Thanks Lynda for answering my questions and for your administrative help with our move from Brantford to St. Catharines. Also thanks very much to the crew that you sent to us. They were wonderful to deal with, and made our move as easy as it could have been. If my memory serves me correctly this is the third time Birds has moved us, and we would not have any other company move us.if we are to move again. Birds is second to none to deal with. The crew was very professional. They did the job as quickly and efficiently as they could at both ends of our move. They are the best.

I wanted to write to give my praise for the wonderful job that your movers did. I appreciated when they all walked up the driveway, shook hands and introduced themselves to my husband and myself. What a nice thing to do. It started the day on a very positive note. Please tell them to keep doing that.

They all worked extremely hard. They were very careful with our possessions. We sat back and watched them work and realized it was the best decision to hire Bird's Moving.

On time, on budget, in scope. Everything went smoothly and perfectly with the team from Bird's Moving and Storage. The guys who came to do our move were personable and professional. They lugged more in one trip than I thought possible, then came back for more. The two of them were great when we had a key delay and hustled to get everything completed on time. Wonderful service from the first email until the bill arrived.

We have moved a lot! The most stressful part is "Will the guys
handle my worldly possessions with care and respect? Will they be trustworthy, decent to deal with and hard working guys? "

So, the answer to all of the above is a resounding Yes! Our team, Dave and Chris, led by Callam, were all of the above. We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

We were extremely pleased with Bird's Moving for our move from Welland to Cambridge. They arrived on time, loaded and unloaded the truck quickly and set up the beds etc. The team was all so pleasant to work with. They also offered to move furniture if we wanted within the new apartment. They made our move less stressful for sure!

From my first encounter with John to my last good bye to driver Cam and his crew, the Bird’s moving experience has been incredible.
As we were downsizing from a large home to about half the square footage, I was worried that we would still be taking more than we needed, particularly tools and possessions that my husband was hesitant to part with despite not really using them.
John told me not worry and he was right.
Yes, we had a lot of boxes, furniture and heavy tools to move and yes, the move went overtime and needed a second smaller truck but Cam and his crew were calm, professional and courteous throughout the process.
Nothing was lost or damaged and our satisfaction was clearly their goal.
Moving is stressful but these men took care and communicated frequently. I knew I was in good hands.
They were awesome and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

We used Birds for several jobs. They were always on-time and handled our furnishings with care. They were very cooperative and each team of movers we dealt with were outstanding! Great experience and would definitely use them again!

I used Bird’s for my moving AND storage. Moving out could be very stressful especially by then I didn’t have a place to move in. My friend suggested to contact Bird’s and I am glad I did. After everything is settled down, I’d like to say that I am very satisfied with their services. Very professional manager and crew. They handled my fragile stuff with care. Also, the crew is fun to “work” with - even though I didn’t have to lift up anything.

I hired Bird’s to move my belongings within my local region. The crew arrived in the morning and began packing items away into the truck. While disassembling my couch, one of the movers stood it up on its side (which was not a smart idea given being an unevenly weighted object). The couch fell over and smashed into our bar cabinet, shattering $600 worth of stemware from my wife and I’s wedding. The glass that shattered all poured out of the cabinet onto my child’s $50 play mat (which is now garbage as well). My poor wife is now devastated and crying.

The driver of the crew of 3 (Cam) did apologize and offer to waive the $89 packing fee (which I will acknowledge was kind of him, but most certainly not a reasonable outcome given the situation).

I emailed John (the sales consultant who originally quoted my job), and while apologetic at first, I was offered a $150 “courtesy credit” and given the run-around because I did not elect to take their additional insurance (the cost of which is $100 and has a $1,000 deductible so it is completely irrelevant in this scenario). Not only this, but the $89 fee for packing the China (which was now 50% shattered and destroyed) was still on my invoice—I effectively was offered $60 for nearly $700 in damages.

When I pointed this out to John, he seemed outright dismissive and only was concerned with settling this and parting ways/moving on and now offered $300 (now this is effectively $210 after accounting for the $89 packing fee—again, to pack the remnants of our stemware collection. After back and forth, the best I was able to get to was a $300 credit and waiving the $89 “packing fee”.

Over and above all this, we have a giant gash taken out of the doorframe of our previous that also must be repaired - the crew didn’t put any corner padding up.

John (the owner) is beyond unprofessional and simply cares about ridding himself of any potential dispute as fast as possible rather than genuinely caring about a concern a customer has. I would never recommend Bird’s to anyone.

I hired them for a move that took place a couple of weeks ago. The movers were hardworking so this is not a 1 star review for the employee efforts. John the owner did the estimate thru Zoom which I thought was odd but figured a byproduct of the pandemic. What a mistake that was! The owner underestimate the amount of my belongs and sent a truck that was too small. The movers knew as soon as they walked the home that truck was not big enough but didn't say anything until the truck was full. I called John for help and his response was basically I saw what you had three weeks ago and sent the right size truck. Don't know what happened in the past few weeks. (As if I went out and bought a load of stuff) Said to him I am now stuck. He said he could arrange for another truck the next day, I had to get 3 movers (really only needed two) and he was going to charge me standard rates.including travel time. I was furious. Brushed it off as oh well.let's move on. I ended up making other arrangements. Thank God I bridged my closings 5 days otherwise I would have been screwed. He didn't seem to care. Offered me a $50 credit. Like that doesn't even cover the travel time for the second crew. I strongly do not recommend this company. Doesn't take responsibility when they made a mistake. Clearly couldn't be bothered to do a proper estimate by actually visiting the site.
