Crack central.a guy pissed himself in front of me on the staircase from the walmart parking lot to the bus stop. It's conveniently close to everything and has anything I need so I can't really complain
A good place to visit it has a Bulk Barn a bank a Loblaws a food court and lots of other shops, it's also good for walking in because it's a long straight corridor good for walking back and forth in for exercise
They had a fantastic guy dressed as Grinch at the Santa photo set-up, he was playing the part perfect and the kids all loved him! You gotta go see him!
I love this place, it has everything you need and more things you would want. But don't think because there's an YIG there that you can do groceries on a Sunday past 5pm, cause it's closed at 5pm on Sunday which I think is not the way things should be, they can close every other store but leave the grocery store open at least, groceries is a necesity. Also, trying to put myself in other people's shoes; cigarettes and alcohol is the main legal addictions for so many years, therefore I would think that the LCBO there should also be open later, some people who NEED alcohol sometimes don't have money saved up on Saturday to buy two days worth and it's probably hard for some of them to travel further to another area when they do get money after 5pm, so I'm guessing some people who live in this area go threw alcohol withdrawal on Sunday night, all night and it's most likely hell for them to get to the LCBO on Monday morning, it creates a cycle that's hard to break.
Walmart here is disgusting, almost every isle has multitudes of frozen or refrigerated food stuffed randomly throughout. I would not recommend perishable food here as I have personaly seen these foods being put back at original areas after being left in bacteria inducin temperatures. Also left over open drinks and food from other restaurants using the isle like garbage cans. There is also a serious hygiene problem at this location, employees with body odors that could melt paint off the walls. The kind of odor that makes you choke and draws tears.
Great selection of stores but they all seem to kick people out 30-40mins early. What’s the point of saying you’re open until 8pm if most stores close at 7: 20 or 7: 30.
While it still has many stores, the current economic situation has effectively killed this mall. COVID-19 regulations are not followed that well and many stores are either fully closed still or have very awkward hours
The most hated mall in all of Ottawa for me. It's just seniors that hang around here every day of the week and purchase nothing. All the shops are very obviously tailored for their elderly clientele. I avoid this place as much as possible because of how depressed it makes me. Also every restaurant in the food court has roaches. (I used to work in there)
- That escalator tho - It smelled like poop for a while - RIP Zellers restaurant. Best poutine in existence and the nicest servers in the galaxy. - Jehovah's Witnesses. Or maybe Mormons (I dunno, I just don't look at them) in the bus station
Despite not listing a single positive thing it still manages to somehow be a decent mall.
I used to enjoy this shopping center for its variety but the stores I used to frequent have been closing one by one, leaving only a walmart thats out of the way for where I live in the city. The shopping centre, to me at least appears to be dying.
Had a Billings Bridge gift card, went a year after the card was issued. Only 10% was left on the card. So yeah, THAT happens there. They give out cards that deduct funds every month. Do not promote this behaviour: (
Old people mall but convenient transit hub N good selection decent food court banks Walmart drs hair styles shoes N phone. Carriers local grocer coffee shops
The Mall is primarily a services and basics retail facility serving the Alta Vista and Glebe areas of Ottawa. A Walmart, TD, CIBC, RBC, Rexall, Independent Grocery store, food court, dry cleaner along with various clothing stores and electronic device shops provide a fairly complete retail experience for most of your basic needs.
This mall has seen many changes over the past 30 - 50 years. A WalMart at one end and a TD bank and Bulk Barn at the other. Various clothing, jewelry, telephone services, drug and grocery stores in between. It's a popular place for the older set in the neighborhood, but you won't find everything here. But it's well lit, clean with ample parking, although often it's hard to find a spot. Better and worse malls in the city. Good presence of security.
There aren't a lot of stores that appeal to a younger demographic but if you're older than its a great place for you to shop. It's also pretty quiet there and not overwhelming
Aaaaaah The Place To Be.avec des Restaurants HALAL (Chawarma) et un Walmart bien rempli.c'est juste point a coté d'une station de correspondance de Bus. Supper vraiment
