Bien Pho Vietnamese

Food is very good. Green curry was miam and their soups are good Restaurant was empty, though loads of take out so atmosphere was meh.

Great food and service! The waiter is always happy to help with all your needs. Had the fried noodles and pho (which they made spicy just for me) and I’m never disappointed here. Do recommend!

Went to eat there for dinner with my son. We had planned it all day and travelled a long ways to get there. It was open, a couple customers inside eating. We were told sorry I am closing to prep but you can take to go. I said can we eat here if we are quiet. He said he is prepping but could do take out and that he doesn’t have servers. Mind you this restaurant is a small as a medium-larger bedroom. He is able to make the food but not walk 5 feet to serve it? We will never go back. My son was looking forward to it, as was I but mostly writing this for my son (5 yrs old) disappointment. He loves Pho soup. We walked to T, Basil where we usually go regularly once a month, we spent $50. So if the guy who turned us away is reading this.you missed out on some money and customers who wanted to try a new spot. All you had to do was walk 5 feet to serve. There is a place in manor park area where one guy operates his restaurant by him self sometimes and never turned us away and serves us by himself.

We came here once night because I was craving Bun Bo Hue and they did not disappoint. We've tried all the pho places in Orleans and this one is my favourite.

The boyfriend always gets the pho and I always get the Bun Bo Hue. We've brought friends who have tried the nice and salad wraps (both very good). The owners are very nice and always come out to say hello.

We drive 35 mins just for take out here. The food is so fresh and delicious and the owner is so kind and friendly! Highly recommend, strong 5 stars!

Great pho and really yummy food! I’m particular about my pho broth and this one is super good. The crispy noodles with vegetables are really good too. Anything you choose will not disappoint. Would highly recommend:)

The most delicious Thai food! Been ordering here for years. Friends and family jealous thai in their ends of town nowhere near as good.

I've been to a few places in Ottawa for Pho, and by far this is the best one. This is the only place I come to for Pho.
The food is soo good, the owner is very friendly, professional and pleasant to deal with.
The food takes a few mins to prepare, but this is because they are cooking you a very good meal.
If you are ever in the mood for Pho, come here.

No matter how many places I try, I always come back to Bien Pho for their lemongrass shrimp pho. It is hands down my favorite broth!

The order was delayed twice and instead of apologizing the owner was extremely rude. Don't waste your time, there are so many pho places around with friendly and fast service.

I ordered take out on line, soup and Pad Thai. Picked it up 15-20 minutes later. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. I will definitively be ordering from there again.

We have ordered here many, many times but we were thoroughly disappointed with our service last night. The staff we normally deal with are usually great and the food is good but the person working the phone/counter Saturday was so impatient and condescending that it really turned us off the place. In particular, the refusal to answer basic questions about the menu, the incorrect order, and the fact that they called me 15 minutes after I placed my order to rudely complain thay they were closing and would not wait for me (I was in the parking lot.and who closes right at 8pm on Saturday?). My wife just gave birth a few days prior and was craving pad thai. We got noodles/beef and rude treatment despite mutiple requests (while being cut off mid sentence) to ensure veg was added to the pad thai. I hope it was a one off but a really bad experience.

Hidden gem. We go out of our way to pick up here. Always a great experience. Consistently very good or better! Make sure to check it out you won't be disappointed.

Good pho is hard to come by in Orleans - I've tried them all but this is the only one worth giving a review. I've had Bien Pho over the years since they've opened and their quality has come a long way. The flavour of the beef soup rivals that of the best in China town. It is also the same family that has owned the restaurant and they are so friendly. I'm so happy that they are in Orleans, which means I never have to leave Orleans for great tasting pho.

As someone who has visited Vietnam, eaten at more than 50 pho restaurants throughout Canada, I can say this was my least favourite pho place for the following reasons:
1) PHO: the beef was not the best cut of the beef one usually uses for pho; it felt like a cheap meat that was hard and not thinly cut nor tender like how it should be for pho tai (rare beef noodle soup).
2) BUN (Vermicelli) : we had the chicken vermicelli; the chicken was mainly fat, and pieces of the chicken meat was connected by strings of fat. Plus, the salad had a western -style dressing, which is not right because traditionally, the salad that comes with Vietnamese vermicelli should be fish sauce or something very light, not a Kraft cream-based dressing.
3) Price: I get that pho in Ottawa is exceptionally and relatively expensive in comparison to Toronto and Vancouver; however, this was a rip off. The large and medium sized pho had the same amount of noodles and meat, but with a large, you get more broth. Why are the customers paying 2 dollars more for JUST more broth, which tastes quite bland to be honest, and brings me to my final point,
4) Broth: the essence of pho is in the broth. The broth tasted like something bought from a prepackaged tetrapak broth from the groceries store. I had to drown it in sriracha sauce just to make it palatable.

Suffice to say, I will not be back.

