I was a loyal customer here, eating here nearly every lunch break, and after reading how horribly the owner treats his customers has prompted me to never return, and I will ensure all the people I know who have eaten here will never come back again. Instead of responding professionally, you are an emotionally charged wreck, insulting and degrading your customers who have brought forward valid concerns with your service. To those reading this: go back and read through the low reviews, and take note of how disrespectful the replies from this establishment are when faced with simple criticism, things that can be avoided with a simple apology. Grow up. EVERYBODY MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE DISRESPECT YOU WILL RECEIVE IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUE WITH THEIR SERVICE OR FOOD!

This owner, after being approached with concerns about their food, told his customer that they simply "over ate. " LOL! Didn't know you could get food poisoning from overeating! I have screenshotted all of their replies to their customers, who have respectfully left CONSTRUCTIVE reviews. Unprofessional management. Just know that people can die from food poisoning, and your claims to having regular inspections mean nothing when you don't handle the product properly (EMPLOYEE HANDWASHING, PROPER HANDLING AND CARE, CLEAN UTENSILS, ENSURING THE TEMPERATURE FOLLOWS THE 40 140 RULE.) Not sure how, but when people are getting sick from your food, maybe instead of insulting them and telling them they "OVER ATE" you respect the fact that there are VALID concerns with your products and make it better. BEWARE. Insult me all you want, your insecurities show, and I'm simply making sure people who decide to eat here know that people have routinely been sick after eating their food.

This place used to be amazing for years. Now the shawarma doesn't have much taste, the portion is smaller, there was 3 pieces of turnip. Poor quality pita falls apart.

Quality + preparation of product is decreased. This place used to be my regular lunch place. Today after long time I was in this area, tried my regular dish chicken Briyani. It was completely different what they used to prepare it before. There was very less chicken, veggies just for sake of name. When the owner of the store used to be on the floor food was amazing. Now it’s looks like owner has stopped looking after food preparation and quality which is being provided.

Would not recommend coming here I ordered the shawarma poutine and asked for the garlic sauce on the side and I assumed the stuff would be on the side when I got home since the bag is not transparent. I get home and there’s nothing no sauce on the side or anything fries and chicken. I heard good things about this place so I drive 20 minutes to get there and 20 minutes back. When I came back to ask for a remake since my food is now cold they told me I should have come back earlier but it takes 40 minutes total? I ordered at 12 came back at 1: 30? They were reluctant to remake my food and the person I was talking too was very rude trying his hardest to make up excuses to seem like I was in the wrong. All I wanted was garlic sauce on the side of my poutine as opposed to on top of it plus I didn’t even eat any of it before and still were trying to say I was wrong. Will not be coming back

EDIT: The response written confirms i will not be going back it's almost if you did not read what i wrote. I wouldn't say I refused to pay, i declined because i did not want to further give you my money. Learn to some customer service and maybe some reading comprehension lessons as well.

First time here and got the chicken shawarma dinner platter and it did not disappoint. Tasty and fresh for the value. Large portion for one person. Tender chicken.

This is my favorite shawarma place, ever. I've been going here for 7 years. Seriously, it's that good.

That being said, be sure to go earlier in the day when the adults are running the restraunt, because I've had quite poor service several times from their younger staff

The food is amazing, the staff is friendly and polite. 10/10 will drive from Hamilton or Mississauga just for their shawarma!

People may say that staff is rude, but its quite the opposite. The staff here are very nice and will fix your order of there was anything wrong. They have great food and amazing service. 10/10 everything

Great service and really yummy food my family favorite is the chicken shawarma poutine. Made with fresh ingredients if your hungry great place and great prices. This place is so busy so you better hurry and some tasty food

An all-time great of Oakville Shawarma. Pretty average prices, but the lunch special, which is 2 discounted chicken wraps, is value. Has pretty much all the toppings you would expect. Wraps do a good job of staying together. Unfortunately you can't eat inside anymore, but otherwise, if you're in Oakville and want shawarma, I think this is the place to go.

