Too bad customer service. I was there on Fri, Jan 12th, 2024. I asked help for Cosoles section, nobody helped me. Each guy cames and told me wait for other guys. After 20 min I did not get any help and I had to leave store and go to another branch.

I used to love this Bestbuy for ten years, but things went downhill three years ago when the management changed. On Labour Day, we waited half an hour for help, and then Hailey, who's probably a manager, was so rude to a girl asking for assistance. She basically yelled, "I'm busy, ask someone else, " even though there were five people behind the counter opening a box not caring about customers. This isn't the first time I've seen Hailey act like this; it happened three years ago too when I was buying my laptop. I just left the store. Seems like Hailey's got a thing against non-native customers, which is just not cool.

A product I purchased almost started a house fire within four months of use. Best Buy could not give me an even exchange (it is a bread maker for my child with food allergies who can not safely eat store bought bread) and told me that if I purchased the product that they would go through the proper channels and get me a refund which would result in an even exchange. Customer service just denied my request which I am now escalating to the Better Business Bureau and sharing here. Not only is the in-store customer service outrageously bad. I.e. I was lied to, but the supervisory exchange is even worse. I recommend staying far far from this company and this store in particular. I am happy to take down my review once my refund is given. It is outrageous that an appliance almost created a house fire and I cannot get my money back.

I will add that I did reach out to Best Buy and then was told to reach out to Hamilton Beach directly, who is a horribly poor quality appliance maker, who also just gave me the runaround. If you feel like having a potential house fire, offering to bring the broken product into store, being told no it’s OK buy a new one and we will refund you by lying employees, then being asked for a bunch of photos over a number of months, then being told you can’t get a refund anyway, then being told to contact the manufacturer, then be told by the manufacturer that you need to send in the product so they can make sure that it’s actually broken even though it almost caused a house fire, then you should definitely buy Hamilton Beach products at Best Buy Richmond Hill.

Is there an actual number I can call and speak to somebody at Best Buy who will actually give me a refund? I have every intention now of contacting business bureau and consumer affairs and related enterprises in Ontario, Canada, and the US, as well as sharing on my social network. This is really egregious. I have now officially made 8 good faith effort‘s to get a refund that was initially promised to me for a product that almost burn my house down.

The worst Best Buy I ever seen. Is this location because the work has just to give you help for like, 5 minutes? They wanna charge You see them all the workers around. They walk around, but they don't do nothing.

Horrible experience with Store Manager Ali. I had ordered a TV online and when I showed up to pick it up, they asked for two pieces of ID. I provided my american driver's license and another govt.photo id issued by the states (as i recently moved to Canada). Ali kept insisting that the IDs need to be Canadian, even after I showed him the confirmation email and tye fact that the policy says "govt.issued id" and not "canadian govt.issued id", he kept insisting that i cannot pick up the TV. He ended up canceling the order (which is crazy to think that he would cancel order if he wasnt sure i am who i claim i am) and then reprocessed the order as in store transaction. More work for them and a few minutes of my time but a great example for how a store manager lets his ego get in the way of providing good customer experience.

Extraordinarily poor shopping experience. I came to the store to purchase a new cellphone. I stood at the cellphone stall for over 30 minutes after asking a store associate to find someone who would tell me more about the device.
I walked around the entire store to find other associates who could assist me, and those who were available either turned around and walked away, or were idly chatting in groups of 3-4.

The most upsetting part was that I was told that other associates were 'busy', but turned out that the associate who helped me eventually was one of the individuals who was hanging out in the back and chatting casually.

Onto the actual shopping experience - They don't even allow you to examine the product you're about to buy because they are locked to the desk and cannot be lifted off the table.

At no point did any of the associates attempt to tell me more about the phone I wanted to purchase - they simply asked "if you want it, you can buy it. Theres no way to examine the product". This is a > $1000 product, and I'm not even able to pick it up off the table to try using it?

New low for service at this location. Not sure where they’re getting their associates or if anyone is even training them. They lack simple common courtesies as saying hi or thank you. Very unpleasant experience

I went to this store on Black Friday.
I was told that they have price match policy and when I told them LOWS provides 10 percent off on all Samsung Appliances, they said please call them to confirm.
I called LOWS in front of them, it took me 30 minutes to have someone to answer the call from Lows and they confirmed that they have 10 percent off promotion for all Samsung major applianced.
While I had them on the line, I asked manager Scott to listen their confirmation but he rejected that, saying:
We don't do price match over the phone.