I’ve eaten here in the past and the food was good. Wait time for food to be prepared was long but worth it. Went to order takeout today (Nov 14 2020) and saw that two people in the kitchen - I assume they were preparing the food - not wearing masks. I left the restaurant without ordering food out of concern for staff not wearing masks during this time period and got food at the Lebanese place next door.

Great portions, the veggies were crisp and fresh, the chicken was moist and flavorful. I had enough left for another meal. I will definitely order again.

Love the freshness and the flavoring of there broth for the pho soup. My favourite place to order Vietnamese food in Orleans.

The food is excellent. We were a party of 5 and everyone’s meal was top notch. I had Pho and it was the best I’ve had so far. Owners chatted with us and made us feel right at home.

Been going there since I am 12 years old now 26. Introduced the restaurant to all my friends and still and always will be me and my friends favourite pho place! Tried other places but nothing beats them! I wish they would deliver to Rockland! Been bugging them for years!

Tried this place for the first time and it was a big disappointment. Ordered 3 different dishes and 2 spring rolls for take out totalling $51.80. When I walked into the restaurant for pick up the first thing I noticed was the place had a rancid, fishy smell. At this point I should have just turned around and walked out of the place but instead I paid for the meal and brought it home. After opening up the containers we notice that none of the food had an appetizing smell or tasted fresh. It was all bland with no authentic Vienamese or Thai flavours. All dishes tasted like they were boiled in non-stick Teflon pans as opposed to high heat woks for frying. The pad shrimp Thai consisted of an overly cooked mushy mass of noodles that was not edible. Nothing appealing about any of the dishes and zero savoury flavours and aromas that you'd expect from Viet-Thai food. Even the spring rolls were bad. They were stuffed with mostly chopped ice-burg lettuce and a bit of shrimp - nothing else. Totally tasteless
I don't know if this place has recently changed owners because the previous reviews are mostly positive. As of this date, this place is not worth your business. It's way overpriced and very poor quality food.

I ordered take-out from here, and they went above and beyond to deliver it - great customer service! Unfortunately, I have to agree with another reviewer here about the underwhelming flavour. Granted take-out is never as tastey as in-house; hopefully if I'm ever in the neighbourhood and get to eat in I'll be just as impressed as this restaurant's other patrons.

Honestly the best vietnamese in Orléans! And Ottawa! The service is always so prompt and friendly! If you haven't tried the hot and sour soup, would highly recommend!

Always wishing and hoping for more good restaurants in Orleans. Just tried Bien Pho for the first time and it was fantastic! Found out it’s been around for close to 15 years so actually angry at myself for missing out on this place. Food is great and reasonably priced and owner was very gracious and friendly. Already been back a second time and planning on making this a regular take-out option!

Gotta share the love, Pho is my comfort food. When I am sick, or fighting the blue's it makes me feel warm inside. No pun intended. This place is always top-notch, the Chicken Pho Gha made spicy with some baby cord added mmmmmm

Tonight I was touched by a kind gesture by Bien Pho. I am loyal order food cause, I love it the service is good, never want anything in return. Other than to return to an excellent meal again, and again.

Tonight, the owner delivered my food and told me he appreciates my loyalty and said next time order call me I want to give another pho, for free for someone else in your house.

Super B, paying the loyalty forward never needed to be done cause your food rocks, but thank you very much. I shall take you up on that pho ;)

Pho Thai was great, broth was excellent, pork in the vermicelli bowl was so so. Great hospitality though and quick service.

Best Vietnamese in Orleans! We probably order take out every weekend from this place, addicted.maybe. We order a variety on the menu and we are always more than satisfied. Plus, the spring rolls make the place and this restaurant have killer spring rolls and salad rolls, probably best I ever had! The portions are always good, not cheap on the meat like other Viet in Orleans like Saigon Pho. We used to love Saigon Pho, until they jacked up the price and decreased the portions. But at that time, we didn't know about Bien Pho. Don't waste your time and money, just go to Bien Pho and you will thank me.

The food was very good and the plates came out in timely manner.
The only thing I did not appreciate is the price dispute at the end. We needed to ask for the menus to show the waiter how much our dishes cost.
Lastly, they only accept debit/credit transactions with purchases over $16 and over. We would have appreciated being informed of this before.
Overall I don't think I'll come back. There are other Vietnamese restaurants in Orleans that are happy to take my money in one form or another without the guilt trip.

Went by 15 min after their opening. Door was locked. Phoned and was told they would not open for 1/2 hr because understaffed. So drove home.

Always a nice meal at a reasonable price. As always the service was very friendly. We had our favorite treats from the Vietnamese menu: . #9 w/shrimp and #31. Always a taste great and a generous serving.

It’s our favourite go to restaurant as it’s much healthier than fast food and at a very reasonable price. Very yummy and healthy food. We truly feel like family when we sit at their table! All are very friendly, accommodating always provide an excellent service!
