Great market, super clean, great variety of meats ect, polite helpful staff.
Last week an elderly woman fell in front of big reds. I stayed with the lady, and a local mail man, and avondale variety store employee helped me watch over the lady until EMS arrived. I WAS SO IMPRESSED BY an employee who came running out of Big Reds and she grabbed blankets and coats from her car to help. The owner John also came out to see if he could assist. This is what I call " Community " it's so wonderful to see responsible business owners with!

Fantastic service, produce. Curb side is great, used all the time during covid restrictions. So glad the kept it in place for quick same day pick up on Tuesday. My go to!

I've been hearing for years people recommending Big Red, and today I was able to stop in.
If you've never been and prefer a less busy store traffic, don't come during the weekend. I appreciated the cashier's information about that, however, truly amazing how all staff knew how to keep things flowing.
Can't wait to dig into the T-bones we purchased.

This place has been a staple in my shopping for many years. My children and grandchildren have benefited from their fundraiser packages. The quality is always fantastic. Best store made corn beef in ontario. With their products I have pulled off many a stellar night at the grill. Will be going back soon. Cheers

Part of our weekly routine! For deli meat every sandwich we eat (like our hot italian ones we make- photo) and charcuterie board has Big Red meat. Their bacon is unbeatable, and their chicken breasts are huge. This is a MUST stop for us. I also randomly got a cucumber that was 10 salt shakers long.they have excellent quality of produce and when they have deals on it it's even better.

Picked out my first ever corned beef from the barrel…. It was THE BEST! And now will be the annual purchase. Big Reds does not disappoint.

It gives you a quick shot of grocery shopping but needs to have a better organized. However, you can find variety of meat here.

Got better.now they sell more local goods and still have the best meat in Niagara.try the Bacon!

Great chicken wings most of the other products are high quality but expect to pay way more than in any other store. The store is very small and difficult to make your way through when bust. Expansion is definitely needed.

Great selection of meat.its primarily a butcher shop with a deli and small grocery store.you can buy hotdogs hamburgers steaks chicken etc in box quantities or individual pieces. Their bacon is excellent. They have prepared foods and salads and a deli section. There is also basic vegetables and fruit for sale. A little on the pricy side but good quality food. You get what you pay for. The have specials on from time to time. If you are in the area check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Their Memphis rub is outstanding, best rub seasoning for the summer BBQ and Kabobs. Lots of amazing seasoned fresh pork, chicken and beef, and all kind of big size Italian sausages to try out and most important, all superb quality meat and delicacies are well priced and affordable. We ordered our turkey from here for Christmas.requested a 30 to 35 lbs bird. When we went to puck it up.all we got was a 15lbs turkey. First they couldn't find our name or number.second they said they had called everyone to notify them.funny we never got no call because we had gone elsewhere if that was the case. On top of it all.the staff were very ignorant and rude.

Best place for meat! I come in every time the triple mix, sausage and chicken wings are on sale! Always fast and friendly service. They were out of triple mix but asked if I could wait while they made more. Of course! Definitely will be coming back weekly!

Im so disappointed.i ordered a fresh 14 lb turkey 2 weeks prior to pickup i was told weight would be 11 to 15lb category so i asked if it could be toward the 15lb mark to feed all my guests.yup no problem.picked up turkey today under 11lbs called to complain only to be told turkey shortage they had to give me what was available and maybe substitute for a ham or turkey breast.are you kidding me that was all i got for a sorry we didnt call you to let you know we couldnt deliver on your order.in a panic i called Lococcos and sure enough they had a 17lb fresh turkey available.from here on in Lococcos will have my business
I appreciate the offer to return the turkey for a refund but i put it in the freezer and will keep it for a smaller gathering, I'm more upset about the response i got from your partner, i know John would never had addressed this so poorly and maybe a call if you cannot fullfill an order, no one wants to scramble last minute for Christmas dinner. My friend also ordered a 20lb and was given a 13lb bird. Hopefully in the future if this ever occurs again you will make that call

It was Amazing! The smoked Turkey and Kielbasa are the best I have ever tasted! The Chicken Wings are a good size and The chicken fingers are awesome! Will be back next week!

This is the place to get great meat and produce. Bacon wrapped chicken medallions, in house brined corn beef, and all the fixings are fantastic.

The store is very small, and busy.
But the food is worth it.
Will return again. And buy the chicken fingers, you will thank me later for it.

