Big Bay Animal Hospital

I recently had to put my poor baby down (Bella) I have never been so happy to have her been so well taken care of before and after she left us. The staff is incredibly passionate. One thing I worried about was leaving my little girl alone. They never left her for a moment. They showed compassion, love and supported my family and I through this difficult time. They explained the step by step process and allowed us time to say our final goodbye.

I have to thank everyone on staff here, Bella especially loved Miss Melissa! Bella loved going to this vet office even when she wasn't feeling the greatest.

I would recommend the entire team here hands down.

This place is amazing- the front desk staff is beyond helpful and Dr. Nazir is incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. Everything you’d hope for in a vet. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Extremely friendly and caring staff. Both vets that we met showed us they had our dogs best interest at heart and in mind. Their prices are fair and the store front has a family cozy feel to it. It’s not a large place. I definitely recommend them.

I have very mixed emotions about Big Bay. We would like to thank the staff for letting us make payment plans for the treatment for our beautiful bunny Louie.
Louie had a very rough 3 months with the removal of her eye, dental surgery and vertigo. We trusted the staff to treat her with love and to make the right choices, but unfortunately that didn't happen.
It was our understanding that Louie was supposed to get all her dental work done all at once and that didn't happen, when I asked why all the work wasn't done I never was told an answer why. Unfortunately all of this stress lead to the vertigo.
What also makes me so upset is that I would never get my phone calls returned and knowing that the staff was talking behind my back was so unprofessional.
Louie's breathing turned for the worse and Big Bay would not see her, I was told to go to Guelph or 404 hospital.
Unfortunately Louie had to be put down by another vet because her breathing was so bad.
Would I recommend this hospital to other bunny owners, I can't say I would.

I've been with Big Bay since 2008 & I would be lost without them! They have always taken amazing care of my fur family members, always shown me kindness & respect! I will always recommend Big Bay to anyone searching for a caring, dependable, informative & helpful Veterinarian clinic. Thank you so much Big Bay staff for all you do for my fur babies. You've been there for them during their best days, not to mention their last days. I trust you all so much and i cant thank you enough for everything you've ever done.

The staff at Big Bay are so friendly and take such good care of my dog and 2 cats (Holly, Molly, and Olly). Special shout out to Sherrie who goes above and beyond for our cats. She is totally a cat whisperer! She is so compassionate and caring and it is so clear with the way she takes care of our cats. I am so glad we found this vet clinic!

We respected this vet until recently when our dog, who had medical issues, had blood work that showed kidney failure. This vet recommended surgery on his mouth when he should have been transparent about his condition. As a result surgery went forward and a few months later our beloved dog had to be euthanized. The vet in Mexico did blood work and explained the results and compared it to the blood work done by Big Bay. He was very transparent and compassionate about the situation. Unfortunately we did not receive this from Big Bay. Shame on you.

We take our dog here. Staff is very kind. They're always good at squeezing my dog Iin for an appointment when she has emergencies. I purchase my dog's food from here because she's on a special diet and every time I call or enter the clinic everyone is superhelpful and polite.

They are absolute cat specialists! We just moved to Barrie and brought our two cats in for their check-ups and vaccines, and Sherrie our technician was amazing! She is the first person at a vet clinic to see our cats warm up to her, and is a total cat whisperer. Dr. Sarah is amazing and thorough! They obviously love cats and our cats have never been more relaxed after getting home from the vet. We found our forever clinic, thank you so much!

Great animal hospital. Friendly and take very good care of our pets. We had an unscheduled follow up call to see how our pet was doing from a visit a couple.of weeks prior. Nice touch. If you are looking for a vet, give them a call.

This establishment still enforces Covid/tyrannical rules while I don’t need to wear a mask to go eat, to go work out I need to wear a mask to come and be with my dog during a visit. I’m sorry but this is Canada and I don’t support those who don’t support freedom. I’ll gladly take my business else where and write a review so the momo owner read this and feels it. We are very happy with Dr. Kup and everyone at Big Bay Animal Hospital! We switched veterinarians because the last vet treated our Oliver (a mini goldendoodle) like a number. Oliver had been seeing the first vet since he was about 10 weeks old. He was examined and given his 2nd & 3rd round of shots. There were no follow up calls to see how Oliver was doing after his shots. In fact, I had to call them as Oliver was really in rough shape after both sets of shots. I was told he may be a little tired, but he was not even able to stand up or walk. After this experience, my husband & I decided to try another clinic. Our research led us to Dr. Kup at Big Bay Animal Hospital.

