BiglarKinyan Design Planning Inc.

We decided to go with BiglarKinyan Design for our whole house renovation, and honestly, it was a really great experience from start to finish. Fardid, who led the design, was patient with us as we talked about what we wanted and needed. They helped us make a bunch of decisions that would've been pretty tough to figure out on our own.

While the renovation was happening, we hit a few bumps like site issues and some products being backordered, but the team was awesome at tackling those challenges. We really appreciated their hard work and how they went out of their way to help us out. The folks on both the design and construction teams were easy to work with, and now that we're looking at our newly renovated home, we're seriously impressed with the quality of the work they've done. Super happy with how everything turned out!

I should have known from the first few times both Fardid and Ken did not get back to me timely, that this would be a sign of things to come. My 850sf cosmetic condo renovation took 5 and a half months before I could move back in (paperwork all stated 4 months - and at the 3 month point it was up to me to ask when would the job be finished). And even then more work was to be done. Lack of consistent follow up is be my biggest complaint, as I felt it was always me asking for the next steps, to the point where I had to request a weekly update meeting.
The work overall is good, however at the end things were very rushed, and as a result, some sloppy work. I spent 45 minutes with Fardid, at his request, giving feedback as to how they could improve. And then at the end of this entire project (when I still have deficiencies) I was told (and I quote) "At this point we are not prepared to do more than what we have done and offered to do". This is after we mutually agreed to "forgive your receivables owed to our firm" based on the continued lack of communication and almost 2 months longer than the project timeline.
I wonder why my job seems so different from all these 5 star reviews? They have left me in a lurch - not even providing bills of sale for any warranty work that I now have to do on my own.which the whole reason I selected them was due to Fardid's value proposition of "when we do the full job, we take care of everything including after sales service. "
It's been 11 months now since I've moved back in, and still a bitter taste in my mouth when it comes to Biglar Kinyan.

I got to know BiglarKinyan from a co-worker who designed his kitchen and bathroom. He describes them as professionals in their work and easy to deal with. So, I called BirglarKinyan to design our open concept plan (combining kitchen, dining, and living room). Fardid and Monique met us and patiently listened to us explaining our vision of the room. It was back-and-forth communication until they produced the layout that includes electrical (lights and outlet) and the 3D model. My wife and I were very happy with the design, especially when it became real. Everything came out perfectly.

I highly recommend BiglarKinyan design services to anyone planning to do any renos. The design service is only a tiny fraction of the total renovation cost and it is worth having professionals do it for you.

From start to finish Fardid and his team did an excellent job with my entire project. The fit and finish are the best I've seen in the business.
