Fantastic service. Marc and his crew are always friendly and looking out for the customer. Scott, Brent, and Ryan are top notch guys. (Still haven't met John). Very clean store. If you are looking for something in the comic book world, they will try and help you out. And were great with safety over the pandemic. All stores should strive for this type of service.

Really good store. I contacted them about shipping a copy of ASM 121 overseas via the website, they responded quickly and set up the order form for my country super fast. They also shipped it out the same day, packaged very securely. Thanks!

I was just there recently. Amazing store. Really nice lay out. Tons and tons of super cool stuff ranging from artists works to comics to accessories that will keep your artifacts well protected. And their prices are fantastic. Super helpful staff; friendly and they know their stuff. Check them out, and support a local super cool business!

Great place with knowledgeable staff. Love the new location, but the parking lot is a bit tricky.

Their comic selection is great, their collectibles not so much. If you are interested is selling toys or collectibles to them, I would recommend attempting to sell them on your own via facebook/kijiji. They offer you bottom dollar, 2 bucks for a Transformer figure for example, then turn around and sell them for 25.00. I have sold to them a few times, and you always leave feeling like you have been slightly cheated. Only sell if you are desperate to get rid of items.

On another note, the customer service from the big guy with a beard is great, the little bearded guy with glasses always seems slightly inconvenienced when dealing with people.

Employees were very knowledgeable and helped me with all questions I had! Love the new location. Looks great!

The selection is excellent and the prices are good. Today was my first time coming to Big B Comics and I found a rare Spider-Man Funko Pop and a Miles Morales graphic novel at great prices. This was my first time coming here and it will now be my go to comic book store. I highly recommend Big B Comics in Barrie!

Apparently there’s a limit on how many of the same comic book you buy. Heaven forbid you want 2. ‍️. Also, a $7.99 comic book with the board and plastic (25cents extra) comes up to over $12? US $7.99 perhaps? If so, that’s definitely not mentioned by the staff. Meh.

In reply to the owner’s smug and unprofessional comment: We are in CANADA not US, so when I asked your staff how much the book was, and she replied with “$7.99”, I had no idea I should’ve automatically think: “$7.99 US, of course! ”. Seriously, buddy? ‍️ I highly doubt EVERY CUSTOMER is aware of this. I haven’t seen a clear and visible sign about this anywhere in your store, so maybe you should try to change that. Or invest in better lighting. Or actually tell customers what the REAL price of a product is, in Canadian currency. Another thing: how did anyone “outsmart” you? There were two people and each person got ONE comic book. Isn’t that your policy? Also, no it didn’t bother me that I had to get out of the car and get it, which I would’ve in the first place, however I had a teething toddler in the back seat I had to attend to… so you can keep your smug comment to yourself. I can’t imagine having someone like you as a boss. Wow.

Awesome toy store! I collect all kinds of toys. This store made my day. They had new and old. It was perfectly organized and clean. The staff is beyond amazing. I felt so welcome.

I routinely visit from 1.5 hours away, well worth the trip! Great selection, friendly staff. They even let me pay for my purchases by e-transfer once when I forgot my wallet! 5 stars well deserved

I’ve been going to Big B over several switches in Ownership over the years. It was like a second home at one point. Great customer service, great stock, if you’re looking for something specific, they might have, or know where that niche thing can be found.

This store knows what's up. They give you the freedom and space to browse and don't bother you. When you need help and ask they will jump to attention and go above and beyond to assist you. When in comic book and sports cards stores they should all be like this with the customers.

Love this place I’m there literally 3 times a week if not for myself for my 6 year hope you guys are around forever

One of the greatest comic book stores I have ever been too, great staff, great selection of comics, graphic novels, and collectables. And if you subscribe to your favourite titles you never have to worry about missing an issue.

Love this place! Whenever I have questions there is someone there that is knowledgeable enough to answer them and I've also gotten some great recommendations from the staff.

One of the best stores around for comics and other pop culture items you may be looking for. The owner as well as the staff are friendly, polite, respectful, and honest. They always make me feel welcome and I find they are very courteous to me during my shopping experience. Can't say enough great things about this store. Top Notch!