Azeem told me to call Lows, and then Scott didn't want to accept. This is ridiculous.
There was an employee with the name of ANEJA, who was so unrespectful to me too.

I will never come to this store again.

Scott was so rude and offensively impolite.

BTW, after all this, I went to Bestbuy at 50 Ashtonbee Rd Unit 2, Scarborough, ON M1L 4R5
And they completed transaction with 10 percent off within 10 minutes.

Last year, the Appliances Dpt. 's team openly and patiently helped me with putting a complete order of Appliances I needed with a very competitive price! I really enjoyed working with the gentleman however, I don't recall their names.

If you order online and choose curbside pickup the process is super fast! Although I wish there were more clearer signs for the parking stall numbers for pickup, the number signs are on the bottom of the fence and it's hard to spot where the designated spots are. Put them higher like Walmart's.

I placed the order on September 1, and the same issue wasn't solved after my 6th attempt to talk to someone online and calling over the phone. Your company really needs to use some upstream thinking to deal with customers so you won't waste time on both sides and save money from not hiring people constantly taking phones from costumers for the same issues. I recommend the management should read the book from Dan Heath to improve your customer services and provide more training to the team. The person online or over the phone just keeps sending customers to another team so they won't need to solve the issue. I visited the store after making a 20-minute phone this morning, and the person at the store still needs me to leave my contact to solve the issue with gift card. This should be done on the first day when I placed the order.

My only advise for others who consider shopping online at BestBuy is not to waste your time unless you have plenty of time to be wasted. Visiting a store might be a faster way to get what you need.

Purchased a 970 EVO Plus for my computer. Had trouble setting it up since it didn't come with a mounting screw. Went back and asked geek squad for said screw and they gave me 2! Works like a charm. Good price and customer service.

I'm very disappointed with its return policy. I purchased a chromebook from the online store with the promise that is works efficiently and is especially useful for school. Not a month later, I'm already detecting a few problems. The screen will sometimes glitch, it has trouble connecting to wifi, the battery takes forever to charge and the battery itself runs out very quickly. I have never dropped the device or download any viruses, it is strictly used for school so I have no idea why there are problems occurring. Unfortunately, I decided to return the product in hopes that they can fix it and I can purchase a new one. But they don't allow me to return items after a month.

Bought an LG Monitor from them that stopped working after 6 months, they told me that I have to contact the manufacturer, after a long wait on a phone call with LG I was referred to a repair store. Took my monitor there and dropped it off. After a week I called them and they said that LG didn't approve of the case, and the warranty doesn't apply. The only explanation they had was that the monitor was "damaged".

I was fortunate enough to get Brandon as my mobile specialist when I was looking into upgrading my phone. His customer service was out of this world and really cares about helping in every way he can. He was extremely pleasant and professional all the way from Point A to the closing of the transaction. He was also very knowledgeable from finding me the perfect phone and plan. Brandon answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable and confident with my purchase and decision. Haven't had this good of service in a long time and highly recommend going to him for your needs. Thank you so much again for your hard work Brandon!:)

Edited Feb 04,2021. The last item I was trying to buy was a 4k projector from BestBuy. It was on-line only so I placed the order by the end of 2020, and all payment went through. A shipping label was created right away.

However, 2 weeks later, Purolator shipping status still showing waiting for pickup in BestBuy. So I started calling BestBuy, email, and on-line chat. Created a service case on Jan 19,2021. But seems no one really looking into the case for another two weeks.

After a number of customer service calls (each have to wait for 40min at least,) eventually got a response, Feb 2,2021, telling me that the package was broken right before it was going to ship out, that was at end of last year. And "due to technical issue" no one was responsible to replace the order.

Now the projector is unavailable and they can only refund to me.

I don't understand how is this possible in a publicly traded large retail company. Wasting my time more than a month, not to mention the deducted interest of my several thousand dollars. I was very disappointed in how BestBuy handle their services for the incident. Definitely will not order from BestBuy anymore.

If I can give zero star for the review I would do so. To be clear this review is not against this specific store, but rather BestBuy in general.

Best curb side pick-up service out of any business in the GTA. Got the email that my item was ready for pickup less then half an hour after ordering online. And a gent knocking on my window with the item ready to go literally less than 2 mins after checking in at the parking lot. Well done!

I have never in my whole life witnessed such an utter disregard for human life by Taylor.

