Big Beef Bowl 牛大碗

One of the best beef noodle soups in the area. They used radish for their soup base to create a rich, sweet taste. The price is reasonable and it's not bad at all.

It’s my second time here. The beef noodle is authentic and delicious. AND THE PAN FRIED DUMPLINGS ARE TO DIE FOR.love this place

Parents brought me and my sister here. Absolutely delicious food, kind staff and owner. Owner invited us to see the kitchen and how they make such amazing food. Clean kitchen, materials made from scratch, What more could you ask for? Give it a shot and you wont regret it.

Food was perfect. Every single dishes were tasty and we have been their customers for years. Try noodles bowl with braised beef, picked mustard. Pork belly skewers, and the clay pot rice with chicken. Also the rice rolls with peanut sauce.

Portion size is huge - generous with the protein. Price is reasonable. Food itself is ok. I would definitely have loved this place when I was a student on a budget.

Classic beef: I got this dish w the flat/thick noodle size and omg look how THICK it is this bowl was SO SCRUMPTIOUS ️

Braised beef brisket: this bowl was ordered w round/regular noodles and the beef brisket was so JUICY and TENDER

The FRESH hand pulled noodles were so good omg and the soup base was just amazing I would say totally worth the price bc the portions were INCREDIBLE and the taste was so divine mmm

Cumin lamb skewer: this was one of the best lamb skewers I’ve had! The cumin flavour was really strong and the meat was so tender and tasty with a crispyyy edge!

Blackbean pork spare ribs clay pot: the ribs were superr flavourful and I really enjoyed the crispy rice at the bottom but I did enjoy the noodles more

The beef so hard. Not for me. May be I don't have nice teeth. That's why. Sorry about that

I really like the food here. I've been eating here for years and the owner is amazing. Tonight, I was ordering take out and the server didn't offer me my change. It wasn't a few nickels it was almost 3 dollars on a 15 dollar order. Sure we can tip even on take out orders, but the change wasn't even offered back to me. He just assumed he would keep it. I never said keep the change. Perhaps he thought I wouldn't ask for it due to a language barrier (I am Asian as well) but I ordered in English and it was clear he couldn't really converse in English. Sorry, sounds petty sure, but it's the principle of the matter. You should always offer someone back their change.

Attitude and service one star, very dirty tables and baby’s high seat with dried food stuck in several spots.

Service lady complained we should have known to wait without seating, I was with a baby said we didn’t know. She even commented •“Is is the first time you have eaten in a restaurant •”

Is this how you talk to customer?

So i went right next door, who greet me with a smile, get me a CLEAN high chair and served us RIGHT AWAY.

Go if you don’t have kids, go if you mind dirty tables and services.

Food is delicious and portion is good. But
1. I saw flies flying in dining area;
2. They didn’t give me change back when I paid (although I did intend to give the change as tips, I still expect them to give me change back and let me decide rather than taking all.)

Could be better. The kitchen probably was in a rush and didn't shave the daikon skin at all.

Affordable prices and delicious hand-pulled noodles. We got the classic beef hand pulled noodles. Noodles were chewy and the soup was flavorful. Maybe a little on the salty side but it was piping hot, add a little cold water to cool it down and balance out the salt. The beef to noodle and soup proportion was great. Lots of noodles and lots of beef. It’s quite cheap too, only about 12 dollars for a LARGE classic beef which is huge and would be 20 dollars elsewhere. If you want noodles, this is the spot in Markham.

I like the light broth with big portions. Ordered a bunch of times with different items and did not disappoint. I would recommend.

This place sure does hit the spot! Delicious, hand-pulled noodles with huge chunks of beef all in a rich aromatic broth - what could be better? Oh I know, how about a side of pan fried bao? So, so good! Juicy insides with a perfectly fried bottom. *chefs kiss*

Big Beef Bowl is a spot folks hit up for affordable Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles. We went with the flow to check it out. Sometimes it’s a success, other times it can be a miss. Sadly this time it was the latter result.

We were immediately seated in the spacious restaurant. The chefs were busy pounding & stretching out the latest noodle pulls. It took a while to notice we were ready to order. Our large order of Classic Beef arrived in a huge bowl with our choice of flat noodles. It was topped by plenty of parsley but only a few thin slices of beef & radish. Beef was bland but more importantly, the broth was not up to par with our recent Lanzhou noodles elsewhere.

Our other bowl with Braised Beef Brisket was similar but with round noodles. The darker broth was a little spicier, however we weren’t impressed by its depth. Sure hope Bruce Lee isn’t frowning from those wall frames!

Sad they moved from North York but glad to see they are still around. Always a solid choice for noodles and bao

Went there today on a whim as I was suggested this place by my friends previously. Place was very clean and nice environment. Menu is simple enough. I ended up getting the braised beef brisket noodle soup, pan friend baos and potstickers. The noodle soup was very good. Especially for the price (11 dollars). The baos and potstickers were decently priced (not expensive but when compared to a large bowl of noodles for 11 dollars. This seems a bit more on the pricer side). All in all, I would definitely recommend as the meal itself tasted amazing and was priced very well!

Amazing hand pulled noodles, service was super fast and the portion size is absolutely mind blowing, im a big eatter and a large bowl put alittle fear into me. Staff were super friendly. Great place for noodles and other items, highly reccomend the pork belly skewers, they were not 1 bit fatty and had a perfect balance between the smoky flavor, and the seasoning.

Good Chinese style ramen, staff are nice. Big portions, place is clean, and the variety of side dishes are better than other similar places.

Revisit after a while, handmade noodle is a bit firm, tasteful soup base, good portion, reasonable price

I can't believe I never stumbled upon Big Beef Bowl until now! I ordered the braised beef noodle, skewers, and dumplings. The broth is honestly SUPER tasty and clear not super overwhelming. The beef brisket is super tender and the noodles are always done right, never overcooked.
Skewers are also delicious and the dumplings are juicy. I also like that they offer small or large for the noodles since I can't each much but even the small I couldn't finish it! I can tell they don't cheap out on their ingredients.

You can see the kitchen through the glass where there's someone making the noodles from scratch!

Staff are also super friendly and attentive.

The restaurant is also very clean and comfy.

Will definitely recommend for all the noodles lovers out there!

Been here multiple times. Back recently with the vaccine passport being enforced. Seating outside along with indoor.

The noodles I ordered was the medium thick #2. The noodles were under seasoned and fairly hard. Menu stated it was more firm, but I found it hard and slightly chewy if that makes sense.

The beef brisket was good, it is very tender and some pieces melt when you try to pick it up with chop sticks.

Overall was a good meal, quality definitely went down as for the noodles which is the star of the dish. I have high hopes it was a one time mess up. Probably would return as it is fairly inexpensive.

My boyfriend and I originally came to try a different restaurant in the plaza, but decided to give Big Beef Bowl a chance on a whim. We were blown away at how tasty all the dishes we ordered were. Portions were huge and prices are very reasonable. Will be back!