This is the best butcher/local produce store you can go to in the Niagara Region. Personal faves are the bacon, deli meat and their pre-marinated chicken. They make pretty much everything in the store, at their processing facility down the road, right in Thorold.

Great quality meat. Never disappointed. Asked for a turkey breast the day after Thanksgiving, and the clerk went to the back and found me one. Great service, great prices.

Recently found out Big Red does delivery, got a phone call, giving me multiple delivery time options, Driver showed up in the time window. Everything was packed neatly and the meats (especially the deli) taste absolutely fantastic.this will be my go to place now.

Best place for the freshest cuts of meat. All sorts of pre-made meals to choose from, if you don't feel like cooking. Prime produce too, and local if available.

The butcher of all butchers. I only get my deli needs from Red Market. An excellent hot-counter as well! I would recommend to anyone!

Over 25 yrs and never had a bad experience. I used to live in Thorold up until 12 yrs ago and still travel there there at least once a week.

Friendly staff! Great selection! Line was long but definitely worth it. Wait of about 10 minutes to get into the store.

This market never disappoints! Fresh meats, deli, veggies. Great regular prices and excellent specials. You gotta try their kielbasa.

Only their HOT pepperettes are not hot anymore.tastes like regular.last 3 or 4 times I got them.and I made sure the girl took them from the hot container this time.

Always amazing meat and produce. Good prices. Fantastic staff. This is our go to for any meats and when someone looks for a recommendation, here is always my answer.

They have an extensive selection of meat, vegetables and prepared food. You don't have to buy prepackaged meats and cold cuts. You want 1/4 lb of capicola? You want a pound and a quarter of hamburger? You want one pork chop? No problem! Just ask for it and one of the staff will wrap it for you. The prices are good too, always better than supermarket price. People come for miles to shop here, not kidding.

I quit Costco and started getting my steaks here. Have had striploins, ribeyes, and tenderloins, and they were all fantastic!

Would love to get some big tomahawk steaks here, or just some thicker ribeyes. Not sure if this is possible, but I'd love to get some steaks that are 1.5" or more thick.

Produce is always top notch as well. Apples, strawberries, blueberries, all amazing. Can't say enough positive things about Reds.

Fantastic butcher and market. I go out of my way and pass by a bunch of other food shops to get to BRM. Never get my steaks anywhere else. Yesterday's visit was for family bbq steaks I cooked tn for a day. Everyone just loved the top sirloin!

Mainly head over to Big Reds for their stellar meat selection, but they've got a nice assortment of local produce and their own sauces and ready to go items. Great steaks! Their NY strips are on point!

Our first visit here. Most enjoyable. Fresh fruits and veggies and A1 meat selection. We will be back. The lineup wasn't too long, no more than 10 mins.

Moved to the neighbourhood in August 2018 and have been a customer ever since. It is amazing to have the best of everything at a place just a few blocks away.

Great experience! People were friendly and used their manners.just not the people who were shopping.they didn't respect anybody.

I come to big reds at least 2 times a week or more. This morning I went at around ten after eight and I stand outside waiting to get in, I didn't even realize that they are open to seniors between 8-9 (my fault and I respect that) what I don't respect is how an employee came out with a bad attitude about it and made it clear that I don't belong there I didn't even say a word and walked away. This place will never get my business again how embarrassing to be talked to like that because she thought she could in front of 5 other people.

Always a pleasure, but these past couple of days they ROCKED! It was so busy but you gave EXCELLENT service (as always) from the people in the back serving to the cashiers at the front to the people keeping shelves stocked with excellent and multiple choices. I went there earlier today to pick up some dinner for my boyfriend and I. I recently hurt myself and need to use crutches for the time being. The staff in this location were so helpful and understanding. They helped me get my groceries to the counter to pay for and also brought them out to my car. It was such a nice feeling having a company take pride in their customers. I unfortunately didn’t catch the woman’s name who helped me but I want to commend her for helping me the way she did. Thank you so much. I’ll definitely continue being a customer to this location!

Honestly best deli meat market in niagara. I have been a couple of times and they are always polite it is very business oriented and straight to the point but i like that. Just bought their winter package one of the guys even helped carry it to my car for me. Super nice place with great quality.

The service at Big Red Market is above average. But the reason I shop there started with bacon. I enjoy my bacon and eggs for breakfast. I had been using chain store bacon for years. Then I had some from Big Red and it was 10 times better. Then a melt in my mouth steak. Now I buy all my meat and some other groceries there. Big Red means great quality at competitive prices
