Incredibly friendly staff and the service centre was very resourceful. They saw my issue through to the finish line (and the product wasn't even theirs!) I'd reccomend them to anyone looking for honest, friendly sales & service.

I'm new to bicycles and needed a new wheel, walked in and was immediately by the friendliest of staff who also kept checking up on me while I waited (which was probably less than 15 minutes) and got me going very quickly. No one made me feel bad for not knowing anything about the wheel and exactly what I needed. An absolutely amazing experience, and this will be the only bicycle shop I go to now!

All I needed was 4 bolts. Patrick actually cut the extra threads off and filed them to work properly on 4 threaded holes. When I asked how much the answer was "FREE"
I needed the bolts to help a acquaintance mount a rack. Based on this help I would buy my next bike here.

The staff at Bicyclesplus are top notch. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. They were went above and beyond in not only ordering my bike, but in locating shoes and accessories. As a first time road bike owner, they were patient when sizing my bike and offered assistance and tips with how to best mount/dismount and starting and stopping while using pedal clips and new shoes. I would recommend this shop to any rider new or experienced for all your cycling needs.

Bought a bike from a big box store and have brought it back 3 times with various issues. Brought my wheels in for a trueing and they were able to take care of me on the spot. Previously, I’ve purchased two mid-high end Trek bikes here (2014 Trek Fuel EX9 and 2017 Trek Farley EX 8) and two Cannondale Road bikes and the purchase and post purchase experience has been really good. Every time I go in, it feels like I’m going in to see “my shop”. Feels like home.

This review might sound strange but I want to take the time to thank Patrick for advising me to buy the bike I wanted, from another bike shop. When I first spoke him, y mentioned what I wanted. He asked and I gave him the reasons why I wanted this particular bike. They didn’t have that bike in stock. Patrick was straight up front, told me yes I could put down a deposit and order the bike (Trek Farley 7) but he couldn’t guarantee delivery time or price. Kudos for him not trying to sell me something else. I mentioned that there was one available at anther bike shop. Patrick told me that I should go and get it from them as he would rather see me with that bike then disappointed in not be able to get one next year.
I will definitely be back for the accessories that I’m going to want for my new bike.

I found service staff very friendly and helpful. They did not just answer questions they brought forward items I had not thought through completely. They built a bike for me to trial without asking for a down-payment. There is an after purchase program for service. I rode my bike this morning for the first long ride. The diagnosis of why my knees were hurting on my old bike proved correct. It was not fitted for me. I was able to ride today with more power and no pain. Well done Scott.

The store has a wide range of bikes and bike accessories. They range from average to high end. I like that I can make comparison on their website. My bike was set up and accessories added. Scott gave me explanations about my bike and lock, basket, etc. He helped make sure the seat fit. Scott also helped me set up my new car rack. Lots of time and effort on his part.

Absolutely amazing service. I went here to get some equipment for my road bike and everyone was beyond helpful. Helped me every step of the way. Especially John - he went out of his way to help me, even when things went later than expected and it passed closing! Couldn’t be happier with it.

Ordering a new mountain bike was stress free. There were, of course some expected delays due to the pandemic. In the end I got the bike that best suits my needs. I love this place! Whenever my son needs help with his bike the wonderful employees at bicycles plus are here for him. They have even given him little nuts he needed with no charge from the back shop. If his bike needs a little work he can’t do they help. If he needs advice they got it because they are so knowledgeable. Thank you so much for all you guys do!

We chose Bicycles Plus due to their favorable rating relative to other nearby bike shops. John and his team answered questions over email, in person etc. We went to the store and got some good advice on whether a Cruiser bike is suitable for our daughter. We ordered a bike for my mother-in-law which was easy and we made use of their tune up for my wife and my Trek's. I always try to keep these reviews balanced as nothing is perfect.my only small quibbles are that the tune up price I saw on their site wasn't what I ended up with, I guess the sale ended by the time we got our bikes in. Also, they cleaned the bikes well, except for a few small spots here and there. Still overall excellent shop, highly recommend!

Newbie cyclist here. I was looking for a local bike shop and came across Bicycle Plus. From the moment I first walked in, I received a really warm welcome. Everybody here is friendly and professional - John and Arlene have set up a great team! I was helped out by Patrick, who is a top-notch fellow and really phenomenal (as you might see other reviewers have posted). He was really patient with my questions and helped me and my wife pick out suitable bikes. Whenever I can, I still pass by the store to ask more newbie questions and they answer them patiently. It's always a great time in the store.

Bicycles plus is exactly what an LBS should be a place to get bikes, service your bike, talk about bikes, meet others who love bikes, share stories, and some great coffee I don't live close by anymore but drove an hour to visit Bicycles Plus and see John and his crew. John took the time to show me some bikes in stock incoming as well as size up what he had in stock. With a few adjustments and a different stem john found me the perfect bike with a perfect fit

I brought my bike in for a tune up and I appreciated the speed/efficiency of the work and the honesty of the staff when it came to recommendations for changes to my mountain bike. The staff's enthusiasm for their work was very genuine; they were interested in finding the right individual solution for you. I will definitely be returning for service/repair and for equipment.