Even during the pandemic; comics are needed and this place is comics+. Good people. Good location. Browse as all the nostalgia and buy local. Fortnite comics found. Bought. Batman Zero lives. Go there.

After reading the reviews of this place I decided to bring my kids there for their first comic shopping experience. That was a big mistake. The guy behind the counter had no interest in helping us and was rushing us out. There was a5 person limit. With my wife and kids there were 5 people in the store so I was going to wait outside. There was another person waiting outside and was told to come in. Why did I have to wait outside. My wife was told she would have to hurry up. This really ruined my kids first experience to a comic store.

Great shop for all your comic and graphic novel needs. A large selection of collectables as well as Funko Pop stuff. The staff is very knowledgeable about the stuff they sell and the store itself is laid out perfectly. Comics are priced well and the back issues are easy to find. Overall an excellent shopping experience.

Great, and I mean GREAT selection of comics, graphic novels and figurines. I had no idea what to get my nephew for his birthday, the staff asked a couple of key questions and pointed me in the right direction. Just want to say, I’m the favourite Aunt now!

Been going for about a year now. Staff are quite knowledgeable in the comic industry.
The store has a good inventory (1 star) and is well kept (2nd star). However, I prepaid for the entire king in black series and every single issue i picked up was damaged. Each comic had a peeling spine (all white). The 5th issue had severe damage to the top spine. The 2nd issue had a bend crease in the last page.

They seem to pick who they give quality customer service to.

Great selection of new and vintage stuff and the staff is awesome! They even do deliveries during lockdown

Before the holidays I asked for some suggestions as to what to read over the break. I got some great books - some I would never have thought to buy. Would recommend if you've never been to a comic store before and would like something interesting to read.

This store has good products, sometimes hard to find products for very reasonable prices. I give this rating due to the poor quality customer service I have received at this store time & time again. I have visited & purchased items from this store many times, but I must admit most of the staff, especially the main staff, are very unfriendly. They seem to act as if your presence in the store is an inconvenience to them. Even if you are roaming alone in the empty store, for the most part, they don’t offer a hand to help you find what you are looking for. It seems like they would sooner rather you leave the store. I still shop here every so often, because myself & my son have interests and hobbies that correlate well with the products this store has to offer. Although I would only recommend shopping here if you are not able to find the product you are looking for anywhere else first and use them as a last resort.

I'm torn in this review.the store is clean and well laid out and organized.huge selection of vintage & new titles plus they have a decent section of comics and other books for young kids under 5yrs old. When the store does their big event in May which is free comic book day they go all out with face painting for kids and raffles and people dressed up in different super hero character costumes and alot of other fun things.but on the other hand some of the staff can be a little snobby to people that dont know much about comics and all the different reboots and multi verses. The prices on most items in the store are very high and the asking price on so called vintage & well used toys are almost the same if not more then retail store prices and when I went into the store with my son here in barrie I asked if the one guy was the owner and he said yes so I asked if there was any discounts he could maybe help a single dad with and his reply was everything in the store is a deal then smirked. I got to the till to cash out and the clerk was a little snobby with his attitude towards me.the clerk asked if I would like to have the plastic bag covers for the comics.thinking they were no extra charge I said yes.but each plastic sleeve was. 25 cents.the total for 4 comics a used iron man toy and 1 pin plus a plastic toy green lantern ring was 46$. I had to put back 2 of the comics and only kept the one toy and 2 comic books plus the ring and it still ran me 25$. I asked why they charge for the sleeves when they use to be free and I was told the only reason. They use to be free was at one point I was signed up for the monthly email and got the sleeves free because I was a member but that I was no longer a member because I hadn't picked up any issues in over a year so I asked if I could re join only to be told that I could only be a member 1x and after that there was no chance of becoming a member again.so needless to say the next time I will be going back with my son is when free comic book day is back in the month of May.but one cool thing the store does offer is a free comic book for every A on a child's report Card so that's a bonus for kids with good grades.

Always friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff that have secured us regular customers even though we come from out of town. And our kids always look forward to bringing in their report cards for Big B's Comics for A's incentive.