I miss when it was 2 guys working there. Now it’s just people who don’t know how to make the food like the old times.

Absolutely delicious as always! I tried the chicken shawarma poutine and it was delicious. The shawarma wrap was bang on as usual. Highly recommend!

Was very disappointed when I was turned away at 7: 45pm because they were 'closed'. They close at 8pm on Wednesdays. I drove all that way to make it well before 8 only to be turned away. I walked in at the same time as another family and they were allowed to stay but not me. Had to leave a review because I was quite furious with the attitude that was given to me to tell me they were closed.

Our new favorite fast dinner. The chicken dinner is outstanding and with an extra chicken kabob my wife and I can both have dinner and lunch the next day. Great food at resonable prices.

Got shawarma wraps and a plate. Wraps arent filled much and the beef plate tasted old and too salty and chewy and powdery to the bite. We didn't finish either of them.

Highly recommend their chicken shawarma poutine. Decent sized portion and unlike most it's not submerged in gravy.

This place is a hit and miss. Some days their food is excellent and the staff is friendly but the next, the food is bland and the staff is incredibly rude. They also don't seem to like you when THEY make a mistake.

Delicious chicken Shawarma wrap The fries were crispy and delicious. I could smell the food from the outside, this place is a real deal.

However noticed the takeout portion sizes have drastically reduced. Not sure if it is the pandemic after effect. Hope the management looks into it.

Best restaurant! Everything on the menu is delicious - come here every week! A family favourite. Known around Oakville as one of the best.

This place is great! They put tabule salad in the shawarma wraps which is so great. Very tasty!

Food is decent but the guy working the counter became incredibly rude when he got my order wrong. I have been here many times before but I won't be coming back with uncalled for attitude like that. There's lots of good shawarma places in Oakville that don't have rude staff.

For the price this place can’t be beat. Sometimes they go a little light on the garlic but either way the food is superb and the staff always have a great attitude!

Edit June 2021: we can clearly see management took the reigns back.orders are right, taste is there and customer service is top notch. I am back as a regular.

In normal times i love this place but since quarantine, i ordered 5 times by Uber Eats and my order was far from being acceptable 100% of the time (even though I wrote in the details section "everything in with generous amounts of garlic and spicy sauce". And last 2 times I went in and ordered on-site and picked up and once again Shawarma was dry without the ordered garlic and spicy sauce. I will skip until things are back to normal. I post this review so owner realizes what is going on, the young staff do not seem to care at all and it is jeopardizing the business in these precarious times.

This is their "chicken" biryani. Please let me know if you can spot the chicken, cus I can't.

I asked for half salad and half rice he made some weird excuse "it's a set portion" and to "order a salad on the side". I wasn't planning to eat that much so I thought "whatever no biggy, I'll just add some on top"

The cashier was a new kid who didn't charge me for the extra toppings, so the manager (I'm assuming that's his position with the way he was speaking to everyone) said "everything costs money, next time let them know" and said it loud enough to make sure I heard it. His demeanor made me laugh a little ngl.

I usually go to lazeez and get half rice/salad but didn't wanna drive too far so went here instead. When the owner worked here, he was much more polite and generous, this dude is just petty.

It use to be a good spot, but doesn't seem like it anymore. This is one visit after a long time though, so take my review with a grain of salt.

Disappointing.

The food is amazing.fresh. Our favorite is chicken shawarma dinner. Love the garlic sauce.taking 1 star off as for the last 3 times, In tandoori chicken dinner, chicken is completely burnt and dry.

They charge you whatever they feel like instead of the price on the menu. Small shawarma for the price. The chicken smells bad and the taste is off. First and last experience, theres better places to spend your money. Should be zero stars.

I ask my husband to get me the chicken bariyani almost every day, after giving birth.

The food is sooo good! And they are always accommodating to my order which I understand can be inconvenient.