Patrick is a great guy, really their to help you. I don't have much experience with the buissness as a whole but my dealings with Patrick was excellent! Good customer service is rare these days. You can buy a bike from any bike store but the person to person service keeps people like me wanting to come back.

They were super helpful! I'm a bigger person and they did not treat me any different than their other customers. That can all NOT be said about most sports stores. I felt very welcomed and valued! Will definitely go back!

I come from the Bluffs to Whitby for the knowledgeable and friendly staff. I’ve had my Cervelo R2 tuned up twice and both times I was talked down from the most expensive tune-up package; this is a place you can trust. Can’t wait for the lockdown to end so that I can come in for a fitting.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, found exactly what I needed and was eager to chat bikes even after we had checked out. Lots of unique and interesting bikes on the shop floor in for repairs or for sale.

I left my rear wheel here early spring for a bearing swap. They said it would be ready in a couple of days. The owner met me outside and dropped my wheel bashing my new break rotor on the bike rack outside. He looked at it and he determined he had not damaged it… I returned weeks later and he had not started my repair. I asked why and he had not entered my repair into the computer. I took my wheel home at that point and they offered me an appointment at the end of the queue in a month. I took my wheel to the boiler room at joyride 150 where they were able to swap the bearings without delay and point out that my new break rotor was bent from when bicycles plus had dropped it.

I needed a flat tire repair and a gear adjustment. They were able to take me right away. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. In half an hour I was all sorted and ready to go. I can’t thank them enough. Rob, my bike mechanic, was so efficient and nice. I will definitely be back and would recommend them highly.

They are fair and passionate about bikes, an elite store, but doesn't feel "elitist" - doesn't matter if you ride a Supercycle, or Fisher Superfly, they will respect your ride. Rescued an old (1998 i think?) Trek 6500XS from a scrap-metal heap, cleaned up pretty nice.but shifters/derailleurs were TOAST - brought it for a looksee and to grab some new parts. OR SO I THOUGHT!
The bike-wizards in the pro-shop resurrected this 'Mutha' to shifting like new mint.in like 20 minutes.no parts needed.and they invoiced VERY gently (only on the work needed to be done; less than an entire "basic tuneup package").

Super happy. Had a bent rim, drove up they turned it around way faster than any shop around seems to be able to do any service (weeks to months lol). Had it back the next day. Made the mistake of not asking how much it would cost but was PLEASANTLY surprised on pickup, very reasonable. Will be back! New loyal customer!

We initially had some hiccups with the fixes but after bringing it to attention to owner/staff it has been momentarily addressed and fixed with no additional charges and hassles. I am really impressed with their customer service, they are courteous, patient and eager to make the customer happy. They are also reasonably priced compared to other competitors. They already got my business for any bike related stuff.

Very informative staff. Willing to spend the extra time with you when looking at purchasing a new bicycle. Follow up on the day of delivery exceeded all my expectations by spending extra time going over the bicycle, its different components, the setup and the use of the electronics included with it. Overall a very pleasurable experience.

Managed to wedge the chain on my new bike first time out. The staff at Bicycles Plus fixed it quickly and installed a new bell and mirror. When I paid I thought they had missed something on the bill because it was less than I expected. Very happy.

Great hop to deal with. Friendly and responsive, they were able to deliver what I needed promptly and without issue. In addition, were able to make substitutions for me on the fly which was very welcoming. Would not hesitate to do business with them again.

I was in need of a 650c bicycle wheel repair. Bicycle plus attempted to repair but due to sourcing issues beyond their control they had to return the wheel. They where extremely professional and courteous and with Covid-19 they where very safe. I give accolades to them in these trying times, I will definitely be going back to them.

My girlfriend and I had bought 2 Trek Marlin 5's, after doing some research and rethinking about my 5 I decided to change up to a 7. They let me return my 5 and get the 7 even after riding it. I saw good reviews online that was what first brought me here. They offer good quality products, names I know that have lasting quality. Very knowledgable about the bikes. I biked many years ago and just got whatever. So getting back into I appreciate the help. The sales rep was happy to answer my questions. I did not feel rushed. Even with Covid and the extra measures they all really taking the time to help on the phone and in person. I went home and looked up stuff online just to make sure I got what I really wanted. Very happy I picked this bike shop.

The service department and staff here are excellent! They managed to do a great job truing an old Mavic XM rim for me that was in rough shape. What I like most about this shop is that although they have a large selection of high end bikes for sale, no one here has the arrogant and sales pressure attitudes you find at other bike shops. I like doing minor maintenance/repairs myself and when buying parts, I get support and tips from this place. When I'm in the market 2-3 years from now for my next cross country or trail bike, Bicycles Plus has my money.