Tried curbside check in, but it didn't seem to work. Pulled up to the front as I had a crying 6month in the car, run out, knocked on the door. Came out Taylor. Despite the 6month crying infant, Taylor refused to get the order without me following the check in txt process. I showed him the text msg, and showed him that it doesn't work. He then made me go through all the steps again in front of him just to prove a point. I did, and it didn't work.

The entire time I kept begging Taylor to just look at the order number as I had a crying infant. Taylor simply didn't care and he had a point to prove. So once he witnessed the text not working, he told me to park and he'll bring it out.

I did, and after 15min, I ran to the front door to inquire what happened. By sheer coincidence Taylor comes out. When I asked him what happened? He said he wasn't getting my order because I didn't check in. Even though he saw me attempt it literally in front of his eyes.

With no other options, I left without getting the order. Unbelievable.

Went to return and got rejected saying “no returns today”. Never heard of this, if the store is open, you should accept return. Also I called first and the call centre told me to go in to return. Where in the Best Buy policy that there is a specific day that you don’t accept returns. This is why Amazon is winning the competition.

I placed an oder for curb-side pickup, it was only one item I had to wait 5 days for a follow up email.the email was not to pick up my order but instead it was to notify me that it was cancelled. I am very disappointed in the performance of this best buy. I have just ordered the same item on amazon.

Ordered online for curb side pickup received a confirmation stating it’s ready and can be picked up along with a link giving that stores specific hours for curb side pick up. I arrived 2 hours before posted closing time 6: 05 pm and when I went to check in it would let me. I went to the door and the employee who met me said “your 5 minutes too late we close at 6 pm. I said well when I checked the link that was attached to the online order it said 8pm.
Turned out to be a huge waste of time. I ordered the items online when I got home and Amazon delivered them the next day. This type of poor management will be the end of brick and mortar.

One of the worst shopping experiences in my life.
I was "helped" by a female sales associate near closing time in the TV section on November 30th. Only 2 staff for TV department? Sure ill wait. I already got in the door 15 minutes before closing and I knew exactly what I wanted. I saw she was finishing up with a special order for another customer so I waited close by. She finishes helping that customer so I approach her. "Can I get some help? " "No. Its 9: 00pm we are closed. " "I know exactly what I want" "Okay then" Since when was customer service conditional? Why does a paying customer have to know exactly what they want and not have to inconvenience a sales rep just to get some help? Did you forget you are getting paid? Did Best Buy start hiring volunteers or something? If so cheers! Anyway why would they even let me in the door if you're just gonna say no without even knowing what I want. The gentleman at the front entrance politely asked before I entered what are you looking for today? "A TV" "Sure go ahead just letting you know we are closing in 13 minutes" "That's fine I know exactly what I want". I get it you want to go home you had a bad day blah blah blah. There are still customers in store the more inclined you are to help them the faster they will probably leave. Lady if you are ever reading this review I hope you know there is a pandemic going on and people would kill for a job with all the temp lay offs. The least you can do is at least be somewhat helpful. You should def stay at home. I'm pretty sure the customer service experience would go up tremendously. I also forgot to add. She dropped my 43 inch TV while dragging it to the cash. If you cant carry it alone ask for help! I asked her is the TV gonna be okay? "Yeap if its broken you have until January 16,2021 to bring it back. I guess ill have no issues bringing it back regardless of the problem. If a manager is reading this review feel free to check the cameras in the TV section right after closing time. This employee needs a wake up call.

I used to prefer to buy most of my major electronics and appliances from this store. The staff were pretty helpful and products were really good until recently. It is almost 2 months now and my issue is still unresolved. I am not tarnishing the entire team just because few of them don't know how to treat a customer. When a customer speaks to you, answer them directly, not through a 3rd party. That is RUDE. I hope bestbuy understands that customer satisfaction is important and trains their staff better.

Went here as they are open in-store, wanted to buy a camera and din't know much about it but the staff there was really knowledgeable, and gave me really good advice on what to buy as I am just beginning my photography journey.