I only wish they wouldn't make my husband feel so uncomfortable and appreciate the consistent business instead.

Been coming to this local place for over 7 years. Food and service was fantastic. However, last few visits have been a disaster. Wrong orders given, overcharged and portions ridiculously small. New staff are not accomafating and confrontational.

The owners are very nice to the community, if you can't pay for one, they will give you one for free. The shawarma is very good size, it is enough for a average lunch portion.
Taste is okay when comparing with all other similar food. I'm not an expert on shawarma so I just compare with other pitas I've had.
Its not expensive for the portion, very good price.

Very friendly staff. Great food, especially the chicken shawarma. Plus it has a very big heart for the community. They will offer you a free shawarma meal if you’re hungry and can’t afford to pay.

Been going here since it opened, all throughout high school as it’s walking distance from multiple schools. The shawarma wraps and poutine are absolutely amazing. Don’t live in Oakville anymore but it’s always a must go when I’m back in town.

Not a huge fan of the hot sauce (sriracha) and imo the garlic sauce is a little runny but overall good shawerma and omg the fries! U can hear them crunch out in the parking lot, so good!

I have been coming here since they opened and it has always been amazing! The people who work here are so nice and always happy. I don't live in Oakville anymore, but come back every 6 months for my dentist and when I do I always stop here for lunch after.

Tasty chicken schwarma. Chicken not dry like some places. Service is quick even during busy lunch rush. Just tried their onion rings and they are extra crispy and not oily. Tasty batter as well.

The food is really good. And service is timely as well. Prices are likewise reasonable. Combo means adding a can of soda and a small serving of fries for an additional $2 - not bad!

Bought chicken shawarma. Brought it home and it had no chicken inside. So disappointed. Drove so far to try this place. Tried calling. No one seemed to care.

WOW! WOW! AND WOW! Amazing food. Had the chicken biryani and the lunch special and I had nothing but the most enjoyable eating experience in a long time. Soo good and must try. I will definitely come back!

The chicken here is fantastic - compared to other shawarma places, the chicken here is lean, not greasy and cooked perfectly. The staff are really friendly and you can tell that they care about their food and the customers experience. Highly recommend.

Big grill =big taste and big heart. Great shawarmas, but more important willing to help feed those who can't afford the food.

Amazing service, and food is. You have to wait a little to be attended to but it depends on how busy it is.

First of all, this is probably the best shawarma in the GTA - so jot that down. Second, if you aren’t tipping when you come here, you don’t deserve to eat here. THIS IS SOUL FOOD.if you don’t tip these glorious servants of the lord, you have no soul. Big grill has had my back through everything in life. Break ups, loss etc. Theres a shawarma for that. I'm a regular there, they make wonderful shawarma for a decent price. You should try their shawarma poutine as well, it's delicious!

The food here is always fresh, good price for a decent sized meal. The lunch special of 2 shawarma wraps for $13 is great and if that is not enough food then the lunch sized shawarma dinner is only a few dollars more per person. Top 2 Mediterranean place to eat in Oakville and always great, friendly service!

The service was friendly, the restaurant was clean and the food was tasty; I got a chicken shawarma wrap. Prices seemed above what Lazeez and Taza would charge, and the ordering process was disorganized and awkward. You have to order at the counter, then enter a narrow aisle along with other customers to select your toppings, then exit out of that crowded aisle back to the counter to pick up your order. Once the order is ready the restaurant employee also calls out the order, but since multiple customers can have the same order they should really implement a numbering system to avoid confusion.

Had my kids' Birthday party catered from here, and the everything was great. The food was hot, and ready for when I asked. The portions were supposed to be for 25 people, but it was a generous amount and could feed a lot more. And, of course, the food was tasty. Except for the Channa Masala. That one was rather bland in my opinion. Overall, I'm really happy that we catered from here.

PS - We LOVE their take on the Chicken Shawarma Poutine! Strongly recommended.