Oliver has seen all the vets there (3 I believe) and they have all been very thorough & kind. Importantly, they have taken the time to address any questions or concerns we've had. There has always been a follow up call from one of the amazing staff members to see how Oliver is doing.

Our vet for many years now. Knowledgeable about giant breed dogs (we have an English mastiff). Staff are always excellent. My pup thinks they have the best cookies, he enjoys going to the vet

They were very helpful and clear with what was wrong and how to help my pet bearded dragon. They provided me with resources and allowed me to ask questions to help me understand. I trust my pet with them and would recommend them to anyone I know!

I have nothing but nice things to say about Big Bay Animal hospital! I recently adopted a hedgehog and immediately noticed that something was not right with her. I came across big bay on my hunt for a vet that treats exotic animals. Thankfully, the receptionist understood the urgency of my situation and took Luna in the same day and treated her. The staff were so kind to her and treated her so nicely! I really appreciated how the staff took time to call and check up on how she is doing in between appointments and were patient enough to answer all my questions about her situation.
She had two treatments and she is doing so much better! I am so happy that she was able to receive the care she needed.

The staff here are amazing. This was my first visit here and it was great. They were able to do an emergency check appointment for my rabbit where as other places didn't even try to accommodate. The staff are very knowledgeable and caring. They treat your pet as there own. Thank you so much for looking after my rabbit

I am so happy Choco is visiting this vet. I brought him here when he was only 8 weeks and now he is almost one year old. During his first year he has received a great service at the vet. All staff is very compassionate and professional. The doctors are very knowledgeable. Choco got neutered at this vet and he had a very fast recovery. They also offer Wellness plan to budget yourself with vet expenses. I would strongly recommend this place to everyone. I feel love every time I bring my Choco. Thank you for everything you do)

I take my kitten Pocket Lint here and can't say enough great things about them. They're very honest with their pricing which is a huge bonus. He went in for his 2nd round of shots and came out happy with new toys. Highly recommend to everyone to go here.

Brought in our lab Jaxx for his shot and the staff is very friendly and the Dr was very informative and explained everything to us about Jaxx's needs. Would very much recommend this awesome team. They took excellent care of the UTI that one of our pet rabbits had, provided great follow-up care and answered all our questions.

Big Bay Animal Hospital was able to squeeze a spot to see our new puppy Zayda who started to show signs of a skin infection after 2 days of having her.
From the first phone call and throughout her full appointment all communication was clear and everyone took the time to explain everything to us. Due to COVID restrictions and not being able to be in the clinic, staff ensured to call us and kept us informed on how she was doing even while she was waiting to see the veterinarian.

Great place to take your pets! My dog loves going there even though they trim his nails. Not to mention the diet they have him on is working wonders for him he's like a new dog.

I can't begin to express how thankful I am for the wonderful vets and staff at BBAH. They took such amazing care of my dog Katie over the years, from spaying to dental care to pancreatitis, and when it was time to say goodbye it was only bearable because of their kindness. Her passing was beautiful and peaceful, just as she deserved, and I will always be grateful.

My partner and I have been taking our pets here for years, and her mother for years before her. Dr. Tania Burrows provided us with care like I have never experienced, and made herself available when it came time to make a tough decision regarding our girl's health. They provide professional, quality care here, and look after your pets like they're their own. We can't sing their praises enough, and we owe them a huge debt of gratitude for working day and night trying to find a solution for our departed girl's failing health. Staff at this vet are very friendly. Vets are very knowledgeable. They have different plans that helps you keep your dog's health and budget under control. Very good at following up on your dog's health when needed. We sre happy and confident of having our dog in this vet.

Tania & Jeff have been there for my pets for different health issues over the years and they and their staff have been awesome.excellent health care at a more than fair cost. If you are looking for a veterinarian I would recommend big bay animal hospital.

You took our rabbit when she was in distress and it was an emergency without hesitation and with kind compassion and professionalism - far more than the "emergency" clinic. The vet and techs shared her x-ray and openly explained what she needed. You kept us up to date and impressed us with your professional kindness.

Charmer is now 15 years old and I trusted Big Bay Vet. Hosp.to care for him since we got him at 8 weeks old. The staff is fantastic, all kind and great with the animals and owners. Always a great experience for Charmer who hates going to the Vet.

Excellent care for our dogs, staff is friendly, knowledgeable and great customer service. Dr. Burrows is exceptional, very knowledgeable and always nothing but the best care for our dogs.