I went in with the intention to buy TV I already knew which one I already knew to pick it up pay and leave the socials with another customer associate was with another cuatomer kept waiting and waiting i'm right in front of him would not pay me any attention or even acknowledge me. Then after I see on this phone just following the guy throughout the whole TV section. Another associate walks by it goes straight to another older gentleman.i don't know if they thought the guy was more likely to buy TV cuz he's older. It just made me want to leave

Asked a manager if she could help me check if a product was instock. Website said it was instock, but shelf was empty. She walked off, i see here talk to several different groups of staff for about 2 mins each then disappears around the corner where i cant see her anymore. After about 10 minutes from when i spoke to the manager an associate approached me and said he could help because the manager was busy. Explained I was looking for this product, shelf was empty but website said it was instock. He walks off. I was a bit frustrated as i had thought for the last 10 minutes the product was being located but the manager actually had just been talking to a bunch of her staff about apparently unrelated things. I then watch the associate that had approached me do the exact same thing that the manager had done, talk to several other employees on his way to the back room, at least 5 mins pass he hasnt even made it into the warehouse. I finally see him go into the back room and i think it will only be another few minutes. 10 minutes later he emerges from the back room talking with another staff member slowly walking towards me. It takes atleast another minute for him to get close to me. I notice he has nothing in his hands. I just started walking away as this was ridiculous he shouts after me sorry couldnt find it. I may have lost my temper a bit and raised my voice and said that was the worst customer service i have ever received and explained how rude what i witnessed was. Again, i had a raised voice which i probably shouldnt have, but the customer service was so appalling I couldn't help it. The associate then claims I'm the one being rude now. I just turned, walked away, said bye as he was claiming his store won best customer service for the district last year.

HORRIBLE experience. Over 20 mins of my time wasted just standing there when i watched the staff talk to each other about unrelated things. Meanwhile there was dozens of blue shirts around that they could have asked to be focused on me needs. I get there are other things going on, but wow.

Your customer service online and via telephone is horrible. I find it hard "not to believe" your customer service is designed to discourage customers from online & telephone inquiries. So frustrating to say the least.

It's a big store filled with electronics and appliances. You need some help to navigate to the right aisle and to get answers about specs. Even during the Black Friday, I was able to find someone to help me and I was surprised when one of the guys approached me and asked if I need help.
The low rating comes as a result of the company failure in customer service. I have ordered online well before Christmas and my parcel never arrived as was going from warehouse to Canada Post and back. When I questioned, they happily offered a credit. Ruining my child Christmas is not their concerns.
Will buy from Amazon from now on.

I originally was sent to this store to purchase my cell from a different location 40 min away. Once i arrived the product was NEVER available here. I was disappointed and Larry and his staff in the mobile department put me at ease and assured me they would do what they can to get me my product from another location. These days it nice to see EXCELLENT customer service and having sales reps go above and beyond there expectations,

In regular days, this place is good, however during boxing day it seems that they are very understaffed. Once I got someone to finally help me, it felt like he was unwilling to help. A simple request of looking for a product was too much to ask.

Update, be aware of, when you buy online from Bestbuy, they do credit check, and you'll lose almost 25 point.
Got new all in one computer. I had better price from Amazon and costco. Best buy price was higher, they match price but they gave me geek squad plan which it was supposed to be included in price. And I got $100 charge from geek squad later. Not happy at all. Amazon is better price and customer service.

I can't believe this place. They have their game consoles locked up so I asked for help. After a long wait I'm told "I only work in appliances". Spent the next 10 minutes looking for someone else go help. The new associate then walked me over to customer service to verify that they had stock. Customer service confirmed and told me to wait in the regular checkout line. I got to the cashier and was told the last one was just reserved while I was waiting. I argued that I was there first, and had already confirmed that they had a unit available for me. "Nothing they can do". Unbelievable. Simply not acceptable. Shame on you Best Buy. Shame shame shame.

Horrible service. Waiting for long enough, and then get a sales knows nothing, they kept saying they are not working for this area, and can’t present us with anyone with adequate knowledge. Also really really bad attitude, can’t finish one sentence without looking around.

Simple layout and a wide selection of products and accessories for both PC and Console gaming. Staff is efficient and attentive, although we didn't buy anything. Well worth a visit if you are a savvy gamer.

It's a Best Buy. Big store. Boxy. Parking is shared with Walmart and a Pet Smart. People driving into and out of the driveway are obviously too busy to read the traffic signs prohibiting them from driving straight across the busy street from one lot to the other, so be sure to have good auto insurance when visiting this Best Buy.

Regular big sized best buy has everything and tons of household appliances too. Pity the service is non existent most times almost like they don't have enough people here or times have changed and inside sales just isn't what it used to be anymore. Now you just help yourself. Still love the proximity of if to other stores like Walmart, Canadian Tire, Loblaws, home Depot. Good location.

Saeid is a young and knowledgeable sales person in Camera section. He is very friendly and honest. I was not happy with their services regarding old experience, but this gentleman was very nice and opened all technical details. I bought two items the next day and will continue going there, as long as I know he will be there.
