ottawa, including the Kanata Best Buy, and they all said they do not work on PVRs. I phoned Barrhaven Best Buy, I believe it was the manager who did a quick internet search while I was on the phone and said he could do the work. So I took in the PVR and less than 24 hours later picked it up with a new hard drive installed. It works perfectly. The real mystery is why all the other stores I contacted don't want to even consider/investigate doing this kind of simple repair.

Product availability is generally good here. Staffing at this location is hit or miss. Some salespeople are very knowledgeable, others, not so much. Typically I feel comfortable shopping here, as the staff aren't pushy.

I took back an item this evening, as we had purchased the wrong product. I had paid cash for the item, but when returning it, the clerk serving me had no cash in her till. She asked me if I would accept it on my debit. I wasn't able to add I did not have my card with me. The other clerk has to come back to the service desk, off of her break, to sign in. I felt badly for her. It makes question though, when they say they aren't able to give you cash of you purchased on a debit or credit card? ¿

Should be zero stars for zero service! Called three times to ask a question about a refrigerator and no one is answering the phone. Guess they don't want my business.
