Love the fact that you can get your aquarium needs ALL in one place. The man working in the "Reptile Dept" was very informative and friendly to talk to. He weighted and assessed my daughter's python.

Great place to window shop. I love looking at the fish, chatting with the shops' parrot Roscoe and chatting with the friendly staff!

Big Al's grooming is beyond amazing. We were searching for a new groomer, but many would not accept larger poodles. We brought Yuri to Big Al's with an overgrown coat, but they created the best trim he has ever had. The customer service was amazing and Yuri was not stressed when we picked him up. We will be returning here for all future grooms. Thank you so much for the work you do.

Absolutely disgusted with how this store has gone down hill. I've been going to this store for 25 plus years, recently I've had gotten a pet from this place an a few months later it passed.due to a genetic defect of the animal. The Manger Uzna is a joke, trying to blame me for not feeding the animal properly.when I've still have pets from recent years from this store.the owner should step up an re think there staffs knowledge

Getting back into the hobby after many years and received excellent help and guidance from knowledgeable fishroom staff. Love the fish I purchased on several occasions.

Started an female betta 'sorority' tank a little while ago. I transitioned from guppies - definitely not the best companions for bettas! Mike, in the fish department, was very helpful with suggestions and tips regarding some new plants and 'cleaners' for the girls. So far, everyone is getting along and the tank looks great! Thanks Mike!

We had a issue with our Perollet bird. Which had a over grown beak. We called the Hamilton Avery. And they recommended Big Al's. We called up & made appointment with Krista. She was very knowledgeable, Polite & comforting. My wife is a pet fanatic. It took 15 mins to resolve the issue. She gave us a lot of information. Highly recommend Big Al's & Krista

Fish room employees seem to be more interested in talking amongst themselves than helping customers. I wandered in there for 15 minutes and not a single offer of assistance in the fish room. I'm not chasing down your employees. You obviously don't want my business so I gave it to another pet store. You lost over $1000 in sales yesterday with just one potential customer. I wonder how much money you've lost over the last 6 months?

My favourite go-to pet store. I go here almost on a weekly basis. Excellent customer service and range of products.

Big help from the most friendly staff. Kern and James have been extremely helpful with extensive knowledge of aquarium do's and don'ts. We now have a beautiful set up with a variety of colourful fish that were available here. A huge thanks to James, Kern and the Big Al's team!

We hit Big Al's bi-weekly as my son is obsessessed with the fish room.

Every time we have gone in, a few of the staff in the fish room could hone in on my son's Autism.

They always ask if he would like to feed the fish.

So far his favorite is feeding the large Koi.

We also buy our pet supplies here now.

Excellent help and fantastic selection of everything you need for aquarium's and more. Live food, plants and equipment. Very knowledgeable staff and high quality stock that is a cut above the retail big box stores. I appreciate Connor's recognition of me as a customer and the friendliness that he shares his knowledge on the species and the types of conditions they need to flourish. The pricing is excellent here and the stock is super healthy and shipped regularly. They even have a waitlist for species you are looking for.

I had to get some pond fish a couple weeks ago. Tall guy named Mike with a raptors hat who works in the fish department was super helpful, Enthusiastic and funny. Its great to see a new helpful face.

Incredibly rude customer service at the fish service. Acted like they were doing a favour selling us the fish. Thankfully didn’t buy the fishes from them and never will. Many other smaller stores in the area. I don’t recommend this location.

The workers in the fish department clearly don't know the meaning of customer service. The man I spoke with in the fish room was incredibly rude and dismissive. When a customer asks you a question, at least take half a minute to listen to it rather than just dismissing them with a word and briskly walking away!

We drove all the way from Niagara, and the people at our local shop are so much nicer and more attentive, the difference is night and day. We took our business elsewhere, to our local shop in Niagara. Support local, not these big chains who clearly couldn't care less about customers.
